[OVERVIEW]

Medicham is one of the strongest physical attackers and one of the best wallbreakers in the NU tier due to its ability Pure Power combined with its extremely strong STAB moves and excellent coverage moves in Thunder Punch and Bullet Punch. Medicham also has an excellent Speed tier, outpacing and KOing common Pokemon such as Vanilluxe, Decidueye, and Samurott, as well as outspeeding pretty much all defensive Pokemon in the tier. However, Medicham is very easily worn down with entry hazards, Life Orb recoil, and potential Rocky Helmet and Aftermath damage. Its low HP stat and defenses don't help with this either; Medicham can almost never safely switch directly in on any predicted attack, as it takes massive damage even from resisted hits. Medicham's main attacking move, High Jump Kick, isn't risk free either, as Ghost-types and Pokemon with Protect are commonly seen in the tier, both of which cause High Jump Kick to miss and Medicham to lose 50% of its health. Lastly, Medicham is outsped and KOed by most offensive threats in the tier, like Rotom, Heliolisk, and Comfey. Offensive Golbat also aims to outpace and KO it with Brave Bird.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

High Jump Kick is Medicham's strongest move, doing big damage even to neutral or resisted targets. Zen Headbutt allows Medicham to hit most Pokemon that resist or are immune to Fighting such as Garbodor, Rotom, and Decidueye. Its flinch chance can also be a big deal in dealing with walls like Palossand. Thunder Punch is the best coverage move Medicham can use in NU, as it 2HKOes any Slowbro variant after Stealth Rock damage. Bullet Punch allows Medicham to pick off Pokemon that could otherwise KO it, such as Sneasel and slightly weakened Whimsicott. Psycho Cut can be used over Zen Headbutt to avoid recoil damage from most notably Garbodor, as well as for its 100% accuracy, but it misses out on important OHKOs on Golbat, Vileplume, and Garbodor.

Set Details
========

Life Orb gives Medicham's already great Attack a boost. A Jolly nature is used to outpace common Pokemon like Vanilluxe and Speed tie with Passimian and Braviary, two Pokemon that could otherwise heavily damage Medicham. Maximum Attack and Speed EVs make Medicham as powerful and fast as possible.

Usage Tips
========

Avoid switching Medicham directly in on a predicted attack, since it's very frail and likely to take a big hit from any attack—even resisted ones. Rather, utilize teammates with moves like Volt Switch, U-turn, and Parting Shot to get Medicham in safely. While using High Jump Kick often seems risk free, be wary of the opponent potentially switching in either a Ghost-type Pokemon or a defensive Slowbro. The former will cause Medicham to lose 50% of its health, whereas the latter is mainly a momentum drain. Since there aren't many hard counters to Medicham, people will often try to pivot around it as well as they can. Because of this, playing aggressively with Medicham, predicting switch-ins and hitting them with the appropiate coverage move, will mess up most defensive teams.

Team Options
========

Slow U-turn and Volt Switch Pokemon like Incineroar and Vikavolt are great partners for Medicham, as they can guarantee a safe switch for it. Pokemon that can outpace Pokemon like Heliolisk, Whimsicott, and Sceptile are also great partners, as Medicham has trouble dealing with these threats. Pursuit users, namely Sneasel, help Medicham spam High Jump Kick even more easily by erasing Ghost-types like Rotom and Dhelmise. Pokemon that can easily beat Slowbro, like Heliolisk and Whimsicott, are great partners for Medicham, as Slowbro is one of the few mostly safe switch-ins to it. Entry hazard removal is very important for keeping Medicham healthy throughout the battle, since it is already prone to being worn down due to Life Orb recoil and other residual damage, and Spikes and Stealth Rock damage limits its opportunities to switch in even further. Garbodor is also a good partner for Medicham, as it deals with most of the Fairy-types in the tier and can also set up entry hazards for Medicham.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Bulk Up Medicham is a cool setup sweeper on bulky offense teams, being able to take Sneasel's Knock Off at +1 Defense and gain most HP back with Drain Punch. This set should run Electrium Z with Thunder Punch to KO most Slowbro variants from full HP. This set lacks immediate breaking power, however, and it is not commonly seen for that reason. Choice Scarf Medicham can KO Pokemon like Heliolisk and Sneasel by surprise, but the surprise factor only works once, and after that, it is much easier for the opponent to safely switch into Medicham. Medicham could also opt to run Ice Punch over Zen Headbutt for a better matchup against Palossand while still hitting Vileplume and Golbat hard. This, however, makes the matchup versus Garbodor and Rotom much harder for Medicham.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Slowbro**: Slowbro is one of the few Pokemon that can reliably beat most Medicham variants due to its resistance to both of Medicham's STAB moves; however, it has to be wary of Thunder Punch, since all Slowbro variants are 2HKOed by Thunder Punch with Stealth Rock up.

**Ghost-type Pokemon**: Medicham has to be wary of Ghost-types switching in on its High Jump Kick, as they cause Medicham to lose 50% of its health. Most Ghost-types in the tier are either faster than Medicham, like Rotom and Mismagius, or bulky enough to take one hit from it. Examples of this are Palossand and Decidueye.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon like Heliolisk, Sneasel, and Whimsicott all pose a threat to Medicham, since they naturally outpace it and can all KO Medicham without needing much prior damage. None of these can safely switch in on Medicham, though, since the former two get OHKOed by High Jump Kick, and the latter one faints to a combination of High Jump Kick and Bullet Punch. Comfey is also a threat to Medicham, as it outprioritizes and KOes Medicham with Draining Kiss due to its ability.

**Recoil Damage**: All of Medicham's moves make contact aside from Psycho Cut, meaning it is very prone to being chipped away at by Rocky Helmet, Iron Barbs, and Rough Skin damage, combined with Life Orb recoil and potential High Jump Kick crash damage.

AM check, implement whatever you agree with
[OVERVIEW]

- strongest physical attacker in the tier due to Huge Power
- one of the best wallbreakers in the tier you could probably mention what kind of walls it breaks as to give the reader more of an idea of what to consider medicham on a team for
- extremely strong STAB-moves, combined with excellent coverage moves in Thunder Punch and Bullet Punch, makes Medicham an extremely dangerous Pokemon to face for nearly any team
- excellent speed tier, outpacing and KOing common Pokemon such as Vanilluxe and Klinklang maybe swap out Vanilluxe, you pose the risk of scarf sets
- using High Jump Kick isn't necessarily risk-free as Ghost-types and Pokemon with Protect are quite common, both causing High Jump Kick to miss and Medicham to lose 50% of its health
- outsped and KOd by most offensive threats in the tier; examples are Rotom, Whimsicott, and Sneasel Sneasel gets OHKOed by BP after slight chip, maybe change this for smth like Heliolisk
- Life Orb recoil, combined with potential entry hazards, Rocky Helmet and/or Aftermath damage makes for Medicham to be chipped down to low HP very easily, making it easy to revenge-kill
- low HP stat and defenses don't help with this either; Medicham is almost never safe to hard-switch in on any attack as it takes massive damage even from resisted hits

- Bullet Punch is a great fourth move as it allows Medicham to pick off Pokemon that could otherwise KO it, such as Sneasel and a slightly weakened Whimsicott Sneasel is guaranteed OHKOed after rocks, perhaps something worth mentioning
- Psycho Cut can be used over Zen Headbutt to avoid recoil damage from most notably Garbodor, as well as having 100% accuracy, but misses out on some notable KOs on Golbat, Vileplume, and Garbodor

Set Details
========

- Life Orb is easily the best item to use on Medicham, as it gives its already strong attack a boost, at the cost of 10% recoil per used move
- A Jolly Nature is used to outpace common Pokemon like Vanilluxe and to speed-tie with Passimian and Braviary, pokemon that could otherwise heavily damage Medicham specify non-scarf, it's especially common on the former
- EVs are very simple; there is no reason to invest any EVs into bulk since Medicham is too frail to switch into attacks any way. Max Speed and Attack is easily the best EV-investment available the first sentence seems a bit fluff-y but I'll wait for someone else's imput on that

You could probably mention a Z Crystal of sorts as to compensate for medicham getting easily worn. Elec Z bops Slowbro, Fight Z gets a free KO on anything that doesn't resist

Usage Tips
========

- Avoid hard-switching in Medicham on a predicted attack, since it's very frail and likely to take a big hit from any attack - even resisted
- Rather, utilize teammates with moves like Volt Switch, U-turn, or Parting Shot, to get Medicham in safely
- While clicking High Jump Kick is often without risk, be wary of the opponent hard-switching in either a Ghost-type Pokemon or a defensive Slowbro. The former will cause Medicham to lose 50% of its health, where the latter is mainly a momentum suck
- Since there aren't many hard-counters to Medicham, people will often try to pivot around it as good as possible. Because of this, playing aggresively with Medicham and predicting switch-ins and hitting them with the appropiate coverage will mess up most defensive teams

Pretty solid

Team Options
========

- Slow U-Turn and Volt Switch Pokemon like Incineroar and Vikavolt are great partners vor Medicham as they can guarantee a safe switchin for it
- Pokemon that can outpace Pokemon like did you forget about this section?
- Pursuit users, namely Sneasel, help Medicham spam High Jump Kick even easier since they try to erase Ghost-types like Rotom and Dhelmise for it
- Pokemon that can easily beat Slowbro like Heliolisk and Whimsicott are great partners for Medicham as Slowbro is one of the best switch-ins for it in the tier Heliolisk is also able to provide momentum via Volt Switch
- Hazard removal is very important for keeping Medicham alive throughout the battle, since it is already prone to being worn down tue to Life Orb and other potential recoil damage, meaning additional Spikes and Stealth Rock damage limits Medichams switchin-opportunities even further

Mention late-game cleaners that appreciate Medicham's wallbreaking capabilities

Entry hazards are an important thing to mention as it aids in its wallbreaking. Rocks secures an OHKO on stuff like Golbat with ZHB, Sneasel with BP

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Bulk Up Medicham is a cool wincondition on Bulky Offense teams which allows Medicham to act like a set-up sweeper, being able to live Sneasel's Knock Off at +1 Defense and gain most HP back with Drain Punch, for example. This set lacks immediate breaking power however, and is not commonly seen for that reason
- if your team has an excellent Slowbro lure, you could opt to run Poison Jab over Thunder Punch to hit Comfey, Mega Audino, and Aromatisse harder if your team is extremely weak to these Pokemon you already demolish Maudino with HJK, sure you fear Protect but you can always use ZHB on turns after it uses wish to play it safe
- Choice Scarf Medicham is cool to surprise-KO Pokemon like Heliolisk and Sneasel, although it makes it much easier to wall Medicham for the opponent, and the surprise factor only works once also competes with scarf passimian due to its ability to provide momentum with U-turn, better neutral coverage, etcetera.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Slowbro**: Slowbro is one of the few Pokemon that can reliably beat most Medicham variants due to resisting both of Medicham's STAB-moves, although it has to be wary of Thunder Punch, since two consecutive Thunder Punches will KO any Slowbro variant with Stealth Rock up Medicham also fears being burned by Scald. (be sure to specifiy physdef bro as well, AV sets don't switch in well at all, as even HJK puts it into range of thunder punch)

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon like Heliolisk, Sneasel, and Whimsicott all pose a threat to Medicham since they naturally outpace it, and can all KO Medicham without needing much prior damage. None of these can safely switch in on Medicham though, since the former two get OHKOd by High Jump Kick, and the latter one faints to a combination of High Jump Kick + Bullet Punch. I'd give a shout to faster priority moves in general, mainly from Comfey, easily puts medicham into range of LO KOing itself

**Recoil Damage**: All of Medichams moves make contact with the opponent (besides Psycho Cut), meaning it is very prone to being chipped away at by Rocky Helmet, Iron Barbs and Rough Skin damage, combined with the Life Orb recoil and potential High Jump Kick crash damage

Ghost types are able to punish HJK and retaliate with super effective stab. Dhelm lives any one hit whereas Missy outspeeds and threatens with Shadow Ball

Overall this was quite good, most of this was either minor or nitpicky.

ice punch could probably do with an oo mention; gives you a more reliable palossand (and i guess torterra?) matchup at the cost of either being hard-walled by slowbro and slowking to a lesser extent while also allowing comfey to more comfortable stay in against medi

[OVERVIEW]

Medicham is one of the strongest physical attackers in the NU tier due to its ability Huge Power. It is by far one of the best wallbreakers in the tier, due to its extremely strong STAB-moves, in combination with exccellent coverage moves in Thunder Punch and Bullet Punch. Medicham also has an excellent speed tier, outpacing and KOing common Pokemon such as Vanilluxe, Decidueye and Samurott, as well as outspeeding pretty much all defensive Pokemon in the tier.
Medicham's main attacking move, High Jump Kick, isn't necessarily risk-free as Ghost-types and Pokemon with Protect are commonly seen in the tier, both causing High Jump Kick to miss and Medicham to lose 50% of its health. Besides that, Medicham is also very easily worn down with entry hazards, Life Orb recoil, and potential Rocky Helmet and/or Aftermath damage. Its low HP stat and defenses don't help with this either; Medicham is almost never safe to hard-switch in on any predicted attack as it takes massive damage even from resisted hits. make this the first negative point about medi since thats the main drawback of medi, also p sure u need to remove the spaces
Medicham is outsped and KOd by most offensive threats in the tier, like Rotom, Whimsicott, and Comfey. Offensive Golbat also aims to outpace and KO it with a Brave Bird. offensive bat isnt rly a thing just say golbat, also mention helio>whims bc whims takes a lot from bp

Zen headbutt allows Medicham to hit most Fighting-resists or -immunes such as Garbodor, Rotom and Decidueye. Bullet Punch is a great fourth move as it allows Medicham to pick off Pokemon that could otherwise KO it, such as Sneasel and slightly weakened Whimsicott. Psycho Cut can be used over Zen Headbutt to avoid recoil damage from most notably Garbodor, as well as having 100% accuracy, but it misses out on important OHKOs on Golbat, Vileplume and Garbodor. mention about flinches as well w zen since that can def help vs stuff like palo

Set Details

Life Orb is easily the best item to use on Medicham, as it gives its already strong attack a boost, at the cost of 10% recoil per used move. A Jolly Nature is used to outpace common Pokemon like Vanilluxe and to speed-tie with Passimian and Braviary, two Pokemon that could otherwise heavily damage Medicham. The EVs on the set are very simple; there is no reason to invest any EVs into bulk since Medicham is too frail to consistently switch into attacks either way. Max Speed and Attack is easily the best EV-investment.

Usage Tips

Avoid hard-switching in Medicham on a predicted attack, since it's very frail and likely to take a big hit from any attack - even resisted ones. Rather, utilize teammates with moves like Volt Switch, U-turn or Parting Shot to get Medicham in safely. While clicking High Jump Kick often seems 'free' or without risk, be wary of the opponent potentially hard-switching in either a Ghost-type Pokemon or a defensive Slowbro. The former will cause Medicham to lose 50% of its health, where the latter is mainly a momentum suck. Since there aren't many hard-counters to Medicham, people will often try to pivot around it as good as possible. Because of this, playing aggressively with Medicham, predicting switch-ins and hitting them with the appropiate coverage move will mess up most defensive teams.

Slow U-turn and Volt Switch Pokemon like Incineroar and Vikavolt are great partners for Medicham as they can guarantee a safe switchin for it. Pokemon that can outpace Pokemon like Heliolisk, Whimsicott and Sceptile are also great partners for it as medicham has trouble dealing with these threats. Pursuit users, namely Sneasel, help Medicham spam High Jump Kick even easier since they try to erase Ghost-types like Rotom and Dhelmise for Medicham to spam High Jump Kick easier. Pokemon that can easily beat Slowbro, like Heliolisk and Whimsicott, are great partners for Medicham as Slowbro is one of the few (mostly) safe switch-ins for it in the tier. Hazard removal is very important for keeping Medicham alive throughout the battle, since it is already prone to being worn down due to Life Orb and other potential recoil damage, meaning addiotional Spikes and Stealth Rock damage limits Medichams switchin-opportunities even further. id give a mention to garb since that can check faries and spikes are p nice for medi

Bulk Up Medicham is a cool wincondition on Bulky Offense teams which allows Medicham to act like a set-up sweeper, being able to live Sneasel's Knock off at +1 Defense and gain most HP back with Drain Punch, for example mention how this runs elec z. This set lacks immediate breaking power however, and is not commonly seen for that reason. Choice Scarf Medicham is cool to surprise-KO POkemon like Heliolisk and Sneasel, however the surprise-factor only works once and after that, it is much easier for the opponent to safely switch into Medicham. mention running ice punch>zen, can help vs palo and still hits plume/bat/decid/dhelm, but also mention how it makes rotom/garb mu worse

Checks and Counters
===================

**Slowbro**: Slowbro is one of the few Pokemon that can reliably beat most Medicham variants due to resisting both of Medicham's STAB-moves, although it has to be wary of Thunder Punch, since two consecutive Thunder Punches will KO any Slowbro variant with Stealth Rock up

**Ghost-type Pokemon**: Medicham has to be wary of Ghost-types switching in on it as they cause Medicham to lose 50% of its health if it gets swapped in on High Jump Kick. Most Ghost-types in the tier are either faster than Medicham, like Rotom and Mismagius, or are bulky enough to live one hit from it. Examples of this are Palossand and Decidueye. Comfey is also a threat to Medicham as Draining Kiss outspeeds and KOs Medicham due to its ability. move comfey to faster pokemon section

**Recoil Damage**: All of Medichams moves make contact with the opponent (besides Psycho Cut), meaning it is very prone to being chipped away at by Rocky Helmet, Iron Barbs and Rough Skin damage, combined with the Life Orb recoil and potential High Jump Kick crash damage.

Medicham is one of the strongest physical attackers in the NU tier due to its ability Huge Pure Power, (comma) making it is by far one of the best wallbreakers in the tier due to combined with its extremely strong STAB moves (RH, RC) in combination with exccellent and excellent coverage moves in Thunder Punch and Bullet Punch. Medicham also has an excellent Speed tier, outpacing and KOing common Pokemon such as Vanilluxe, Decidueye, (AC) and Samurott, as well as outspeeding pretty much all defensive Pokemon in the tier. However, Medicham is very easily worn down with entry hazards, Life Orb recoil, and potential Rocky Helmet and/or Aftermath damage. Its low HP stat and defenses don't help with this either; Medicham is can almost never safely to hard switch (RH) in on any predicted attack, (AC) as it takes massive damage even from resisted hits. Medicham's main attacking move, High Jump Kick, isn't necessarily risk free (RH) either, as Ghost-types and Pokemon with Protect are commonly seen in the tier, both causing of which cause High Jump Kick to miss and Medicham to lose 50% of its health. Lastly, Medicham is outsped and KOd KOed by most offensive threats in the tier, like Rotom, Heliolisk, and Comfey. Offensive Golbat also aims to outpace and KO it with a Brave Bird.

Moves

High Jump Kick is Medicham's strongest move, doing big damage even to neutral or resisted targets. Zen Headbutt allows Medicham to hit most Fighting-resists or -immunes Pokemon that resist or are immune to Fighting such as Garbodor, Rotom, (AC) and Decidueye. Its also has a flinch chance to flinch the opponent which can also be a big deal in dealing with walls like Palossand. Thunder Punch is the best coverage move Medicham can use in NU, as it 2HKOs 2HKOes any Slowbro variant after Stealth Rock damage. Bullet Punch is a great fourth move as it allows Medicham to pick off Pokemon that could otherwise KO it, such as Sneasel and slightly weakened Whimsicott. Psycho Cut can be used over Zen Headbutt to avoid recoil damage from most notably Garbodor, as well as having for its 100% accuracy, but it misses out on important OHKOs on Golbat, Vileplume, (AC) and Garbodor.

Set Details
========

Life Orb is easily the best item to use on Medicham, as it gives its already strong great Attack a boost, at the cost of 10% recoil per used move. (dex info) A Jolly nature is used to outpace common Pokemon like Vanilluxe and to Speed tie (RH) with Passimian and Braviary, two Pokemon that could otherwise heavily damage Medicham. The EVs on the set are very simple, with maximum Speed and Attack; there is no reason to invest any EVs into bulk, (AC) since Medicham is too frail to consistently switch into attacks either way. Max Speed and Attack is easily the best EV-investment.

Usage Tips
