[OVERVIEW]

Mawile stands out in the ZU tier as one of the few Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon available. Mawile is also a premier Stealth Rock setter due to its ability to set up entry hazards on common Pokemon such as Komala, Kecleon, or Silvally-Fighting, and its unique typing allows it to check several prominent threats such as Shiftry, Toucannon, and Muk. Its support movepool is additionally well provided with moves such as Knock Off, Super Fang, Taunt, and Pain Split, which sets it apart from other Stealth Rock setters. Moreover, Mawile has access to two useful abilities in Intimidate and Sheer Force, which allows it to be played either as a wall or as a wallbreaker. However, offensive Mawile is very frail due to its lack of investment in bulk. Therefore, it is unable to take strong hits, even resisted ones, such as Psychic from Beheeyem and Multi-Attack from Silvally-Fighting. Furthermore, Mawile's offensive stats aren't much better, and it is walled by physical walls such as Pyukumuku and Gourgeist-XL. Its low Speed also makes it easily revenge killed by most offensive Pokemon such as Combusken and Swanna and even by defensive Pokemon like Altaria. Moreover, Mawile is weak to two very common offensive types in Ground and Fire, which causes it to be forced out by common Pokemon such as Golem, Torterra, Rapidash, and Combusken. A lot of hazard removers such as Swanna, Silvally-Water, and Rotom-F force Mawile out, which makes its role as an entry hazard setter troublesome.

Moves
========

Play Rough is Mawile's strongest move, which allows it to OHKO Hakamo-o after chip damage. It also deals significant damage to defensive Pokemon that are weak to it such as Machoke, Silvally-Dark, and Altaria and to frail Pokemon such as Kadabra and Chatot. However, Seismic Toss can be used for consistent damage, which lets Mawile hit Pokemon such as Curse + RestTalk Muk and Bronzor, but this leaves it helpless against Ghost-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Misdreavus. Thanks to this move, Mawile can break Vigoroth's Substitute, therefore making it a good check to it. Pain Split is Mawile's best recovery move, and it pairs well with Mawile's low base HP stat. It lets Mawile better weaken defensive Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Gourgeist-XL than its other offensive moves. Toxic is Mawile's best way to weaken opposing walls and punish threats to it such as Combusken, Golem, and Gourgeist-XL. Taunt improves Mawile's matchup against bulkier Pokemon such as Bronzor, Pyukumuku and Shiinotic, preventing them from recovering the lost damage and shutting them down. Knock Off is an option that lets Mawile remove items from Pokemon that switch into it such as Bronzor's or Mareanie's Eviolite and Lickilicky's Leftovers. Super Fang is another option that lets Mawile better beat defensive Pokemon, but it prevents it from hitting Ghost-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Dusclops. Running this move over another offensive one also means that Mawile will rely on Toxic to knock opposing Pokemon out. Super Fang paired with Taunt can turn Mawile into a great stallbreaker, halving opposing Pokemon's health while preventing them from healing.

Set Details
========

Intimidate allows Mawile to better check physical attacker such as Silvally-Fighting, and Toucannon. Mawile appreciates Leftovers due to its lack of a reliable recovery move. If Mawile runs Pain Split, it can afford to hold Rocky Helmet in order to deal chip damage to physical attackers such as Sawsbuck and Leafeon and punish Pokemon such as Silvally-Fighting and Komala that use U-turn.

Usage Tips
========

Mawile should absolutely avoid any special move because they do a lot of damage to it. This also includes special moves from mixed attackers. Mawile can check some Pokemon only if their Attack has been lowered; therefore, if Mawile is already on the field, it may be unable to deal with Pokemon it's supposed to check such as Pinsir and Bouffalant. However, it should be sent out against the physical attackers it beats such as Shiftry, Toucannon, Leafeon, and Raticate and use them as an opportunity to set Stealth Rock. Mawile can also be sent out against an anticipated Toxic from Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Silvally-Fighting. This allows Mawile to set Stealth Rock, threaten them with Seismic Toss, Super Fang, or Toxic, or use them to get health back through Pain Split. It shouldn't be sent out on Pokemon with Defiant such as Pawniard, which gets a boost in Attack and can beat Mawile. It should also avoid setting up Stealth Rock if the opponent has an entry hazard remover that can easily come into Mawile such as Swanna, Sandslash, and Silvally-Ground. Instead, Mawile should punish these entry hazard removers with Toxic, Seismic Toss, or Super Fang.

Team Options
========

Since Mawile is quite vulnerable to special attacks, it appreciates being paired with a specially defensive Pokemon such as Komala, Kecleon, or Lickilicky. Lickilicky and Komala are especially potent partners, since they can support Mawile with their Wish and appreciates Mawile's ability to take on physical attackers. A check to Fire-types such as Altaria, Mareanie, or Hakamo-o is mandatory, since they can use Mawile as setup fodder and threaten it with their super effective STAB moves. For the same reason, checks to Ground-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Bronzor are appreciated. VoltTurn users such as different Silvally formes, Electivire, and Komala and strong wallbreakers or sweepers such as Combusken, Bibarel, and Fraxure appreciate Mawile's entry hazard support. Specially offensive Water-types such as Floatzel, Swanna, and Simipour can take on Ground- and Fire-types that threaten Mawile, while Mawile can take on specially defensive Pokemon such as Kecleon and Komala and Grass-types such as Shiinotic and Jumpluff for them.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Play Rough and Iron Head are Mawile's best STAB moves. The former allows it to hit Fighting- and Dark-types such as Poliwrath, Hakamo-o, and Shiftry for super effective damage and is also Mawile's most powerful move, dealing strong damage even to neutral foes such as Beheeyem and Komala. The latter is a bit less strong but not less useful, hitting Rock- and Fairy-types such as Golem, Crustle, Shiinotic, and Granbull for super effective damage while also dealing better damage to Poison-types that resist Play Rough such as Muk and Silvally-Poison. Knock Off is a strong move that allows Mawile to break through Bronzor as well as remove items from Mawile's checks such as Mareanie and Sandslash. Sucker Punch is Mawile's best priority move and should only be used if it is carrying Swords Dance, as the Attack boost is required to remove most Pokemon faster than Mawile such as Electivire and Swanna. It also allows Mawile to have a better time cleaning offensive teams. Thunder Punch allows Mawile to deal super effective damage to Mareanie, which resists both its STAB moves and is able to wall Mawile,as well as always 2HKO Pyukumuku after Stealth Rock. Fire Blast lets Mawile deal with Grass- and Steel-types such as Gourgeist-XL and opposing Mawile, as well as OHKOing Avalugg after Stealth Rock. However, Mawile's low Special Attack makes it a subpar coverage option otherwise.

Set Details
========

Life Orb coupled with Sheer Force and an Adamant nature increases Mawile's wallbreaking capacities, which allows it to OHKO foes like Rotom-F after Stealth Rock with Play Rough. A Jolly nature can be used to enable Mawile to outspeed Pokemon that would otherwise force it out such as Marowak, Komala, and Bouffalant.

Usage Tips
========

Mawile is very frail without investment in bulk and Intimidate, so it should absolutely avoid taking any unresisted hit or special move. Instead, Mawile should be brought in via VoltTurn support from Pokemon such as Silvally and Electivire, on a hit that it is immune to such as Hakamo-o's Dragon Tail or Muk's Poison Jab, it can also come onto the field through aggressive double switches, predicting a Pokemon that can't deal with Mawile such as Zweilous. Since Mawile can't afford to take hits, it should use Swords Dance either on opposing Pokemon that can't deal significant damage to it, such as Muk, or it threatens out, such as Vullaby and Machoke. Don't try to wallbreak with Mawile if its checks such as Torterra, Sandslash, and Rapidash haven't been significantly weakened. Mawile should be switched out if it's facing a faster Pokemon that hits hard such as Swanna, Rapidash, or Silvally-Ground, unless they have been weakened enough to be finished off by Sucker Punch.

Team Options
========

Because of its inability to come in on most hits, Pokemon that run U-turn or Volt Switch such as different Sivally formes, Electivire, and Jumpluff are great partners for Mawile. Offensive Mawile best fits on most offensive builds, so other attackers such as offensive Stealth Rock Golem, Raichu, and Pawniard that can weaken Mawile's checks and counters such as Rapidash, Mareanie, and Sandslash are appreciated. Since Mawile is slow as a wallbreaker, it appreciates being played on offensive Sticky Web teams, so a Sticky Web setter such as Masquerain, Smeargle, or Shuckle makes a good partner for Mawile. Likewise, fast attackers such as Floatzel, Purugly, and Zebstrika as well as Choice Scarf users such as Electivire, Rapidash, and Silvally are potent partners, since they improve the matchup against most offensive teams. These Pokemon also appreciate Mawile's ability to weaken opposing walls, which lets them have a better time cleaning the opposing team. Stealth Rock and Spikes support is appreciated by Mawile, since it chips away its checks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

If Mawile is running Taunt, defensive sets can run 36 EVs in Speed in order to outspeed Gourgeist-XL and therefore wall it, whereas offensive sets can run Ice Punch to target Torterra and other Ground-types. However, outside of these specific matchups, Mawile would prefer to run other coverage moves.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-type Pokemon such as Combusken, Rapidash, and Simisear threaten to OHKO Mawile with their super effective STAB moves. This let them use Mawile as setup fodder. However, they don't want to come in against an incoming Toxic or Super Fang, since it significantly hurts their longevity.

**Ground-types**: Mawile is weak to Ground-type moves, which makes it easily revenge killed by Pokemon such as Golem, Torterra and Sandslash. This also means that Pokemon that Mawile is supposed to check such as Bouffalant and Komala can bypass it with Earthquake.

**Special Attackers**: Mawile is extremely susceptible to special moves, even resisted ones such as Chatot's Boomburst, Shiftry's Leaf Storm, and Kadabra's Psychic and weak ones like Electivire's Volt Switch.

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon such as Bronzor and Probopass take very little damage from Play Rough and are immune to Toxic. However, Bronzor doesn't appreciates getting hit by Knock Off or Swords Dance-boosted Sucker Punch.

**Magnet Pull**: Mawile is susceptible to being trapped and OHKOed by Magnet Pull users in Probopass and Alolan Golem. Mawile can't deal significant damage to them and should be played carefully if facing any of these Pokemon.

**Setup Sweepers**: Because of its low bulk and reliance on Intimidate to wall physical attackers, Mawile struggles to beat setup sweepers such as Bulk Up Vigoroth, Coil Arbok, and Swords Dance Bouffalant.

[OVERVIEW]

-Mawile stand out in the ZU tier by being of the few Fairy and Steel-type available in the tier. Need an SR mention here.
-Mawile also has access to two useful abities in Intimidate and Sheer Force which allows it to be played either as a wall or as a wallbreaker.
-Mawile's unique typing allows it to wall several prominent threats such as Shiftry, Toucannon and Muk.
-However Mawile suffers from its low stats which leaves it very frail without defensive investment and weak without offensive one. This comes off as fluff. Be more detailed here and separate this into two bullets with one for its defensive downsides and one for the offensive downsides.
-Moreover Mawile is weak to two very common offensive types in Ground and Fire which makes it forced out by common Pokemon such as Golem, Sandslash, Rapidash and Combusken.

Mention Stealth Rock as well as a good support move pool which further separates it from other rockers/physical walls. Give some more detail on why the offensive set is worthwhile.

Protect is not really worthwhile and offers much less utility compared to Knock Off and Super Fang. Knock Off is fantastic on Mawile as Pokemon like Mareanie, Bronzor, Lickilicky, etc stay in on it or come in freely otherwise. Super Fang makes up for Mawile's passiveness and with Toxic it gives Mawile a chance at wearing down/beating fatter stuff.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

-Play Rough is Mawile's strongest move which allows it to OHKO Shiftry and Hakamo-o and do significant damages to defensive Pokemon that are weak to such as Machoke, Gabite and Altaria. Play Rough is not a guaranteed OHKO on Shiftry w/o rocks so specify that. Standard, HP invested Hakamo-o also avoids an OHKO altogether. Play Rough is also better against more frail Pokemon such as Kadabra.
-However Seismic can be used for consistent damages which lets Mawile hit Pokemon such as CroMuk and Bronzor but leaves it helpless against Ghost-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Misdreavus. Mention Vigoroth as an example, b/c Seismic Toss is what makes Mawile a good check to it.
-Pain Split is Mawile's best recovery move and it pairs well with Mawile's low base HP stats. It lets better Mawile weaken defensive Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Gourgeist-XL than with its other offensive moves.
-Protect can be used to get extra Leftovers recovery and also to scout for locked attackers such as Komala and Electivire.
-Toxic is Mawile's best way to weaken opposing walls as well as being able to punish switch-in to threats to Mawile. Give examples
-Taunt improves Mawile's matchup against bulkier build preventing them to recover the lost damages. Give examples
-Knock is an option which lets Mawile remove item from Pokemon that would switch into it such as Bronzor and Mareanie. As well as Lefties from Lickilicky.
-Super Fang is another option which lets Mawile better beat defensive Pokemon but prevents it from hitting Ghost-type such as Gourgeist-XL and Dusclops. Running this move over another offensive one also means that Mawile will rely on Toxic to knock opposing Pokemon out.

-Intimidate allows Mawile to better check physical attacker such as Shiftry, Silvally-Fighting and Toucannon.
-Mawile appreciates to hold Leftovers due to its lack of relible recovery move.
-If Mawile runs Pain Split, it can afford to hold Rocky Helmet in order to deal chip damages to physical attackers such as Sawsbuck and Leafeon, as well as to punish U-turn from Pokemon such as Silvally-Fighting and Komala.

Usage Tips
========

-Mawile should absolutely avoid any special move because they do a lot of damages. Specifically mention Shiftry's LO Leaf Storm
-However it should be send against the physical attackers it beats such as Shiftry, Toucannon, Leafeon and Raticate. Mention that Mawile can use them as an opportunity to set Stealth Rock
-Mawile can also be send against anticipitated against Toxic from Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Silvally-Fighting. Explain what it can do upon switching in, because this statement feels incomplete otherwise.
-Mawile shouldn't be send on Pokemon with Defiant such as Pawniard and Stomping Tantrum since they get a boost in Attack and can bet Mawile. Same goes for Fire and Ground physical attackers which can easily break through Mawile with their super effective STAB moves. You mean Stomping Tantrum Purugly? Personally would remove that considering it's never used.
-Mawile should avoid to set up Stealth Rock if the opponent has a hazard remover that can easily come into Mawile such as Swanna or Silvally-Ground. Mention that Mawile can predict them and use Toxic instead.

Mention how Intimidate comes into play when checking certain Pokemon (i.e second point).

Team Options
========

-Since Mawile is particulary frail on the special side it appreciates to be paired with a specially defensive Pokemon such as Komala, Kecleon or Lickilicky. Lickilicky and Komala are especially very potent partner since they can support Mawile with their Wish and appreciates Mawile's ability to take on physical attacker.
-A Fire-types check such as Altaria, Mareanie or Hakamo-o are mandatory since they can use Mawile as a setup fodder and threaten it with their super effective STAB moves.
-For the same reason Ground-type check such as Gourgeist-XL and Bronzor are appreciated.

Mention offensive Pokemon that appreciate Mawile's SR support. Mention Pokemon that appreciate Mawile's ability to check Shiftry and other physical attackers. Mention Water-types specifically (Floatzel, Swanna, Silvally-Water) because of their ability to check Ground- and Fire-types and they also appreciate Mawile checking Grasses/Komala/Kecleon.

Iron Head is mandatory because it hits defensive Golem, Crustle, and Muk hard. Knock Off>SD or SR because it makes Mawile significantly more threatening as opposed to having little set up opportunities with SD and SR being very slow and frail. Fire Blast is for Gourg-XL and opposing Mawile and Sucker Punch should be only used if SD is used.

Moves
========

-Sucker Punch is a powerful priority move that enable Mawile to deal with faster frailer foes such as Kadabra and Chatot.
-Thunder Punch is Mawile's best coverage move due to it dealing with Mareanie and hitting Steel-types for at least neutral damages as well as being boosted by Sheer Force.
- Iron Head is Mawile best Steel-type STAB move and deals with Rock- and Fairy types Pokemon such as Golem and Granbull but leaves Mawile unable to break through Bronzor and Mareanie.

Adjust this section to the new set

Set Details
========

-A Life Orb coupled with Sheer Force and an Adamant Nature increases Mawile wallbreaking capacities. Can put a notable calc here, something Mawile OHKOes

Usage Tips
========

-Mawile is very frail without investment in bulk, that's why it should absolutely avoid to take any unresisted hit or special move.
-Instead Mawile should be brought with VoltTurn from Pokemon such as Silvally, or Electivire, or on hit Mawile is immune to such as Hakamo-o's Dragon Tail or Muk's Poison Jab. As well as aggressive double switches
-Mawile should use Swords Dance or Stealth Rock only on predicted switch since Mawile can't afford to take hits. Give examples of how it can set up (against which Pokemon and the things it threatens out)
-Don't try to break with Mawile if its checks such as Mareanie or Golem haven't been significantly weakened. Adjust to the set changes.

This section should be beefed up. You do a good job of explaining how Mawile should be brought and have a good start on what it should or shouldn't do. In addition, you should mention the things Mawile threatens, how prediction is a big factor of using Mawile effectively, and what forces out Mawile.

Team Options
========

-Because of its unability to come on most hits, Pokemon that run U-turn or Volt-Switch such as different Sivally forms, Electivire and Jumpluff are great partner for Mawile.
-Offensive Mawile fit at best on most offensive build so other attackers that can weaken Mawile's checks and counters such as Choice Band Golem, Raichu and Pawniard are appreciated. Give examples of those Pokemon
-Since Mawile is slow as a wallbreaker it appreciates to be played on Sticky Web offense so a Sticky Web setter such as Masquerain, Smeargle or Shuckle makes a good partner for Mawile.
-Likewise fast attackers are potent partners since the improve the matchup against most offensive teams. Give examples. Also be sure to mention that they can take advantage of Mawile breaking and clean late-game.

Should also mention entry hazard setters that help Mawile break. Mention some Fire-type checks that help support Mawile.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

-If running Taunt defensive sets can run 36 EVs in speed in order to outspeed Gourgeist-XL and therefore wall it.
-Fire Blast and Fire Fang are an option over Stealth Rock or Swords Dance to better deal with Grass-type and Steel-types such as Gourgeist-XL and opposing Mawile. With Fire Blast slashed on the offensive set there's so need to have this here anymore.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-type**: Fire-type Pokemon such as Combusken and Simisear threaten Mawile with their super effective STAB move which can OHKO Mawile. This let them use Mawile as set up sweeper respectively for Swords Dance and Nasty Plot. Mention Rapidash here, it's a big one.

**Ground-type**: Mawile is weak to ground-type moves which lets it easily revenge killed by Pokemon of this type such as Golem and Sandslash. That also means that Pokemon, that Mawile should be supposed to check such as Bouffalant and Komala, can bypass it with Earthquake.

**Special Attackers**: Mawile is extremely susceptible to special moves, even resisted one such as Chatot's Boomburst, Shiftry's Leaf Storm, Abomasnow's Blizzard and Kadabra's Psychic, or weak like Electivire's Volt Switch.

**Steel types**: Steel types Pokemon such as Bronzor and Probopass takes very little damages from Play Rough and are immune to Toxic. However Bronzor doesn't appreciates to get hit by Knock Off nor to get hit by a Sucker Punch boosted by Swords Dance.

**Mareanie** Mareanie can wall any non Thunder Punch Mawile and use it to set up Toxic Spikes or weaken Mawile with Scald. However Taunt Mawile walls any Sludge Bomb Mareanie and Mareanie doesn't appreciate to get its Eviolite removed by Knock Off. Would remove this entirely because it's not necessarily a counter.

**Magnet Pull**: Mawile is susceptible to get trapped and OHKOed by Magnet Pull users in Probopass and Golem Alola. Mawile can't deal significant damages to them and should be played carefully if facing any of these Pokemon.

**Setup Sweepers**: Because of its low bulk and reliance on Intimidate to wall physical Attackers, Mawile struggles to beat setup sweepers such as Bulk Up Vigoroth, Coil Arbok and Swords Dance Bouffalant.

It can also come in the field through agressive double switches predicting a Pokemon that can't deal with Mawile such as Shiftry or Zweilous.
-Mawile can't afford to take hits, that's why it should use Swords Dance either if the opposing Pokemon can't deal significant damages to Mawile, for example Muk, or if the opposing Pokemon is threaten out by Mawile such as defensive Golem or Machoke.
-Don't try to break with Mawile if its checks such as Sandslash or Rapidash haven't been significantly weakened.
-Mawile should be switched out if it's facing a faster Pokemon that hit hard such as Swanna, Rapidash or Silvally-Ground, unless they have been weakened in the range of Sucker Punch.

Team Options
========

-Because of its unability to come on most hits, Pokemon that run U-turn or Volt-Switch such as different Sivally forms, Electivire and Jumpluff are great partner for Mawile.
-Offensive Mawile fit at best on most offensive build so other attackers such as Choice Band Golem, Raichu and Pawniard that can weaken Mawile's checks and counters such as Rapidash, Mareanie and Sandslash are appreciated.
-Since Mawile is slow as a wallbreaker it appreciates to be played on Sticky Web offense so a Sticky Web setter such as Masquerain, Smeargle or Shuckle makes a good partner for Mawile.
-Likewise fast attackers such as Floatzel, Purugly and Zebstrika are potent partners since the improve the matchup against most offensive teams. These Pokemon also appreciates Mawile's ability to weaken opposing walls and lets them have a better time cleaning the opposing team. Could also mention scarfers

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

-If running Taunt defensive sets can run 36 EVs in speed in order to outspeed Gourgeist-XL and therefore wall it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-type**: Fire-type Pokemon such as Combusken, Rapidash and Simisear threaten Mawile with their super effective STAB move which can OHKO Mawile. This let them use Mawile as set up sweeper respectively for Swords Dance and Nasty Plot.

**Special Attackers**: Mawile is extremely susceptible to special moves, even resisted one such as Chatot's Boomburst, Shiftry's Leaf Storm, and Kadabra's Psychic, or weak like Electivire's Volt Switch.

[OVERVIEW]

-Mawile stand out in the ZU tier by being of the few Fairy and Steel-type available in the tier.
-Mawile is also a premier Stealth Rock setter due to its ability to set them up on common Pokemon such as Komala, Kecleon or Shiftry. You can also mention it being able to annoy common removers such as FightVally as well.
-Mawile's unique typing allows it to wall several prominent threats such as Shiftry, Toucannon and Muk.
-Its support movepool is additionally well provided with moves such as Knock Off, Super Fang, Taunt and Pain Split which lets it distinguishes itself from other Stealth Rock setters.
-Moreover, Mawile has access to two useful abities in Intimidate and Sheer Force which allows it to be played either as a wall or as a wallbreaker.
-However, offensive Mawile is very frail due to its lack of investment in bulk. Therefore it is unable to take strong hits even resisted such as Psychic from Beheeyem or Multi-Attack from Silvally-Fighting.
-Furthermore, Mawile's offensive stats aren't much better, and is walled by physical walls such as Pyukumuku and Gourgeist-XL. Its low Speed also makes it easily revenge killed by most offensive Pokemon such as Combusken and Swanna, but also defensive Pokemon like Altaria.
-Moreover Mawile is weak to two very common offensive types in Ground and Fire which makes it forced out by common Pokemon such as Golem, Sandslash, Rapidash and Combusken.
Also mention how common hazard removers such as Swanna, WaterVally, and FanTom can easily wear it down which can make it's role as an SR setter a bit more difficult.

Moves
========

-Play Rough is Mawile's strongest move which allows it to OHKO Shiftry after Stealth Rock and Hakamo-o after chip damages. It also deals significant damages to defensive Pokemon that are weak to such as Machoke, Gabite and Altaria add DarkVally on here as too; and in addition frail Pokemon such as Kadabra and Chatot takes more damage from it than from Seismic Toss.
-However Seismic can be used for consistent damages which lets Mawile hit Pokemon such as CroMuk and Bronzor but leaves it helpless against Ghost-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Misdreavus. Thanks to this move Mawile can break Vigoroth's Substitute and makes therefore Mawile a good check to it.
-Pain Split is Mawile's best recovery move and it pairs well with Mawile's low base HP stats. It lets better Mawile weaken defensive Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Gourgeist-XL than with its other offensive moves.
-Toxic is Mawile's best way to weaken opposing walls as well as being able to punish switch-in to threats to Mawile such as Combusken, Golem or Gourgeist-XL. You can also mention Golem here too.
-Taunt improves Mawile's matchup against bulkier build preventing them to recover the lost damages. For example it allows Mawile to completely shut down Pyukumuku and Shiinotic. Also can shut down Bronzor.
-Knock is an option which lets Mawile remove item from Pokemon that would switch into it such as Bronzor's or Mareanie's Eviolite or Lickilicky's Leftovers.
-Super Fang is another option which lets Mawile better beat defensive Pokemon but prevents it from hitting Ghost-type such as Gourgeist-XL and Dusclops. Running this move over another offensive one also means that Mawile will rely on Toxic to knock opposing Pokemon out. Note that Sfang can be paired with Taunt to make Mawile act as a great stallbreaker.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

-Mawile should absolutely avoid any special move because they do a lot of damages. This also includes special moves from mixed attackers, and especially LO Leaf Storm from Shiftry, a Pokemon that Mawile is supposed to check.
-Mawile can check some Pokemon only if their Attack got lowered, therefore if Mawile is already on the field it may be unable to deal with Pokemon it's supposed to check such as Pinsir and Bouffalant.
-However it should be send against the physical attackers it beats such as Shiftry, Toucannon, Leafeon and Raticate, and then use them as an opportunity to set Stealth Rock.
-Mawile can also be send against anticipitated against Toxic from Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Silvally-Fighting. This allows Mawile to set Stealth Rock or to threaten them with Seismic Toss, Super Fang, or Toxic or use them to get health back through Pain Split.
-Mawile shouldn't be send on Pokemon with Defiant such as Pawniard since it gets a boost in Attack and can bet Mawile. Same goes for Fire and Ground physical attackers such as Combusken and Sandslash which can easily break through Mawile with their super effective STAB moves. Second sentence seems kinda obvious though, I would personally remove but would like to see other QC's input on it, unless you specify coverage specially from threats who do not gain STAB from Fire and Ground type moves.
-Mawile should avoid to set up Stealth Rock if the opponent has a hazard remover that can easily come into Mawile such as Swanna or Silvally-Ground. Add Sandslash here too.

Team Options
========

-Pokemon that appreciates hazard support like VoltTurn users such as different Silvally formes, Electivire and Komala as well as strong wallbreakers or sweepers such as Rampardos, Shiftry or Fraxure. Replace Rampardos with Combusken, more relevant.
-Specially Offensive Water-types such as Floatzel, Swanna or Simipour can take on Ground and Fire-types that threaten Mawile, while Mawile can take on specially defensive Pokemon such as Kecleon and Komala and Grass-types such as Shiinotic and Jumpluff for them.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

-Play Rough and Iron Head are Mawile's best STAB moves. The former allows it to hit Fighting- and Dark-types such as Poliwrath, Hakamo-o and Shiftry for super effective damages, and is also Mawile's most powerful move dealing strong damages even to neutral foes such as Beheeyem and Komala. The latter is a bit less strong but not less useful, hitting Rock- and Fairy-types such as Golem, Crustle, Shiinotic and Granbull for super effective damage, while also dealing better damage to Poison-types that resist Play Rough such as Muk and Silvally-Poison.
-Knock Off is a strong move that allows Mawile to break through Bronzor as well as remove item from Mawile's checks such as Mareanie and Sandslash.
-Sucker Punch is Mawile best priority move and should only be used if Mawile is carrying Swords Dance, as the Attack boost is required to remove most of the Pokemon faster than it such as Electivire and Swanna. It also allows Mawile to have a better time cleaning offensive teams.
-Thunder Punch allows Mawile to deal super effective damages to Mareanie that resists both its STAB moves and is able to wall Mawile, it also allows Mawile to always 2HKO Pyukumuku after Stealth Rock.
-Fire Blast lets Mawile deal with Grass-type and Steel-types such as Gourgeist-XL and opposing Mawile ; as well as OHKOing Avalugg after Stealth Rock. Although note that Mawile's poor SpA makes the coverage option weak otherwise.

Set Details
========

-A Life Orb coupled with Sheer Force and an Adamant Nature increases Mawile wallbreaking capacities, which allows it for example to OHKO Rotom-Spin Fan after Stealth Rock with Play Rough.
I would also note the advantage of running Jolly, enabling it to outspeed stuff like Marowak and invested Komala and Bouffalant as well.

Usage Tips
========

-Mawile should be switched out if it's facing a faster Pokemon that hit hard such as Swanna, Rapidash or Silvally-Ground, unless they have been weakened in the range of Sucker Punch. This kinda goes hand in hand with previous sentence, would merge both of them.

This is good, however I want to note that damage is not meant to be plural in the majority of cases, an error I ran into many times while checking this analysis so please be aware of that. QC 2/3 after implementing.

Play Rough is Mawile's strongest move, (AC) which allows it to OHKO Shiftry after Stealth Rock and Hakamo-o after chip damage. It also deals significant damage to defensive Pokemon that are weak to it such as Machoke, Silvally-Dark, and Altaria(Remove space, keep semicolon); and in addition frail Pokemon such as Kadabra and Chatot takes more damage from it than from Seismic Toss. However, (AC) Seismic Toss can be used for consistent damage, (AC) which lets Mawile hit Pokemon such as CroMuk Curse + RestTalk Muk and Bronzor, (AC) but leaves it helpless against Ghost-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Misdreavus. Thanks to this move, (AC) Mawile can break Vigoroth's Substitute, (AC) and makes therefore Mawile making it a good check to it. Pain Split is Mawile's best recovery move and it pairs well with Mawile's low base HP stats. It lets better Mawile better weaken defensive Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Gourgeist-XL than with its other offensive moves. Toxic is Mawile's best way to weaken opposing walls as well as being able to punish switch-in to punish threats to Mawile it such as Combusken, Golem, (AC) or and Gourgeist-XL. Taunt improves Mawile's matchup against bulkier build Pokemon such as Bronzor, Pyukumuku, and Shiinotic, (AC) preventing them to from recovering the lost damage and shutting them down. For example it allows Mawile to completely shut down Bronzor, Pyukumuku and Shiinotic. (Combined the sentences into one for better flow) Knock Off is an option which that lets Mawile remove items from Pokemon that would switch into it such as Bronzor's or Mareanie's Eviolite or Lickilicky's Leftovers. Super Fang is another option which that lets Mawile better beat defensive Pokemon, (AC) but it prevents it from hitting Ghost-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Dusclops. Running this move over another offensive one also means that Mawile will rely on Toxic to knock opposing Pokemon out. This move paired with Taunt can turn Mawile as into a great stallbreaker, halving opposing Pokemon's health while preventing them from healing.

Set Details
========

Intimidate allows Mawile to better check physical attackers such as Shiftry, Silvally-Fighting, (AC) and Toucannon. Mawile appreciates to hold Leftovers due to its lack of relible a reliable recovery move. If Mawile runs Pain Split, it can afford to hold Rocky Helmet in order to deal chip damage to physical attackers such as Sawsbuck and Leafeon, (RC) as well as to punish U-turn from and punish Pokemon such as Silvally-Fighting and Komala that use U-turn.

Usage Tips
========

Mawile should absolutely avoid any special move because they do a lot of damage to it. This also includes special moves from mixed attackers, and especially LO Life Orb-boosted Leaf Storm from Shiftry, a Pokemon that Mawile is supposed to check. Mawile can check some Pokemon only if their Attack got has been lowered, therefore, (AC) if Mawile is already on the field it may be unable to deal with Pokemon it's supposed to check such as Pinsir and Bouffalant. However, (AC) it should be send sent out against the physical attackers it beats such as Shiftry, Toucannon, Leafeon, (AC) and Raticate, and then use them as an opportunity to set Stealth Rock. Mawile can also be send against anticipitated sent out against an anticipated Toxic from Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Silvally-Fighting. This allows Mawile to set Stealth Rock, (AC) or to threaten them with Seismic Toss, Super Fang, or Toxic, (AC) or use them to get health back through Pain Split. It shouldn't be send sent out on Pokemon with Defiant such as Pawniard, (AC) since it gets a boost in Attack and can beat Mawile. It should also avoid to set setting up Stealth Rock if the opponent has an entry hazard remover that can easily come into Mawile such as Swanna, Sandslash, (AC) or Silvally-Ground. Instead, (AC) Mawile should punish these entry hazard removers with either Toxic, Seismic Toss, (AC) or Super Fang.

Team Options
========

Since Mawile is particulary quite frail on the special side, (AC) it appreciates to be being paired with a specially defensive Pokemon such as Komala, Kecleon, (AC) or Lickilicky. Lickilicky and Komala are especially very potent partners, (AC) since they can support Mawile with their Wish and appreciates Mawile's ability to take on physical attackers. A Fire-types check to Fire-types such as Altaria, Mareanie, (AC) or Hakamo-o are is mandatory, (AC) since they can use Mawile as a setup fodder and threaten it with their super effective STAB moves. For the same reason, (AC) Ground-type checks to Ground-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Bronzor are appreciated. Pokemon that appreciates entry hazard support like VoltTurn users such as different Silvally formes, Electivire, (AC) and Komala as well as strong wallbreakers or sweepers such as Combusken, Shiftry, (AC) or and Fraxure. Specially offensive Water-types such as Floatzel, Swanna, (AC) or and Simipour can take on Ground-(AH) and Fire-types that threaten Mawile, while Mawile can take on specially defensive Pokemon such as Kecleon and Komala and Grass-types such as Shiinotic and Jumpluff for them. Moves
========

Play Rough and Iron Head are Mawile's best STAB moves. The former allows it to hit Fighting- and Dark-types such as Poliwrath, Hakamo-o, (AC) and Shiftry for super effective damage, and is also Mawile's most powerful move, (AC) dealing strong damage even to neutral foes such as Beheeyem and Komala. The latter is a bit less strong but not less useful, hitting Rock- and Fairy-types such as Golem, Crustle, Shiinotic, (AC) and Granbull for super effective damage, (RC) while also dealing better damage to Poison-types that resist Play Rough such as Muk and Silvally-Poison. Knock Off is a strong move that allows Mawile to break through Bronzor as well as remove items from Mawile's checks such as Mareanie and Sandslash. Sucker Punch is Mawile's best priority move and should only be used if Mawile it is carrying Swords Dance, as the Attack boost is required to remove most of the Pokemon faster than it such as Electivire and Swanna. It also allows Mawile to have a better time cleaning offensive teams. Thunder Punch allows Mawile to deal super effective damage to Mareanie, (AC) which that resists both its STAB moves and is able to wall Mawile, it also allows Mawile to always 2HKO Pyukumuku after Stealth Rock. Fire Blast lets Mawile deal with Grass-type (Keep the hyphen) and Steel-types such as Gourgeist-XL and opposing Mawile, (AC) ; (Remove semicolon) as well as OHKOing Avalugg after Stealth Rock. However, Mawile's low Special Attack stats makes it a subpar coverage option otherwise.

Set Details
========

A Life Orb coupled with Sheer Force and an Adamant nature increases Mawile's wallbreaking capacities, which allows it for example to OHKO Rotom-Fan after Stealth Rock with Play Rough, for example. A Jolly nature can be used to enable Mawile to outspeed Pokemon that would otherwise force Mawile out such as Marowak, Komala, (AC) and Bouffalant.

Usage Tips
========

Mawile is very frail without investment in bulk and Intimidate, that's why it should absolutely avoid to take taking any unresisted hit or special move. Instead, (AC) Mawile should be brought with in via VoltTurn from Pokemon such as Silvally, (RC) or Electivire, or on a hit that Mawile is immune to such as Hakamo-o's Dragon Tail or Muk's Poison Jab. It can also come in onto the field through agressive aggressive double switches, (AC) predicting a Pokemon that can't deal with Mawile such as Shiftry or Zweilous. Mawile can't afford to take hits, that's why it should use Swords Dance either if the opposing Pokemon can't deal significant damage to Mawile, for example Muk, or if the opposing Pokemon is threatened out by Mawile such as Vullaby or Machoke. Don't try to wallbreak with Mawile if its checks such as Torterra, Sandslash, (AC) or and Rapidash haven't been significantly weakened. Mawile should be switched out if it's facing a faster Pokemon that hits hard such as Swanna, Rapidash, (AC) or Silvally-Ground, unless they have been weakened in the range of enough to be finished off by Sucker Punch.

Team Options
========

Because of its unability inability to come in on most hits, Pokemon that run U-turn or Volt-Switch Volt Switch such as different Sivally formes, Electivire, (AC) and Jumpluff are great partners for Mawile. Offensive Mawile fit at best fits on most offensive builds, (AC) so other attackers such as offensive Stealth Rock Golem, Raichu, (AC) and Pawniard that can weaken Mawile's checks and counters such as Rapidash, Mareanie, (AC) and Sandslash are appreciated. Since Mawile is slow as a wallbreaker, (AC) it appreciates to be being played on offensive Sticky Web offense teams, (AC) so a Sticky Web setter such as Masquerain, Smeargle, (AC) or Shuckle makes a good partner for Mawile. Likewise, (AC) fast attackers such as Floatzel, Purugly, (AC) and Zebstrika as well as Choice Scarf users such as Electivire, Rapidash, (AC) and Silvally are potent partners, (AC) since they improve the matchup against most offensive teams. These Pokemon also appreciates Mawile's ability to weaken opposing walls, (AC) and which lets them have a better time cleaning the opposing team. Stealth Rock and Spikes support is appreciated by Mawile, (AC) since it chips away its checks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

If Mawile is running Taunt, (AC) defensive sets can run 36 EVs in Speed in order to outspeed Gourgeist-XL and therefore wall it. (RP) (AC), whereas offensive sets can run Ice Punch to target Torterra and other Ground-types. However, (AC) outside of this specific match up matchup, Mawile would prefer to run other coverage moves.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-type Pokemon such as Combusken, Rapidash, (AC) and Simisear threaten Mawile with their super effective STAB move which moves that can OHKO Mawile. This lets them use Mawile as set up sweeper respectively for Swords Dance and Nasty Plot setup fodder. (Can't use respectively if it's 3 mons then 2 moves, for example) However, (AC) they don't want to come in against an incoming Toxic or Super Fang, since it significantly hurts their staying power longevity. (Assuming that's what you were trying to say)

**Ground-types**: Mawile is weak to Ground-type moves, (AC) which lets makes it easily revenge killed by Pokemon of this type such as Golem, Torterra, (AC) and Sandslash. That This also means that Pokemon, (RC) that Mawile should be is supposed to check such as Bouffalant and Komala, (RC) can bypass it with Earthquake.

**Special Attackers**: Mawile is extremely susceptible to special moves, even resisted ones such as Chatot's Boomburst, Shiftry's Leaf Storm, and Kadabra's Psychic, or weak like Electivire's Volt Switch.

**Steel-(AH)types**: Steel-(AH)types Pokemon such as Bronzor and Probopass takes very little damage from Play Rough and are immune to Toxic. However, (AC) Bronzor doesn't appreciates to get getting hit by Knock Off nor to get hit by a or Sucker Punch boosted by Swords Dance.

**Magnet Pull**: Mawile is susceptible to get being trapped and OHKOed by Magnet Pull users in Probopass and Golem Alola Alolan Golem. Mawile can't deal significant damage to them and should be played carefully if facing any of these Pokemon.

**Setup Sweepers**: Because of its low bulk and reliance on Intimidate to wall physical attackers, Mawile struggles to beat setup sweepers such as Bulk Up Vigoroth, Coil Arbok, (AC) and Swords Dance Bouffalant.

Mawile stands out in the ZU tier by being of the few Fairy-(AH) and Steel-type Pokemon available in the tier. Play Rough is Mawile's strongest move, which allows allowing it to OHKO Shiftry after Stealth Rock damage and Hakamo-o after some chip damage. It also deals significant damage to defensive Pokemon that are weak to it, (AC) such as Machoke, Silvally-Dark, and Altaria; frail Pokemon such as Kadabra and Chatot take more damage from it than from Seismic Toss. However Alternatively, Seismic Toss can be used for to deal a consistent amount of damage, which lets Mawile hit Pokemon such as Curse + RestTalk Muk and Bronzor that resist Play Rough, and break Vigoroth's Substitute, but it leaves it Mawile helpless against Ghost-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Misdreavus. Thanks to this move, Mawile can break Vigoroth's Substitute, therefore making it a good check to it. (merged into previous sentence) Pain Split is Mawile's best recovery move form of recovery (it only has one recovery move), (AC) and it pairs well with Mawile's low base HP stat (RP) It lets Mawile to better weaken defensive Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Gourgeist-XL than with its other offensive moves. Toxic is Mawile's best way to weaken opposing walls and punish threats to it such as Combusken, Golem, and Gourgeist-XL. Taunt improves Mawile's matchup against bulkier passive (just because something is bulky doesn't mean it can't have hard-hitting attacks) Pokemon such as Bronzor, Pyukumuku and Shiinotic, preventing them from recovering the lost damage their health and shutting them down their other options. Knock Off is an option that lets Mawile remove items from Pokemon that would otherwise switch into it freely, (AC) such as Bronzor's or and Mareanie's Eviolite or and Lickilicky's Leftovers. Super Fang is another option over Pain Split that lets Mawile better beat pressure defensive Pokemon especially in tandem with Taunt, but it prevents it from hitting does not hit (having Super Fang doesn't "prevent Mawile from hitting" Ghost-types with Play Rough) Ghost-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Dusclops. Running this move over another offensive (Pain Split isn't offensive) one also means that Mawile will primarily rely on Toxic to knock opposing Pokemon out. This move paired with Taunt can turn Mawile into a great stallbreaker, halving opposing Pokemon's health while preventing them from healing. (moved upwards; mention pros first, cons later) (you already mentioned that Taunt prevents healing so omitted that)

Mawile appreciates the passive recovery from Leftovers due to its lack of access to a reliable recovery move. If Mawile runs Pain Split, it can afford to hold Rocky Helmet in order to deal chip damage to physical attackers such as Sawsbuck and Leafeonand Leafeon and (typo) punish Pokemon such as Silvally-Fighting and Komala that use U-turn.

Usage Tips
========

Mawile should absolutely avoid taking any special move special attacks because they will do a lot of damage to it. This also includes special (repetition) moves from mixed attackers, especially Life Orb-boosted Leaf Storm from Shiftry, which is (grammar-wise, current phrasing makes it sounds like "a Pokemon" is referring to "Leaf Storm") a Pokemon that Mawile is supposed to check normally checks. Mawile can only check some Pokemon only if their Attack has been lowered with Intimidate; (SC) therefore, if Mawile is already on the field, (AC) it may be unable to deal with Pokemon it's supposed to check such as Pinsir and Bouffalant. However, it should be sent out against the physical attackers it beats such as Shiftry, Toucannon, Leafeon, and Raticate (RC) and then use them as an opportunities to set Stealth Rock. Mawile can also be sent out against an anticipated use of Toxic from Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Silvally-Fighting. This allows Mawile to set Stealth Rock, threaten them with Seismic Toss, Super Fang, or Toxic, or use them to get health back through Pain Split. (you pretty much listed every option) It shouldn't be sent out on Pokemon with Defiant such as Pawniard, however, since it gets said foes will get a boost in their Attack and can beat Mawile. It Mawile should also avoid setting up Stealth Rock if the opponent has an entry hazard remover that can easily come into Mawile in on it such as Swanna, Sandslash, or Silvally-Ground. Instead, Mawile should punish these entry hazard removers with Toxic, Seismic Toss, or Super Fang.

Team Options
========

Since Mawile is quite frail on the special side, it appreciates being paired with a specially defensive Pokemon such as Komala, Kecleon, or Lickilicky. Lickilicky and Komala are especially potent partners since they can support Mawile with their Wish and appreciates appreciate Mawile's ability to take on physical attackers in return (subjective). A check to Fire-types such as Altaria, Mareanie, or Hakamo-o is mandatory, since they Fire-types can use Mawile as setup fodder and threaten it with their super effective STAB moves. For the same reason, checks to Ground-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Bronzor are appreciated. Pokemon that appreciates appreciate hazard support like VoltTurn users such as different Silvally formes, Electivire, and Komala as well as strong wallbreakers or sweepers such as Combusken, Shiftry, and Fraxure pair well with Mawile (finish the sentence).

Moves
========

Play Rough and Iron Head are Mawile's best STAB moves. The former allows it to hit Fighting- and Dark-types such as Poliwrath, Hakamo-o, and Shiftry for super effective damage (RC) and is also Mawile's most powerful move, dealing strong high damage even to neutral foes it hits neutrally such as Beheeyem and Komala. The latter is a bit less strong weaker but not less still useful, hitting as it hits Rock- and Fairy-types such as Golem, Crustle, Shiinotic, and Granbull for super effective damage while also dealing better more damage to Poison-types that resist Play Rough such as Muk and Silvally-Poison. Knock Off is a strong move that allows Mawile to break through Bronzor as well as remove items from Mawile's checks such as Mareanie and Sandslash. Sucker Punch is Mawile's best priority move and allows it to have an easier time cleaning offensive teams. and It should only be used if it is carrying alongside Swords Dance, as the Attack boost it confers is required to remove avoid being revenge killed by most of the Pokemon faster than it Mawile such as Electivire and Swanna. It also allows Mawile to have a better time cleaning offensive teams. (merged into previous sentence) Thunder Punch allows Mawile to deal super effective damage to Mareanie, which resists both its STAB moves and is would otherwise be able to wall Mawile; (SC) it also allows Mawile to always 2HKO Pyukumuku after Stealth Rock damage. Fire Blast lets Mawile deal with Grass- and Steel-types such as Gourgeist-XL and opposing Mawile as well as OHKOing OHKO Avalugg after Stealth Rock damage. However, Mawile's low Special Attack makes it Fire Blast a subpar coverage option otherwise.

Set Details
========

Life Orb coupled with Sheer Force and an Adamant nature increases maximizes Mawile's wallbreaking capacities capacity, which allows allowing it to achieve benchmarks such as OHKOing Rotom-Fan after Stealth Rock damage with Play Rough, for example. A Jolly nature can be used to enable Mawile to outspeed Pokemon that would otherwise force Mawile it out such as Marowak, Komala, and Bouffalant.

Usage Tips
========

Mawile is very frail without investment in bulk and or Intimidate, that's which is why it should absolutely avoid taking any unresisted hit or special move attack. Instead, Mawile should be brought in via the assistance of VoltTurn from Pokemon such as Silvally or Electivire, or on hit a attacks that Mawile it is immune to such as Hakamo-o's Dragon Tail or Muk's Poison Jab. It can also come onto the field through aggressive double switches (RC) when predicting a Pokemon that can't deal with Mawile such as Shiftry or Zweilous to come in. Because Mawile can't afford to take hits, that's why it should only use Swords Dance either if the opposing Pokemon is one like Muk that can't deal significant damage to Mawile, for example Muk, or if the opposing Pokemon or one like Vullaby or Machoke is threatened out by Mawile such as Vullaby or Machoke. Don't try to wallbreak with Mawile if its checks such as Torterra, Sandslash, and Rapidash haven't been significantly weakened. Mawile should be switched out if it's facing a faster Pokemon that hits can hit it hard such as Swanna, Rapidash, or Silvally-Ground, unless they have been weakened enough to the point where they can be finished off by Sucker Punch.

Team Options
========

Because of its inability to come in on most hits, Pokemon that run U-turn or Volt Switch VoltTurn users (consistency; you mentioned VoltTurn before) such as different Sivally formes, Electivire, and Jumpluff are great partners for Mawile since they can bring it in safely. Offensive Mawile best fits on most offensive builds, so other attackers such as offensive Stealth Rock Golem, Raichu, and Pawniard that can weaken Mawile's checks and counters such as Rapidash, Mareanie, and Sandslash are appreciated. Since Mawile is slow as for a wallbreaker, it appreciates being played placed on offensive Sticky Web teams, so a Sticky Web setters (consistency) such as Masquerain, Smeargle, or and Shuckle makes a make good partners for Mawile. Likewise, fast attackers such as Floatzel, Purugly, and Zebstrika as well as Choice Scarf users such as Electivire, Rapidash, and Silvally are potent partners (RC) since they improve the matchup against most offensive teams. These Pokemon also appreciate Mawile's ability to weaken opposing walls, which lets letting them have a better easier time cleaning the opposing team. Stealth Rock and Spikes support (from which Pokemon?) is appreciated by Mawile, since it entry hazards help to chips chip away at its checks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

If Mawile is running Taunt, defensive sets can run 36 EVs in Speed in order to outspeed Gourgeist-XL and therefore wall it. (AP) whereas Offensive sets can run Ice Punch to target Torterra and other Ground-types; (SC) however, outside of this specific matchup, Mawile would prefer to run other coverage moves.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-type Pokemon such as Combusken, Rapidash, and Simisear threaten can OHKO Mawile with their super effective STAB moves that can OHKO Mawile. This let them use Mawile or use it as setup fodder. However, (AC) they don't want to come in against an incoming Toxic or Super Fang, since it these options significantly hurts hurt their longevity.

**Ground-types and Ground-type Coverage**: Mawile is weak to Ground-type moves, which makes it (you don't need to explain this) easily revenge killed by Pokemon such as Golem, Torterra and Sandslash. This also means that Pokemon that Mawile is supposed to check, (AC) such as Bouffalant and Komala, (AC) can bypass it with Earthquake.

**Special Attackers**: Mawile is extremely susceptible to special moves attacks, including even resisted ones such as Chatot's Boomburst, Shiftry's Leaf Storm, and Kadabra's Psychic (RC) or and weak ones like Electivire's Volt Switch.

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon such as Bronzor and Probopass take very little damage from Play Rough and are immune to Toxic. However, Bronzor doesn't appreciates appreciate getting hit by Knock Off or Sucker Punch boosted by Swords Dance.

**Magnet Pull**: Mawile is susceptible to being trapped and OHKOed by Magnet Pull users in Probopass and Alolan Golem. Mawile can't deal significant damage back to them and should therefore be played carefully if facing any of these Pokemon.

**Setup Sweepers**: Because of its low bulk and reliance on Intimidate to wall physical attackers, Mawile struggles to beat setup sweepers such as Bulk Up Vigoroth, Coil Arbok, and Swords Dance Bouffalant.

[OVERVIEW]

Mawile stands out in the ZU tier by being as one of the few Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon available. Mawile is also a premier Stealth Rock setter due to its ability to set them up entry hazards on common Pokemon such as Komala, Kecleon, or Silvally-Fighting, (comma) Mawile's and its unique typing allows it to check several prominent threats such as Shiftry, Toucannon, and Muk. Its support movepool is additionally well provided with moves such as Knock Off, Super Fang, Taunt, and Pain Split, which distinguishes itself sets it apart from other Stealth Rock setters. Moreover, Mawile has access to two useful abilities in Intimidate and Sheer Force, which allows it to be played either as a wall or as a wallbreaker. However, offensive Mawile is very frail due to its lack of investment in bulk. Therefore, it is unable to take strong hits, even resisted ones, such as Psychic from Beheeyem or and Multi-Attack from Silvally-Fighting. Furthermore, Mawile's offensive stats aren't much better, (AC) and it is walled by physical walls such as Pyukumuku and Gourgeist-XL. Its low Speed also makes it easily revenge killed by most offensive Pokemon such as Combusken and Swanna (RC) but also and even by defensive Pokemon like Altaria.

Moves

Play Rough is Mawile's strongest move, which allows it to OHKO Shiftry (dead) after Stealth Rock and Hakamo-o after chip damage. It also deals significant damage to defensive Pokemon that are weak to it such as Machoke, Silvally-Dark, and Altaria (RSC) and to frail Pokemon such as Kadabra and Chatot take more damage from it than from Seismic Toss. Pain Split is Mawile's best recovery move, (AC) and it pairs well with Mawile's low base HP stat. It lets Mawile better weaken defensive Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Gourgeist-XL than with its other offensive moves. Knock Off is an option that lets Mawile remove item items from Pokemon that would switch into it such as Bronzor's or Mareanie's Eviolite or and Lickilicky's Leftovers. This move Super Fang paired with Taunt can turn Mawile into a great stallbreaker, halving opposing Pokemon's health while preventing them from healing.

Mawile is very frail without investment in bulk and Intimidate, that's why so it should absolutely avoid taking any unresisted hit or special move. Instead, Mawile should be brought in via VoltTurn support from Pokemon such as Silvally or and Electivire, on a hit a that Mawile it is immune to such as Hakamo-o's Dragon Tail or Muk's Poison Jab, (comma) It can also come onto the field or through aggressive double switches, predicting a Pokemon that can't deal with Mawile such as Shiftry (dead) or Zweilous. Since Mawile can't afford to take hits, that's why it should use Swords Dance either if the on opposing Pokemon that can't deal significant damage to Mawile, for example it, such as Muk, or if the opposing Pokemon is threatened it threatens out, (AC) by Mawile such as Vullaby or and Machoke.

========

Other Options
=============

If Mawile is running Taunt, defensive sets can run 36 EVs in Speed in order to outspeed Gourgeist-XL and therefore wall it, whereas offensive sets can run Ice Punch to target Torterra and other Ground-types. However, outside of this these specific matchups, Mawile would prefer to run other coverage moves.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-type Pokemon such as Combusken, Rapidash, and Simisear threaten to OHKO Mawile with their super effective STAB moves that can OHKO Mawile. This let them use Mawile as setup fodder. However, (AC) they don't want to come in against an incoming Toxic or Super Fang, since it significantly hurts their longevity.

**Special Attackers**: Mawile is extremely susceptible to special moves, even resisted ones such as Chatot's Boomburst, Shiftry's Leaf Storm, and Kadabra's Psychic (RC) or and weak ones like Electivire's Volt Switch.

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon such as Bronzor and Probopass take very little damage from Play Rough and are immune to Toxic. However, Bronzor doesn't appreciates getting hit by Knock Off or Swords Dance-boosted Sucker Punch boosted by Swords Dance.
