nature: Calm
evs: 252 HP / 160 SpD / 96 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
The role that Mantine plays on a Water team is that of a supporter. Defog allows Mantine to fulfill its job as a hazard remover, allowing its teammates to switch in and out of play without having to worry about chip damage. Haze allows Mantine to reset the stat boosts of special set-up sweepers such as Volcarona and Hatterene, preventing them from sweeping. Scald can threaten incoming Physical attackers with a burn. This is especially useful against utility pokemon such as Toxapex and Ferrothorn, as it will prevent passive recovery from Black Sludge or Leftovers. Roost should used whenever possible, allowing Mantine to stay in longer and wall special attackers such as Volcarona and Hatterene. With 96 speed EVs, Mantine is able to switch in and haze Azumarill's Belly Drum. The rest of the EVs are placed in Special Bulk, in order to make it as bulky as possible. Heavy-Duty Boots are a good item for Mantine to have because it allows it to freely switch in on Hazards that would otherwise harm it such as Stealth Rock.

Pokemon like Quagsire appreciate having a Grass neutrality on the team to cover for its 4x weakness to the type. In return, Quagsire's electric immunity allows it to take on attacks that would otherwise do 4x damage to Mantine.
Having Toxapex on the team also benefits Mantine, as a defensive wall helps counter one of Mantine’s main checks - Physical wall breakers such as Urshifu (Single Strike) and Terrakion. In addition, its Poison typing allows it to act as another neutrality to Grass. Mantine can also act as a check to Toxapex's Ground weakness, and running Haze on Mantine allows Toxapex to free a moveslot. In addition to providing a much appreciated immunity to Electric, Lanturn can also use Heal Bell to cure any of Mantine’s status conditions that may otherwise hinder its performance as a wall. Sap Sipper Azumarill can also be a useful teammate, taking pressure off of Mantine as a grass neutrality. It can also trap things such as Ferrothorn and Hatterene for the team, taking out two pokemon that Mantine would otherwise have to wall.
Offensive teammates such as CM Primarina, CM Keldeo, and BD Azumarill can appreciate Mantine's ability to remove hazards such as Toxic Spikes, which will hinder their ability to set up as they will lose HP every turn.

Hey, unfortunately we're not moving onto full analyses yet due to the state of SS and the number of DLCs that will continue to shift the metagame. Instead, we're using the template here for preview analyses. Please use that to write this analysis.

Paragraph 1:

The role that Mantine plays on a Water team is that of a supporter. Defog allows Mantine to fulfill its job as a hazard remover, allowing its teammates the Player to switch their pokemon in and out of play without having to worry about chip damage. Haze allows Mantine to reset the stat boosts of special set-up sweepers such as Volcarona and Hatterene, preventing then them from sweeping the entire team. Scald can be used as an offensive move that can also threaten incoming Physical attackers with a burn, halving their attack stat. (Removed the fluff, Scald is mainly used to spread burn, you can also mention that the burn on utility Pokemon such as Toxapex and Ferrothorn prevents their passive recovery from Leftovers.) The last move that Mantine has is Roost. It should be used whenever possible, allowing Mantine to stay in longer and Wall special attackers. (Mix the two sentences together, and give examples to which special attackers Mantine is walling.) The EV spread gives Mantine the maximum amount of bulk possible while still being able to out-speed Belly Drum users like Azumarill, which can otherwise decimate Water teams. (Specify here that you use 96 Speed EVs to outspeed Azumarill specifically, and I removed the fluff. Then talk about the remaining EVs. The starting point of your EV spread is Speed which should be mentioned first. So it should be like this: "96 speed is used to haze Azumarill's belly drum. The remaining EVs are placed in special bulk to make it as bulky as possible")
* Add a line here what Heavy-Duty Boots accomplish for Mantine.

Paragraph 2:
An example of a teammate that can benefit from Mantine's presence on a team is Vaporeon. It can benefit from Mantine on the team because it takes pressure off of it to be the only SpD wall.
(Vaporeon isn't a good teammate for Mantine). Pokemon like Quagsire also appreciate having Grass neutrality on the team to cover for its 4x weakness to the type. (Mention Quagsire takes on Electric attacks for Mantine) Toxapex can also appreciate Mantine’s role as a special wall, allowing it to focus solely on walling pysical attackers. (You said the exact thing below with proper examples, so this line is unnecessary.)
Having Toxapex on the team also benefits Mantine, as a defensively defensive wall helps counter one of Mantine’s main checks - Pysical Physical wall breakers such as Urshifu (Single Strike) and Terrakion. (There is too much stuff that needs to be mentioned about Pex; you should mention how its Poison typing also lets it act as grass neutrality along with Mantine, how Mantine checks Ground-types that target Pex, and how running Haze on Mantine frees Toxapex from running it. ) In addition to providing a much-appreciated(Add hyphen) immunity to Electric, Lanturn can also use Heal Bell to cure any of Mantine’s status conditions that may otherwise hinder its performance as a wall. Sap Sipper Azumarill can also be a useful teammate, taking pressure off of Mantine as a grass neutrality. (Name a few examples on what it traps for Mantine)
* Add Seismitoad to teammates as it provides Stealth Rock for the team, provides much needed electric immunity, and appreciates the grass neutrality.
* Talk about Offensive teammates such as Primarina, Azumarill and Keldeo who greatly appreciate the Defog support from Mantine, as they re very vulnerable to entry hazards. Emphasize how they cant effectively set up if they are affected by Toxic Spikes.
