[SET COMMENTS]
Mandibuzz is a physically defensive pivot for Flying teams that is able to clear hazards with Defog and pick up momentum thanks to U-turn. Foul Play allows Mandibuzz to take advantage of its natural bulk and punish setup Pokemon like Cloyster and Excadrill. Roost is used to stay healthy through the match and switch into strong attacks with more ease. U-turn allows Mandibuzz to take advantage of its lower Speed to safely bring in a teammate and can be used to generate momentum against Pokemon it walls such as Excadrill. Heavy-Duty Boots makes Mandibuzz immune to Stealth Rock, allowing it to more easily use Defog and enabling it to more comfortably pivot into attacks such as Keldeo's Secret Sword. Mandibuzz's EVs and Impish nature maximize its physical bulk so it can take on attackers such as Cinderace, Virizion, and Diggersby with more ease.
All of Mandibuzz's teammates appreciate its ability to clear Stealth Rock, tank physical attacks, and pivot them in with U-turn. Mandibuzz's resistance to Ghost is useful for Flying teams, as it can check Pokemon such as Polteageist and Choice Specs Aegislash for the team. Charizard is one of the Pokemon that really appreciates Mandibuzz's ability to remove Stealth Rock and can power through Ice-types such as Alolan Ninetales and Galarian Darmanitan in return. Corviknight forms a potent defensive core with Mandibuzz, being the main special wall on Flying teams as well as being able to switch into Fairy-type Pokemon. Bulk Up Corviknight also alleviates pressure off Mandibuzz from being the sole physical wall on the team. Additionally, Corviknight can absorb Toxic for Mandibuzz and prevent Stealth Rock from being set up by using Taunt against slower setters such as Hippowdon. Hawlucha appreciates Mandibuzz's ability to take Psychic-type attacks for it and in return can get rid of Rock- and Steel-type Pokemon such as Terrakion, Tyranitar, and Duraludon. Togekiss can handle lots of Mandibuzz's checks such as Hydreigon and can break down faster Pokemon such as Charizard with a combination of Thunder Wave + Air Slash or more bulky Pokemon such as Galarian Corsola with Nasty Plot + Air Slash. Gyarados can take on problematic Fire- and Water-type Pokemon such as Cinderace, Rotom-H, Rotom-W, and Keldeo for Mandibuzz after a Dragon Dance boost with Waterfall, Earthquake, and Power Whip.
