[OVERVIEW]

Mega Mewtwo Y is one of the best Pokemon in the Balanced Hackmons metagame thanks in part to its unparalleled Special Attack, which helps it hit extremely hard with its STAB moves, and its great base Speed, which helps it outspeed nearly the entire Balanced Hackmons metagame, allowing it to threaten out many slower attackers. Mega Mewtwo Y also has very good Attack, meaning that it can effectively use mixed sets. However, Its Psychic-type STAB moves hit no common Pokemon super effectively save for Mega Gengar, and they are resisted by common Dark- and Steel-types such as Yveltal, Mega Tyranitar, and Registeel. Because of this, it relies on non-STAB coverage moves to beat many common threats. Additionally, the presence of Flash Fire Steel-types in the metagame hinders the viability of Mega Mewtwo Y sets that rely on Fire-type coverage. Mega Mewtwo Y's Psychic typing and relatively low Defense cause it to take lots of damage from moves commonly seen on defensive Pokemon, like U-turn, Spectral Thief, and Knock Off. Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar and Yveltal can also switch in on Mega Mewtwo Y's Psychic-type moves and deal lots of damage with Pursuit.

Moves
========

Psycho Boost is Mega Mewtwo Y's strongest attack, and thanks to Contrary it raises Mega Mewtwo Y's Special Attack by two stages. Fleur Cannon provides coverage for Dark-types like Yveltal and Mega Tyranitar, OHKOing them at +2 unless they have Unaware. Pixie Plate Judgment, although it is weaker than Fleur Cannon and doesn't have the benefit of raising Mega Mewtwo Y's Special Attack, allows this set to be easily imposter-proofed with Dark-types like Unaware Mega Gyarados and Sand Stream Mega Tyranitar. Overheat hits Steel-types like Registeel, preventing them from walling Mega Mewtwo Y. Magma Storm KOs Sturdy Shedinja by trapping it and hits Steel-types hard, but it's somewhat weak and inaccurate. Additionally, it doesn't boost Mega Mewtwo Y's stats. V-create raises Mega Mewtwo Y's defenses and Speed, making it harder to revenge kill, but it doesn't use Special Attack boosts from Mega Mewtwo Y's other attacks, meaning that it can miss KOs on Steel-types and get forced out by Spectral Thief. Moongeist Beam hits Psychic-types and Sturdy Shedinja, and it can also beat unresistant Unaware users like Primal Kyogre after Mega Mewtwo Y has accumulated enough boosts. Encore helps give Mega Mewtwo Y setup opportunities by locking the foe into a useless move like Shore Up, and also prevents Prankster Destiny Bond users from taking Mega Mewtwo Y down with them. However, it makes Mega Mewtwo Y much harder to imposter-proof. Lovely Kiss has a chance to give Mega Mewtwo Y free turns by putting the foe to sleep. It is used over Spore because it ignores Safety Goggles and Grass-types' natural immunity.

Set Details
========

A Speed-increasing nature is used on Mega Mewtwo Y to outspeed as many foes as possible, preventing Pokemon like Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Gengar from revenge killing it. Contrary turns Fleur Cannon, Psycho Boost, and Overheat into high-powered moves that also help Mega Mewtwo Y snowball, instead of one-time nukes. Life Orb helps Mega Mewtwo Y get key OHKOs and 2HKOs it wouldn't otherwise, such as against RegenVest Primal Kyogre. Focus Sash is used so Mega Mewtwo Y can stop Shell Smash sweepers as a last resort. It also helps Mega Mewtwo Y survive a single attack from Imposter Chansey and hit it back in return with Moongeist Beam. Pixie Plate changes Judgment into a Fairy-type attack, although it stays Normal-type when used by opposing Imposter users unless they too carry a Plate. This allows Mega Mewtwo Y to be easily Imposter-proofed with a Dark-type. Wide Lens can be used to increase Mega Mewtwo Y's consistency by reducing the chances that its moves will miss, but this item loses out on the benefits of Mega Mewtwo Y's other potential items.

Usage Tips
========

To maximize Mega Mewtwo Y's chances of sweeping, conceal its set by not using it early-game. If possible, bring Mega Mewtwo Y in against a foe that gets KO'd by one of its attacks, so it can begin sweeping without first taking damage. Unless Choice Specs is used, there is little prediction involved in attacking with Mega Mewtwo Y. Even if the opponent switches their Pokemon into a resisted move, Mega Mewtwo Y can usually KO them on the next turn thanks to its Special Attack boost. Imposter users are the biggest obstacle to Mega Mewtwo Y's sweep, so try to wear them down before sending it in.

Team Options
========

Counterplay to Imposter users is necessary to prevent them from sweeping. On defensive teams, sturdy Unaware users like Muk-Alola, Chansey, and Ho-Oh work well; on offensive teams, Pokemon with Prankster Destiny Bond or Focus Sash, like Shell Smash Yveltal and Prankster Kartana, work well. Focus Sash Spore Contrary Mega Sceptile can break past the foes that would normally stop Mega Mewtwo Y, like Prankster Destiny Bond and Imposter. It can also imposter-proof Mega Mewtwo Y, and take advantage of the holes it creates to sweep. Poison Heal users like Regigigas and Xerneas synthesize well with Mega Mewtwo Y, because it can put foes to sleep, providing Mega Mewtwo Y with free setup opportunities.

Moves
========

When boosted by Sheer Force, Psychic is able to 2HKO most unresistant walls. Moonblast provides coverage against Dark-types and hits miscellaneous targets harder, cleanly OHKOing Mega Mewtwo X and 2HKOing Assault Vest Giratina. Bug Buzz hits less targets than Moonblast and misses out on hitting Yveltal, but it has the benefit of easily 2HKOing Cresselia and opposing Mega Mewtwo Y and OHKOing Mega Slowbro. Additionally, it does lots of damage to other Dark-types and Imposter. Focus Blast hits Fur Coat Chansey, Steel-types, and Dark-types hard, and OHKOs Mega Tyranitar, but its low accuracy holds it back. Ice Beam hits Yveltal and Dragon-types like Giratina, and cleanly OHKOs Zygarde-C variants without Assault Vest. However, it necessitates the use of Bolt Strike to hit Mega Gyarados and RegenVest Primal Kyogre. Earth Power 2HKOs most Steel-types, but misses out on Celesteela. It also has a chance to OHKO Red Orb Groudon. Blue Flare hits all common Steel-types super effectively, unless they have the Flash Fire ability. V-create is stronger than Blue Flare with a chance to OHKO RegenVest Solgaleo, but it lowers Mega Mewtwo Y's defensive stats and Speed; additionally, it causes it to take recoil damage from Life Orb. Bolt Strike is used for foes like Flash Fire Celesteela and RegenVest Primal Kyogre, cleanly OHKOing both. It also does significant damage to foes lacking physical bulk such as Chansey sets without Fur Coat. Moongeist Beam hits Psychic-types and Sturdy Shedinja, but its lack of a secondary effect makes it weaker than Mega Mewtwo Y's other attacks.

Set Details
========

The Sheer Force ability is used to give most of Mega Mewtwo Y's attacks a 30% boost while removing their secondary effects. This adds much-needed power to its coverage moves while not locking it into an attack. A Life Orb further boosts these attacks by 30%, and its recoil is mitigated on moves with secondary effects thanks to Sheer Force. If any physical moves are used, Naive is the preferred ability because it doesn't leave Mega Mewtwo Y more vulnerable to physical moves like U-turn and Spectral Thief. If no physical moves are used, Timid keeps Mega Mewtwo Y's defenses high while lowering its unused Attack.

Usage Tips
========

Bring Mega Mewtwo Y in by slow pivoting on Pokemon that can't threaten it much, like Primal Kyogre, Mega Audino, and Celesteela. Once Mega Mewtwo Y is in play, break the opposing team with its powerful attacks. Watch out for Prankster Destiny Bond users such as Registeel, because these Pokemon are often the only thing that can potentially stop Mega Mewtwo Y from breaking the entire opposing team.

Team Options
========

Pokemon like Volt Absorb Celesteela, Fur Coat Chansey, and Levitate Registeel can imposter-proof this set depending on the moves chosen. Utility Pokemon like RegenVest Primal Kyogre and Mega Tyranitar can pivot in Mega Mewtwo Y safely. Hazard setters like Red Orb Groudon help Mega Mewtwo Y by taking care of Sturdy Shedinja and helping Mega Mewtwo Y beat foes with Focus Sash. The chip damage on miscellaneous foes can also help Mega Mewtwo Y get KOs it would otherwise miss. Mold Breaker Pursuit users like Secret Sword Mega Gengar can eliminate Sturdy Shedinja, allowing Mega Mewtwo Y to take on these teams without being hard walled for the whole game.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A Choice Specs set with Tinted Lens or Adaptability can work out well thanks to Mega Mewtwo Y's incredible Special Attack and arsenal of powerful STAB moves, but its offensive typing holds it back. Imposter users can switch in because they resist its STAB moves, Dark- and Steel-types are very common, and very few common Pokemon are hit super effectively by Psychic. Mega Mewtwo Y can use 0 Defense EVs and IVs along with a negative nature to allow a Dark-type to deal tons of damage to Imposter Chansey with Pursuit. However, the reduced bulk can be problematic against foes like RegenVest Giratina. Tail Glow is an option on the Sheer Force set that allows Mega Mewtwo Y to OHKO even very bulky Pokemon or those with beneficial typing, like Yveltal and Chansey, with its attacks. However, great care has to be taken to imposter-proof such sets, and the lack of a fourth attack restricts Mega Mewtwo Y's coverage. Choice Specs Mega Mewtwo Y can use utility moves like Revelation Dance to hit Normalize Gengar and Knock Off to remove items like Eviolite and Assault Vest if needed, but these take up precious moveslots and are inconsistent. Future Sight Mega Mewtwo Y can help other wallbreakers beat Pokemon that would normally wall them by effectively hitting twice in one turn, and it's more powerful when used with Adaptability. However, Mega Mewtwo Y can't viably use it with Choice Specs, and the lack of initial power is bad for it. A Shell Smash set can serve as a decent sweeper with Moongeist Beam, a coverage move, and Psystrike or Stored Power, but it fails to break common Prankster Haze users and is extremely vulnerable to Spectral Thief. Sets that take advantage of Mega Mewtwo Y's decent defenses and high Speed, like RegenVest, are viable, but they tend to face competition from bulkier Pokemon.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Although most Mega Mewtwo Y sets carry coverage for these Pokemon, they still serve as decent checks. Pokemon like Yveltal and Sand Stream Mega Tyranitar can switch into a predicted Psychic-type move, withstand a single coverage move, and deal massive damage with Knock Off or trap Mega Mewtwo Y with Pursuit.

**Steel-types**: Common Pokemon like Registeel, Solgaleo, and Celesteela carry a resistance to Mega Mewtwo Y's STAB moves, and they often use Flash Fire, so Fire-type coverage isn't a reliable stop to them.

**Prankster Users**: Prankster Pokemon like Registeel can cripple Mega Mewtwo Y with Glare or remove it with Destiny Bond. They can also shut down the Shell Smash set with Haze.

**RegenVest Users**: Pokemon like Yveltal, Primal Kyogre, and Solgaleo can take a hit from Choice Specs Mega Mewtwo Y and force it out, and any damage they take is negated over time thanks to Regenerator. However, they struggle against Knock Off and Sheer Force variants.

**Imposter Chansey**: Thanks to Mega Mewtwo Y's naturally high Special Defense and Psychic resistance, Imposter Chansey can switch in a few times against Mega Mewtwo Y. However, it's put in a bad spot if it switches in on Shell Smash.

**Faster Pokemon**: Although they are uncommon, offensive Pokemon that outspeed Mega Mewtwo Y are solid checks to it. Contrary Mega Sceptile with Spore or Focus Sash can 2HKO Mega Mewtwo Y with its STAB moves, while Mega Beedrill and Pheromosa deal huge amounts of damage with U-turn or Megahorn.

**Priority Users**: -ate FakeSpeed users like Mega Rayquaza and Mega Diancie can threaten to KO Mega Mewtwo Y before it even moves, and Prankster users like Registeel can cripple it with moves like Glare or remove it with Destiny Bond. However, Dazzling variants are immune to priority altogether.

I think I'll have a time to look over this too.

Overview should cover Mega Mewtwo Y's Special Attack generally narrowing its counterplay options. Psychic-STAB isn't very impressive but Mega Mewtwo Y is just good at finding its way through bs-ing through resists with brute force or other coverage. This is possible with 194 Special Attack stat. This brute force logic is sort of similar logic to how Facade Regigigas can break through anything that isn't called Giratina / Zygarde-C / Magic Bounce or FC Steel etc (MMY doesn't use sleep though). When talking about Mega Metwtwo Y's frailty, you might want to emphasize on prevalence of -ate users. They limit usefulness of any MMY set that isn't dedicated to use anti-priority abilities. In general, there should be more mentions about how MMY is a hard mon to generally deal with its versatility and unpredictability.

Choice Specs Adaptability can have ability: Psychic Surge to Adaptability.

When talking about Psycho Boost in specs adapt set, also talk about how Psycho Boost is powerful enough to force recovery options from resists. Stuff like Registeel still takes meaty damage and it won't U-turn out because it will be dead if it switched into coverage move afterwards. Moongeist Beam can also list Imposter as one of the targets. Knock Off is somewhat non-standard option so I'd move that to last slash or completely rid of it and just mention in moves. Most things you aim to cripple with Knock Off are already dealt with Psystrike or Moongeist Beam (aka Imposter, FC Chansey, Cresselia, and Solgaleo / DM).

Usage Tips can go over about risk of spamming Psycho Boost when Dark-types exist because Pursuit will likely weaken MMY, if it won't be KOed.

Team Options will need some work there. Choice Band Pheromosa isn't too relevant in BH standards (well it is between us). Maybe add an offensive partner that share good offensive synergy. -ate users or MMX or other things that can free a moveslot to get things like U-turn can let MMY come in safely. -ate users in particular always have to carry something dedicated to hit Steel's and they all pressure Dark-types, with exception of Mega Rayquaza being checked by Tyranitar if lacking Precipice Blades.

On Sheer Force set, mention that Bug Buzz also hits Mega Gyarados and Imposter. Usage Tips won't need a bullet dedicated to Prankster Registeel because that practically applies to every offensive Pokemon. Add a point about being prediction-reliant though.

Contrary sets can run Life Orb - you OHKO stuff like mega ray with unboosted Psycho Boost and registeel with V-create with minimal prior damage. Pranksters are the next common answers to contrary users apart from priority and killing them without giving second chance is lit enough to justify Life Orb. Also slash King's Shield somewhere because priority and stuff.

For all sets, list Steel-types in Team Options - non APS MMY needs a shelter from priority moves.

Nothing much to say on Shell Smash because it is no brainer set and can fit just about everything.

Other Options can add why Relevelation Dance is relevant. Specify that this is for normal gar.

Checks and Counters can have some extra work done - Priority can go to #1 or #2, while Dark-types take the other. Priority is what limits non-APS MMY's usefulness against balance or basically any teams with -ate users. Dark-types are essentially STAB deterrents that prevents MMY from being a juggernaut. Steel-types or Regenvest can compete #3 or #4.

That's all.

changes:

  • changed all psychic surge to adaptability
  • moved knock off to other options alongside revelation dance
  • changed cb illusion pheromosa in wallbreaker team options to cb illusion in general (including mmx, which is stronger but can't hit psychics super effectively)
  • added life orb as first slash on contrary
  • added pixie plate in contrary set details
  • added "bring mmy in vs something that dies to one attack so u get a free boost" in contrary usage tips
  • added ph and regenvest in oo
  • added dark types in checks/counters. personally i don't rly see steel types as checks to mmy because they can't offensively threaten it and pretty much every variant carries coverage

MAMP

MAMP!
the sets are meant to be ordered according to effectiveness and at the moment i feel this is not the case. i'd change the order to contrary -> sheer force -> shell smash -> specs

i'm going to make this point here at the start or else i'll have to keep repeating myself: these are made for players who dont necessarily have much metagame experience. this analysis regularly presumes a level of metagame knowledge that shouldnt be expected of the reader. eg things like 'Future Sight Mega Mewtwo Y functions similarly to Doom Desire Dialga' is completely unhelpful to a player who doesnt know what doom desire dialga does

| overview
this overview is a bit barren at the moment

overview should touch on what sets the mon runs

m2y's role is usually as a wallbreaker that is also difficult to check offensively due to its high speed

one of m2y's biggest weaknesses is that psychic is a pretty poor offensive typing in bh and its forced to rely a lot on its coverage to beat a lot of common mons

| specs set
moongeist also hits aegi and solgaleo

mention that volt switch is very good at wearing down m2y's defensive checks

mention that an advantage of secret sword is hitting ff steels

in usage tips, talk about how many of m2y's moves have very low pp, making it sometimes important to be careful with it in longer games

in team options, talk about pokemon that force out the mons that m2y likes to volt switch on to help wear them down

dont assume they know what imposter proofing is

| sheer force set
focus blast is also m2y's only option to ohko ttar and it bonks steels

important to mention ice beam ohkoing big zyg

earth power ohkos pdon also

dont just say literally what sheer force does, explain why its good

usage tips: idk if fc pogre is a good example of a mon that cant threaten m2y bc that often runs spectral thief and rev dance is a good chance to 2hko

team options: this should be expanded a lot. mons that wear down/lure in imposter and pokemon that weaken m2y's checks are a good one to mention. and slow pivots to get it in safely

| contrary set
mention also that magma storm doesnt boost m2y's stats

which unaware users does moongeist beat?

i feel like you should elaborate more on why contrary is good: lets m2y use very high bp moves without drawback, lets it boost while dealing damage which lets it beat prankster haze and prevent it from being recover stalled, eases prediction

"Counterplay to Imposter users is necessary in case Mega Mewtwo Y has a bad matchup against the opposing team, so there is no reason to conserve it." this sentence is difficult to parse, not really sure what youre trying to say here.

again, team options should be expanded. talk about mons that wear down imposter and mons that benefit from the holes that m2y creates

| shell smash sweeper
talk about some specific priority users that dazzling helps against, and prankster glare/encore

in usage tips, talk about scouting for spectral thief bc getting spectral thiefed as you set up is mad lamesauce

i think in general explain a bit more about how to find set up opportunities with m2y (forcing out slower offensive mons, bluffing a different set, taking a hit and going to sash)

| other options
tinted lens

trick on the adapt set

explain why rev dance beats normalise gar

i think ph m2y deserves a bit more consideration here, its legit pretty good as a ph sweeper that beats other qd ph mons and has more speed and initial power than mons like xern

| checks and counters
list prankster here as a check to the smash set and bc it can destiny bond contrary

steel types are definitely worth mentioning too, flash fire steels especially

[OVERVIEW]

* Mega Mewtwo Y's unparalleled Special Attack helps it hit extremely hard with its STAB moves. Also mention how it can especially be threatening with its STABs due to their distinct uses, where PBoost is a nuke move, Photon ignores abilities which helps setup sets, and Psystrike enables it to hit specially defensive walls.
* Additionally, its great base Speed helps it outspeed nearly the entire Balanced Hackmons metagame mention key threats it outspeeds, allowing it to threaten out many slower attackers.
* Mega Mewtwo Y also has very good Attack, meaning that it can effectively use mixed sets.

* Mention a point on its respectable Special bulk for an offensive threat, letting it come in on some neutral special attacks.
* Mega Mewtwo Y's Psychic typing and relatively low Defense cause it to take lots of damage from moves commonly seen on defensive Pokemon, like U-turn, Spectral Thief, and Knock Off. Expand this to -ate priority threatening it as well due to its low physical defense.
* Additionally, Pokemon like Mega Gyarados can switch in on Mega Mewtwo Y's Psychic-type moves and deal lots of damage with Pursuit. You kinda already mentioned this before, rephrase and state how its typing leaves it weak to Dark and Ghost moves which is commonly found on a lot of mons, both defensive and offensive.

Moves
========

* Shell Smash sharply increases Mega Mewtwo Y's Attack, Special Attack, and Speed, turning it into a terrifying sweeper.
* A +2 Moongeist Beam OHKOs -1 Imposter Chansey without Eviolite, and it also hits foes such as Prankster Cresselia RegenVest Solgaleo and Sturdy Shedinja.
* Stored Power reaches 140 base power after a Shell Smash, making it more powerful than even a Choice Specs Psycho Boost thanks to the increased Special Attack from Shell Smash. Mention how it can also smack Unaware mons such as MDino hard even after one SS boost
* Psystrike is weaker than Stored Power, but it vastly improves Mega Mewtwo Y's matchup against users of Prankster Haze and Spectral Thief—while Stored Power has only 20 base power without boosts, Psystrike is always 100 base power, meaning that Psystrike Mega Mewtwo Y poses far more of a threat at +0. Also mention that it hits specially defensive mons such as RegenVest Ogre harder as well.
* Photon Geyser hits on the special side, unlike Psystrike, and it does more damage to Unaware users like Zygarde-C thanks to its ability to hit through such abilities. Also means it can run other coverage then Moongeist
* Close Combat hits Steel- and Dark-types super effectively without the low power of Secret Sword or the unreliability of Focus Blast.
* Moonblast can be used to hit Yveltal and Mega Sableye super effectively, but it leaves Mega Mewtwo Y walled by Steel-types such as Prankster Registeel.

Set Details
========

* Dazzling protects Mega Mewtwo Y from priority like -ate users' Extreme Speed and Prankster Glare, Topsy-Turvy, and Encore, making it harder to revenge kill.
* Simple doubles the boosts Mega Mewtwo Y receives from Shell Smash, allowing it to overpower foes such as Assault Vest Solgaleo and Unaware Primal Kyogre after Stealth Rock. However, it provides no protection from priority, and it makes Mega Mewtwo Y more vulnerable to Spectral Thief. Also note that it makes it slightly harder to improof
* Focus Sash allows Mega Mewtwo Y to survive a single attack from foes like Imposter Chansey and Focus Sash Magic Guard Mega Diancie other offensive threats that may threaten to OHKO it otherwise, giving it a free turn to set up if needed.
* If using Stored Power, a Rash nature is preferred, because Mega Mewtwo Y will usually be setting up before doing anything else, so a Speed-increasing nature is unneeded.
* However, a Naive nature is better with Psystrike, because it helps Mega Mewtwo Y threaten out frail foes like Mega Gengar to set up.
* 0 Special Defense IVs and EVs can be used to nearly always OHKO -1 Eviolite Imposter Chansey at +2.

Usage Tips
========

* Mega Mewtwo Y values its unbroken Focus Sash, so it should never be brought in on a predicted attack.
* Also, make sure hazards are off the field before bringing it in, because except for Sticky Web, they prevent Mega Mewtwo Y from setting up safely, and they make it more susceptible to Imposter users.
* If faced with an Imposter user, it is advisable to keep Mega Mewtwo Y in instead of switching out to a designated counter. Unless the opponent has a Pokemon that is setup bait for Mega Mewtwo Y, it will usually only get one chance to sweep before the opponent knows its set. Yeh but this also gives the Imposter user the chance to not only revenge ur MMY, but also potentially setup and sweep. If MMY's team has a means of improofing it then it would be advised to just go to that specific counter measure.
* Mega Mewtwo Y performs best when it is able to successfully bluff a set like Sheer Force, because it can potentially set up while keeping its Focus Sash intact. It can do this by coming in on slower offensive Pokemon like Mega Rayquaza and Kartana. Bluffing Specs is also good since that set usually lures in mons that MMY can use as setup fodder such as Mdino and Celesteela
* Scout for Spectral Thief from which mons? before trying to set up, because Mega Mewtwo Y turns into a liability if it gets hit with the move while it sets up.

Team Options
========

* Pokemon with immediate power, like Choice Band Mega Mewtwo X, V-create Red Orb Groudon, and Choice Specs Mega Rayquaza, are good partners because they discourage the use of Spectral Thief not only that but also break through some of its checks like Unaware Ygod and Prankster Registeel. Additionally, they can provide Mega Mewtwo Y with a free switchin by forcing the foe to recover its health.
* Hazard removers like Defog Focus Sash Magic Guard Mega Diancie Magic Bounce Yveltal and Rapid Spin Mega Diancie can preserve Mega Mewtwo Y's Focus Sash, giving it a better shot at sweeping.
* Suicide leads like Deoxys-S and Mega Gengar can prevent the opponent from setting up hazards altogether, and they can help it get KOs with their own hazards. However, they contribute little outside of temporary control over the hazard game. Expand this point to hazard setters in general, as not only can they break down walls but also free up a potential moveslot due to it beating Shed
* Prankster Destiny Bond users can prevent Imposter Chansey from sweeping in a worst-case scenario without losing momentum.
* Psychic Terrain setters like Terrain Extender Psychic Terrain Zygarde-C can power up Mega Mewtwo Y's Psychic-type moves, and Psychic Terrain allows Mega Mewtwo Y to use Simple without having to fear priority.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Psycho Boost in conjunction with Adaptability and Choice Specs is an enormously powerful attack capable of OHKOing even somewhat bulky foes like Mega Rayquaza.
* Moongeist Beam deals decent damage to Imposter users, Aegislash, and Psychic-types like Cresselia and Solgaleo on the switch, and it also OHKOs Sturdy Shedinja.
* Volt Switch pivots Mega Mewtwo Y out on a predicted switch and hits common Dark-types, like Mega Gyarados and Yveltal, super effectively. This means it can wear down some common switchins extremely quickly.
* Blue Flare is used to hit Steel-types such as Solgaleo and Registeel super effectively.
* Secret Sword hits most Steel- and Dark-types super effectively, but its low base power and mediocre base power prevent it from doing much damage against foes like Yveltal and Solgaleo. However, it comes with the benefit of hitting Flash Fire Steel-types, unlike Blue Flare.
* Psystrike provides no coverage, but it hits on the physical side, enabling Mega Mewtwo Y to OHKO Assault Vest Primal Kyogre. It also helps maintain momentum because it doesn't drop Mega Mewtwo Y's Special Attack after use.
* Fleur Cannon threatens to OHKO common Dark-types unless they have an Assault Vest, invalidating them as switchins.
* Trick can hinder an opposing Pokemon by locking it into one move. However, Mega Mewtwo Y is noticeably less powerful without its item.

Set Details
========

* Choice Specs provides Mega Mewtwo Y with the power boost it needs to KO almost any Pokemon.
* Mention of Tinted Lens
* Adaptability further powers up Mega Mewtwo Y's Psychic-type attacks, causing them to necessitate an Assault Vest user or a resistant Pokemon to wall.
* A Timid nature increases Mega Mewtwo Y's Speed, helping it outspeed common attackers like Mega Gengar and Mega Mewtwo X.

Usage Tips
========

* Don't switch Mega Mewtwo Y directly into defensive Pokemon without knowing their set, because of common moves such as U-turn, Spectral Thief and Knock Off not only deals a sizable amount of damage to Mega Mewtwo Y, but it gives the opponent a free switch into their check.
* Most defensive cores will have a Pokemon that can switch into Psycho Boost which pokemon?. In the early-game, try to remove this Pokemon with Mega Mewtwo Y's coverage moves so it can freely use Psycho Boost later on.
* Be aware that knocking out a foe with Psycho Boost will often give the opponent free momentum because of Mega Mewtwo Y's lowered Special Attack, so consider the possible risks before using it. Specifically state how it should only be used when MMY can ensure a KO or predict a switch in of a certain wall that may want to take a less powered move
* Many of Mega Mewtwo Y's moves have only 8 PP, so don't recklessly use them up in a potentially long game.
* Point on when to use Trick

Team Options
========

* Choice Band Illusion users like Mega Mewtwo X and Pheromosa are very good teammates, because they can lure in Mega Mewtwo Y's checks and deal massive damage with their STAB moves.
* Slow but powerful breakers, including Choice Band Steelworker Kartana and Choice Specs Refrigerate Kyurem-W, can take advantage of the momentum that Mega Mewtwo Y creates to switch in and further break through defensive teams.
* Pokemon like Choice Band Adaptability Mega Mewtwo X can threaten to KO the threats that Mega Mewtwo Y hits on the switch with Volt Switch. You already mentioned Band users, instead u can list Fairy-types like Xern and MDiancie specifically as they can deal with the Dark-types that give this set some issue
* Mega Mewtwo Y can be imposter-proofed with a Pokemon that can take Psycho Boost well and aren't hit super effectively by the chosen coverage moves. Examples include Flash Fire Registeel, RegenVest Primal Kyogre, and Chansey.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* A Choice Specs Tinted Lens set functions similarly to the Adaptability set, but it trades power for the ability to beat Steel- and Psychic-types without relying on prediction. It gets walled by threats like RegenVest Primal Kyogre, though, and Dark-types are still immune to its STAB moves. You can mention Specs Adaptability here instead
* Mega Mewtwo Y can use 0 Defense EVs and IVs along with a negative nature to allow a Dark-type to deal tons of damage to Imposter Chansey with Pursuit. However, the reduced bulk can be problematic against foes like RegenVest Giratina and priority moves in general.
* Tail Glow is an option on the Sheer Force set that allows Mega Mewtwo Y to OHKO even very bulky Pokemon or those with beneficial typing, like Yveltal and Chansey, with its attacks. However, great care has to be taken to imposter-proof such sets, and the lack of a fourth attack restricts Mega Mewtwo Y's coverage.
* Choice Specs Mega Mewtwo Y can use utility moves like Revelation Dance to hit Normalize Gengar and Knock Off to remove items like Eviolite and Assault Vest if needed, but these take up precious moveslots and are inconsistent.
* Future Sight + Tail Glow Mega Mewtwo Y can help other wallbreakers beat Pokemon that would normally wall them by effectively hitting twice in one turn, and it's more powerful when used with Adaptability. However, Mega Mewtwo Y can't viably use it with Choice Specs, and the lack of initial power is bad for it.
* Poison Heal is a viable set that can put slower foes to sleep with Lovely Kiss and hit them with STAB Psychic-type moves stronger than those of Xerneas. However, it fails to hit common defensive Pokemon super effectively, and it is hard walled by threats like Poison Heal Yveltal.
* Sets that take advantage of Mega Mewtwo Y's decent defenses and high Speed, like RegenVest, are viable, but they tend to face competition from bulkier Pokemon.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Although most Mega Mewtwo Y sets carry coverage for these Pokemon, they still serve as decent checks. Pokemon like Sand Stream Mega Tyranitar and RegenVest Yveltal can switch into a predicted Psychic-type move, withstand any single coverage move outside of Secret Sword, Fleur Cannon and Close Combat, and deal massive damage with Knock Off or trap Mega Mewtwo Y with Pursuit.

**Steel-types**: Common Pokemon like Registeel, Solgaleo, and Celesteela carry a resistance to Mega Mewtwo Y's STAB moves, and they often use Flash Fire, so Fire-type coverage isn't a reliable stop to them. Mention how some still fear Fighting coverage

**Prankster Users**: Prankster Pokemon like Registeel can cripple disable setup boosting Mega Mewtwo Y with Glare Haze or remove it with Destiny Bond. They can also shut down the Shell Smash set with Haze.

**RegenVest Users**: Pokemon like Yveltal Giratina, Primal Kyogre, and Solgaleo can take a hit from Choice Specs Mega Mewtwo Y and force it out, and any damage they take is negated over time thanks to Regenerator. However, they struggle against Knock Off and Sheer Force variants. mention the fear of Psystrike as well specifically for Ogre and even Tina

Move this point above the faster threats

hey thanks for the check. most of it is fine but i don't agree with some of this, so let's resolve it here.
Relist set order as followed:
1) Specs Tinted Lens
2) Mixed Sheer Force
3) Contrary
4) Shell Smash
mamp put the sets in the current order for the first qc check, and i think it's more accurate than this because specs mmy is an uncommon set and definitely not the one i'd list first.

why is encore on contrary crossed out

no focus blast/moongeist on sf? i get removing bug buzz but this just seems weird. focus blast provides insane coverage even if it has low accuracy while moongeist allows you to actually threaten psychics. psychic/blast/moongeist hits everything for neutral too so you can run bolt strike last slot and profit.

the shell smash set is just weird. first off there's literally no reason to run secret sword>cc besides the pp

252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-Y Secret Sword vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Registeel: 150-178 (41.2 - 48.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Mewtwo-Mega-Y Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Registeel: 172-204 (47.2 - 56%) -- 78.5% chance to 2HKO

you don't beat prankster regi even with secret sword because it just recovers up to the point where you can't 2hko then uturns out. cc helps you ohko non prankster variants after rocks at +2.

prankster cresselia and regenvest solgaleo are about the same in terms of relevance so i don't think that needs to be changed

If MMY's team has a means of improofing it then it would be advised to just go to that specific counter measure.
how does mmy benefit from switching out in this situation? unless you have multiple mmy they can just spectral thief the next time you come in because mmy does nothing at +0. if i was the mmy user i'd 100% stay in and go for the speed tie in this situation.

the moves on this are super weird. fleur + volt switch is bad because volt switching on yveltal/gyara is like the entire appeal of having it. photon geyser is outclassed by psycho boost (2 boosts are stronger than 2 photons), psystrike, or moongeist in most situations. secret sword shouldn't be run over fleur on lens. where does trick even fit on this set

future sight tail glow seems super awkward compared to other tail glow mmy sets. you want another stab to actually hit things hard without zmove and by then what's the point

[OVERVIEW]

* Mega Mewtwo Y's unparalleled Special Attack helps it hit extremely hard with its STAB moves.
* Additionally, its great base Speed helps it outspeed nearly the entire Balanced Hackmons metagame, allowing it to threaten out many slower attackers.
* Mega Mewtwo Y also has very good Attack, meaning that it can effectively use mixed sets.
* Mega Mewtwo Y's Psychic-type STAB moves hit no common Pokemon super effectively save for Mega Gengar, and they are resisted by common Dark- and Steel-types such as Yveltal, Mega Tyranitar, and Registeel. Because of this, it relies on non-STAB coverage moves to beat many common threats. Note how certain Steels such as Registeel and Aegi opt for Flash Fire sometimes to check stuff like Fire move Mega Diancie, which indirectly checks certain MMY sets such as Contrary and SF depending on the coverage.
* Mega Mewtwo Y's Psychic typing and relatively low Defense cause it to take lots of damage from moves commonly seen on defensive Pokemon, like U-turn, Spectral Thief, and Knock Off.
* Additionally, Pokemon like Mega Gyarados can switch in on Mega Mewtwo Y's Psychic-type moves and deal lots of damage with Pursuit. Also add Mega TTar and Ygod here for relevant Dark-types.

Moves
========

* Psycho Boost is Mega Mewtwo Y's strongest attack, and thanks to Contrary it raises Mega Mewtwo Y's Special Attack by two stages.
* Fleur Cannon provides coverage for Dark-types like Yveltal and Mega Tyranitar, OHKOing them at +2 unless they have Unaware.
* Pixie Plate Judgment, although it is weaker than Fleur Cannon and doesn't have the benefit of raising Mega Mewtwo Y's Special Attack, allows this set to be easily imposter-proofed with Dark-types like Unaware Mega Gyarados and Sand Stream Mega Tyranitar.
* Overheat hits Steel-types like Registeel, preventing them from walling Mega Mewtwo Y.
* Magma Storm KOs Sturdy Shedinja by trapping it and hits Steel-types hard, but it's somewhat weak and inaccurate. Additionally, it doesn't boost Mega Mewtwo Y's stats.
* V-create raises Mega Mewtwo Y's defenses and Speed, making it harder to revenge kill, but it doesn't use Special Attack boosts from Mega Mewtwo Y's other attacks, meaning that it can miss KOs on Steel-types and get forced out by Spectral Thief.
* Moongeist Beam hits Psychic-types and Sturdy Shedinja, and it can also beat unresistant Unaware users like Primal Kyogre after Mega Mewtwo Y has accumulated enough boosts.
* Encore helps give Mega Mewtwo Y setup opportunities by locking the foe into a useless move like Shore Up, and also prevents Prankster Destiny Bond users from taking Mega Mewtwo Y down with them. However, it makes Mega Mewtwo Y much harder to imposter-proof.
* Lovely Kiss has a chance to give Mega Mewtwo Y free turns by putting the foe to sleep. It is used over Spore because it ignores Safety Goggles and Grass-types' natural immunity.

Set Details
========

* A Speed-increasing nature is used on Mega Mewtwo Y to outspeed as many foes as possible, preventing Pokemon like Mega Mewtwo X from revenge killing it. Add Mega Gar here.
* Contrary turns Fleur Cannon, Psycho Boost, and Overheat into high-powered moves that also help Mega Mewtwo Y snowball, instead of one-time nukes.
* Life Orb helps Mega Mewtwo Y get key OHKOs and 2HKOs it wouldn't otherwise, such as against RegenVest Primal Kyogre.
* Focus Sash is used so Mega Mewtwo Y can stop Shell Smash sweepers as a last resort. It also helps Mega Mewtwo Y survive a single attack from Imposter Chansey and hit it back in return with Moongeist Beam.
* Choice Specs variants have greater difficulty sweeping because they can't switch moves, but they do well early-game because of their higher initial power. I would really consider removing this, the main ideal for Contrary is to switch up moves to actually sweep properly and locking into STAb or coverage can be somewhat of a momentum stop to a set like this.
* Pixie Plate changes Judgment into a Fairy-type attack, although it stays Normal-type when used by opposing Imposter users unless they too carry a Plate.
Add a sidenote on Wide Lens for the slight boost in consistency.

Usage Tips
========

* To maximize Mega Mewtwo Y's chances of sweeping, conceal its set by not using it early-game.
* If possible, bring Mega Mewtwo Y in against a foe that gets KO'd by one of its attacks, so it can begin sweeping without first taking damage.
* Unless Choice Specs is used, there is little prediction involved in attacking with Mega Mewtwo Y. Even if the opponent switches their Pokemon into a resisted move, Mega Mewtwo Y can usually KO them thanks to its Special Attack boost.
* Imposter users are the biggest obstacle to Mega Mewtwo Y's sweep, so try to wear them down before sending it in.

Team Options
========

* Counterplay to Imposter users is necessary to prevent them from sweeping. On defensive teams, sturdy Unaware users like Muk-Alola, Chansey, and Ho-Oh work well; on offensive teams, Pokemon with Prankster Destiny Bond or Focus Sash, like Shell Smash Yveltal and Prankster Kartana, work well.
* Focus Sash Spore Contrary Mega Sceptile can break past the foes that would normally stop Mega Mewtwo Y, like Prankster Destiny Bond and Imposter. It can also imposter-proof Mega Mewtwo Y, and take advantage of the holes it creates to sweep.
* Poison Heal users like Regigigas and Xerneas synthesize well with Mega Mewtwo Y, because it can put foes to sleep, providing Mega Mewtwo Y with free setup opportunities.

Moves
========

* When boosted by Sheer Force, Psychic is able to 2HKO most unresistant walls.
* Moonblast provides coverage against Dark-types and hits miscellaneous targets harder, cleanly OHKOing Mega Mewtwo X and 2HKOing Assault Vest Giratina.
* Bug Buzz hits less targets than Moonblast and misses out on hitting Yveltal, but it has the benefit of 2HKOing most Psychic-types. Additionally, it does lots of damage to other Dark-types and Imposter. Can you give examples? Ideally being Cresselia and opposing MMY.
* Focus Blast hits Fur Coat Chansey, Steel-types, and Dark-types hard, and OHKOs Mega Tyranitar, but its low accuracy holds it back.
* Ice Beam hits Yveltal and Dragon-types like Giratina, and cleanly OHKOs Zygarde-C variants without Assault Vest. However, it necessitates the use of Bolt Strike to hit Mega Gyarados and RegenVest Primal Kyogre.
* Earth Power 2HKOs most Steel-types, but misses out on Celesteela. It also has a chance to OHKO Red Orb Groudon.
* Blue Flare hits all common Steel-types super effectively, unless they have the Flash Fire ability.
* V-create is stronger than Blue Flare with a chance to OHKO RegenVest Solgaleo, but it lowers Mega Mewtwo Y's defensive stats and Speed; additionally, it causes it to take recoil damage from Life Orb.
* Bolt Strike is used for foes like Flash Fire Celesteela and RegenVest Primal Kyogre, cleanly OHKOing both. Also note that it generally breaks through specially defensive walls thanks to MMY's great Attack.
* Moongeist Beam hits Psychic-types and Sturdy Shedinja, but its lack of a secondary effect makes it weaker than Mega Mewtwo Y's other attacks.

Set Details
========

* The Sheer Force ability is used to give most of Mega Mewtwo Y's attacks a 30% boost while removing their secondary effects. This adds much-needed power to its coverage moves while not locking it into an attack.
* A Life Orb further boosts these attacks by 30%, and its recoil is mitigated on moves with secondary effects thanks to Sheer Force.
* If any physical moves are used, Naive is the preferred ability because it doesn't leave Mega Mewtwo Y more vulnerable to physical moves like U-turn and Spectral Thief. If no physical moves are used, Timid keeps Mega Mewtwo Y's defenses high while lowering its unused Attack.

Usage Tips
========

* Bring Mega Mewtwo Y in by slow pivoting on Pokemon that can't threaten it much, like Primal Kyogre, Mega Audino, and Celesteela.
* Once Mega Mewtwo Y is in play, break the opposing team with its powerful attacks.
* Watch out for Prankster Destiny Bond users such as Registeel, because these Pokemon are often the only thing that can potentially stop Mega Mewtwo Y from breaking the entire opposing team.

Team Options
========

* Pokemon like Volt Absorb Celesteela, Eviolite Imposter Chansey, and Levitate Registeel can imposter-proof this set depending on the moves chosen. I think I would mention FC Chansey over Imposter as Bolt Strike variants can still be a pain.
* Illusion users like Choice Band Mega Mewtwo X and Choice Specs Mega Rayquaza can lure in Imposter Chansey. Mega Rayquaza can also OHKO Giratina, which can survive one of Mega Mewtwo Y's attacks, and both can utilize Knock Off to remove Assault Vest and Eviolite. RIP Illusion.
* Utility Pokemon like Poison Heal Mega Audino can pivot in Mega Mewtwo Y safely. Hmm not sure this the best example as both Contrary and SF MMY easily break through PH Dino. I think stuff like RegenVest Pogre and Mega TTar are better examples here.
* Hazard setters like Red Orb Groudon help Mega Mewtwo Y by taking care of Sturdy Shedinja and helping Mega Mewtwo Y beat foes with Focus Sash. The chip damage on miscellaneous foes can also help Mega Mewtwo Y get KOs it would otherwise miss.
* I think Mold Breaker Pursuit is a great addition as it enables MMY to forego Moongeist and can generally ease playing around Shed teams.

ability: Adaptability
nature: Timid
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Set Details
========

* Choice Specs provides Mega Mewtwo Y with the power boost it needs to KO almost any Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

* Don't switch Mega Mewtwo Y directly into defensive Pokemon without knowing their set, because the common move U-turn not only deals a sizable amount of damage to Mega Mewtwo Y, but it gives the opponent a free switch into their check.
* Most defensive cores will have a Pokemon that can switch into Psycho Boost.
* Many of Mega Mewtwo Y's moves have only 8 PP, so don't recklessly use them up in a potentially long game.

Team Options
========

* Mega Mewtwo Y can be imposter-proofed with a Pokemon that can take Psycho Boost well and aren't hit super effectively by the chosen coverage moves. Examples include Flash Fire Registeel, RegenVest Primal Kyogre, and Chansey.

Other Options
=============

* Mega Mewtwo Y can use 0 Defense EVs and IVs along with a negative nature to allow a Dark-type to deal tons of damage to Imposter Chansey with Pursuit. However, the reduced bulk can be problematic against foes like RegenVest Giratina.
* Future Sight Mega Mewtwo Y can help other wallbreakers beat Pokemon that would normally wall them by effectively hitting twice in one turn, and it's more powerful when used with Adaptability.
Remove
* Sets that take advantage of Mega Mewtwo Y's decent defenses and high Speed, like RegenVest, are viable, but they tend to face competition from bulkier Pokemon.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Although most Mega Mewtwo Y sets carry coverage for these Pokemon, they still serve as decent checks. Pokemon like Sand Stream Mega Tyranitar can switch into a predicted Psychic-type move, withstand any single coverage move outside of Secret Sword and Close Combat, and deal massive damage with Knock Off or trap Mega Mewtwo Y with Pursuit. Mention Unaware Yveltal here as well.

Looked this over, much better then before. Any other changes discusses on Cord should be implemented as well if I forgot to mention here.

Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar and Yveltal can also switch in on Mega Mewtwo Y's Psychic-type moves and deal lots of damage with Pursuit.

this entire overview paragraph heavily deemphasizes how good mmy really is. it's impossible to reliably switch into outside of imposter, and it has really good special bulk which means it can switch in and threaten shit like ogre effectively. the fact it's able to run such a myriad of moves is something that comes from its offensive stats in combination with this insane bulk and speed. i feel like this should be emphasized, because it's probably one of the most unpredictable pokemon in the metagame because of this.

as for cons, you should definitely mention how imposter comes in for free on every single set. being bait for the best pokemon in the metagame should 101% be mentioned.

Moves

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

========

Poison Heal users like Regigigas and Xerneas synthesize well with Mega Mewtwo Y, because it can put foes to sleep, providing Mega Mewtwo Y with free setup opportunities.

it's really aids that we have to remove this bc the qc took so long, but it is how it is. sorry man

Moves
========

When boosted by Sheer Force, Psychic is able to 2HKO most unresistant walls such as giratina, mega audino, etc. Moonblast provides coverage against Dark-types and hits miscellaneous targets harder, cleanly OHKOing Mega Mewtwo X only -spdef variants, so remove this and 2HKOing Assault Vest Giratina. Focus Blast hits Fur Coat Chansey, Steel-types, and Dark-types hard, and OHKOs Mega Tyranitar, but its low accuracy holds it back mention how it's more picky to imposterproof because there's no ability which blocks fighting type moves like there is for earth, and that it has higher power. Ice Beam hits Yveltal and Dragon-types like Giratina, and cleanly OHKOs Zygarde-C variants without Assault Vest. However, it necessitates the use of Bolt Strike to hit Mega Gyarados and RegenVest Primal Kyogre nitpick - put ogre first, it's a lot more relevant. Earth Power 2HKOs most Steel-types, but misses out on Celesteela. It also has a chance to OHKO Red Orb Groudon. Blue Flare hits all common Steel-types super effectively, unless they have the Flash Fire ability this feels very dismissive. flash fire is very common, so emphasize this a bit more. V-create is stronger than Blue Flare in terms of power, it's not with a chance to OHKO RegenVest Solgaleo, but it lowers Mega Mewtwo Y's defensive stats and Speed; additionally, it causes it to take recoil damage from Life Orb. Bolt Strike is used for foes like Flash Fire Celesteela and RegenVest Primal Kyogre, cleanly OHKOing both. move talking about bolt strike to when you do it earlier It also does significant damage to foes lacking physical bulk such as Chansey sets without Fur Coat. Moongeist Beam hits Psychic-types and Sturdy Shedinja, but its lack of a secondary effect makes it weaker than Mega Mewtwo Y's other attacks. and it also takes LO recoil

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Bring Mega Mewtwo Y in by slow pivoting on Pokemon that can't threaten it much, like Primal Kyogre, Mega Audino, and Celesteela. Once Mega Mewtwo Y is in play, break the opposing team with its powerful attacks. Watch out for Prankster Destiny Bond users such as Registeel, because these Pokemon are often the only thing that can potentially stop Mega Mewtwo Y from breaking the entire opposing team. watch out for hazards, toxic spikes in particular heavily reduces mmy's longevity. scout for tough claws/adaptability ttar/gyarados if you see one, because sucker punch ohkos mmy.

Team Options
========

Pokemon like Volt Absorb Celesteela, Fur Coat Chansey, and Levitate worth mentioning that flash fire can too while being more viable Registeel can imposter-proof this set depending on the moves chosen. Mold Breaker Pursuit users like Secret Sword why sword specifcally? also mgar is the only real relevant user worth mentioning, so just say "moldy suit mgar" Mega Gengar can eliminate Sturdy Shedinja, allowing Mega Mewtwo Y to take on these teams without being hard walled for the whole game.

fakespeed mray checks
fakespeed diancie checks
ttar/gyara resists
imposter to scout for potentially problematic sets
hazard removers is very important, since hazards reduce mmy's longevity

=============

mguard should be here, if not a main set. A Choice Specs set with Tinted Lens or Adaptability talk about the moves can work out well thanks to Mega Mewtwo Y's incredible Special Attack and arsenal of powerful STAB moves, but its offensive typing holds it back. Imposter users can switch in because they resist its STAB moves, Dark- and Steel-types are very common, and very few common Pokemon are hit super effectively by Psychic. talk about how it also risks being suit trapped because it's locked into moves Mega Mewtwo Y can use 0 Defense EVs and IVs along with a negative nature to allow a Dark-type teammate to deal tons of damage to Imposter Chansey with Pursuit. However, the reduced bulk can be problematic against foes like RegenVest Giratina. honestly i just straight up wouldnt use this. one of mmy's best selling points is how it has really, really good bulk for an offensive mon as well as how it can consistently take on -atespeed at full. if you do want this, move it down to the bottom.Tail Glow is an option on the Sheer Force set that allows Mega Mewtwo Y to OHKO even very bulky Pokemon or those with beneficial typing, like Yveltal and Chansey, with its attacks. However, great care has to be taken to imposter-proof such sets, and the lack of a fourth attack restricts Mega Mewtwo Y's coverage. Choice Specs Mega Mewtwo Y can use utility moves like Revelation Dance to hit Normalize Gengar if you're in on an unboosted mega gengar, it isn't staying in, and if you're in on a mega gengar otherwise, it's boosted. i'd remove this. and Knock Off to remove items like Eviolite and Assault Vest if needed, but these take up precious moveslots and are inconsistent.

Checks and Counters

implement this and then lmk, i'll look at it again
