[SET COMMENTS]
Alolan Marowak is a powerful offensive stealth rocker for Ghost teams that can set up Stealth Rock as well use its offensive tools to help punch holes in the opponents team. Stealth Rock has become a staple on almost any competitive team and does a great job at slowly wearing down opponents and punishing switches made by opposing teams. Poltergeist is a an extremely strong STAB Ghost attack that can do huge damage to anything that isn't Normal or Dark type. Fire Punch is your fire STAB allowing you hit Normal types that are immune to your Ghost moves and also hitting Dark types such as Mandibuzz or Grimmsnarl for decent damage. Earthquake works well in conjunction with Alolan Marowak's ability Lightning Rod which makes makes you immune to Electric type attacks. Earthquake can then hit these Electric types for super effective damage and also has the benefit of hitting Pokemon like Tyranitar that resist both of Alolan Marowak's STAB attacks. Swords Dance is a good option if your team needs a way to get past bulky Pokemon on opposing teams like Torkoal or Porygon2. Thick Club is the only item for Alolan Marowak because holding this item give you double the attack which is a massive boost in power. An EV spread of Max Attack and Max Speed is used to allow Alolan Marowak to do the most damage possible while also at least speed tying with other Alolan Marowaks and outspeeding some relevant defoggers such as Mantine.

Being an offensive Stealth Rock user, Alolan Marowak normally pairs well with any offensive Ghost type who appreciate opposing teams taking chip damage. Mimikyu is a great partner who is able to set up with Swords Dance and pick off foes with priority Shadow Sneak who are weakened by Stealth Rock. On top of that, Mimikyu is also a fairy type which allows it to hit Dark types, who threaten Alolan Marowak , for super-effective damage. Dragapult with either a Dragon Dance or Choice Scarf set can also be another good partner. Dragon Dance Dragapult benefits from Alolan Marowak being able to threaten Steel types that resist Dragon Darts like Ferrothorn or Corviknight. Choice Scarf also has the option to U-turn on Pokemon like Tyranitar which will allow you to bring in Alolan Marowak to click Earthquake. Being a Fire type Alolan Marowak is weak to any Pokemon with Water type attacks such as Kingdra or Pelipper. Jellicent can be a good partner to cover that weakness and also benefits from Alolan Marowak being immune to the Electric Type attacks that threaten it. Alolan Marowak is also very weak to Knock Off and really depends on having it's Thick Club to be effective so having a teammate with a Colbur Berry to take Knock Off hits can also be a good option.

Code:
Marowak-Alola @ Thick Club
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Poltergeist
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake / Swords Dance
that set was for last generation and creeping mega venu/mantine. i think being max speed is probably most appropriate this gen, so you can at least be as fast as other marowaks

Alolan Marowak is a powerful offensive stealth rocker for Ghost teams that can set up Stealth Rock as well use its offensive tools to help punch holes in the opponents team. Stealth Rock has become a staple on almost any competitive team and This is fluff does a great job at slowly wearing down opponents and punishing switches made by opposing teams. Poltergeist is a an extremely strong STAB Ghost attack that can do huge damage to anything that isn't Normal or Dark type I would add some examples here of what it can hit . Fire Punch is your fire STAB allowing you hit Normal types that are immune to your Ghost moves such as Chansey and Snorlax and also hitting Dark types such as Mandibuzz or Grimmsnarl for decent damage. I would also add some Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Ice-types like Alolan Ninetales as examples of what Fire Punch could hit. Earthquake works well in conjunction with Alolan Marowak's ability Lightning Rod which makes makes you immune to Electric type attacks.allowing it to be an Electric immunity then use Earthquake to take care of Electric-types such as Pincuchin and Heliolisk. Earthquake care also be used to take care of can then hit these Electric types for super effective damage and also has the benefit of hitting Pokemon like Tyranitar that resist both of Alolan Marowak's STAB attacks. Had to reword a bit, but this explains it better and makes it more to the point. Swords Dance is a good option if your team needs a way to get past bulky Pokemon on opposing teams like Torkoal or Porygon2. Thick Club is the only item for Alolan Marowak because holding this item give you double the attack which is a massive boost in power. An EV spread of Max Attack and Max Speed with a Jolly nature is used to allow Alolan Marowak to do the most damage possible while also at least speed tying with other Alolan Marowaks and outspeeding some relevant defoggers such as Mantine Mention Mandibuzz.

Mimikyu is a great partner who is able to set up with Swords Dance and pick off foes with priority Shadow Sneak who are weakened by Stealth Rock. On top of that, Mimikyu is also a fairy type which allows it to hit Dark types Add some examples of Dark-types that Mimikyu can take care of like Hydreigon, who threaten Alolan Marowak , for super-effective damage. Dragapult with either a Dragon Dance or Choice Scarf set can also be another good partner. Dragon Dance Dragapult benefits from Alolan Marowak being able to threaten Steel types that resist Dragon Darts like Ferrothorn or Corviknight. I would also add here how after one Dragon Dance it can sweep the Dragon-type matchup most of the time. Choice Scarf also has the option to U-turn on Pokemon like Tyranitar which will allow you to bring in Alolan Marowak safely to click Earthquake. Being a Fire type Alolan Marowak is weak to any Pokemon with Water type attacks such as Kingdra or Pelipper. Jellicent can be a good partner to cover that weakness thanks to Water Absorb and also benefits from Alolan Marowak being immune to the Electric Type attacks that threaten it. Alolan Marowak is also very weak to Knock Off and really depends on having it's Thick Club to be effective so having a teammate with a Colbur Berry to take Knock Off hits can also be a good option. Colbur Berry is really niche and I dont think needs a mention, instead mention how Choice Scarf Gengar can help in the Dark and Fairy matchup with using Focus Blast on Bisharp and Dazzling Gleam on Hydreigon while on Fairy it can use sludge Wave on Primarina and Togekiss that can threat Alolan Marowak.
