[OVERVIEW]

Because of its good offensive typing, high Special Attack, and strong STAB options, Magneton can serve as a threatening wallbreaker that pressures defensive staples like Aromatisse and Gigalith. Analytic compensates for Magneton's middling Speed tier while also making it more difficult to switch into. Magneton can effectively take advantage of this thanks to its access to Volt Switch, putting opponents on the back foot while also generating momentum for its teammates. With the combination of Sturdy and Heavy-Duty Boots, Magneton can also act as a decent revenge killer, taking pressure off of its team against threats like Charizard and Lycanroc. However, the prevalence of Pokemon such as Lanturn, Lightning Rod Togedemaru, and Galarian Stunfisk makes walling Magneton easier for a lot of teams. Magneton's average Speed also leaves it outsped by common offensive threats like Toxicroak and Magmortar. Finally, due to its poor bulk, Magneton often struggles to safely switch in even on resisted hits and can't make full use of the defensive benefits that come with its Steel typing.

[SET COMMENTS]

Tri Attack provides Magneton with neutral coverage for Lanturn and Vikavolt while still hitting Ground-types like Claydol. Teleport is another option that lets Magneton pivot out against Electric-immune Pokemon like Lightning Rod Togedemaru. Alternatively, Steel Beam manages to 2HKO even Assault Vest Guzzlord on the switch if Stealth Rock is up, which Flash Cannon cannot achieve. Other pivots such as Passimian and Tsareena pair well with Magneton, since they create a momentum core and help to exert increased pressure on opposing teams. These examples also threaten nuisances like Galarian Stunfisk and offer Knock Off support, while Magneton threatens physically bulky Pokemon like Weezing. Walls like Aromatisse, Garbodor, and Gigalith serve as a safety net against faster Fighting- and Fire-types like Passimian and Magmortar that force Magneton out. The former also offers Magneton vital Wish support, while the latter two can wear its switch-ins down with entry hazards, status, and, in Gigalith's case, sand. Pokemon like Sandaconda and Ribombee provide Magneton with speed control in Glare and Stun Spore, respectively, which gives it more opportunities to wallbreak by making it harder to immediately threaten out. These examples falter against Pokemon such as Piloswine, Whimsicott, and Silvally-Steel, all of which Magneton can potentially exploit.

[SET COMMENTS]

Thunder Wave lets Magneton debilitate setup sweepers and wallbreakers that it can't immediately OHKO, such as Silvally-Ghost and Magmortar. Toxic can be used to gradually down wear switch-ins like Guzzlord, Claydol, and Palossand. Steel Beam is another option that always OHKOes Silvally-Fairy and +1 Ribombee. Preserving Sturdy is often easy thanks to Heavy-Duty Boots and Magneton's natural immunity to residual damage from sand, even if it needs to come in and use Volt Switch or threaten a wall like Golbat after a teammate pivots out or faints. This set fits best on offensive teams in need of both a revenge killer and a pivot. Bear in mind that Magneton doesn't need much support to function, meaning you should add it to teams that benefit from its talents rather than build around it. Magneton struggles with bulky Electric-immune Pokemon such as Lanturn, which is especially problematic given that many of its targets can easily fall back on them. As such, it appreciates having teammates like Toxicroak and Whimsicott. Spikes support from Pokemon like Froslass and Garbodor can give Magneton an easier time revenge killing Dragon Dance Scrafty and other foes it otherwise falls short of KOing.

Teleport lets Magneton pivot out against Electric-immune Pokemon like Lightning Rod Togedemaru. Alternatively, Steel Beam is Magneton's strongest attack and notably 2HKOes even Assault Vest Guzzlord on the switch if Stealth Rock is up, which Flash Cannon cannot achieve. Tri Attack is another option that provides Magneton with neutral coverage for Lanturn and Vikavolt while still hitting Ground-types like Claydol. Nice job, extremely well written. Most of my changes are pretty subjective.
