[Overview]
  • Access to Tail Glow and Calm Mind
  • Needs rain to function to full potential where its Surf is Stabbed along with the benefits from Hydration
  • 100 Base Speed, this allows it to outpace all base 90s (Kyogre, groudon, Reshiram, Zekrom etc) and tie Palkia, Salamence etc.
  • Hydration (allows it to heal to Max HP in the Rain and also prevents it from being hit by any status move

Set Description:

  • Tail Glow now boosts +3 SpA
  • Hydration allows it to heal to Max HP in the Rain and also prevents it from being hit by any status move
  • Ice Beam to hit dragons who resist
  • Leftovers is the main option since your already boosting to a bolstering +3

  • Grass Knot to hit Kyogre who walls this set otherwise
  • Life Orb to Maximize Damage
Teammates & Counters:

  • Kyogre can come in and Thunder while Manaphy Can do nothing (assuming GK isnt being run)
  • Groudon adds sunlight to the field but is OHKO'd by a boosted Ice Beam
  • Birijion can come in and Leaf Blade to KO
  • Kyogre is required for this set to be efficient, the rain it provides allows Manaphy to function without worry of Status and heal
  • Wobbuffet can give a free set up opportunity while trapping Choices Mons locked into Thunder

Set Description:

  • A more defensive approach to sweeping, HP is Maximized in order to take hits as effiecient as possible while Max speed allows it to outpace Rayquaza and unscarfed base 100s
  • Bulk lets it take attacks and set up multiple CM's as you rest in the rain to recover any damage lost

  • Grass Knot for Kyogre

[Optional Changes]

  • Can Run a Toxic Stalling set. With hydration healing you, Manaphy is capable of toxic stalling. An EV spread of 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 SpA is optimal with Toxic / Surf / Rest / Ice Beam
  • Bulkier Tail Glow Spread. This can allow Manaphy to take hits easier at the cost of less damage output
[Counters]

  • Scarfed Pokemon that pack Thunder (Kyogre, Palkia)
  • Kyogre can come in and Thunder while Manaphy Can do nothing (assuming GK isnt being run).
  • Groudon adds sunlight to the field but is OHKO'd by a boosted Ice Beam
  • Birijion and Shaymin-s can come in and use their respective Grass STABs to KO
[Dream World]

  • Manaphy does not have a Dream World ability
 
Please elaborate on the descriptions here. Do not just list "Groudon" as a counter, tell the reader why Groudon is a counter. I recognize that these are bullet point analyses and meant to be short, but they are also meant to be informative. You may want to scan your other past few analyses and check that they don't fall into this trap either. Thanks.
 
My two cents:

- TG/Wacan +3 Attacks Manaphy is actually really good now, since it has the power to mow down its counters at +3. Stuff like Choice Scarf Palkia is now OHKOed by Grass Knot while Thunder does OHKO in return. Scarf Dialga takes 70-80% from +3 Surf, so it's OHKOed after some prior damage. Something like:

- Mention Boil Over (Boiling Water) on the CM set?? Getting a burn on the opponent is always cool, especially when you're building up Calm Minds
 
Zekrom OHKOes Manaphy easily so it should be mentioned as a counter. If you lack Ice Beam and use Grass Knot, Zekrom isn't OHKOed by anything. Scarf Zekrom revenge kills even the bulkiest of Manaphy with Lightning Strike.
