[OVERVIEW]

Mega Beedrill is one of the fastest Pokemon available, with the strongest U-turn in the tier. This enables it to easily wear down opposing switch-ins such as Melmetal and Rhydon while pivoting to other counterplay to set up a late-game win for itself or a teammate. Mega Beedrill checks and forces out many prevalent threats such as Mew, Mega Gengar, and Alolan Dugtrio. The primary downsides of using Mega Beedrill are its vulnerability to Stealth Rock and its frailty. Keeping Stealth Rock off the field for as long as possible greatly helps its longevity and can prevent it from being picked off by weaker priority from Pokemon such as Dugtrio that it would check at full health. Mega Beedrill will likely rack up Stealth Rock damage due to being forced to switch out against threats that it cannot OHKO and will OHKO it back, which makes the prevention of Stealth Rock all the more important for Mega Beedrill's continued usefulness.

[SET COMMENTS]
Set Information
========

U-turn does heavy damage to Pokemon such as Mew and Starmie as well as respectable damage to switch-ins such as Melmetal and Rhydon to weaken them into KO range of Mega Beedrill's other coverage moves or its teammates' attacks. Poison Jab is Mega Beedrill's second STAB attack, which is important to hit Pokemon that resist U-turn such as Zapdos and Poliwrath. Poison Jab also comes with a chance to poison foes, which can help wear down your opponent's team even more. Drill Run provides excellent coverage to hit Melmetal and Rhydon for solid damage on a predicted switch. It also OHKOes Mega Gengar after Stealth Rock damage and Alolan Dugtrio from full health. Roost is used to heal off Stealth Rock damage on a predicted switch by the opponent while also maintaining Mega Beedrill's ability to pivot with U-turn in the longer run, taking advantage of the switches Mega Beedrill will force as opportunity to heal. Jolly is the nature of choice to outspeed Timid Mega Gengar. 29 HP IVs allow Mega Beedrill to switch into Stealth Rock four times without fainting.

Usage Tips

========

Early-game, attempt to wear down Mega Beedrill's checks with U-turn while gaining momentum for yourself. Beedrill generally shouldn't be brought in on any attack because of its frailty, so another U-turn or Teleport user is ideal to bring it in such as Mew, Zapdos, or Alolan Exeggutor. Try to keep Stealth Rock off the field for as long as possible, as it wears down Beedrill extremely fast because of U-turn bringing it in and out of the field very frequently. Playing aggressively and clicking Drill Run on predicted switches to Melmetal or Rhydon can also pay off if you have another sturdy switch-in to them that you can bring in with U-turn on the next turn, as this wears them down much faster than just spamming U-turn.

Team Options
========

Dragonite is a very potent partner of Mega Beedrill because of its ability to clean late-game after Beedrill wears down Melmetal into range of its Earthquake. Rhydon is the preferred Ground-type to pair with Mega Beedrill because of its ability to take on Mega Aerodactyl as well as consistently set Stealth Rock for Beedrill to take advantage of. Mew is an excellent partner for Beedrill because of its ability to form a U-turn core with it by coming in on common Pokemon such as Poliwrath and Melmetal that had previously switched into Beedrill's U-turn. Mega Beedrill can also help check threats to Mew such as Mega Gyarados and Mega Gengar. Alolan Exeggutor is a good partner for a similar reason to Mew, being able to beat Poliwrath and do heavy damage to Melmetal while potentially making use of Teleport to bring Mega Beedrill right back in or dish out an attack depending on the situation.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

X-Scissor provides a Bug STAB move to use if switching Beedrill out is not optimal. It also does more damage than U-turn and can KO some Pokemon such as Mew from higher HPs.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Melmetal**: While it does not appreciate switching in multiple times, Melmetal does not take much damage from any of Mega Beedrill's attacks and can OHKO back with almost any attack. It can be knocked out by Drill Run if it is weakened, however.

**Stealth Rock**: Stealth Rock severely limits Mega Beedrill's ability to pivot throughout the game and should be kept off the field for as long as possible.

**Mega Aerodactyl**: Mega Aerodactyl can switch into any of Mega Beedrill's moves and outspeed and OHKO it while being able to maintain longevity with Roost.

**Rhydon**: Rhydon does not get 2HKOed by any of Beedrill's moves and can set up Stealth Rock to gradually damage it for the rest of the game.

**Priority**: Beedrill can be picked off at relatively high HP by many priority users such as Alolan Dugtrio and the less common Pikachu-S.

-Strongest U turn in the meta, gains momentum better than any other mon by forcing switches with it
-Faster than all Pokemon except Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Alakazam, and Electrode
-Wears down physically bulky pokemon such as melmetal and rhydon by forcing them in and U-turning on them
-Checks and force out many prevalent pokemon such as mew and Mega Gengar
-Downside are its frailty and weakness to stealth rock

-U-turn does heavy damage or forces out the move itself doesnt force out mew, it's bee that does it and u-turn just contributes Mew, while chipping incoming switches of Melmetal or Rhydon
-Poison Jab is your your = the reader, and the reader does not have STAB attack, so change this other STAB attack which provides coverage for Poliwrath, Zapdos, and Clefable
-Drill run provides excellent coverage wearing down Melmetal and Rhydon, while OHKOing Mega Gengar after Stealth Rock, Alola Dugtrio, and doing heavy damage to other possible switchins such as Nidoqueen
- X scissor provides a bug STAB which doesn't require you to switch which is useful in late game situations with Stealth Rock up preventing you from switching in and out repeatedly, yet still needing a Bug type attack for a threat such as Mew. this bullet is very choppy and doesnt clearly get a point across, see what i said under set info
- Jolly is the nature of choice to outspeed Timid Mega Gengar as well as to speed tie itself. say "opposing mega beedrill" instead of "itself"
-Use 29 HP IVs in order to have an odd HP number which enables you to switch into Stealth Rock 4 times without fainting. while mega beedrill _does_ need 29 HP IVs, it's not as simple as "odd HP". mbee could have 142 hp for example and still be able to switch in because its hp number divided by the amount of hp it loses from rocks (142/4) rounded down would equal 35, which multiplied would be 140, meaning it could still switch in 4 times and still have 2 health after 4 switchins. ik it does have 140 so the ivs do apply but the reasoning you used is wrong so try to reword it

u-turn and x scissor are both used for stab, but i think it would be helpful to reword the bullets for both to more importantly portray that u-turn allows mbee to pivot out of mons it forces in

Usage Tips

Early game attempt to wear down Beedrill checks with U-turn while gaining momentum for yourself. fwiw in the future this should be in bullets until you get 2 qc checks
mention that mbee should try to avoid being statused

Team Options

-Dragonite is a very potent partner of Bee because of its ability to late game clean after Bee wears down Melmetal into range of Dragonite's Earthquake.
-Rhydon is the preferred ground type to pair with Bee because of its ability to take on Mega Aerodactyl as well as consistently set Stealth Rock for Beedrill to abuse.
-Mew is an excellent partner for Beedrill because of its ability to form a U-turn core with it by coming in on common U-turn resists such as Poliwrath and Melmetal that had previously switched into Bee.
-Alolan Exeggutor is a good partner for a similar reason to Mew, being able to beat Poliwrath and do heavy damage to Melmetal while potentially making use of Teleport to bring Bee right back in, or dish off an attack depending on situation.

mention eevee s solely because it's the only chance mbee has of getting rid of any burns or paralysis
this one is up to you but maybe mention arcanine or moltres bc switch into willowisp for it, again your choice

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options

=============

Roost is a niche option to heal off Stealth Rock damage on a predicted switch by the opponent, however it is generally not preferred as it loses the momentum that Beedrill would have gained with a U-turn and takes away a critical moveslot.
outrage is a niche option as well for dragonite and mchar x but mention the former is handled by teammates relatively easily and mchar x can be handled by drill run as well

Checks and Counters

===================

Melmetal- While it does not appreciate switching in multiple times, Melmetal does not take much damage from any of Beedrills attacks and can ohko back with almost any attack.

Mega Aerodactyl- Can switch into any of Beedrill's moves and outspeed and OHKO while being able to maintain longevity with Roost.

Rhydon- Does not get 2HKOd by any of Beedrill's moves and can set up Stealth Rock to damage it for the rest of the game.

Stealth Rock- Stealth Rocks severely limit Beedrill's ability to pivot throughout the game and should be kept off the field for as long as possible.

Priority- Bee can be picked off at relatively high HPs by many priority users such as Alolan Dugtrio and the more rare Pikachu-S mkang picks off weakened mbee

dnite can only be handled by teammates when at +2 speed so it might be worth a mention, if you're able to try to group it in w/ melmetal but rly not necessary since they have different roles

I would much rather see this in OO as I believe it is such a niche option as pivoting is Bee's main selling point. Roost is a niche option to heal off Stealth Rock damage on a predicted switch by the opponent, however it is generally not preferred as it loses the momentum that Beedrill would have gained with a U-turn and takes away a critical moveslot. I kinda disagree, I think the Roost shows its value by actually enabling Bee from performing its role as a pivot. Yes it loses momentum if it aint clicking Uturn, but having the ability to consistently pivot is really important imo, and Bee can usually find ample opportunities to heal due to the switchins it forces.
