Introduction
Major League finally returns after disappearing for more than a year.
Once again it will be a gens 1-6 OU league consisting of 4 conferences, groups of 15 players each, later going into playoffs. Each player in each group will play all others in the group once home and away, earning a point for each win, with tied battles not counting (gen 1-4 ties must be repeated). Home is playing your selected tier and away is playing your opponent's selected tier (playing the same tier twice possibly). Each conference will have at 2 or 3 players for each OU tier. So players play 15 or 16 battles of their selected OU tier and 12 or 13 of other OU tiers. Conferences will also roughly correspond to time zones. The Top 4 ranked players from each conference will be seeded into the Major League OU playoffs, consisting of a round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, all best of 5.
Due to the type and limited size of the tournament, players will be approved to compete by the hosts. Two factors will be considered when approving players: primarily, a very good commitment to play tournament matches (i.e. it's rare for them to have dead games, activity awarded against them or be subbed out); secondarily, a good reputation for being fiercely competitive (i.e. they have good tournament results). This year a team of Drud, Eseque , sceptross and I will each be responsible for a conference and also equally share the hosting of the overall tournament.
The tournament is planned to last a total of 9 weeks - 7 weeks for qualification and 2 weeks for playoffs. Players will play 2 opponents home and away each week in qualification, while in the playoffs players will take turns to pick tiers from gens 1-6 OU, the player with the highest seed picking first. #1-#4 playoff seeds will be assigned to each of the 1st ranked players in their conference, while #5-#8 will be assigned to 2nd and so on, with most wins, least activity wins, least deadline violations determining the subranking.
The Major League RoA champion gets the opportunity of displaying
in their signature, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd in a conference can display
,

respectively. These players will be listed in the RoA Hall of Fame.
