After that spectacular failure, and subsequent punch...my vision went rather hazy. Honestly, I'm not sure what happened. I think my body went on some kind of autopilot, and the next thing I knew I was in some black void. Already rather confused and disoriented, I had a hard time finding my way around.

Meanwhile, some of my other Pokemon, those who weren't trying to kill me or got knocked out by the proceedings, had gone on a search for me.

Creeping around the corner, Al and Ted indeed spot someone - a redhead in a purple coat commanding a Sableye and a Shuckle against an Escavalier and what looks to be a more monstrous version of a Pinsir., who appear to be searching for somebody.

Stitch, the Sableye in question, starts the fight off by taking advantage of Prankster and burning Brunhilde, the ohshitIforgottodisablemegas Mega Pinsir, who counters by taking advantage of Aerilate and hitting her a few times. Sir Lance-a-lot, the Escavalier, rams Stitch with a double entendre, while that Shuckle, known as Shelly, smacks Brunhilde with the first of many Rollouts. Stitch then sticks to fire punches on Lance-a-lot, while Mamo's attacks are concentrated on her in retaliation, bringing her down to her last legs.

Speaking of which, Max took a bit of a beating, while Shelly is completely unharmed.

Okay, now this place was starting to give me the creeps. Have you ever seen one of those paintings where the geometry makes no sense, with the stairs on the ceiling and paths and such? This was pretty much one of those places. It all seemed to have some vaguely Egyptian architecture to it, though one could tell it was seeped with magic. With some effort, I was able to get to a clearing and catch my breath. Next to me, I saw what seemed to be the Sumshadagrene Arena cameraman and...announcer? Not sure, either way, I decided to interject myself into their conversation.

Before I knew it, the scarab the cameraman had spotted had latched onto my head. Try as I might to get it off, it would not get off of me. Suddenly, the scarab started glowing...which is always a bad sign when you're in a magic Egyptian temple. Then...well I'll put it bluntly.
