Rattata @ Focus Sash
Ability: Run Away
Level: 1
- Endeavor
- Quick Attack
- Taunt
- Protect

Normally Geo Pom will easily beat standard Rattata 1v1, but with this surprise set you can take down even the most potent of setup sweepers with ease! Basically just Endeavor until they attack you, or try to dodge your sick strats by going for a second Geo and taunting them on the next turn so they are forced to attack after. Once you get the Pom down to 1%, its an easy pick off with Quick Attack. Maybe now the nazi mods will rank Rattata. :blobtriumph:

Shuckle @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shell Smash
- Toxic
- Infestation
- Rest

The standard, low-ladder hazard-setting Shuckle has little to frighten this qt birb. However, with this set you wall Pompom, as well as any other slightly relevant offensive Pokemon in existence. And defensive Pokemom in existence. Or any Pokemon, really. This Shuckle set counters everything.

Except Clefairy. But who runs that?

Hakamo-o @ Eviolite
Ability: Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Devastating Drake
- Heart Swap
- Acid Downpour
- All-Out Pummeling

Nobody expects Hakamo-o with Wonder Guard so they get a big surprise when they bring in pom pom on the fighting move and cant damage back. Heart Swap is great for stealing pom poms geomancy boost too (gottem). skrt.

This one is easy. In order to successfully lure in Oricorio Pom-Pom, all you really need is free garlic breadsticks. There is not a single being alive who can resist these seductresses. After that, all you need to do is move in with your wooden bat and smash Oricorio Pom-Pom. I have made a step-by-step guide on how to do this:

Step 1.png

Step 1: Lure in the Pom-Pom with stated breadsticks.

Step 2.png

Step 2: Move in with your bat.

Step 3.png

Step 3: Apply bat to Oricorio Pom-Pom. Congrats! You lured that threat!

Please give us a harder one next week Dibs The Dreamer

Sliggoo @ Eviolite
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Careful Nature
- Spectral Thief
- Sunsteel Strike
- Shore Up
- Lunar Dance

The hero we deserve, but not the one we need! Sliggoo is a hard counter mz edit: this is lure that threat not counter that threat... to the proposed set of Oricorio Pom-Pom. With a careful nature and Eviolite, Sliggoo can soak up any hit, even when boosted at +2:

+2 252 SpA Oricorio-Pom-Pom 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Sliggoo: 115-136 (33.8 - 40%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Then, Sliggoo will proceed to steal Oricorio’s boosts with Spectral Theif, reversing the momentum immediately. Shore Up is for reliable recovery, and Sunsteel Strike is there to get past prevalent Unaware walls such as Bibarel and Cosmog. If Sliggoo has been chipped over the match, and cannot take 2 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolts, Lunar Dance is the emergency button, which will take down Oricorio as well due to copying Sliggoo’s Lunar Dance with it’s Dancer ability. Battle Armor is there so 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt cannot crit you through boosts.

You see, Oricorio is quite young, having only a couple years under his belt. He's in his awkward teenage years, and you can use this to your advantage. Oricorio loves to look at pictures of sexy bird Pokemon, so thats all you need. He especially loves the ones with long legs.

Just look at those legs... Can you really blame Oricorio?

Next all you gotta do is tell little Oricorio that they're all dudes. GG.

I think it's safe to say that Akir won with his legendary Garlic Breadstick into Bat combo. Such a good post.
Also thank you to everyone for joining in on the April Fools joke and having a laugh with me c:

Week 22

Type: Null @ Eviolite
Ability: Battle Armor
Happiness: 0
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Frustration
- Toxic
- Sleep Talk
- Rest

Happy Luring!

Mesprit @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
- Psyshock
- Knock Off

- U-turn / Healing Wish / Coverage
- U-turn / Healing Wish / Coverage

Mesprit usually invites Type: Null in for free; however, with Knock Off and Psyshock, Mesprit is able to do far more to Type: Null than it would like. Even if Mesprit doesn't take out Type: Null itself, removing its Eviolite helps your team out a lot in terms of breaking it down.

(I know Psyshock isn't exactly uncommon; however, you need it over Psychic to be able to actually do something to Type: Null.)

0 Atk Type: Null Return vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mesprit: 102-120 (33.8 - 39.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Mesprit Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Type: Null: 153-181 (38.8 - 45.9%) -- 19.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ SpA Life Orb Mesprit Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Type: Null: 168-199 (42.6 - 50.5%) -- 93.4% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

awesome gaming

Masquerain (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 200 HP / 252 SpA / 56 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rest
- Quiver Dance
- Hydro Pump
- Bug Buzz

This set avoids the 3HKO from Frustration and essentially reduces Type: Null to little more than set-up fodder. The HP evs can help out against other threats like Magmortar.

Exeggutor-Alola @ Choice Band
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Dragon Hammer
- Superpower
- Earthquake

Type: Null can usually always live two hits from Alolan Eggy and Rest off damage, stalling turns against Trick Room variants. However, Choice Band Alolan Eggy has a chance of KOing Type: Null with two Superpowers, and a guaranteed 2HKO after rocks.

252+ Atk Choice Band Exeggutor-Alola Superpower over 2 turns vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Eviolite Type: Null: 374-442 (94.9 - 112.1%) -- 31.3% chance to 2HKO

The given spread also outspeeds uninvested base 60s, which also means you’ll outspeed Type: Null.
