Rejected Make A New Rank Lower Then Voice.

Pokemon Showdown should make a new rank lower then voice. its the same as any regular user. but has the ^ or any other fitting mark to show he is close to voice promotion. i believe it would make it more intresting and a litte fun. and hopefully also makes user behave for the hope of being promoted.

It is not ideal to make the user have any clue that they are close to get any promotion, as this (in most cases) can potentially cause an unnatural change in behavior and honestly seems like an unpractical addition anyways. Promotions aren't meant to be "fun" it's meant to be a reward for those who have showed exemplary behavior and have done significant contributions to the room.

I don't really see a point in this. Voice is a non-staff rank given to exemplary regular users who are on the right track to being staff (driver). It comes with no special powers bar broadcasting commands to chat, and speaking in modchat +. The rank you are suggesting dose the same thing as voice, but with the same / less permissions. Sorry but I'm rejecting this suggestion.

There is already a rank below voice called “trusted.” It just excludes the symbol and the idea they will be voice soon, which is not really a good idea, as other users have said.

Technically trusted isn't a standard rank, and as a result doesn't have a position. Its automatically issued to public room staff (%,@,*,#) and global auth (+,%,@,*,&,~) and grants them immunity to locks via IP (ie: we trust they are a different user than the one the lock was issued for), allows them to use a VPN/Proxy on PS and be unlocked (again, we trust you aren't using it to evade a punishment), causes an alarm to go off if they are banned from a public room (trusted users should not be causing issues), they cannot be locked unless /forcelock is used (tab-fail safeguard), and finally if they are locked they are demoted automatically as a result of the lock (trusted users shouldnt be causing issues).

I’m aware. I’m just saying there is already a “rank” below voices that does grant some permissions regular users don’t have. This rank can also be given manually instead of automatically :P.
FWIW this is pretty much what the user was asking for without it being shown publicly and not giving the user self entitlement
