ORAS UU Mega Absol Team

I'm relatively new to the competitive battling scene, and this is my first complete competitive team! I imagine I'll need to tweak this team a lot, but I hope I'm off to a good start.

absol-mega.gif

Absol @ Absolite
Ability: Magic Bounce
Nature: Naive
EVs: 252 Atk / 220 Spe / 32 SpA
- Fire Blast
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance
Explanation: The main attacker and star of the team! I decided to use Fire Blast to make use of his mixed sweeper stats. Chances are if he gets hit he'll go down, but if he can get a Swords Dance in, he can sweep almost anything. Mega Able is definitely high-risk high-reward, but I guess that's part of what makes using him so much fun!

vaporeon.gif

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
- Ice Beam
- Protect
- Scald
- Wish
Explanation: The Wish passer on my team. Vaporeon doesn't have the best defense, but he has a great defensive move pool, and with a full HP and defense EV investment he makes a great wall.

Roserade @ Black Sludge
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
- Giga Drain
- Rest
- Sludge Bomb
- Toxic Spikes
Explanation: My team's entry hazard. Natural Cure gives Roserade a free Rest after switching out.

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpA / 4 HP
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
Explanation: I gave him a Life Orb, because with his frailty he'll be taking a good amount of damage anyway. Earthquake and Ice Punch gives him some coverage, and Extreme Speed comes in handy for faster opponents.

chandelure.gif

Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
- Energy Ball
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Trick

florges.png

Florges (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 SpD / 248 HP / 8 SpA
- Aromatherapy
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Synthesis

Hey Marz, not sure if you're too familiar with the metagame right now, but as Terion said, Sylveon as well as Sableye are OU. Regardless of that fact I'll rate to the best of my ability.

So first you need to replace Sableye and Sylveon. Replacing Sylveon isn't too hard as Florges is very similar to it in bulk and can pull off a CM set pretty well. For CM Florges I recommend a fully defensive spread with a bold nature and perhaps a bit of creep for things that like to creep Florges like Machamp. As for Sableye, that's a bit more tricky to replace since it is basically the only mon of its kind and don't forget that swagger is banned. I think that the best option would be to have Scarf Chandelure in place of Ninetales and remove Sableye. Ninetales in UU is honestly really outclassed in terms of damage output and typing by Chandelure which is immune to both fire and fighting type moves, not to mention that your team is in dire need of a scarfer to check faster threats such as Crobat, especially with its offensive nature.

So now that you have an extra slot available on your team you should really use that to fill your hazard setting/removing needs. A few mons that look like they can do the job are Empoleon, Donphan, or Forretress. Empoleon would give your team some really good resistances to Dragon as well as completing the FWG core with Roserade and Chandy. Donphan on the other hand provides a great Electric weakness and has rapid spin so you won't get rid of your own hazards. Forretress is great as well since it gives you a dragon resist and spins in addition to giving momentum with Volt Switch. Not sure which would really fit the best on your team just by looking at it so I suggest you test each out and see which one you think fits the best.

Now I'm just gonna brush up on some of your sets so they're a bit more optimal for the current meta with a bit of description beneath
Absol @ Absolite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough
It's gen 6, knock off is the best move in the game. Fire blast doesnt really hit anything that i can think of other than forretress. It has 115 speed so yeah max speed is optimal.

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature/Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed/Bullet Punch
- Earthquake/Bullet Punch/Ice Punch
It's an SD set so running a physical fighting move is probably what you want to do. Bone Rush is kinda gimicky since you have to depend on a high amount of hits so EQ replaced that since it always hits (fuck flying types). Also slashed in some other options you can use. BP hits things like Aerodactyl while Ice Punch smacks Gligar.

Roserade @ Black Sludge
Ability: Natural Cure / Technician
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rest/Sleep Powder/HP Fire
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Toxic Spikes/Spikes
Giga Drain is a much more reliable grass move on Roserade than Magical Leaf. It has higher base power and replenishes HP. Sludge Bomb is there so you can threaten Fairies like Florges/Aromatisse which look pretty annoying to your team if Chandy ever goes down.
Now here are the mons that I suggested you add
Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Trick

Florges (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: NaN Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Synthesis
- Aromatherapy

Empoleon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Stealth Rock
- Defog
- Ice Beam/Toxic/Flash Cannon

OR
Donphan @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Knock Off

OR
Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Volt Switch
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Rapid Spin
So yah that's my rate haha, I know it's a lot of changes but I think they'll help you out quite a bit. Good luck with this team in the future!

I use a Mega-Absol on my team, on I've found that investing in HP, DEF allows it to setup more reliably, and sweep. Here's what I use...

Jolly
252 HP // 76 ATK // 180 DEF

Swords Dance
Superpower
Sucker Punch
Play Rough

==xx==

The stats were calculated against most OU threats (that my team has difficulty with). I don't have any math behind it, just trial and error.
It's better used as a mid to late game sweeper, but if you can favorably predict their lead, you can sweep most teams after two SD's.
You trade off some raw power for immense survivability.

Lucario and Absol doesn't need 252 SpA Evs but 252 Speed EVs and a Jolly Nature cause they only run physical attacks.

You should run Stone Edge or Ice Punch instead of EQ on Lucario for a better coverage.

Hope it helped :]
