Mega Mirrors (Slate 16.5 - Discussion)

Name of Pokemon: Mega Beedrill Y
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Beedrillite (Y)
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Tough Claws
New Mega's Stats: 65 / 135 (+ 45) / 80 (+40) / 20 (-25) / 90 (+10) / 105 (+ 30) (BST: 495)
New Moves (if any): Bullet Punch, Meteor Mash

Flavor (Optional): Beedrill's stinger has grown over its entire body, creating a hard metal casing. It catches prey by impaling it using its sharpened steel and flying away.

Competitive Description: A more offensive version of Mega Scizor, Mega Beedrill retains more than enough power with a high Attack stat and Tough Claws, while also gaining enough bulk to switch it. While it doesn't have the same defensive prowess as other Steel-types, Meteor Mash along with a rather good base 105 speed make it a credible offensive threat.

Name of Pokemon: Mega Blastoise X
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Blastoisinite (X)
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Water Absorb
New Mega's Stats: 79 / 101 (+18) / 127 (+27) / 85 / 143 (+38 ) / 95 (+17 ) (BST: 630)
New Moves (if any): Bulk Up

Flavor (Optional): Blastoise retreats into its shell, creating an impenetrable shield as protection from its foe. Amazingly,it can move the individual parts of its shell, giving surprising mobility and accuracy.

Competitive Description: Fantastic mixed defenses along with decent offensive presence allows Mega Blastoise X to serve as a viable alternative to Toxapex (along with more niche picks such as Tapu Fini/Suicune/Mega Slowbro) as a bulky Water. Bulk Up lets Mega Blastoise X patch its weaker physical side while simultaneously turning it into a potent offensive threat. Water Absorb is useful to gain HP and set up on Water-types.

Name of Pokemon: Mega Camerupt X
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Cameruptite (X)
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Regenerator
New Mega's Stats: 70 / 138 (+38) / 106 (+36) / 105 / 111 (+36) / 20 (-20) (BST: 560)
New Moves (if any): Liquidation, Steam Eruption

Flavor (Optional): Once possessing an active volcano, Camerupt has become dormant. A small, crystal-clear lake has emerged in the old volcanic crater, surrounded by plant life.

Competitive Description: Fire/Water is a surprisingly good defensive typing, resisting Fairy-type attacks and quad-resisting Fire, Ice, and Steel with no 4x weakness. Mixed bulk along with Regenerator turns Mega Camerupt X into a potent tank, allowing it to cripple opponents with powerful Steam Eruptions or

Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Beedrillite Y
New Mega's Type: Bug/Poison
New Mega's Ability: Stakeout
New Mega's Stats: 65 / 60 (-30) / 40 / 135 (+90) / 80 / 115 (+40) = 495 BST
New Moves (if any): Bug Buzz, Nasty Plot
Flavor (Optional): Instead of becoming an extremely aggressive when Mega Evolved, the Beedrillite Y turns Mega Beedrill into a more patient fighter, resembling and acting like a military sniper.
Competitive Description: Mega Beedrill Y is a sweeper, boasting a pretty good Special Attack stat and an interesting ability in Stakeout that makes it hard to switch into. Dedicated walls can still do well against it, but they have to be wary of getting Nasty Plotted on before the onslaught of Bug Buzz, Sludge Bomb, and Giga Drain commences.

With a surprise ballot coming in as I was counting votes, let's see the results

Beedrill

Origin0 - 2 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 1 = 9
MegaFlareon - 1 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 1 = 10
God of Llamas - 2 = 2

Blastoise
Stitch98 - 3 + 3 + 3 = 9

MegaFlareon - 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8
Origin0 - 1 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 2 = 8
God of Llamas - 3 + 1 + 1 = 5

Camerupt
God of Llamas - 3 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 1 = 11
Origin0 - 2 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 3 = 12
MegaFlareon - 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 2 = 7

Name of Pokemon: Beedrill
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Beedrillite Y
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Prankster
New Mega's Stats: 65 / 120 / 90 / 15 / 100 / 105 (+30 Atk, +50 Def, -30 SpA, +20 SpD, +30 Spe)
New Moves (if any): Destiny Bond, Taunt
Flavor (Optional): The sight of Mega Beedrill Y causes people to be suicidal. Cover your eyes when you encounter this Pokemon, or better yet, use a blindfold! Mega Beedrill Y is incredibly afraid of birds though, so pack a Flying-type to repel this creature.
Competitive Description: Beedrill has a plethora of status moves that it couldn't use due to its poor bulk. With added bulk and Prankster, it now can! It can be a utility mon with Toxic Spikes and Defog, and it can set-up with priority Swords Dance (screw Taunt). Priority Roost keeps it healthy over the course of the match. If Mega Beedrill Y has done its purpose in a match, it can even use Destiny Bond to get a cheap KO.

Name of Pokemon: Blastoise

BST 630 (+100)
New Mega's Weight: 480.5 kg (+395.0)

New Moves (if any): Flare Blitz, Gunk Shot
Flavor (Optional): Inside the body of Mega Camerupt X, toxic gases emitted from the magma build up and can be used as a poisonous weapon. It fires this poison through its new double humps.
Competitive Description: Mega Camerupt X becomes part Poison type and a physical attacker with STAB Flare Blitz and Gunk Shot.
Next up:
Slate 5:

Mega Diancie Y: Ability Limit of 3.5
Mega Gallade Y: Ability Limit of 4
Mega Gardevoir X: Ability Limit of 4
(Magic Bounce is a 4.5, but still be extra careful with 4s and 4.5s for Diancie)

If you've figured out that the slates have been in alphabetical order and wondering why we skipped Charizard and Garchomp, Charizard already has its X and Y and both are OU.
As for Grachomp, that's a surprise for next slate...

Name of Pokemon: Diancie
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Diancite Y
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Core Recharge*
New Mega's Stats:
HP 50
Atk 80 (-20)
Def 170 (+20)
SpA 190 (+90)
SpD 170 (+20)
Spe 40 (-10)
BST 700 (+100)
New Moves (if any): Core Laser*, Cosmic Power
Flavor (Optional): It's inspired by a satellyte and an interplanetary laser like the one on Death Star. I'll draw it.
Competitive Description: I'm making a strange sub, it's something very new but I don't know if it will work. The idea is that it can make huge damages, but it will difficultly last longer than 4-5 turns. I kinda wanted to give it Laser Focus for flavour, but it does nothing combined with the ability.

*Core Recharge: Truant clone.
*Core Laser: Fairy-type clone for V-Create that lowers Def, SpA and SpD; if possible, I'd like a Dark Void-Darkrai like restriction, but only to this Mega form.

Name of Pokemon: Gardevoir

SpA 95 (-30)
SpD 95 (-20)
Spe 150 (+70)
BST 618 (+100)
New Moves (if any): Hearth Stamp, Pursuit
Flavor (Optional): It's a Sheik-like take on Gardevoir.
Competitive Description: WIP

Name of Pokemon: Gardevoir
Name of new Mega Stone [X or Y]: Gardevoirite X
New Mega’s type: Psychic/Grass
New Mega’s ability: Triage
New Mega’s stats:
HP 68
Atk 65
Def 130 (+65)
SpA 155 (+30)
SpD 130 (+15)
Spe 70 (-10)
BST 618 (+100)

New moves: Giga Drain, Mind Tap (Psychic Draining Kiss clone)
Flavour: The red spike on Gardevoirs chest blooms into an orchid and the green headpiece turns into a vine that wraps around the body providing a sense of bulk.
Competitive: A Pokemon that punishes balance teams with the use of sub cm and priority, sets up on mons like toxapex. Pairs up well with magnezone. Forces decision making. Countered heavily by uturn

Name of Pokemon: Diancie
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Diancite Y
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Solid Rock
New Mega's Stats: 50 / 120 / 200 / 150 / 150 / 30 (+20 Atk, +50 Def, +50 SpA, -20 Spe)
New Moves (if any): Curse, Zen Headbutt
Flavor (Optional): More rocks clump into Diancie, making it bigger and rougher, though slower. Due to its inability to move freely, it uses psychic powers to sustain itself.

Competitive Description: Mega Diancie can sweep in 3 ways: Trick Room, Calm Mind, or Curse. Its huge bulk gives it multiple set-up opportunities and when successful, hits hard thanks to its high offensive stats. Solid Rock is the perfect ability for its typing as it a lot of weaknesses (7!) but no double weaknesses. Despite all its strengths, its low Speed and lack of reliable recovery keep it from being overpowered.

Name of Pokemon: Gallade
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Galladite Y
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Dark Aura
New Mega's Stats: 68 / 125 / 45 / 135 / 125 / 120 (-20 Def, +70 SpA, +10 SpD, +40 Spe)
New Moves (if any): Dark Pulse, Nasty Plot
Flavor (Optional): Mega Gallade Y trades its honor for deceit, using dirty tactics to outsmart its opponent.

Competitive Description: Mega Gallade can Attack from both sides of the spectrum thanks to Dark Aura boosting Dark Pulse and Knock Off, which can give mind games on an opponent. Nasty Plot boosts its power even further, though it has to watch out for physical attackers while setting up.

Name of Pokemon: Gardevoir
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Gardevoirite X
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Tough Claws
New Mega's Stats: 68 / 135 / 95 / 105 / 105 / 110 (+70 Atk, +30 Def, -20 SpA, -10 SpD, +30 Spe)
New Moves (if any): Poison Jab, Hone Claws
Flavor (Optional): Mega Gardevoir X is a femme fatale Pokemon. It uses its beauty to captivate other Pokemon then proceeds to poison them with its venomous claws.

Competitive Description: Mega Gardevoir X is a physical sweeper with a unique typing. Its physical movepool may be shallow but its STAB moves and coverage (elemental punches, Shadow Sneak) are all boosted by Tough Claws. Hone Claws boosts its power even further while also improving the accuracy of Zen Headbutt.

Mega Gardevoir X
Ability:
Compound Eyes
HP: 68
Atk: 65 ---> 45 (-20)
Def: 65 ---> 125 (+60)
SpA: 125 ---> 155 (+30)
SpD: 115 ---> 145 (+30)
Spe: 80 ---> 80 (0)
Weight: 0.1 kg
New Moves: Black Hole,
*Black Hole - 100 BP |
|
| 75% Acc. | Traps opponent for 4-5 turns, dealing 1/8 of their HP in damage at the end of each turn ( Magma Storm Clone )
Flavor: Gardevoir's pokedex mentions it not feeling the effects of gravity and summoning small black holes in combat, so here you go. The Atk drop wasn't really done for flavor but I'll justify it in this way: being nearly weightless ( 0.1 kg ), it has no solid footing from which to attack, but it's also very resilient to being knocked around. Hence, +Def and -Atk.
Description: A trapping stall breaker thanks to its high accuracy Black Hole. A moveset of Black Hole / Psychic / Focus Blast / Taunt can bust through many defensive cores, and it has some other options like Will-o-Wisp and Thunder Wave to catch some of its better swith-ins like Tapu Bulu. Compound Eyes is huge for both Black Hole and Focus Blast, which are horribly inaccurate.

This seems fine except for one thing: Gardevoir learns Sing and Hypnosis. Because of that, I'd recommend using Compound Eyes instead. This still gives Black Hole 97.5% Accuracy, Focus Blast 91% Accuracy, and perfect accuracy Will-O and TWaves while making Hypnosis/Sing less broken (now at 71.5%) and even allowing your opponent to miss moves against you.

Good catch, I'll definitely do that

Name of Pokemon: Diancie
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Diancite Y
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Levitate
New Mega's Stats: 50 / 120 / 180 / 120 / 180 / 50 = 700 BST (+20 Atk, +30 Def, +20 SpA, +30 SpD)
New Moves (if any): Recover, Play Rough
Flavor (Optional): Diancie's diamonds grow into a large diamond shield that levitates with Diancie, which can be used for attack and defense.
Competitive Description: Mega Diancie Y is very bulky with modest offenses, but its low speed means it will pretty much always move last. Recover helps it stay alive longer, and Play Rough finally gives it and its counterpart a physical Fairy STAB. Levitate allows it to avoid one of its weaknesses and hazards, making it difficult to take down.

Name of Pokemon: Gallade
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Galladite Y
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Contrary
New Mega's Stats: 68 / 135 / 135 / 65 / 135 / 80 = 618 BST (+10 Atk, +70 Def, +20 SpD)
New Moves (if any): Recover, Iron Head
Flavor (Optional): Gallade's body becomes covered with a steel armor and its arms become flatter and more shield-like.
Competitive Description: Mega Gallade Y is the defensive counterpart with a Steel typing and greatly increased bulk. Contrary allows it to raise both of its defenses by using Close Combat, but it also prevents setting up with Swords Dance too. Recover is recover, Iron Head is a new STAB to go along with its new typing.

Name of Pokemon: Gardevoir
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Gardevoirite X
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Regenerator
New Mega's Stats: 68 / 65 / 115 / 135 / 115 / 120 = 618 BST (+50 Def, +10 SpA, +40 Spe)
New Moves (if any): Volt Switch, Flash Cannon
Flavor (Optional): Gardevoir's body becomes covered with light steel armor with slim legs allowing it to move around quickly.
Competitive Description: Mega Gardevoir X is also a defensive counterpart, gaining a Steel typing and greatly increased physical bulk. However, it also gains a large speed boost, Volt Switch, and Regenerator to function as a fast pivot.

I'll try to get a few in:

Name of Pokemon: Mega Diance Y
Name of New Mega Stone: Diancite Y
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Fairy Aura
New Mega's Stats: 50 / 135 (+35) / 115 (-35) / 185 (+85) / 180 (+30) / 35 (-15) (BST: 700)
New Moves (if any): Recover

Flavor (Optional): In a state of bliss, Mega Diance Y sheds its rocky shell, revealing the pure fairy underneath. Its light burns those that are evil at the sight of it.

Competitive Description: Rock / Fairy is a pretty bad defensive typing, and a mono-Fairy type is rather unexplored in OU. Base 185 Special Attack and Fairy Aura causes Mega Diance Y to hit like a truck, and it has decent defenses with recovery to make it a dangerous wallbreaker. However, it is held back by subpar HP, awful speed, and a new weakness to Poison.

Name of Pokemon: Mega Gallade Y
Name of New Mega Stone: Galladite Y
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Technician
New Mega's Stats: 68 / 105 (-20) / 95 (+30) / 145 (+80) / 125 (+10) / 80 (BST: 618)
New Moves (if any): Acid Spray, Nasty Plot

Flavor (Optional): The phrase "brains beats brawn" is never more embodied than in Mega Gallade Y. With a stunning array of tools at its disposal, you never know what it will hit you with next.

Competitive Description: Mega Gallade Y has improved bulk and excellent mixed offenses, bringing it to OU standards. However, its true power lies in Technician, its gigantic move pool, and access to Nasty Plot to be a fantastic cleaner. Acid Spray not only hits Fairy-types hard, but also can be substituted for Nasty Plot in certain sets.

Name of Pokemon: Mega Gardevoir X
Name of New Mega Stone: Gardevoirite X
New Mega's Type:

New Mega's Ability: Intimidate
New Mega's Stats: 68 / 95 (+30) / 75 (+10) / 133 (+8) / 135 (+20) / 112 (+ 32) (BST: 618)
New Moves (if any): Dark Pulse, Knock Off

Flavor (Optional): The loss of its original trainer has has turned Mega Gardevoir X's heart black with darkness. It's sadness results in outbursts of uncontrollable power.

Competitive Description: With an improved typing and buffed stats around the board, Mega Gardevoir X can fit a variety of roles on a team. This is compounded by access to Intimidate for improved "bulk", a ridiculous movepool, and fantastic speed. However, it is easily revenge killed due to poor physical bulk and a lack of immediate power.

I like the direction you took with this, but the stats scare me. A Rock Polish set with that 185 Special Attack and boosted Fairy-moves plus really good 50/120/180 bulk and a great typing seems really hard to stop once Bullet Punchers are eliminated. To fix this, I'd recommend either lowering the Special Attack, lowering the Speed further, and/or giving it a worse ability

Thanks! I forgot about Rock Polish after I got rid of the Rock typing. I cut the speed down to the point where pretty much any scarfer and some fast mons outspeed it at +2. I might edit it further.

Flavor (Optional): This and the Mega Gardevoir X sub below is the literal definition of a role reversal in every sense of the word, both Pokemon-wise and real world gender roles-wise.
Competitive Description: See Gardevoir

Name of Pokemon: Gardevoir
Name of New Mega Stone [X or Y]: Gardevoirite X
New Mega's Type: Psychic/Fairy
New Mega's Ability: Serene Grace
New Mega's Stats: 68 / 165 (+100) / 95 (+30) / 65 (-60) / 115 / 110 (+30) = 618 BST
New Moves (if any): Play Rough, Swords Dance
Flavor (Optional): This and the Mega Gallade Y sub above is the literal definition of a role reversal in every sense of the word, both Pokemon-wise and real world gender roles-wise.
Competitive Description: I just thought it would be funny to give these evolutionary partners each others' stat distributions, but with the unique properties they retain, they can actually function quite differently. Mega Gallade Y can use its powerful STAB moves in Psychic and Focus Blast, supported by Vacuum Wave and Hidden Power/Thunderbolt/Flash Cannon/Grass Knot/Icy Wind to be a great late game cleaner or even sweeper with Calm Mind. On the other hand, there's Mega Gardevoir X, who's access to Swords Dance, Taunt, Thunder Wave, and a Zen Headbutt that has a 40% flinch chance to be one annoying setup-based Stallbreaker, who can even threaten STAB Play Rough against Mega Sableye X.
