[OVERVIEW]

Mega Blastoise's ability to counter some of 1v1's most prominent threats such as Dragonite, Mega Charizard Y, and non-Thunder Punch Mega Metagross makes it a great anti-metagame Pokemon. Mega Launcher is a fantastic ability, since it boosts Mega Blastoise's Aura Sphere and Dragon Pulse by 50%, allowing Mega Blastoise to break through a myriad of threats such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Charizard X. However, Mega Blastoise's mediocre stats force it to focus solely on a particular stat to gain KOs, and this is an issue, as it needs lots of bulk to survive hits but also needs to run a lot of Special Attack and Speed investment along with a Speed-lowering move to defeat foes. Additionally, Mega Blastoise is weak to several Electric- and Grass-types and Pokemon with coverage of either type such as Zeraora, Serperior, Thunder Punch Mega Metagross, and Grass Knot Greninja. Finally, it faces a lot of competition from other, much more viable Water-types such as Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Tapu Fini.

Moves
========

Fake Out allows Mega Blastoise to deal a small amount of chip damage and break Multiscale and Sturdy of Pokemon such as Dragonite, Donphan, and Golem and KO them with the appropriate move depending on the scenario. Hydro Cannon is Mega Blastoise's hardest-hitting STAB move, which is powerful enough to grab KOs against Pokemon that it is super effective against and Pokemon with low Special Defense such as Archeops and Mega Aggron. Rock Tomb is a great way to beat some of 1v1's strongest wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard Y, non-specially defensive Mega Charizard X, and Choice Band Hoopa-U with some residual damage from Fake Out by lowering their Speed and getting them in KO range of Mega Blastoise's other powerful moves. Ice Beam OHKOes some of the most important threats in the metagame such as Dragonite after Fake Out, Zygarde, and Garchomp. Dragon Pulse is an alternative to beat specially defensive Mega Charizard X and allows Mega Blastoise to hit Flyinium Z Gyarados neutrally. Aura Sphere is a decent Mega Launcher-boosted option that lets Mega Blastoise beat common Dark- and Steel-types such as non-Power Whip Ferrothorn, Mega Tyranitar, and almost always non-Timid Magnezone. Dark Pulse can also be run, allowing Mega Blastoise to deal with the many Ghost- and Psychic-types in the tier such as Mega Gengar, Jirachi, and Choice Specs Deoxys-S. Be mindful that Mega Blastoise should always use Dragon Pulse together with Rock Tomb.

Set Details
========

216 HP EVs and 44 Special Defense EVs guarantee that Mega Blastoise always survives one Thunderbolt from Genesect as well as Solar Beam from Mega Charizard Y. The HP investment also allows it to take any move that Landorus-T and Dragonite have to offer. 112 Speed EVs allow Mega Blastoise to outspeed non-Timid Magnezone as well as base 100 Speed Pokemon after a Speed drop from Rock Tomb, such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y. The remaining EVs are dumped into its Special Attack, improving its matchup against other physical Pokemon such as Garchomp. Alternatively, Mega Blastoise can run an EV spread of 224 HP / 68 Def / 96 SpA / 8 SpD / 112 Spe with a Modest nature to gain as much reliability against Choice Band Victini and Mega Heracross as possible while sacrificing the matchup against Genesect.

Usage Tips
========

Fake Out is generally going to be the best initial play against any Pokemon outside Mega Lucario, which can have Inner Focus as its pre-Mega ability; Fake Out allows Mega Blastoise to get small amounts of chip damage and is notable in breaking Multiscale and Sturdy of Pokemon such as Dragonite, Donphan, and Magnezone. Mega Blastoise should use Rock Tomb on Pokemon that are faster than it but cannot initially OHKO it like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Choice Band Hoopa-U to slow them down and eventually beat them with Hydro Cannon. Mega Blastoise is vulnerable to stall Pokemon such as Type: Null, Suicune, and Kee Berry Mew, which can all beat it one-on-one due to taking very little damage from it after lowering its stats or boosting their own stats. When facing Mega Charizard X, first use Fake Out to scout for whether or not it is running bulk. If it is running bulk, use Rock Tomb to slow it down and follow it up with Dragon Pulse. On the other hand, if it isn't bulky, use Hydro Cannon to win.

Team Options
========

Agile allies such as Pheromosa, Naganadel, and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z are key due to their ability to defeat Pokemon like Zeraora, Jumpluff, and Tapu Lele that Mega Blastoise struggles to deal with because of its mediocre Speed tier. In return, Mega Blastoise can defeat bulkier Pokemon such as Dragonite for Jumpluff and Landorus-T for Zeraora and Tapu Lele. Mega Blastoise appreciates having Ground-type partners such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Donphan, which all threaten the common Electric-types in the tier such as Zeraora and Magnezone. In return, Mega Blastoise can deal with opposing Ground-types and Dragonite. Flying-types like Dragonite, Flyinium Z Landorus-T, and Togekiss are great teammates, as they can take down Grass-types such as Serperior, Tapu Bulu, and Mega Venusaur, while Mega Blastoise can defeat opposing Rock-types such as Golem and Carracosta that give them difficulty. Electric-types such as Zeraora and Magnezone are great allies, as they can beat many bulky Water-types that Mega Blastoise struggles against such as Primarina and Tapu Fini. In return, Mega Blastoise can deal with common Ground- and Rock-types such as Golem, Landorus-T, and Garchomp. As Mega Blastoise itself is a Water-type Pokemon, it can be utilized on a standard Fire / Water / Grass core, which has great synergy as a whole. Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Victini, and Volcarona deal with the plethora of Steel- and Grass-types in the tier such as Magearna, Serperior, and Tapu Bulu, while Mega Blastoise can deal with the Ground- and Rock-types they struggle with. Grass-types like Serperior and Mega Venusaur are helpful, as they cover Mega Blastoise's weakness to Electric-types such as Zeraora and Zapdos; in return, Mega Blastoise can help deal with some of the Dragon-, Flying-, and Fire-types in the tier such as Zygarde-C, Mega Charizard Y, and Heatran. Physical wallbreakers such as Mega Heracross, Choice Band Hoopa-U, Incineroar, and Mega Medicham are useful, as they can defeat many of the stall Pokemon in the tier such as Mega Slowbro, Type: Null, and Kee Berry Mew. Mega Blastoise, on the other hand, can deal with some agile Pokemon such as Mega Lopunny, non-Grass Knot Greninja, and Naganadel thanks to its bulk.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Hidden Power Electric in conjunction with Aura Sphere guarantees that Mega Blastoise always beats Mega Gyarados one-on-one. Counter is a good option, allowing Mega Blastoise to overcome many of the strong physical attackers in the metagame such as non-Substitute Mega Metagross and specially defensive Mega Mawile. Mirror Coat is an alternative to Counter, allowing Mega Blastoise to deal with special attackers like Kommo-o and Psychium Z Mew instead. However, be aware that by using Counter or Mirror Coat, Mega Blastoise must sacrifice Fake Out, which is its primary way of dealing with Sturdy Pokemon and Dragonite. Aqua Jet is a safe option if you want to guarantee Mega Blastoise's ability to take care of Sturdy Pokemon that have to use Protect to beat it such as Crustle and Carracosta.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Super Effective Attacks**: Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon such as Zeraora, Serperior, and Tapu Bulu are major threats to Mega Blastoise due their ability to OHKO it with their super effective STAB moves. Furthermore, there are a myriad of Pokemon 1v1 that carry Electric- and Grass-type coverage such as Thunder Punch Metagross and Grass Knot Greninja.

**Stall**: Mega Blastoise is susceptible to stall Pokemon such as Type: Null, Suicune, and Kee Berry Mew, which all take very little damage from it after either lowering its stats or boosting their own to beat it one-on-one.

**Bulky Water-types**: Primarina, Tapu Fini, and Mega Swampert take all of Mega Blastoise's attacks rather easily and can beat it with their respective secondary STAB moves.

**Specially Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Magearna, and Meloetta all have a good Special Defense stat, which makes them capable of taking anything Mega Blastoise has to offer. They can set up on it or are offensive enough to beat it one-on-one. Furthermore, Pokemon like Chansey and Blissey can comfortably soak up any of Mega Blastoise's attacks, heal themselves with Soft-Boiled, and slowly whittle it down with Seismic Toss.

**Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers such as Normalium Z Porygon-Z, Choice Specs Hoopa-U, and Tapu Lele have enough power to overwhelm Mega Blastoise's bulk and OHKO it with their attacks.

[OVERVIEW]

- Mega Blastoise's ability to counter some of 1v1's most prominent threats such as Dragonite, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Gyarados makes it a great anti-meta Pokemon. The main set you listed doesn't even beat these Pokemon, maybe specify or remove?
- Mega Launcher is a fantastic ability boosting Mega Blastoise's aura and pulse moves by 50% allowing it to break through a myriad of threats such as Mega Metagross, Aegislash, and Mega Slowbro. The only aura move that exists is Aura Sphere, so probably would remove this or specify Aura Sphere.
- Fake Out allows it to get past Dragonite's Multiscale and Sturdy Pokemon such as Aggron, Donphan, and Golem.
- Hydro Cannon is Mega Blastoise's hardest-hitting STAB move which is powerful enough to grab KOes against most non-resistant foes. For this line and above, this would probably be placed better in the moves section, as the overview shouldn't go too in-depth into Blastoise's moves.
- However, Mega Blastoise has a mediocre speed-tier leaving it susceptible to being knocked out from powerful super effective attacks and can only rely on its bulk to survive hits.
- Additionally, Mega Blastoise is also weak to several Electric- and Grass-types or Pokemon with coverage to either type such as Zeraora, Serperior, and Grass Knot Greninja.
- Moreover, it faces a lot of competition from Water-types such as Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Tapu Fini who have a better placing within the tier itself and are much more viable.

Moves
========

- Fake Out is one of the most important moves when it comes to this peculiar set as this allows Blastoise to break Sturdy Pokemon and KO them with the appropriate move depending on the scenario.
- Hydro Cannon is the preferred STAB move as when in conjunction with Fake Out KOes most Sturdy Pokemon such as Aggron, Donphan, and Crustle after fake out damage and can also KO other pokemon that doesn't resist its STAB move such as Mega Aggron, Mega Mawile, and Mega Lopunny. In Mega Lopunny's case you'd just Aura Sphere for the OHKO and avoid the chance of being subbed on and having to recharge.
- Dark Pulse is a great coverage move capable of dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types such as non-Amnesia Mega Slowbro, Aegislash, and Jirachi. Mega Blastoise wins versus Aegislash most of the time
- Aura Sphere is a decent Mega Launcher-option allowing it to beat common Dark- and Steel-types such as non-Power WhipGrassium Z Ferrothorn, Mega Tyranitar, and almost guaranteed to beat non-Timid Magnezone.
- Ice Beam OHKOes some of the most important threats in the metagame such as Dragonite, Zygarde-C, and Garchomp.
- Dragon Pulse is an alternative to beat offensive Mega Charizard X and allows it to neutrally hit Gyarados.
- Rock Tomb is a great way to beat some of 1v1's top-tier threats such as Mega Charizard Y and Choice Banded Hoopa-U with some residual damage from Fake Out. I wouldn't say Choice Band Hoopa-U is "top-tier"

Set Details
========

- Alongside Blastoise's HP EVs, its Special Defense investment guarantees that you always beat Mega Charizard Y despite it Flame Charging turn 1, the HP investments also allow you to live any move that Dragonite has to offer and Choice Specs Naganadel. Wait... Shouldn't Mega Blastoise's main move be Rock Tomb then instead of Aura Sphere? I'd recommend making Rock Tomb the main/non switchable move, or moving the set to OO.
- The Speed EVs allows Mega Blastoise to outspeed the base 100 benchmark, Mega Charizard Y and non-Timid Magnezone after Rock Tomb or being faster in general.
- 68 Defense EVs in conjunction with its HP EVs allow Blastoise to survive a Bolt Strike from Choice Banded Victini and beat Pokemon like Mega Heracross, Choice Band Haxorus and Mega Medicham.
- The remaining EVs are dumped onto its Special Attack, improving its matchup against some of the other physical Pokemon in the metagame such as Garchomp and Haxorus.
- Mega Launcher grants Mega Blastoise's Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, and Dragon Pulse a 1.5x Boost.

Usage Tips
========

- Fake Out is generally going to be the best play against any Pokemon, allowing to get small amounts of chip damage and is notable in breaking Sturdy or Multiscale Pokemon such as Dragonite, Donphan, and Magnezone.
- One of the only times Fake Out shouldn't be used is against Ghost-types such as Mega Gengar and Aegislash, instead, if it is running Dark Pulse then it should use that in order to deal with them. Mention Garchomp because the residual damage hurts
- It is also in your best interest to not send Blastoise against powerful Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon such as Zeraora, Serperior, and Kartana as you risk getting OHKOed by these Pokemon.
- You should use Rock Tomb on Pokemon that are faster than Blastoise that cannot initially OHKO it like Mega Charizard Y, Sawk and Choice Band Hoopa-U in order to slow them down and eventually beat them with Hydro Cannon.
- Mega Blastoise is prone to PP-stalling Pokemon such as Type: Null, Suicune, and Kew Berry Mew which can all beat it one-on-one due to taking very little damage from it after either lowering its stats or stat-boosting itself.

Team Options
========
- Agile allies are key in order to patch up Mega Blastoise's lackluster speed such as Zeraora, Naganadel and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z due to their ability to defeat Pokemon like Zeraora, Jumpluff, and Tapu Lele which Mega Blastoise struggles to deal with because of its mediocre speed tier.
- Mega Blastoise appreciates having Ground-type Pokemon such as Landorus-T, Garchomp and Donphan which all threaten the common Electric-types in the tier such as Zeraora and Magnezone.

You are risking losing to many Sturdy Pokemon and Dragonite if you choose to run Mirror Coat which Fake Out would then mitigate the effect of the ability. You already win versus Naganadel with Dragon Pulse, (mentioned above) so no need to put it here.

Better examples would be Charizard-X, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Lopunny.
- However, Mega Blastoise has a mediocre speed-tier leaving it susceptible to being knocked out from powerful super effective attacks and can only rely on its bulk to survive hits. Rather than just Speed, make this bullet about how Blastoise struggles overall with its stats; ie needing a lot of bulk in order to survive most hits and needing a lot of SpA to get the kos it needs to, in addition to having to run Speed.

Moves
========

- Fake Out is one of the most important moves when it comes to this peculiar set as this allows Blastoise to break Sturdy Pokemon and KO them with the appropriate move depending on the scenario.
- Hydro Cannon is Mega Blastoise's hardest-hitting STAB move which is powerful enough to grab KOes against most non-resistant foes not really. All you're beating with it for the most part is things you hit super effectively and the occasional super frail spdef mon. Be sure to clarify that it's best suited for hitting super effectively. such as Mega Aggron and Mega Mawile 96+ SpA Blastoise-Mega Hydro Cannon vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mawile-Mega: 259-306 (85.1 - 100.6%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO not quite, plus spdef exists.
- Rock Tomb is a great way to beat some of 1v1's strongest wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard Y and Choice Banded Hoopa-U with some residual damage from Fake Out.
- Dark Pulse is a great coverage move capable of dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types such as non-Amnesia Mega Slowbro, Mega Gengar, and Jirachi. you need far too much bulk/spa for beating aegi and slowbro, and everything else is unreliable for one reason or another, just drop dark pulse altogether. You can move it to OO if you want, but be sure to mention the fact that it requires spreads differing from the main set in order to beat what you need it to.
- Aura Sphere is a decent Mega Launcher-option allowing it to beat common Dark- and Steel-types such as non-Power Whip Ferrothorn, Mega Tyranitar, and almost guaranteed to beat non-Timid Magnezone. move this below Dragon Pulse to reflect the new order of the moves
- Ice Beam OHKOes some of the most important threats in the metagame such as Dragonite, Zygarde-C, and Garchomp.
- Dragon Pulse is an alternative to beat offensive Mega Charizard X and allows it to neutrally hit Gyarados.
- at the bottom, be sure to add a bullet clarifying that you should only ever run Rock Tomb + Dragon Pulse OR Ice Beam + Aura Sphere as your latter 2 moves, rather than anything in between like Dragon Pulse + Ice Beam or w/e.

"non-Timid Magnezone as well as base 100 Pokemon, such as Mega Charizard." The wording you have makes it sound like you'd be using Tomb for Zone.
- 68 Defense EVs in conjunction with its HP EVs allow Blastoise to survive a Bolt Strike from Choice Banded Victini and beat Pokemon like Mega Heracross, Choice Band Haxorus and Mega Medicham (16.6 - 19.7%) Fake Out (80.2 - 94.6%) HJK not even close-.
- The remaining EVs are dumped onto its Special Attack, improving its matchup against some of the other physical Pokemon in the metagame such as Garchomp ", Charizard-X," and Haxorus.
- Mega Launcher grants Mega Blastoise's Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, and Dragon Pulse a 1.5x Boost.

- It is also in your best interest to not send Blastoise against powerful Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon such as Zeraora, Serperior, and Kartana as you risk getting OHKOed by these Pokemon. more of a checks and counters thing than a usage tip
- You should use Rock Tomb on Pokemon that are faster than Blastoise that cannot initially OHKO it like Mega Charizard Y, Sawk and Choice Band Hoopa-U in order to slow them down and eventually beat them with Hydro Cannon.
- Mega Blastoise is prone to PP-stalling Pokemon such as Type: Null, Suicune, and Kew Berry Mew which can all beat it one-on-one due to taking very little damage from it after either lowering its stats or stat-boosting itself. same as the other one
- include a detailed usage tip about the Charizard matchup; Turn 1 you use Fake Out and then check the damage you dealt to see if the charizard is running bulk; if they're bulky, you follow up with Rock Tomb and KO with Dragon Pulse/Cannon. and if they aren't bulky you go for the KO with dragon pulse/Cannon turn 2 to avoid potentially being KO'd by a +1 Outrage.

- Physical Wallbreakers such as Mega Heracross, Choice Band Hoopa-U and Mega Medicham If you change to the examples I give below, a better example of something that beats them would be Incineroar are useful as they are able to defeat many of the stall Pokemon in the tier such as Suicune, Type: Null, and Kew Berry Mew. What does Blastoise do for them in return? Is Suicune really a noteworthy or relevant 1v1 stall threat above something else like Slowbro or Sableye or w/e?

**Electric-types**: Zeraora and Zapdos both outspeed Blastoise and threaten it with their powerful STAB moves.

**Grass-types**: Venusaur, Serperior and Kartana can either soak up any attack that Blastoise has to offer and stall it out or OHKO it with their respective Grass-type STAB moves.

The two above bullets are best off just being made into "Super effective STABs" and "Stall", with the former being obvious and Stall being a bullet about exclusively stally Pokemon like Type:Null, Slowbro, Venusaur, Mew, Jumpluff, Whimsicott, etc.

**Bulky Water-types**: Primarina, Tapu Fini and Mega Swampert take all of Blastoise's attacks rather easily and can either beat it with their respective STAB moves.

**Specially Defensive "Bulky" Pokemon**: Pokemon like Chansey and Blissey can comfortably soak up any of Blastoise's attacks, heal themselves with Soft-Boiled and slowly whittle it down with Seismic Toss. Chansey and Blissey would be more fitting in the "Stall" bullet I suggested above. Instead, use this bullet to talk about Pokemon that either have considerable special bulk but use offensive sets or use moves like Calm Mind to boost up their bulk; examples include, but are not limited to, Mega Gyarados (if you have to use an OO to beat it, it's a check imo), Magearna, Mega Gardevoir, Meloetta, Aegislash, Kommo-o, etc.

**Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers such as Porygon-Z, Choice Specs Hoopa-U and Tapu Lele have enough power to overthrow Mega Blastoise's bulk and OHKO with either of their attacks.

- When facing an opposing Mega Charizard X or Y, first proceed to Fake Out in order to scout for whether or not the Charizard is running bulk.
- If they are running bulk use Rock Tomb in order to slow them down and follow it up with either Hydro Cannon or Dragon Pulse depending on which Mega Evolution it is.
- On the other hand, if they aren't bulky on Turn 2 use Dragon Pulse or Hydro Cannon depending on the Mega Evolution in order to avoid a potential plus 1 Outrage from Mega Charizard X to KO you.
This should be one big bullet, since they all pertain to the same point, being the zard matchup.
Mega Blastoise can defeat more bulky Pokemon such as Dragonite, Mega Gyarados, and Landorus-T which they struggle with respectively.
The only set that beats gyara is in OO

These are all simple enough changes that I shouldn't need to triple check. 1/3 upon implementation

- Mega Blastoise's ability to counter some of 1v1's most prominent threats such as Dragonite, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Gyarados u state this as a weakness, and you need hp electric to make this guaranteed makes it a great anti-meta Pokemon.
- Mega Launcher is a fantastic ability boosting Mega Blastoise's pulse moves by 50%, allowing it to break through a myriad of threats such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Lopunny.
- However, Mega Blastoise's mediocre stats make it focus solely on a particular stat to gain KOs, and this is an issue as it needs lots of bulk to survive more hits while also notably needing to run a lot of Special Attack and Speed to defeat opposing foes.
- Additionally, Mega Blastoise is too weak to several Electric- and Grass-types or Pokemon with coverage to either type such as Zeraora, Serperior, and Grass Knot Greninja.
- Finally, it faces a lot of competition from Water-types such as Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Tapu Fini who have a better placing within the tier itself and are much more viable.

Moves
========

- Fake Out is one of the essential moves when it comes to this peculiar set as this allows Blastoise to break Sturdy Pokemon such as? and KO them with the appropriate move depending on the scenario.
- Hydro Cannon is Mega Blastoise's hardest-hitting STAB move which is powerful enough to grab KOes against Pokemon that Blastoise's Hydro Cannon is super effective against and frail specially defensive Pokemon such as Mega Aggron,
- Rock Tomb is a great way to beat some of 1v1's strongest wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard Y, specially defensive Mega Charizard X, and Choice Banded Hoopa-U with some residual damage from Fake Out.
- Ice Beam KOes some of the most important threats in the metagame such as Dragonite, Zygarde-C, and Garchomp.
- Dragon Pulse is an alternative to beat offensive specially defensive Mega Charizard X most of the time Hydro Cannon beats offensive char x and allows it to hit Gyarados neutrally. you're referring to flyinium, right? otherwise this wouldn't matter
- Aura Sphere is a decent Mega Launcher-option allowing it to beat typical Dark- and Steel-types such as non-Power Whip Ferrothorn, Mega Tyranitar, you can dragon pulse into dragon pulse into hydro cannon to win and almost guaranteed to beat non-Timid Magnezone.
- When deciding what coverage moves you want to use be mindful that you should use Rock Tomb with Dragon Pulse or Ice Beam with Aura Sphere when deciding what threats you want Mega Blastoise to beat.

Set Details
========

- Alongside Blastoise's HP EVs, its Special Defense investment guarantees that you always beat Mega Charizard Y despite it Flame Charging turn 1, the HP investments also allow you to live any move that Dragonite has to offer and Choice Specs Naganadel.
- The Speed EVs allows Mega Blastoise to outspeed non-Timid Magnezone as well as base 100 Pokemon, such as Mega Charizard, after a Rock Tomb.
- 68 Defense EVs in conjunction with its HP EVs allow Blastoise to survive a Bolt Strike from Choice Banded Victini and beat Pokemon like Mega Heracross and Choice Band Haxorus. okkaayyyyy. So, this does none of this xd CB victini either doesn't kill u at all if jolly or will roll with adamant, same with mega heracross, and you are in no danger at all from choice band haxorus. In fact, if you simply make your hp stat 228 instead of 224 you gain the reliability with char y and 64 extra evs, which can be put into spa to make spdef zard x more reliable. We can talk more about this on discord
- The remaining EVs are dumped onto its Special Attack, improving its matchup against some of the other physical Pokemon in the metagame such as Garchomp, Mega Charizard X, and Haxorus.
- Mega Launcher grants Mega Blastoise's Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, and Dragon Pulse a 1.5x Boost.

Usage Tips
========

- Fake Out is generally going to be the best play against any Pokemon, allowing to get small amounts of chip damage and is notable in breaking Sturdy or Multiscale Pokemon such as Dragonite, Donphan, and Magnezone.
- You should use Rock Tomb on Pokemon that are faster than Blastoise that cannot initially OHKO it like Mega Charizard Y, Sawk and Choice Band Hoopa-U to slow them down and eventually beat them with Hydro Cannon.
- Mega Blastoise is prone to PP-stalling Pokemon such as Type: Null, Suicune, and Kew Berry Mew which can all beat it one-on-one due to taking very little damage from it after either lowering its stats or stat-boosting itself.
- When facing an opposing Mega Charizard X or Y, first proceed to Fake Out to scout for whether or not the Charizard is running bulk. If they are running bulk use Rock Tomb to slow them down and follow it up with either Hydro Cannon or Dragon Pulse depending on which Mega Evolution it is. On the other hand, if they aren't bulky on Turn, 2 use Dragon Pulse or Hydro Cannon depending on the Mega Evolution to avoid a potential plus 1 Outrage from Mega Charizard X to KO you.

Team Options
========
- Agile allies are key to patch up Mega Blastoise's lackluster speed such as Zeraora, Naganadel and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z due to their ability to defeat Pokemon like Zeraora none of those 3 have a particularly good zera matchup, Jumpluff, and Tapu Lele which Mega Blastoise struggles to deal with because of its mediocre speed tier. Mega Blastoise can defeat more bulky Pokemon such as Dragonite and Landorus-T which they struggle with respectively.
- Mega Blastoise appreciates having Ground-type Pokemon such as Landorus-T, Garchomp and Donphan which all threaten the common Electric-types in the tier such as Zeraora and Magnezone. In return, Mega Blastoise can deal with opposing Ground-types and Dragonite, as mentioned earlier.
- Flying-types like Dragonite, Mega Charizard Y, and Flyinium Z Landorus-T as mentioned earlier, are great teammates for Mega Blastoise as they can take down Grass-types such as Serperior Dnite and Lando T and non-flame charge char y suck at beating serperior, consider removing this or adding a diff flying mon, Tapu Bulu and Mega Venusaur. Mega Blastoise, on the other hand, can defeat opposing Rock-types such as Golem and Carracosta, which give the Flying-types mentioned above difficulty.
- Electric-types such as Zeraora and Magnezone are great allies for Blastoise as they can beat many bulky Water-types which Mega Blastoise struggles against such as Primarina and Tapu Fini. In return, Mega Blastoise can deal with the common Ground- and Rock-types within the metagame such as Landorus-T, Golem, and Garchomp.
- Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Victini, and Volcarona deal with the plethora of Grass- and Steel-types in the tier such as Magearna, Serperior and Tapu Bulu while Mega Blastoise can deal with the aforementioned Ground- and Rock-types that all of the Fire-types struggle with.
mention the fire water grass core, which mega blastoise fits nice in with its positive dragon mu
- Physical Wallbreakers such as Mega Heracross, Choice Band Hoopa-U, Incineroar, and Mega Medicham are useful as they can defeat many of the stall Pokemon in the tier such as Mega Slowbro, Type: Null, and Kew Berry Mew. Mega Blastoise, on the other hand, can deal with some of the agile Pokemon within the tier thanks to its bulk such as Mega Lopunny, non-Grass Knot Greninja and Naganadel.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Hidden Power Electric in conjunction with Aura Sphere guarantees that you always beat Mega Gyarados one-on-one.
- Counter is a good option allowing you to overcome many of the strong physical attackers in the metagame such as Choice Band Hoopa-U, u said you beat that with rock tomb non-Substitute Mega Metagross, and Specially Defensive Mega Mawile, however, be aware that by doing this you are sacrificing Fake Out which is Blastoise's primary way of dealing with Sturdy Pokemon and Dragonite respectively.
- Mirror Coat is an alternative to Counter, allowing it to deal with the special side of foes instead like Kommo-o and Genesis Supernova Mew. You are risking losing to many Sturdy Pokemon and Dragonite if you choose to run Mirror Coat which Fake Out would then mitigate the effect of the ability.
- Aqua Jet is a safe option if you want to guarantee to take care of Sturdy Pokemon that have to Protect in order to beat it such as Rockium Z Crustle and Carracosta.
add Dark Pulse

Checks and Counters
===================

**Super Effective STABs**: Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon such as Serperior, Zeraora, and Tapu Bulu are major threats to Mega Blastoise due to threating to OHKO it with their super effective STABs. Furthermore, there are a myriad of Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame which carries Electric-type moves such as Thunder Punch Metagross, Grass Knot Greninja and Choice Specs Meloetta which as a result threaten it also.

**Stall**: Mega Blastoise is prone to PP-stalling Pokemon such as Type: Null, Suicune, and Kew Berry Mew which can all beat it one-on-one due to taking very little damage from it after either lowering its stats or stat-boosting itself. Furthermore, Pokemon like Chansey and Blissey can comfortably soak up any of Blastoise's attacks, heal themselves with Soft-Boiled and slowly whittle it down with Seismic Toss.

**Bulky Water-types**: Primarina, Tapu Fini and Mega Swampert take all of Blastoise's attacks rather easily and can beat it with their respective STAB moves.

**Specially Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Magearna, Aegislash, and Meloetta all have a significant Special Defense stat capable of taking a hit from anything Mega Blastoise has to offer and can set up on it with their stat-boosting moves or are offensive enough to beat it one-on-one.

**Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers such as Porygon-Z, Choice Specs Hoopa-U and Tapu Lele have enough power to overthrow Mega Blastoise's bulk and OHKO with either of their attacks.

Alakazam should be done assuming the set doesn't need to be changed further.
Even if we keep the evs as the main ones you still need to specify that they do not guarantee Blastoise to live what you say it does, concerning Victini and Mega Heracross. Also looking to see if i can find better, more guaranteed ev spread

off (Blastoise-Mega) @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Mega Launcher
EVs: 216 HP / 136 SpA / 44 SpD / 112 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hydro Cannon
- Fake Out
- Rock Tomb / Ice Beam
- Dragon Pulse / Aura Sphere

you should change to this ev spread
reasoning:
216 hp lives a z-Earthquake from Landorus-T and a z-outrage from Dragonite. The 44 spdef lets you beat genesect with fake out + rock tomb + hydro cannon. speed is for base 100s, spa is for better rolls against spdef char x and helps against special dnite / choiced dnite

Poison Adhesive i edited the evs in and did a few adjustments

"deal a small amount of chip damage" added to the description of Fake Out
specified what that last point in the moves section meant, with 'run rock tomb paired with dragon pulse'
removed Sawk in usage tips for Rock Tomb, you just fake out into hydro
remove Char Y from the 'check if you're bulky with fake out' thing, agaist char y u always need to rock tomb into hydro
made Dark Pulse a move mention

Fake Out is one of the essential moves when it comes to this peculiar set as this allows Blastoise to deal a small amount of chip damage and break Multiscale and Sturdy Pokemon (Smh Dragonite doesn't have Sturdy) such as Dragonite, Donphan, and Golem and KO them with the appropriate move depending on the scenario. Hydro Cannon is Mega Blastoise's hardest-hitting STAB move which is powerful enough to grab KOes against Pokemon that Blastoise's Hydro Cannon it (wordy) is super effective against and frail specially defensively frail Pokemon such as Mega Aggron (Makes it sounds like Mega Aggron is specially defensive but overall frail). Rock Tomb is a great way to beat some of 1v1's strongest wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard Y, non-specially defensive Mega Charizard X, (Rock Tomb + Hydro Cannon don't do enough and CMX 2HKOs) and Choice Banded Hoopa-U with some residual damage from Fake Out, by lowering their Speed and getting them in range of Mega Blastoise's other powerful moves. Ice Beam OHKOes some of the most important threats in the metagame such as Dragonite after Fake Out, Zygarde-C, and Garchomp. Dragon Pulse is an alternative to beat specially defensive Mega Charizard X and allows it to hit Flyinium Z Gyarados neutrally. Aura Sphere is a decent Mega Launcher-option allowing it to beat typical Dark- and Steel-types such as non-Power Whip Ferrothorn, Mega Tyranitar, and almost guaranteed to beat non-Timid Magnezone. Dark Pulse can also be run, allowing you to deal with the many Ghost- and Psychic-types in the tier such as Mega Gengar, non-Zen Headbutt Mega Metagross (I'd give a different example because there are many exceptions, like Zen Headbutt and Thunder Punch) and Choice Specs Deoxys-S. When deciding what coverage moves you want to use be mindful that you should always use Dragon Pulse together with Rock Tomb.

Alongside Blastoise's 216 HP EVs, its Special Defense investment of 44 guarantees that you always beat Pokemon like Genesect and Mega Charizard Y. The HP investments also allow you to live any move that Landorus-T and Dragonite has to offer. The 112 Speed EVs allow Mega Blastoise to outspeed non-Timid Magnezone as well as base 100 Pokemon, such as Mega Charizard, after a Rock Tomb, such as Mega Charizard X and Y. (Sounds like it's specific to MZard otherwise) The remaining EVs are dumped onto its Special Attack, improving its matchup against some of the other physical Pokemon in the metagame such as Garchomp, specially defensive Mega Charizard X, (Explained in Moves) and Haxorus (You'd be using Dragon Pulse here if anything, and Ice Beam is a 50/50). Alternatively, Mega Blastoise can run 224 HP / 68 Def / 96 SpA / 8 SpD / 112 Spe with a Modest nature in order to gain as much reliability against Choice Band Victini and Mega Heracross as possible, while sacrificing the matchup against Genesect. Mega Launcher grants Mega Blastoise's Aura Sphere and Dragon Pulse a 1.5x Boost. (Obvious, and you already mentioned this in Overview)

Usage Tips

Fake Out is generally going to be the best play against any Pokemon outside Mega Lucario, due to there being a chance of its ability being Inner Focus, allowing to get small amounts of chip damage and is notable in breaking Sturdy or Multiscale Pokemon such as Dragonite, Donphan, and non-Timid Magnezone. (Consistency) You should use Rock Tomb on Pokemon that are faster than Blastoise that cannot initially OHKO it like Mega Charizard X and Y and Choice Band Hoopa-U to slow them down and eventually beat them with Hydro Cannon. As Mega Blastoise itself is a Water-type Pokemon, it can be utilized on a standard Fire / Water / Grass core which provides great synergy as a whole. Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Victini, and Volcarona deal with the plethora of Grass- and Steel-types in the tier such as Magearna, Serperior, and Tapu Bulu while Mega Blastoise can deal with the Ground- and Rock-types that all of the Fire-types struggle with. Grass-types like Serperior and Mega Venusaur are helpful as they cover Mega Blastoise's weakness to Electric-types such as Zeraora and Zapdos, in return, Mega Blastoise can help deal with some of the Fire-, Flying- and Dragon-types in the tier such as Zygarde-C, Mega Charizard Y, and Heatran. Mega Blastoise, on the other hand, can defeat opposing Rock-types such as Golem and Carracosta (RC) which that give the aforementioned Flying-types mentioned above difficulty. Electric-types such as Zeraora and Magnezone are great allies for Blastoise, (AC) as they can beat many bulky Water-types which that Mega Blastoise struggles against such as Primarina and Tapu Fini. In return, Mega Blastoise can deal with the common Ground- and Rock-types within the metagame such as Landorus-T, Golem, and Garchomp. As Mega Blastoise itself is a Water-type Pokemon, it can be utilized on a standard Fire / Water / Grass core which provides great synergy as a whole. Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X, (AC) and Mega Charizard Y, Victini, and Volcarona deal with the plethora of Grass- and Steel-types in the tier such as Magearna, Serperior, and Tapu Bulu, (AC) while Mega Blastoise can deal with the Ground- and Rock-types that all of the these Fire-types struggle with. Grass-types like Serperior and Mega Venusaur are helpful, (AC) as they cover Mega Blastoise's weakness to Electric-types such as Zeraora and Zapdos, in return, Mega Blastoise can help deal with some of the Fire-, Flying-, (AC) and Dragon-types in the tier such as Zygarde-C, Mega Charizard Y, and Heatran. Physical wallbreakers such as Mega Heracross, Choice Band Hoopa-U, Incineroar, and Mega Medicham are useful, (AC) as they can defeat many of the stall Pokemon in the tier such as Mega Slowbro, Type: Null, and Kew Berry Mew. Mega Blastoise, on the other hand, can deal with some of the agile Pokemon within the tier thanks to its bulk (moved) such as Mega Lopunny, non-Grass Knot Greninja, and Naganadel thanks to its bulk.

Hidden Power Electric in conjunction with Aura Sphere guarantees that you Mega Blastoise always beats Mega Gyarados one-on-one. Counter is a good option, (AC) allowing you Mega Blastoise to overcome many of the strong physical attackers in the metagame such as non-Substitute Mega Metagross (RC) and specially defensive Mega Mawile, however, be aware that by doing this you are sacrificing Fake Out which is Blastoise's primary way of dealing with Sturdy Pokemon and Dragonite respectively (moved). Mirror Coat is an alternative to Counter, allowing it to deal with the special side of foes instead special attackers like Kommo-o and Genesis Supernova Psychium Z Mew instead. You are risking losing to many Sturdy Pokemon and Dragonite if you choose to run Mirror Coat which Fake Out would then mitigate the effect of the ability. (repeats earlier sentence that was moved here) However, be aware that by using Counter or Mirror Coat, Mega Blastoise must sacrifice Fake Out, which is its primary way of dealing with Sturdy Pokemon and Dragonite. Aqua Jet is a safe option if you want to guarantee Mega Blastoise's ability to take care of Sturdy Pokemon that have to use Protect in order to beat it such as Crustle and Carracosta.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Super Effective STABs Attacks (you mention mons with electric/grass coverage, which do not get stab from electric/grass)**: Electric- and Grass-type Pokemon such as Serperior, Zeraora, and Tapu Bulu are major threats to Mega Blastoise due to threatening (typo) to OHKO it with their super effective STABs STAB moves. Furthermore, there are a myriad of Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame which carry Electric- and Grass-type coverage such as Thunder Punch Metagross and Grass Knot Greninja.

**Stall**: Mega Blastoise is prone to PP-stalling stall Pokemon such as Type: Null, Suicune, and Kew Berry Mew, (AC) which can all beat it one-on-one due to taking very little damage from it after either lowering its stats or stat-boosting itself themselves. Furthermore, Pokemon like Chansey and Blissey can comfortably soak up any of Mega Blastoise's attacks, heal themselves with Soft-Boiled, (AC) and slowly whittle it down with Seismic Toss. (should these two not go in the "specially bulky pokemon" section?)

**Bulky Water-types**: Primarina, Tapu Fini, and Mega Swampert take all of Mega Blastoise's attacks rather easily and can beat it with their respective secondary STAB moves.

**Specially Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Magearna, and Meloetta all have a significant Special Defense stat, (AC) which makes them capable of taking a hit from anything Mega Blastoise has to offer. (AP) and They can set up on it with their stat-boosting moves or are offensive enough to beat it one-on-one.

**Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers such as Breakneck Blitz Normalium Z Porygon-Z, Choice Specs Hoopa-U, and Tapu Lele have enough power to overthrow overwhelm Mega Blastoise's bulk and OHKO it with either of their attacks.

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Blastoise's ability to counter some of 1v1's most prominent threats such as Dragonite, Mega Charizard Y, and non-Thunder Punch Mega Metagross makes it a great anti-metagame Pokemon. Mega Launcher is a fantastic ability, (AC) since it boosts Mega Blastoise's pulse moves by 50%, namely Aura Sphere and Dragon Pulse by 50%, allowing Mega Blastoise to break through a myriad of threats such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Lopunny and Mega Charizard X. However, Mega Blastoise's mediocre stats force it to focus solely on a particular stat to gain KOs, and this is an issue, as it needs lots of bulk to survive more hits (RC) but also needs to run a lot of Special Attack and Speed investment along with a Speed-lowering move to defeat foes. Additionally, Mega Blastoise is weak to several Electric- and Grass-types and Pokemon with coverage of either type such as Zeraora, Serperior, Thunder Punch Mega Metagross, and Grass Knot Greninja. Finally, it faces a lot of competition from other, much more viable Water-types such as Mega Gyarados, Greninja, and Tapu Fini that are much more viable.

Moves
========

Fake Out is one of the essential moves when it comes to this set, as it allows Mega Blastoise to deal a small amount of chip damage and break Multiscale and Sturdy of Pokemon such as Dragonite, Donphan, and Golem and KO them with the appropriate move depending on the scenario. Aura Sphere is a decent Mega Launcher-boosted option allowing that allows Mega Blastoise to beat common Dark- and Steel-types such as non-Power Whip Ferrothorn, Mega Tyranitar, and almost always non-Timid Magnezone. Dark Pulse can also be run, allowing it Mega Blastoise to deal with the many Ghost- and Psychic-types in the tier such as Mega Gengar, Jirachi, and Choice Specs Deoxys-S. Be mindful that Mega Blastoise should always use Dragon Pulse together with Rock Tomb.

216 HP EVs and 44 Special Defense EVs guarantees that Mega Blastoise always lives 1 survives one Thunderbolt from Genesect as well as Solar Beam from Mega Charizard Y. The HP investments investment also allows it to live take any move that Landorus-T and Dragonite have to offer. 112 Speed EVs allow Mega Blastoise to outspeed non-Timid Magnezone as well as base 100 Speed Pokemon after a Speed drop from Rock Tomb such as Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y. The remaining EVs are dumped into its Special Attack, improving its matchup against other physical Pokemon in the metagame such as Garchomp. Alternatively, Mega Blastoise can run an EV spread of 224 HP / 68 Def / 96 SpA / 8 SpD / 112 Spe with a Modest nature in order to gain as much reliability against Choice Band Victini and Mega Heracross as possible while sacrificing the matchup against Genesect.

Usage Tips
========

Fake Out is generally going to be the best initial play against any Pokemon outside Mega Lucario, due to there being a chance of which can have Inner Focus as its pre-Mega ability being Inner Focus; Fake Out allows Mega Blastoise to get small amounts of chip damage and is notable in breaking Multiscale and Sturdy of Pokemon such as Dragonite, Donphan, and Magnezone. Mega Blastoise should use Rock Tomb on Pokemon that are faster than it but cannot initially OHKO it like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Choice Band Hoopa-U to slow them down and eventually beat them with Hydro Cannon. Mega Blastoise is prone vulnerable to stall Pokemon such as Type: Null, Suicune, and Kew Kee Berry Mew, which can all beat it one-on-one due to taking very little damage from it after either lowering its stats or stat-boosting themselves boosting their own stats. When facing Mega Charizard X, first proceed to use Fake Out to scout for whether or not Charizard it is running bulk. If it is running bulk, use Rock Tomb to slow it down and follow it up with Dragon Pulse. On the other hand, if it isn't bulky, then Mega Blastoise can use Hydro Cannon after Fake Out to win.

(if i'm reading properly that respectively separates it into subsets of allies? still not sure what it refers to though) Mega Blastoise appreciates having Ground-type partners such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Donphan, which all threaten the common Electric-types in the tier such as Zeraora and Magnezone.
