Introduction

This is a bulky offense team built around Mega Medicham and Ash-Greninja. The VoltTurn core of Rotowm-W, Magearna, and Choice Scarf Landorus-T allows you to get in Mega Medicham in safely and break the opponent's defensive core while paving the way for Ash-Greninja to clean late-game. In conjunction with defense Kommo-o, the VoltTurn core further blanket checks many common threats such as Kartana, opposing Ash-Greninja, and Heatran while giving the team momentum.

Mega Medicham is the team's dedicated wallbreaker. Telepathy is used to make Ditto less strong before Medicham Mega Evolves. This Medicham runs the standard four moves, but on this team, an Adamant nature is preferred over Jolly to pressure Pokemon such as Mega Sableye better after Spikes damage as well as always OHKO Magearna and 2HKO Calm Mind Clefable. When playing with Mega Medicham, make aggressive plays, as High Jump Kick is a safe option if the other team lacks a Ghost-type and does insane damage even to Pokemon that resist it.

Electrium Z Rotom is this team's check to Pokemon such as Toxapex and Celesteela as well as a Volt Switch pivot to bring in Pokemon such as Mega Medicham and Ash-Greninja. The Speed is to outrun Pokemon such as Gliscor and Heatran while the HP and Special Attack allow Rotom-W to check Pokemon such as Mega Swampert and OHKO Celesteela and the aforementioned Toxapex. In addition to being the team's pivot, Rotom-W can also help Pokemon such as Ash-Greninja and Scarf Landorus clean late-game with a Gigavolt Havoc on a Pokemon that is a switch-in to its attacks it such as Ferrothorn or Tangrowth.

One of the most consistent Pokemon in the tier, Landorus is this team's Choice Scarf user and is the main answer to faster foes. Earthquake is this set's main STAB option, while U-turn provides momentum. Explosion allows Landorus-T to take on dangerous setup sweepers such as Kommo-o. It is also capable of being an emergency check to Hawlucha if Hawlucha is not in the range of Ash-Greninja's Water Shuriken or Mega Medicham's Fake Out. With its Speed tier Landorus-T is also able to pull off an emergency Defog on many prominent threats such as Swords Dance Kartana, Rockium Z Garchomp, and Tornadus-T.

Ash-Greninja is one of the most threatening Pokemon in the tier and serves as this team's main wincon in most games. Ash-Greninja revenge kills most of the tier with its speed, boosted STAB attacks, and Water Shuriken. Once Mega Medicham breaks a few holes, Ash-Greninja can clean up the opposing team. The combination of its powerful STAB attacks Hydro Pump and Dark Pulse pressures the opponents team heavily, while Water Shuriken picks off weakened targets. Spikes helps the team by weakening the checks of other Pokemon, such as Mega Sableye for Mega Medicham.

Magearna serves more of a defensive role such as checking Tapu Lele and Mega Alakazam for this team. Heart Swap helps Magearna check many Pokemon that threaten this team such as Mega Latias, Magearna, Reuniclus, Tapu Lele, and Mega Alakazam. Pain Split gives it recovery, while Volt Switch provides momentum. Flash Cannon hits Tapu Lele and opposing Magearna while being a reliable STAB option.

EVs: 252 HP / 188 SpD / 68 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Close Combat
- Toxic
- Protect

The team's Stealth Rock setter and main Water- and Grass-type answer. Kommo-o can check a plethora of threats such as Kartana, Ash-Greninja, Volcarona, and Heatran. The bulk lets Kommo-o take attacks from foes like Mega Lopunny and OHKO them in return with Close Combat. Toxic allows Kommo-o to nail the tier's Flying-type Pokemon that resist its Fighting STAB attacks such as Landorus-T and Tornadus-T. The Special Defense investment enables Kommo-o to take on Pokemon such as Volcarona with ease.

Threatlist
Reuniclus- You have defensive counterplay to Reuniclus, but teams with it can be hard to break. Ash-Greninja can maybe pave the way for Rotom-W or itself late-game.

Celesteela- With no Grass-type or Magic Guard Pokemon on this team, Leech Seed can become annoying to outplay. However, Magearna has lowered IVs to underspeed Celesteela and get in a teammate such as Rotom-W unscathed, which can check it with Thunder and Gigavolt Havoc. Ash-Greninja and Medicham can also pressure it somewhat.

Serperior- A massive threat to this team, Serperior can become almost impossible to check or revenge kill if Kommo-o gets too weakened. Fake Out from Mega Medicham is one way to check it.
