*Mamoswine functions as a powerful physical wallbreaker thanks to its incredible Attack stat, as well as its unique and nearly unresisted STAB combination.
*Mamoswine is the only viable Ground-type with access to a priority move, being Ice Shard. This assists Ground teams by having the ability to revenge kill faster, weakened foes such as Mega Lopunny and Tapu Bulu.
*Because of Thick Fat, Mamoswine can offensively check foes with Ice-type coverage such as Alolan Ninetales for Ground teams.
*Mamoswine's typing is defensively terrible and leaves it susceptible to various types such as Steel and Water. Additionally, foes with type coverage such as Close Combat Mega Pinsir can OHKO Mamoswine.
*Mamoswine, while powerful, has a predictable moveset that can be played around if pressured correctly.
*Despite being a powerful wallbreaker, physically Defensive walls such as Skarmory and Mega Slowbro can tank Mamoswine's attacks and can recover their health back.

*Ice Shard is a priority move that allows Mamoswine to check setup sweepers such as Landorus-T and Mega Latias. It can also be used to revenge kill weakened foes, especially those faster than Mamoswine such as Mega Lopunny and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu.
*Superpower is a good coverage move against Normal- and Steel-types such as Porygon2 and Air Balloon Heatran.
*Knock Off helps against physically defensive walls such as Porygon2 and Slowbro by hampering their defenses and recovery respectively, as well as being coverage against Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Jellicent and Mew.

*Maximum Speed investment and a Jolly nature allows Mamoswine to outspeed some of its offensive checks, such as Breloom and Tapu Bulu without Choice Scarf.
*Thick Fat helps against Fire-types such as Heatran and Victini by halving their Fire-type STAB moves and allowing Mamoswine to revenge kill them.
*A Jolly nature can be used in order to outspeed checks such as Jolly Breloom and Timid Heatran, though it comes at the cost of extra power attained from an Adamant nature.

Usage Tips
========

*Keep Mamoswine as healthy as possible against Flying teams, as it can reliably damage Flying-types such as Celesteela and Gliscor without having to rely on Gravity Landorus or Rock Slide flinches from Excadrill. It also is crucial against Dragon teams thanks to its Ice Shard priority move being able to revenge kill faster Dragon-types such as Kommo-o and Latios, while Icicle Crash can OHKO or 2HKO all of them.
*Because Mamoswine is holding a Choice Band, it must be careful of what move it chooses to lock itself into, as it may try to predict what the foe will do. For example, an opponent with a Psychic team has a Jirachi out and my want to switch into Latios. Mamoswine might want to use Icicle Crash to KO an incoming Latios. However, if the prediction is wrong and Jirachi stays in, Mamoswine will be in a bad position as a result.
*Avoid Burns as much as possible, as it severely hinders Mamoswine's ability to break teams.
*Use Mamoswine to offensively check foes with Ice-type coverage such as Greninja and Thundurus-T, as Thick Fat helps to lessen the damage. However, be cautious of other options from these foes, as they may predict Mamoswine switching in and can deal severe damage to it.
*Knock Off can be used in the early-game to allow teammates such as Excadrill and Landorus to deal heavier damage. However, Mamoswine should avoid Knock Off from foes as well, as its offensive pressure is softened with the lack of its Choice Band.
*Mamoswine must be careful of using Superpower, as the drops in its Attack and Defense stats can make it setup bait for foes such as Volcarona and Swords Dance Mega Scizor.
*Be careful of Ice Beam from Kyurem-B, as its Teravolt negates Mamoswine's Thick Fat and can KO it after prior damage.


Team Options
========

*Landorus holds incredible wallbreaking power on Ground teams thanks to its Life Orb and Sheer Force combination. Additionally, Landorus aids Mamoswine by providing Gravity support that allows Mamoswine to spam Earthquake to take care of checks such as Celesteela and Skarmory, while also being able to use its coverage moves such as Focus Blast and Sludge Wave to threaten some of Mamoswine's checks such as Porygon2 and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu.
*Gastrodon and Seismitoad are the two viable Ground-types that compensate for Mamoswine's Water-type weakness by being an immunity, though they serve different purposes. Gastrodon's access to Recover and Toxic make it a fabulous defensive check to foes such as Greninja and Suicune. Seismitoad however, doesn't have a reliable recovery, but makes up for it by outspeeding and revenge killing Azumarill after a Belly Drum boost, which would otherwise sweep Ground teams.
*Hippowdon's solid physical bulk, Slack Off recovery, and access to Whirlwind is used to handle physical setup sweepers such as Bisharp and Mega Scizor for Mamoswine. The Sandstorm that Hippowdon provides also chips away at foes and puts them in range of being KOed by Mamoswine.
*Sand Rush Excadrill works in tandem with Hippowdon by becoming a powerful revenge killer under Sandstorm, and checks fast threats to Mamoswine such as Mega Lopunny and Zeraora as a result. It can also deal with problematic Fairy-types such as Tapu Bulu under sand, and can also clear away entry hazards with Rapid Spin.
*Dugtrio can trap, weaken, and remove foes that pose a threat to Mamoswine, such as Greninja and Excadrill.
*Garchomp's typing is useful as it provides a neutrality to Grass- and Water- types such as Mega Venusaur and Mantine for Mamoswine, and uses its solid Speed tier and Swords Dance boosts to break them down. Alternatively, Mega Garchomp becomes immensely powerful and assists Mamoswine by using its mixed coverage to break down physical walls such as Celesteela and Skarmory with Fire Blast.

However, a Life Orb has less power than a Choice Band and forces Mamoswine to take Life Orb recoil after using a move, which is especially detrimental against Flying teams where it needs to be healthy in order to break them down.

**Water-types**: Water-types such as Greninja and Suicune can threaten Mamoswine with their Water-type STAB moves or a potential Scald burn.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Buzzwole and Mega Gallade can threaten to KO Mamoswine with their Fighting-type STAB moves.

- i dont think this is true with dugtrios sucker punch, may want to take it out for clarification. you can still keep why ice shard is good and what it does though

- specify that knock off removes items. u imply this by stating that it cripples porygon2 by lowering its defenses but u dont state exactly how
- victini knocks mamoswine out with some minor chip damage, so it may not be the best example here ( from maroons check above )
- you should mention thick fat helping with ice type moves too along with fire type moves since its definitely something to note for a ground team

- id use keldeo as an example over suicune of what gastrodon can check since getting pp stalled is no fun and physdef gastrodons famous for being able to take 2 spex secret swords from keldeo too, something seismitoad cannot do
- since you mention keeping mamoswine away from burns up in usage tips, talk about how mega steelix can switch into mega sableye carrying will o wisp, absorb it, and heal itself with rest therefore acting as a status sponge for mamoswine
