1v1 Mega Lopunny [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Lopunny's high Attack and Speed stats allow it to outspeed and OHKO many Pokemon, such as Jumpluff, Mega Gardevoir, and Landorus-T, with strong moves such as Fake Out + STAB Giga Impact and High Jump Kick. It also has access to utility moves like Substitute and Encore that make use of its high Speed to break status move users such as Ferrothorn and Type: Null as well as coverage moves like Ice Punch to hit 4x weak Pokemon like Landorus and non-Protect Dragonite. Its ability in Scrappy allows it to hit Pokemon like Mega Sableye, non-Choice Scarf Blacephalon, and non-Flash Cannon Aegislash. However, while Mega Lopunny has great Speed and offensive power, its defensive qualities are lacking. Its poor bulk allows Choice Scarf Pokemon like Darmanitan, Porygon-Z, and Haxorus to simply outspeed and OHKO it. It also has no reliable way of boosting its stats, and its offensive moves lack in type coverage.

Moves
======
Fake Out allows Mega Lopunny to land a flinch on the opposing Pokemon and deal additional damage, bypassing abilities such as Sturdy from Pokemon like Golem, Carracosta, and Magnezone and Multiscale from Dragonite as long as they do not run Protect. Fake Out also gets Pokemon like Mega Sableye in KO range. Giga Impact is Mega Lopunny's strongest attacking move. Its high attacking power mixed with Fake Out's chip damage allows it to reliably KO top-tier Pokemon like Mega Pinsir, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Gardevoir. High Jump Kick is another powerful STAB move that can hit Rock- and Steel-types that resist Giga Impact super effectively, like Magnezone, Heatran, and Mega Tyranitar. Encore uses Mega Lopunny's high Speed to effectively lock opposing stall or setup Pokemon like Type: Null and Kee Berry Mew into a status move, allowing it to attack freely. Ice Punch allows Mega Lopunny to hit Pokemon like Dragonite, Garchomp, and Landorus, which are often present in the higher tiers of the metagame, super effectively. Substitute also functions well alongside Encore; at the cost of either Giga Impact or High Jump Kick, it can provide better support against Pokemon like Flash Cannon Aegislash. Thunder Punch is another coverage option that allows Mega Lopunny to hit Gyarados before Mega Evolution 4x super effectively and will get it in range of a High Jump Kick if it does Mega Evolve.

Set Details
========
Maximum Speed investment with a Jolly nature allows Mega Lopunny to outspeed all Pokemon with a base Speed lower than 135, which includes Pokemon like Greninja, Jumpluff, and Kartana, common fast 1v1 threats. Maximum Attack investment lets it take out as many foes as possible. The 4 Defense EVs are leftovers and serve no relevant purpose, only to marginally boost its Defense.

Usage Tips
========
Fake Out is almost always the best option turn one, unless the foe has the ability Inner Focus or Steadfast. Then, use either Giga Impact or High Jump Kick depending on the foe's typing; if it can survive a Giga Impact, such as Tapu Fini, you can use High Jump Kick to put it in KO range of Giga Impact. Aegislash is a tricky matchup thanks to King's Shield. Against non-Flash Cannon Aegislash, you can use Giga Impact, Fake Out, or the 4th coverage move until Aegislash runs out of King's Shield PP and then KO it with High Jump Kicks. In order to beat Flash Cannon Aegislash, however, you will need to run both Substitute and Encore. If Pokemon like Kee Berry Mew use status moves, you can outspeed them and lock them into the status move with Encore during the next turn; if the opposing Pokemon has Prankster or uses a priority status move, use it during the same turn. Thunder Punch can be used to beat Mega Gyarados, as regular Gyarados's Intimidate heavily cripples Mega Lopunny's offense, preventing the KO from Fake Out followed by Giga Impact. If you're carrying Thunder Punch, the play is to use Thunder Punch turn 2, after Fake Out. If Gyarados doesn't Mega Evolve, expecting a High Jump Kick, Thunder Punch followed by another Thunder Punch will KO it regardless if it Mega Evolves on the second Thunder Punch. If it does Mega Evolve on the first Thunder Punch, use High Jump Kick afterwards.

Team Options
==========
When teambuilding with Mega Lopunny, you'd want to include bulky Fairy-type Pokemon like Clefable and Tapu Lele, which can beat physically bulky Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Kommo-o, and Primarina and bring great complementary coverage. In return, Mega Lopunny provides good coverage for Steel-type Pokemon such as Magnezone and Heatran, which threaten these Fairy-types. It is always preferable to bring hard-hitting Pokemon like Aegislash and Blacephalon that are able to beat bulky offense Pokemon like Mega Metagross and Magearna. Mega Lopunny also helps in return by covering Sturdy Pokemon like Magneton and Golem and strong specially defensive Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y. The last good way to support Mega Lopunny is through stall Pokemon such as Whimsicott and Illumise that can beat Pokemon that outspeed Mega Lopunny, such as Zeraora, or have way too much bulk for Lopunny to deal with such as Mega Slowbro.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============
Mega Lopunny can also decide to use Substitute alongside Flail, using its high Speed to set up Substitutes until it reaches 1% HP and use a 200-Base Power Flail. This option, while sacrificing a coverage move, allows it to more easily take down Pokemon like bulky non-Flame Charge Mega Charizard X, Mega Blastoise, and Choice Specs Necrozma. You can also opt to give up the Jolly nature for an Adamant one, which sacrifices the matchup against Timid Greninja to instead beat offensive Landorus-T with Fake Out followed by Ice Punch.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Protect Users**: Sturdy or Multiscale Pokemon like Dragonite, Magnezone, and Sawk can use Protect turn one on Mega Lopunny's Fake Out, allowing them to use their ability to take a hit and OHKO back with a strong neutral or super effective move. Yawn + Protect Pokemon like Mega Blastoise and Mega Swampert can also tank a hit from Mega Lopunny and put it to sleep, KOing it in the following turns.

**Faster Pokemon**: Moderately fast Choice Scarf users like Porygon-Z, Haxorus, and Tapu Lele and faster Pokemon in general like maximum Speed Zeraora and Deoxys-S can outspeed Mega Lopunny and OHKO it.

**Bulky Offense**: Sets that are able to tank a hit and set up or OHKO back generally have the upper hand against Mega Lopunny. Examples are Magearna, Mega Metagross, Zygarde, Kommo-o, Mega Gyarados, and Mega Charizard X.

  • Good start, now, you want to format your analysis exactly like how this post has it: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...ons-read-before-posting.3588426/#post-7113521 Particularly the header for each section, as well as the formatting for the sets.
  • You also want to make your analysis into bullet points, like these, for the time being (paragraphs come once you've gotten your 2nd QC check).
  • You only need one section for Checks and Counters at the very bottom.
  • You also need an Other Options section (which you also only need one of).
  • Your Credits section also needs to be formatted like this:

Okay, but since one set is vulnerable to some things while the second one to others, how am I supposed to merge the two checks and counters paragraphs?

For Checks and Counters, you only bring up threats that handle all or most Lopunny sets, ie Slowbro-Mega, Magearna, Zygarde, Metagross, etc.

  • Its abiliy Scrappy allows Normal-type and Fighting-type moves to hit Ghost-type Pokemon, thus allowing it to hit Ghost/Dark type Pokemon supereffectively. This sum of feats makes it very powerful in the 1v1 metagame. redundant wording. Also name some Pokemon that it helps to have Scrappy for.

Moves
======

  • Fake Out allows it to hit turn 1 dealing additional damage, and also bypassing abilities such as Multiscale/Sturdy. Name some examples that Fake Out helps to break down, just naming Multiscale and Sturdy is not enough.
  • Giga Impact and Each move gets 1 bullet. Make sure to mention things that Giga Impact is useful for over something like Return in its bullet. High Jump Kick are 2 powerful STAB moves that can ohko the opposing Pokemon. High Jump Kick's fighting type can hit supereffectively Rock-types and Steel-types that otherwise resist Giga Impact, like Magnezone, Aegislash, Genesect.
  • Ice Punch allows it to hit 4x supereffectively Pokemon like Dragonite, Garchomp, Zygarde Zygarde bulks the hit and either Coils or KOs, often present in the higher tiers of the metagame.
  • Thunder Punch lets it hit supereffectively Water-type and Flying-type Pokemon which don't go down with a single Giga Impact, like (Pre-Mega) Gyarados (which might not mega evolve to resist a High Jump Kick), Primarina and Celesteela Giga Impact and HJK hit these two harder than Thunder Punch would.
  • Encore uses Lopunny's high speed to effectively lock opposing Pokemon like Whimsicott and Mega Slowbro While you do win against Slowbro that don't attack t1, Scalding t1 just wins, thus rendering the point moot. into a status move, allowing it to attack freely.
Set Details
========

  • The 216 Speed EVs allow it to outspeed most things relevant to the meta, like Mega Metagross and Jumpluff. You need to either hit a specific Speed Benchmark or run full/no speed. This speed underspeeds base 115 by 1 point and wastes points outspeeding Serperior by more than 1 point.
  • The 40 HP EVs are leftovers that allow it to bulk attacks from some Pokemon that it doesn't ohko. Name some Pokemon that it would need this extra bulk for. (Also probably make this 32 HP so you can get the extra speed for base 115s
  • 252 Attack EVs Adamant nature give it maximum attack to take out as many things as possible. Name some things that it needs so much power to beat. Why run Adamant over Jolly?
Usage Tips
========

  • Fake Out turn one and then hit with a Giga Impact or a HJK if they resist normal type.
  • If they use status moves you can outspeed and lock them into the status move with Encore during the next turn (if the opponent has prankster or uses a priority status move use it during the same turn). Give some examples in which Encore would be a helpful move to use
  • Against Pokemon 4x weak to either electric or ice you should use the 4th coverage move. Obviously. You should instead make this a section about how Gyarados will often opt to not Mega evolve immediately in order to not be hit super effectively by HJK, hence why Thunder Punch is a helpful move.
  • If the opposing pokemon is likely to use Counter or Metal Burst, it is a good idea to weaken them up with thecoverage move before KOing with Giga Impact or HJK. Name some Pokemon that use these moves that Lopunny can actually beat
Team Options
==========

  • When teambuilding with Mega Lopunny, you should include at least one other special attacking pokemon, to beat defensively bulky Pokemon or Pokemon that use Counter. Way too vague. Provide direct examples of X Pokemon that benefit Lopunny, as well as what Lopunny does to benefit X Pokemon.
  • It is always preferable to bring a Pokemon that's able to beat Magearna or Mega Metagross and other Pokemon with dual typing that aren't damaged enough by either 2 attacking moves. Same deal as above
  • Other options include: Pokemon that use taunt to best pokemon with status moves; Fast Pokemon that rely on sleep or leech seed stall to beat bulky sets. Same deal as above
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============

Sub-Flail
Lopunny-Mega
Move 1: Fake Out / Encore
Move 2: Flail
Move 3: Substitute
Move 4: High Jump Kick
Item: Loppunite
Ability: Scrappy
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
whoa whoa whoa, are you trying to do a second [SET] or Other Options here? I'll admit I glazed over this big error when first checking, oof- but yeah, if you intend on making another [SET] out of this, then do that, with another Moves, Set Details, Usage Tips, and Team Options section dedicated to it. If it's going to Other Options, then you need to compress the entire set down to a single bullet point.

  • Lopunny uses its high speed to set up a substitute 4 times and let it live with 1% damage, allowing Flail to raise to 200 attack power, effectively 33% stronger than Giga Impact. If you keep SubFlail as a [SET], then name some examples it would need the increased power on Flail for over Giga Impact.
  • Encore helps some matchups locking opponents like Whimsicott or Mega Slowbro into a status move.
  • Since Lopunny will most often be at 1% hp, it needs no bulk investment, so we can put all the leftover EVs in Speed. Why Jolly over Adamant? Name some things that the increased Speed would help for.
  • The increase in power lets us change the Adamant nature in Jolly, allowing us to outspeed as many other Pokemon as possible (which is crucial for this set). Basically the same point as the above bullet.
  • All of these to be removed if the SubFlail set is moved to Other Options.
Checks and Counters
===================
  • Sturdy most Pokemon that use Protect are Sturdies/Dnite anyways, though Yawntect users also beat Lop, so maybe include those Protect: Sturdy/Multiscale Pokemon like Dragonite, Magnezone, Sawk can Protect turn one on the Fake Out, allowing them to use their ability to resist a hit and ohko back with a strong neutral or super-effective move.
  • Choice Scarf change to "Faster Pokemon" if you're going to bring up Zeraora and Deo-S: Moderately fast Scarf sets like Porygon-Z, Garchomp and Tapu Lele (and faster Pokemon in general, like Zeraora and Deoxys-Speed) can outspeed mLopunny and ohko it.
  • High Defense: Sets that are able to tank a hit and set-up/counter generally have the upper hand. Examples are Mega Slowbro and Mega Swampert. While Swampert does apply here, there are many more relevant Pokemon you should use here, like Magearna, Metagross, Zygarde, and Mew. If you're running a stall set be careful, because the opposing Lopunny might run Encore.
  • Endure: Endure sets (especially with Custap berry) can tank a hit and generally ko on the recharge turn. Name some Pokemon that use Custap/Endure sets that threaten Lopunny.

Definitely a few issues with defining the purpose of sets, as well as an overall lack of examples everywhere. When you feel like you've done a sufficient job implementing these, let me know and I'll look it all over once again. After that, if it's good, I'll give you your 1/3.

Feel free to look at other analyses done here to get an idea of how to go about writing. I think my own analysis on Dragonite (which has yet to get any QCs >n>) can serve as a good example of how you should go about structuring your points (link)

This was a command, not what to actually put in, omg-
The 180 Speed EVs allow it to outspeed all base 110 speed Pokemon, like Jumpluff, Kartana and Modest Greninja.
"all base 110 speed Pokemon like Jumpluff and Metagross-Mega, as well as slower Pokemon in general like Kartana and Modest Greninja."
your current wording makes it sound like Kartana and Greninja are also 110.
The 76 HP EVs are leftovers that allow it to bulk attacks like 252+ Meteor Mash from Metagross more reliably, allowing it to 2hko freely.
Clarify non-Impish and without Bullet Punch here. Also, unless the HP actually helps for some special hit, move it to Defense and include that it helps you live a +1 Gyarados-Mega Waterfall/Outrage
252 Attack EVs Adamant nature give it maximum attack to take out as many things as possible. Adamant nature over Jolly allows it to kill Pokemon like Charizard-Mega-X more reliably, while sacrficing very few Speed matchups.
Clarify poorly bulked Charizard here (max HP still has good rolls to live Fake Out + Giga).
It is always preferable to bring Pokemon like Aegislash and Blacephalon, that are able to beat Magearna or Mega Metagross and other Pokemon with dual typing that aren't damaged enough by either 2 attacking moves.
What does Lopunny do in return for these two?
Pokemon that use taunt to best pokemon with status moves; Fast Pokemon that rely on sleep or stall to beat bulky sets. Both deals can be found in Pokemon like Whimsicott, Tapu Bulu or Deoxys-Speed.
What does Lopunny do in return for these three?

Once you do all that (and do it right), that'll be qc 1/3

Moves
======
  • Fake Out allows it to hit turn 1 Mega Lopunny to move first, thanks to Fake Out's priority, flinching the opponent and dealing additional damage, and also bypassing abilities such as Sturdy from pokemon like Golem, Donphan and Magnezone, and Multiscale from Dragonite, so long as they do not run Protect. Mention that it gets Pokemon in range of your other moves, like Lando-T, etc
  • Where is Giga Impact? What does it do?
  • High Jump Kick is a are 2 powerful STAB moves that can ohko the opposing Pokemon. Any move can potentially OHKO an opposing Pokemon, given the right matchup. High Jump Kick's fighting type can hit supereffectively Rock-types and Steel-types that otherwise resist Giga Impact, like Magnezone, Aegislash again, unsure if this is a reliable matchup, Genesect.You do not hit Genesect super effectively, and currently specs flash cannon will OHKO you before u can beat it bc u have evs in defense.
  • Ice Punch allows it to hit 4x supereffectively Pokemon like Dragonite, Garchomp and both Landorus forms, often present in the higher tiers of the metagame.
  • Thunder Punch lets it hit supereffectively Water-type and Flying-type Pokemon which don't go down with a single Giga Impact, like (Pre-Mega) Gyarados. Anything else? Probs should only be a move mention if it's only for mgyara
  • Encore uses Lopunny's high speed to effectively lock opposing Pokemon like Whimsicott they run Moonblast, so its a 50/50 and Kee Berry Mew into a status move, allowing it to attack freely.
  • Include Substitute as a move here, its very useful when used alongside encore, at the cost of either Giga or HJK
Set Details
========
  • The 180 Speed EVs allow it to outspeed all base 110 speed Pokemon like Jumpluff and Metagross-Mega, you don't beat Metagross-Mega nearly reliably enough to include it as an example as well as slower Pokemon in general like Kartana and Modest Greninja.
  • The 76 Defense EVs are leftovers that allow it to bulk attacks like 252+ Meteor Mash from Metagross more reliably you either tank it or you don't. Also, you really don't; Meteor into BP beats you, allowing it to 2hko a non-Impish variant. This would be a better example if it only ran Meteor Mash, but it also supplements it with Bullet Punch, Zen Headbutt, and Hammer Arm, which Lop can't take It also tanks a +1 Gyarados-Mega non-Adamant Waterfall/Outrage. Non adamant doesn't exist. Its

    | Other 50.950% probably going to be on like, 10-20% of all spreads out there. Also, if that was your intent, you'd only need 28 EVs in HP.
  • What does 76 Defense EVs actually do? if it has no point, put it into speed until you meet a new speed tier, and then the rest into hp.
  • 252 Attack EVs Adamant nature give it maximum attack to take out as many things as possible. Adamant nature over Jolly allows it to kill Pokemon like non-bulky Charizard-Mega-X more reliably, 252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Fake Out vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Charizard-Mega-X: 63-75 (21.2 - 25.2%) -- 0% chance to 4HKO and 252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Giga Impact vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Charizard-Mega-X: 232-274 (78.1 - 92.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO Jolly beats non bulky Mega Char X (99.9 is the smallest roll). Adamant doesn't even beat Spdef Mega Char X reliably, and certainly not physdef char x. while sacrficing very few Speed matchups. You're going to need much more than this to justify losing to Greninja, Naganadel, Raikou, Mega Gengar, Mega Lucario, etc.
It doesn't really look like there's a point to running Adamant at all. Just like, provide relevant mons that you absolutely need adamant to beat. If you cannot, probs switch to Jolly.

Usage Tips
========
  • Fake Out turn one and then hit with a Giga Impact or a HJK if they resist normal type. No lol. What if you giga and they're still alive? What if Ice Punch or Thunder Punch is better? This just needs to be fleshed out.
  • Talk about the aegislash matchup and how to guarantee it
  • talk about mgyara matchup too
  • If they use status moves you can outspeed and lock them into the status move with Encore during the next turn (if the opponent has prankster or uses a priority status move use it during the same turn). Examples include: Whimsicott, Ferrothorn not a very good matchup. If they attack, you're basically 2hkoed, Volcarona. you straight up ohko with adamant or jolly fake out into giga
  • Definitely find better Encore examples that aren't just 50/50s in disguise or don't need encorue
  • Gyarados might often opt not to mega evolve to avoid getting hit super effectively by High Jump Kick, so using Thunde Punch is the preferrable option. What does this mean? What do you do? Spam Tpunch while it DDances? Do a step by step process.
  • Bulky Pokemon like Swampert-Mega and Aggron-mega lop loses to aggron might decide to tank a hit and use moves like Counter or Metal Burst, so it is a good idea to weaken them up with the coverage move before hitting them with the stab moves. What if they choose to attack? is this the right play? will you still beat them? If not, its just a 50/50
Team Options
==========
  • When teambuilding with Mega Lopunny, you'd want to include Pokemon like Magearna and Tapu Lele, whch can beat physically bulky Pokemon and give it great typing coverage such as?. Lopunny also provides good coverage for steel-type Pokemon such as?, which threaten these 2.
  • It is always preferable to bring Pokemon like Aegislash and Blacephalon, that are able to beat Magearna or Mega Metagross and other Pokemon with dual typing that aren't damaged enough by either 2 attacking moves. Try to stay away from listing Pokemon that beat specific other Pokemon; instead, try to make it an archetype, like "bulky Steels" or something like that Lopunny also helps in return, by covering well against fast fire types like Infernape there must be a better example than this and steel types like Aggron-Mega, Lop loses to aggron which aren't damaged enough by those two
  • Pokemon that use taunt to best pokemon with status moves; Fast Pokemon that rely on sleep or stall to beat bulky sets. nani. What does this mean. Both deals can be found in Pokemon like Whimsicott, Tapu Bulu or stall Deoxys-Speed. Lopunny helps Whimsicott and Bulu by outspeeding and taking out things that could potentially ohko them such as?. Deoxys-Speed gets with Lopunny what it lacks in offensive power. Lopunny lack offensive power? You haven't mentioned that at all. Which mons does Deo S beat?
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============
  • Lopunny can also decide to use its high speed and set up Substitutes, until it reaches 1% hp, and use Flail, which gets 200 base power at that point; This option, while sacrificing a coverage move, allows it to more easily take down Pokemon like bulky non-Flame Charge Charizard-Mega-X and Gyarados-Mega. not really. -1 252+ Atk Lopunny-Mega Fake Out vs. 248 HP / 40 Def Gyarados-Mega: 45-54 (11.4 - 13.7%) -- possible 8HKO -1 252+ Atk Lopunny-Mega Flail (200 BP) vs. 248 HP / 40 Def Gyarados-Mega: 222-262 (56.4 - 66.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • You can also opt to give up the Adamant nature and the HP investment for a more Speed-centered build, that would allow it to outspeed Gengar-Mega, Greninja, +1 Adamant Gyarados-Mega and speed tie other Mega Lopunny.
Checks and Counters
===================
  • Protect: Sturdy/Multiscale Pokemon like Dragonite, Magnezone, Sawk can Protect turn one on the Fake Out, allowing them to use their ability to resist a hit and ohko back with a strong neutral or super-effective move. Yawn + Protect Pokemon like Blastoise-Mega and Stunfisk better examples, don't use non VR mons as examples can also tank a hit from Lopunny and have it go to sleep, KOing it in the successive turns. Can't you Encore Protect?
  • Faster Pokemon: Moderately fast Scarf sets like Porygon-Z, Garchomp and Tapu Lele (and faster Pokemon in general, like Zeraora and Deoxys-Speed) can outspeed mLopunny and ohko it.
  • How about Pokemon that can tank hits and raise their speed past Mega Lopunny's? Like Char x, Gyara,
  • High Defense: Sets that are able to tank a hit and set-up/counter generally have the upper hand. Examples are Mega Slowbro, Magearna, Metagross, Zygarde, and Mew. If you're running a stall set be careful, because the opposing Lopunny might run Encore. Wait, can Encore beat these Pokemon?
  • Endure: Endure sets (especially with Custap berry) like Porygon-Z, can tank a hit and generally ko on the next turn. Riolu also uses Custap Berry, but it beats Lopunny-Mega in a different way What way? How will the reader know anything about the matchup? Also, encore beats Endure users, and endure is always a 50/50, only a true answer against choice users

So, right off the bat, I'm going to suggest you check out some of the grammar standards for posts on Smogon, which you can find here:
https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/spelling-and-grammar-standards.3588427/ You're going to have to change them eventually, and it would be better to get it out of the way.

So, this analysis needs a lot of work, not gonna lie. There are lots of questionable choices in EVs and examples of POkemon that you beat, alongside lackluster explanations of how moves and matchups work in the metagame. I highlighted most of them but I couldn't afford to fix all of them.

After you implement this, tag me so i can review this again.

yeah sorry, I've been busy these days. And this particular step, everything you've told me is the opposite of what osra told me to do, so I'm a bit dazzled on how to fix it
I'll talk to her about it. btw i was wrong about Genesect.You do not hit Genesect super effectively, and currently specs flash cannon will OHKO you before u can beat it bc u have evs in defense.
I forgot that you have more spdef when you start out.

The Official Glyx

Banned deucer.
My initial goal with my QC was to make the analysis look like an analysis. In hindsight, I probably should've done a 2nd qc myself in order to make sure there weren't too many outright wrong details.

The most noteworthy things that I see right now are that:
  • the overview needs expanding upon
  • There's not really a solid reason to run Adamant over Jolly
  • certain bad examples need to be dropped
    • Donphan lives FakePact
    • Landorus isn't relevant (and Therian can bulk Ice Punch)
    • bulking Metagross isn't relevant if you only have it listed as a check/counter
    • there isn't really much point specifying non-bulky zardx if Jolly also kills it (and few people only run some HP investment)
    • you have no business using encore vs volcarona since they outspeed you after a quiver dance
  • the gyarados usage tip either needs to be dropped (since currently it's basically the same as the description in Moves) or expanded upon
  • Other Options can be expanded upon with things like Low Sweep, Endure, maybe even Mirror Coat
  • basically everything in Team Options needs to be expanded upon
  • And the writing needs a bigtime overhaul, everywhere

2nd Part of the qc, I
[OVERVIEW]

  • Mega Lopunny has very high attack and speed stats, which allow it to outspeed and ohko many Pokemon (for example Jumpluff, Meloetta and Landorus-T) with strong moves such as Fake out STAB Giga Impact and or High Jump Kick.
  • It has access to utility moves like Substitute, that make use of its high speed to break status move users. such as?
  • Where's Encore? add it alongside the substitute point
  • It can also use coverage moves like Ice Punch to hit 4x effectively Pokemon like Zygarde I don't think you win, they just Coil and Z move after they turn to 100%, Landorus This is true for Landorus Incarnate, not therian, to be clear, cause they ev to live fake out into ice punch and non-Protect Dragonite
  • Its abiliy Scrappy allows Normal-type and Fighting-type moves to hit Ghost-type Pokemon, thus allowing it to hit Pokemon like Mega Sableye and Blacephalon either say non-Choice Scarf Blacephalon or switch back to non-Flash Cannon Aegislash, bc you can beat Aegislash.
  • While Mega Lopunny has great speed and offensive power, it lacks on the defensive side. Its poor bulk makes it so that most Pokemon with a Choice Scarf can simply outspeed and ohko it. such as? It also has no reliable way of boosting its stats, and it's movepool is lackluster. Not really. It has perfect coverage Fake Out and Sub Encore. Doesn't rlly need much in the place of moves
[SET]

Name: Hyper Offense

Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
======
  • Fake Out allows Mega Lopunny to move first, thanks to Fake Out's priority, flinching the opponent and dealing additional damage, and also bypassing abilities such as Sturdy from pokemon like Golem, Donphan Donphan lives Fake out plus giga and Magnezone, and Multiscale from Dragonite, so long as they do not run Protect. Fake Out also gets Pokemon like Landorus-T This mu doesn't work now when you're jolly, and only works against offensive lando with Adamant. You can include this mon in an Adamant OO and Mega Sableye in killing range.
  • Giga Impact is Mega Lopunny's strongest attacking move. It's the go-to option against every pokemon that doesn't resist it. Not entirely true, it should be used to finish off an opponent once it is in range. It's high attack power mixed to Fake Out's chip damage allows it to reliably kill high tier pokemon like Meloetta, too bulky Mega Charizard Y and Mega Gardevoir. Also, this is how all examples should be formatted
  • High Jump Kick is another powerful STAB move. High Jump Kick's fighting type can hit supereffectively Rock-types and Steel-types that otherwise resist Giga Impact, like Magnezone, Heatran and Mega Tyranitar.
  • Ice Punch allows it to hit 4x supereffectively Pokemon like Dragonite, Garchomp and both Landorus forms, often present in the higher tiers of the metagame.
  • Thunder Punch is also a coverage option, which allows you to hit Adamant Mega Gyarados (who might decide not to Mega Evolve to avoid being hit by a High Jump Kick super effectively) before Mega Evolution 4x effectively, and will get Mega Gyarados in range of a High Jump Kick if they do Mega Evolve. Move this as the last bullet point.
  • Encore uses Mega Lopunny's high speed to effectively lock opposing stall or setup Pokemon like Type: Null and Kee Berry Mew into a status move, allowing it to attack freely.
  • Substitute also performs well alongside Encore. At the cost of either Giga Impact or High Jump Kick it can provide better support against Pokemon like Mega Venusaur: if they try to use Sleep Powder / Leech Seed / Charm, you can simply set up a substitute, and encore them into the aforementioned move. Since Mega Venu can just choose to Sludge Bomb spam and 2hko, a better example would be Flash Cannon Aegislash
Set Details
========
  • The 252 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature allow it to outspeed all Pokemon with a base speed lower than 135, effectively getting outsped by only 4 Pokemon commonly found in the meta (Deoxys-S, Pheromosa, Mega Alakazam and Zeraora). Not really needed, also assumes the metagame is stagnant. This Speed tier allows it to beat Pokemon like Greninja, Jumpluff and Kartana, common fast 1v1 threats.
  • 252 Attack EVs give it maximum attack to take out as many things as possible. The Adamant nature over Jolly doesn't offer very much reliability at the cost of valuable matchups, and the simple 252 Attack still beats not needed beating high tier threats such as Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, Meloetta.
  • Mention that 4 Def EVs is leftover and only serves to marginally boost defense. Important in 1v1 analysis bc everything is so heaviliy optimized.
Usage Tips
========
  • Mention more general matchup tips. Fake out turn one almost always, use HJK or Giga impact depending on which is stronger, or use HJK to get Pokemon like bulky Tapu Fini in range of a Giga Impact, stuff like that.
  • Aegislash is a tricky matchup. Its move King's Shield allows him to reduce your attack by two stages, while protecting himself in the process. Most Aegislash users will decide to use King's Shield turn one to halve your attack during the fake out, you can prevent this from happening by using one of the status moves (either Substitute or Encore) during the first turn, reducing his odds of landing a second King's Shield by 66%. You don't need to predict anything/use status moves against Aegislash. Most Aegislash users also use a double ghost attacking move set, so they will not be able to hit you. Against non-Flash Cannon Aegislash, In that case, you can use Giga Impact, Fake Out or the 4th coverage move until Aegislash runs out of King's Shield pp, then kill it with High Jump Kicks. Mention that in order to beat Flash Cannon, you need to run Sub Encore.
  • Adamant Mega Gyarados' Intimidate heavily cripples your offense, and this doesn't allow you to ohko it with Giga Impact. It's secondary type before mega evolving is flying, which resists Fighting type, as opposed to Dark. The opposing Mega Gyarados might decide not to mega evolve in that case, and you can hit it with a 4x super effective Thunder Punch. If they decide to Mega Evolve after they Dragon Dance you will most likely still outspeed, so you can hit them with a High Jump Kick. If they Mega Evolve on your Thunder Punch, this will not matter, as the Thunder Punch will still put Mega Gyarados in range of a High Jump Kick.
  • If they use status moves you can outspeed and lock them Kee Berry Mew into the status move with Encore during the next turn (if the opponent has prankster or uses a priority status move use it during the same turn). Examples include: Mega Gyarados, Kee Berry Mew, Mega Slowbro. Mega Gyarados wins if it Waterfalls on your encore, and Slowbro wins by spamming scald
Team Options
==========
  • When teambuilding with Mega Lopunny, you'd want to include Pokemon bulky Fairy-type Pokemon like Magearna and Tapu Lele, which can beat physically bulky Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Kommo-o and Primarina, and give it great typing coverage. Mega Lopunny also provides good coverage for steel-type Pokemon such as Magnezone and Heatran, which threaten these 2.
  • It is always preferable to bring hyper offense Pokemon like Aegislash and Blacephalon, that are able to beat bulky Steel types like Mega Metagross and Magearna. Mega Lopunny also helps in return, by covering well against Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan and Golem, and strong specially defensive Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y.
  • Stall Pokemon to beat Pokemon that outspeed Lopunny (i.e. Zeraora) or that have way too high bulk (i.e. Mega Slowbro) for Lopunny to deal with personally. Pokemon like Whimsicott and FEAR Aron fear aron beats none of those examples should do the trick.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============
  • Mega Lopunny can also decide to use Substitute alongside Flail, using its high speed and to set up Substitutes, until it reaches 1% hp, and use Flail, which gets 200 base power at that point; This option, while sacrificing a coverage move, allows it to more easily take down Pokemon like bulky non-Flame Charge Charizard-Mega-X and Mega Blastoise. its a roll.
  • You can also opt to give up the Jolly nature for an Adamant one, which would sacrifice the matchup against Timid Greninja to instead beat Tapu Lele roll and Choice Specs Genesect. You beat genesect with jolly, I was wrong before. Say offensive Landorus-T as an example
Checks and Counters
===================
Format them like:

  • **Protect**: Reasoning
  • **Faster Pokemon**: Reasoning

  • Protect: Sturdy/Multiscale Pokemon like Dragonite, Magnezone, Sawk can Protect turn one on the Fake Out, allowing them to use their ability to resist a hit and ohko back with a strong neutral or super-effective move. Yawn + Protect Pokemon like Blastoise-Mega and Mega Swampert can also tank a hit from Mega Lopunny and have it go to sleep, KOing it in the successive turns.
  • Faster Pokemon: Moderately fast Scarf sets like Porygon-Z, Garchomp and Tapu Lele (and faster Pokemon in general, like max Speed Zeraora and Deoxys-Speed) can outspeed mLopunny and ohko it.
  • Include "Bulky Offense", Pokemon like bulky tapu lele, Kommo-o, and Meloetta, that all have enough bulk to tank Mega Lopunny's hits and OHKO back.
  • Speed Set-up: Pokemon like Mega Gyarados and Mega Charizard X can generally tank a Giga Impact and use Dragon Dance to outspeed Mega Lopunny and kill it.
  • High Defense: Sets that are able to tank a hit and set-up/counter generally have the upper hand. Examples are Mega Slowbro, Magearna, Mega Metagross, Zygarde, and Mew. Most of these mons belong in Bulky Offense, which is more encompassing

Mmk, so glad that you added examples, but you should know that they should be formatted in complete sentences. Like, "Sets that are able to tank a hit and set-up/counter generally have the upper hand. Examples are Mega Slowbro, Magearna, Metagross, Zygarde, and Mew." would be better as "Sets that are able to tank a hit and set-up/counter, such as Mega Slowbro, Magearna, Metagross, Zygarde, and Mew, generally have the upper hand" would be better. I underlined each instance of this.

Also, replace every bad example with a better one.

After this, qc 2/3

Fake Out allows Mega Lopunny to move first, thanks to Fake Out's priority, flinching the opponent and dealing additional damage, and also bypassing abilities such as Sturdy from pokemon like Golem, Carracosta and Magnezone, and Multiscale from Dragonite, so long as they do not run Protect. Fake Out also gets Pokemon like Mega Sableye in killing range. Giga Impact is Mega Lopunny's strongest attacking move. Once a Pokemon has low enough HP, you should finish it using said move. It's high attack power mixed to Fake Out's chip damage allows it to reliably kill high tier pokemon like Mega Pinsir, Mega Charizard Y and Mega Gardevoir. High Jump Kick is another powerful STAB move. Usage Tips
========
Fake Out is almost always the best option turn one, unless the user has either the ability Inner Focus or Steadfast. Use either Giga Impact or High Jump Kick depending on the opponent's typing; if the user can resist(survive) a Giga Impact, for example Tapu Fini, you can use High Jump Kick to put them in killing range of Giga Impact. Aegislash is a tricky matchup. Its move King's Shield allows him to reduce your attack by two stages, while protecting himself in the process. Against non-Flash Cannon Aegislash, you can use Giga Impact, Fake Out or the 4th coverage move until Aegislash runs out of King's Shield pp, then kill it with High Jump Kicks. If they decide to Mega Evolve after they Dragon Dance you can hit them with a High Jump Kick. If they Mega Evolve on your Thunder Punch, this will not matter, as the Thunder Punch will still put Mega Gyarados in range of a High Jump Kick. (you kind of already mentioned this before. Thunder punch isnt part of your main set so i dont think you should mention it here.) If Pokemon like Kee Berry Mew use status moves you can outspeed them and lock them into the status move with Encore during the next turn (if the opponent has prankster or uses a priority status move use it during the same turn).

Team Options
==========
When teambuilding with Mega Lopunny, you'd want to include bulky Fairy-type Pokemon like Clefable (because it deals with Zard X unlike Magearna) Magearna and Tapu Lele, which can beat physically bulky Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Kommo-o and Primarina, and give it great typing coverage. Mega Lopunny also provides good coverage for steel-type Pokemon such as Magnezone and Heatran, which threaten these Fairy-types 2. It is always preferable to bring hyper offense Pokemon like Aegislash and Blacephalon, that are able to beat bulky Steel types like Mega Metagross and Magearna. (this sentence is bad. Aegislash is more bulky offense than hyper offense. Also you are now mentioning pokemon that beat Steel types, whereas in the previous sentence you say that Lopunny beats Steel types. I get that there are different kind of Steel-type pokemon but new users reading this would easily get confused.) Mega Lopunny also helps in return, by covering well against Sturdy Pokemon like Magneton and Golem, and strong specially defensive Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y. The last good asset to support Mega Lopunny are stall Pokemon that can beat Pokemon that outspeed Lopunny, such as Zeraora, or that have way too high bulk for Lopunny to deal with personally, for example Mega Slowbro. Pokemon like Whimsicott and Illumise should do the trick.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

=============
Mega Lopunny can also decide to use Substitute alongside Flail, using its high speed to set up Substitutes, until it reaches 1% hp, and use Flail, which gets 200 base power at that point; This option, while sacrificing a coverage move, allows it to more easily take down Pokemon like bulky non-Flame Charge Mega Charizard X and Donphan (not a great choice. Donphan has Ice Shard which finishes you off when you sub down to 1%). You can also opt to give up the Jolly nature for an Adamant one, which would sacrifice the matchup against Timid Greninja to instead beat offensive Landorus-T with Fake Out followed by Ice Punch.

Speed Set-up: Pokemon like Mega Gyarados and Mega Charizard X can generally tank a Giga Impact and use Dragon Dance to outspeed Mega Lopunny and kill it. OHKO it. (I think you can merge this point with the point below, because Mega Gyarados and Mega Charizard are both bulky offensive pokemon.)
Bulky Offense: Sets that are able to tank a hit and set-up/OHKO back generally have the upper hand. Examples are Magearna, Mega Metagross, Zygarde and Kommo-o

Most of it doesn't look too bad. There's a lot of grammar issues but i can't deal with that. some issues with choice of examples that don't accurately reflect what you want them to.

so should I add that back in or just mention give it a slight mention?
Add back:
“Thunder Punch can be used to beat Mega Gyarados. Mega Gyarados' Intimidate heavily cripples your offense, and this doesn't allow you to ohko it with Fake Out into Giga Impact. So, if you’re carrying Thunder Punch, the play is to use Thunder Punch Turn two, after Fake Out. If they don’t mega evolve expecting a High Jump Kick, Thunder Punch followed up by another Thunder Punch will KO Gyarados regardless if they Mega evolve on the second Thunder Punch. If they Mega Evolve on your first Thunder Punch, use High Jump Kick afterwards, and you’ll get the KO.”
Put this at the very end
