There really isn't a place dedicated to requesting formats and the like, so I'll try here.
2v2 Doubles, in general, has a decently sized forum presence (as its main gen is on main already), along with a dedicated room for its discussion, which has comprised of older generation players who've shown their interest in playing it in our room. Considering all the alternatives, (an oldgen mod, a 2v2 mod for doubles tournaments) making this specific generation challengable seems like the best option. Again, apologies if this isn't the right area to post this, but there's never really been an indication if there is one.
