Ghost
========

Mega Sableye serves as an exceptional mixed defensive wall for Ghost-type teams, and its bulk is complemented by reliable recovery in the form of Recover. Mega Sableye's incredible defensive stats allow it to take hard hits from powerful threats like Mega Sharpedo and Blacephalon and burn or KO them. Furthermore, an exceptional Dark / Ghost typing means that Mega Sableye provides Ghost teams with a Psychic immunity and takes neutral damage from the Ghost type's two main weaknesses: Ghost and Dark, allowing it to switch into Gengar and Alolan Muk. Mega Sableye's Magic Bounce ability allows it to reflect all forms of entry hazards and status moves, protecting its teammates from being withered down by residual damage. Before Mega Evolving, Sableye has the Prankster ability, which allows it to take advantage of its amazing utility moves like Will-O-Wisp to immediately neuter Pokemon like Scizor, Bisharp, and Mega Pinsir. However, Mega Sableye relies heavily on utility moves and lacks an offensive presence, which makes it susceptible to becoming setup bait for special sweepers that do not fear Will-O-Wisp, such as Suicune and Volcarona. Furthermore, although Mega Sableye has solid bulk, it is easily broken by the tier's most impressive wallbreakers like Mega Charizard Y and Tapu Koko. Mega Sableye's abysmal Speed prevents it from quickly burning threats or removing items from wallbreakers like Diggersby.

Moves
========

Recover gives Mega Sableye longevity, thus enabling it to fulfill its role as a mixed wall more efficiently. Will-O-Wisp allows it to burn physical attackers, which cripples them and makes walling them much easier. Knock Off can be used to cripple bulky and offensive Pokemon alike by removing their items such as Black Sludge from Toxapex and Life Orb from Landorus. Protect allows Mega Sableye to do three things: safely Mega Evolve against threats such as Mega Diancie, scout moves against Choice-locked attackers like Victini, and force High Jump Kick mind games against Mega Lopunny. Foul Play punishes physical setup sweepers, especially some like Mega Charizard X and Substitute users like Gyarados that can circumvent Will-O-Wisp. Fake Out can be used instead of Protect to Mega Evolve against threats and get some residual damage on the opposing team while preventing them from recovering or setting up on a predicted Protect. However, it can only be used on the first turn in and does not help Mega Sableye beat answers like Mega Lopunny.

Set Details
========

248 HP EVs maximize Mega Sableye's bulk while minimizing potential Stealth Rock damage. 104 Defense EVs give Mega Sableye the ability to take powerful physical attacks like Stakataka's Continental Crush. 156 Special Defense EVs supported by a Careful nature allow Mega Sableye to handle special attackers, even surviving Mega Dance's Moonblast. Magic Bounce allows Mega Sableye to shut down entry hazard setters and status spreaders. Prankster gives Sableye the possibility to use its utility moves with priority before Mega Evolution.

Usage Tips
========

Try to Mega Evolve as soon as possible, especially in matchups where entry hazards must be avoided at all costs like against Poison and Steel. Use Protect when Mega Evolving against powerful wallbreakers and other threats like Mold Breaker Excadrill. Also, Protect should also be used to scout moves from Choice-locked attackers like Victini and switch out to the appropriate check if needed. Additonally, Protect can force Mega Lopunny to miss High Jump Kick and take crash damage and stall out Fire Blasts from Mega Charizard Y. While Mega Evolving early is important, Sableye can forego this to get important burns with Prankster Will-O-Wisp. After getting off a priority burn, Sableye can take advantage of Prankster to get priority recovery. Will-O-Wisp should be used to cripple physical attackers; however, it risks letting in threats like Volcarona and Mega Charizard Y. Mega Sableye should be kept healthy so that it can safely come in often. It should switch in on common hazard setters and status spreaders like Toxapex and Ferrothorn but avoid those that threaten it like Heatran and Clefable. If running Foul Play, spam it against physical setup sweepers like Gyarados and Scizor. Take advantage of opposing walls like Chansey and Toxapex to Recover. Avoid being burned by opposing Magic Bounce or Mew's Synchronize because this greatly hinders Knock Off and Foul Play's damage output.

Team Options

========

Choice Scarf Blacephalon can be either an amazing wallbreaker or a sweeper to handle the more offensive threats that Mega Sableye cannot such as Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko. In return, Mega Sableye allows Blacephalon to come in more often by preventing residual damage from entry hazards, and it can take the Ghost- and Dark-type attacks that would KO Blacephalon. Other sets like Choice Specs are also able to accomplish this, but they cannot beat fast threats like Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko. Gengar is another offensive Pokemon that assists Mega Sableye by providing an offensive presence to take out threats, such as Clefable and, if running Choice Scarf, Tapu Koko. Gengar is also able to remove Toxic Spikes, which is necessary because Toxapex beats Mega Sableye one-on-one if it gets poisoned. Mimikyu can clean up Dark-types that Mega Sableye has weakened during the battle. It also functions as a blanket check against setup sweepers that Mega Sableye cannot beat such as Volcarona, Refresh Mega Altaria, and Taunt Mega Gyarados. Alolan Marowak and Golurk can set up Stealth Rock and check Electric-types like Tapu Koko to support Mega Sableye. Jellicent provides a Water-type immunity to aid Mega Sableye against threats like Suicune and Keldeo. Decidueye assists Mega Sableye by removing hazards like Toxic Spikes and trapping defensive threats like Mantine with Spirit Shackle.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options

Ghost
--------
A Calm Mind set with maximized Defense EVs instead of mixed defenses and an offensive move like Snarl or Dark Pulse allows Mega Sableye to become a tank and deal with special attackers. However, it is easily phazed and cannot comfortably set up on numerous wallbreakers such as Landorus and Mega Charizard Y. Toxic allows it to whittle down bulky Pokemon that do not care about being burned like Mandibuzz and Porygon2, but this requires losing a utility move that is much more useful such as Will-O-Wisp or Protect. Metal Burst allows Mega Sableye to catch threatening wallbreakers like Mega Diancie off guard and take them out, but it is very situational and less reliable compared to its arsenal of utility moves.

Check and Counters
===================

Ghost
--------
**Fairy-types**: Mega Sableye is unable to effectively threaten Fairy-type Pokemon like Mega Diancie and is OHKOed or 2HKOed by their STAB attacks.

**Special Setup Sweepers**: Pokemon like Suicune are able to comfortably set up on Mega Sableye because they are not threatened by being burned or hit by Foul Play and can carry moves like Substitute.

**Poison**: If poisoned by Toxic Spikes, Alolan Muk's Poison Touch, or any poison inducing move, Mega Sableye is crippled.

**Mold Breaker**: Excadrill is able to set up Stealth Rock on Mega Sableye and use Toxic on it, while Mega Gyarados can Taunt it before freely setting up to clean the team.

**Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard Y and Tapu Koko are able to break Mega Sableye without being threatened by it.

Ghost
========

* Sableye has an exceptional Dark / Ghost typing which means that it provides Ghost teams with a Psychic immunity and takes neutral damage from the Ghost-type's two main weaknesses: Ghost- and Dark-types.
* Mega Sableye's Magic Bounce ability allows it to deflect all forms of entry hazards and status moves
* Before Mega Evolving, Sableye has the Prankster ability which allows it to take advantage of it's amazing utility moves like Will-O-Wisp
* Will-O-Wisp gives Sableye the possibility of neutering physical attackers like Scizor, Bisharp and Mega Pinsir
* Recover provides Sableye with reliable recovery Mega Sableye having reliable recovery could be baked into one of the other bullets about its bulk
* Mega Sableye has incredible defensive stats that allows it to take strong hits from powerful threats like Mega Sharpedo and Blacephalon What does it do to these pokemon in return?
* Despite it's impressive mixed defenses, Mega Sableye has a very weak HP stat Cut this line
* Mega Sableye relies heavily on utility moves and lacks an offensive presence which makes it susceptible to becoming setup bait for special sweepers who do not fear Willo-O-Wisp such as Sableye and Volcarona
* Although it has solid bulk, it is easily broken by the tiers most impressive wallbreakers like Mega Charizard Y and Tapu Koko
* The Dark-type, which has the biggest physical threats for Ghost-types, cannot be burned by Prankster Will-O-Wisp I would cut this from the overview, since 90% of the time you want to mega evolve as soon as possible anyways. This makes a good usage tip.

*You need to explicitly state Mega Sableye's role on ghost as a mixed defensive wall somewhere, ideally the first bullet.
*Add a bullet about Mega Sableye's terrible speed.

[SET]
name: Utility (Ghost)
move 1: Recover
move 2: Will-O-Wisp
move 3: Knock Off

Moves
========

* Recover makes it so that Mega Sableye has longevity in the game, thus being able to complete it's role more efficiently
* Will-O-Wisp allows it to burn physicals attackers, rendering them useless in the match "Useless" is an overstatement, so I'd just say it cripples them
* Knock Off can be used to cripple bulky and offensive Pokemon alike by removing their items such as Black Sludge for Toxapex or Life Orb for Landorus
* Protect allows Sableye to do 3 things: safely Mega Evolve against threats such as Mega Diancie, scout moves and force mind games with Mega Lopunny
* Foul Play is a way to prevent physical attackers from setting up, especially those unaffected by Will-O-Wisp like Mega Charizard-X and Substitute users such as Gyarados
* Metal Burst is a way to catch powerful, threatening wallbreakers and eliminating them I would move Metal Burst to OO and move Fake Out up to the moves section in its place

Set Details
========

* 248 HP to maximize Mega Sableye's bulk while minimizing potential rock damage
* 116 Defense EVs supported by a careful nature give Mega Sableye the ability to take power physical attacks like Stakataka's Continental Crush Careful nature doesn't support defense EVs, it boosts SpD
* 144 Special Defense EVs allows it to handle special attackers, even living Mega Diancie's Moonblast and killing it with Metal Burst
* Magic Bounce allows Mega Sableye to shut down hazard setters and status spreaders
* Prankster on Sableye gives it the possibility to have priority on it's utility moves before Mega Evolution

Usage Tips
========

* Immediately Mega Evolve Mega Sableye at the start of the battle, especially in matchups where hazards must be avoided at all costs like Poison and Steel. I'd rephrase to say "Try to mega evolve as soon as possible", since there are a handful of situations where you won't want to lead Mega Sableye, even with Fake Out / Protect.
* Use Protect when Mega Evolving against powerful wallbreakers and other threats like Mold Breaker Excadrill
* Protect should also be used to scout moves, force Mega Lopunny to miss High Jump Kick and to stall Fire Blasts from Mega Charizard Y
* While Mega Evolving early is important, Sableye can forego this to get important burns with Prankster Will-O-Wisp
* Will-O-Wisp should be used to run physical attackers, be wary of Pokemon that are not affected by it like Volcarona Rephrase it to "Will o Wisp risk letting in threats such as Volcarona / Mega Charizard Y.
* Mega Sableye should be kept healthy so that it can safely come in often and to take out strong wallbreakers while running Metal Burst Remove, since Metal Burst is OO.
* Metal Burst should not be revealed too hastily in order to catch wallbreakers by surprise See above
* Mega Sableye should switch-in on common hazard setters and status spreaders overstatement give some examples of Pokemon Mega Sableye can commonly switch in on, and perhaps some examples of hazard setters that threaten it (Clefable, Heatran)
* If running Foul Play, spam it against physical set up mons like Gyerados and Bisharp
* Take advantage of opposing walls to recover

*Add a bullet for avoiding Burns if possible since it cripples Knock Off and Foul Play

Team Options
========

* Blacephalon can be either an amazing wallbreaker or sweeper to handle the more offensive threats that Mega Sableye cannot. In return, Mega Sableye allows Blacephalon to come in more often, not fearing residual damage from entry hazards and it can take the Ghost- and Dark-type attacks that would kill Blacephalon. Give examples of threats that Blacephalon handles for Mega Sableye
* Gengar is another offensive Pokemon that assists Mega Sableye by providing an offensive presence to take out threats, in particular the Fairy-types that it cannot touch. Mention absorbing Toxic Spikes, since setters like Toxapex beat Mega Sableye 1v1 so can find opportunities to set them
* Mimikyu can clean up the Dark-types that Mega Sableye has weakened during the battle. Mimikyu acts as a blanket check for set up sweepers that Mega Sableye can't manage such as X, Y, Z.
* Dhelmise & Decidueye assist Mega Sableye by removing hazards that Mega Sableye missed, in particular things like Toxic Spikes which cripple it. They are also able to trap threats with Anchor Shot and Spirit Shackle respectively.
* Alolan Marowak and Golurk can set up Stealth Rock and serve as Electric-type attack switch-ins to support Mega Sableye who has trouble with strong special attacks like those. Mention some sources of "strong special (electric) attacks" such as Tapu Koko
* Jellicent provides a Water-type immunity to aid Mega Sableye against threats like Suicune and Keldeo

* Fake Out can be used instead of Protect to Mega Evolve against threats, but does not bring anything else to Mega Sableye. It deals small chip damage and prevents targets from using the predicted protect to recover off damage or set up, but can only be used on the first turn in and doesn't help mega sableye manage threats such as Mega Lopuny.
* Calm Mind with maximized Defense EVs instead of mixed defenses with an offensive move like Snarl or Dark Pulse allows it to become a setup sweeper and deal with special attackers, however it is easily phased and cannot comfortably set up on numerous wallbreakers such as Landorus and Mega Charizard Y.
* Toxic allows it to wither down bulky Pokemon who do not care about being burned like Mandibuzz Explain the downside / opportunity cost of running Toxic over (???)

**Poison**: If Mega Sableye gets poisoned by Toxic Spikes, Alolan Muk's Poison Touch or any poison inducing move, it will become useless in the battle since it can't safely take hits or switch-in "Useless" is an overstatement
**Pokemon with Mold Breaker**: Excadrill is able to set up Stealth Rock on Mega Sableye and poison it while Mega Gyarados can taunt it before freely setting up to clean the team Excadrill is also able to Toxic Mega Sableye

Might check later tonight, but you need 248 HP + 156 SpD EVs for Mega Diancie, I'm pretty sure. Can come right out of Defense.
240 SpA Diancie-Mega Moonblast vs. 248 HP / 144+ SpD Sableye-Mega: 254-302 (83.8 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

unless you mean max Spa Mega Diancie, I think this is fine?

Moves

* Recover makes it so that Mega Sableye has longevity in the game, thus being able to complete it's role as a ___ more efficiently
* Will-O-Wisp allows it to burn physicals attackers, crippling them Reword this instead of just "crippling them"
* Knock Off can be used to cripple bulky and offensive Pokemon alike by removing their items such as Black Sludge for Toxapex or Life Orb for Landorus
* Protect allows Sableye to do 3 things: safely Mega Evolve against threats such as Mega Diancie, scout moves and force mind games with Mega Lopunny put in an example of scouting moves (specifically say against Choiced attackers), and you need to rewrite the mega lop part. Say something more specific about forcing 50/50s for HJK
* Foul Play is a way to prevent physical attackers from setting up, especially those unaffected by Will-O-Wisp like Mega Charizard-X and Substitute users such as Gyarados This doesn't prevent physical attackers from setting up, it punishes them for setting up. It also allows MSab to hit physically-based Pokemon more strongly, giving it a threatening presence beyond pure utility.
* Fake Out can be used instead of Protect to Mega Evolve against threats and get some residual damage on the opposing team while preventing them from recovering or setting up on a predicted Protect. However, it can only be used on the first turn in and does not threaten Mega Sableye's threats like Mega Lopunny

Toxic allows it to wither down bulky Pokemon who that do not care about being burned like Mandibuzz and Porygon2, but this requires losing a utility move that is much more useful such as Will-O-Wisp or Protect. Metal Burst allows Mega Sableye to catch threatening wallbreakers off guard by taking and take them out like Mega Diancie, but it is very situational and less reliable compared to it's its arsenal of utility moves.

[OVERVIEW]

Ghost
========

Mega Sableye serves as an exceptional mixed defensive wall for the Ghost-type, and its bulk is complemented by reliable recovery in the form of Recover. Mega Sableye's incredible defensive stats allow it to take hard hits from powerful threats like Mega Sharpedo and Blacephalon and burn or KO them. Furthermore, an exceptional Dark / Ghost typing means that Sableye Mega Sableye provides Ghost teams with a Psychic immunity and takes neutral damage from the Ghost type's two main weaknesses: Ghost and Dark, allowing it to switch into Gengar and Alolan Muk. Mega Sableye's Magic Bounce ability allows it to reflect all forms of entry hazards and status moves, protecting its teammates from being withered down by the residual damage. Before Mega Evolving, Sableye also has the Prankster ability, which allows it to take advantage of its amazing utility moves like Will-O-Wisp to immediately neuter Pokemon like Scizor, Bisharp, and Mega Pinsir. However, Mega Sableye relies heavily on utility moves and lacks an offensive presence which makes it susceptible to becoming setup bait for special sweepers that do not fear Will-O-Wisp such as Suicune and Volcarona. Furthermore, although Mega Sableye has solid bulk, it is easily broken by the tier's most impressive wallbreakers like Mega Charizard Y and Tapu Koko,.(AP)(RC) Mega Sableye's and its abysmal Speed prevents it from quickly burning threats or removing items from wallbreakers like Diggersby.

Recover gives Mega Sableye longevity in the game, thus enabling it to fulfill its role as a mixed wall more efficiently. Will-O-Wisp allows it to burn physicals attackers, which cripples them and makes walling them much easier. Knock Off can be used to cripple bulky and offensive Pokemon alike by removing their items such as Black Sludge from Toxapex and Life Orb from Landorus. Protect allows Mega Sableye to do three things: safely Mega Evolve against threats such as Mega Diancie, scout moves against Choiced attackers like Victini, and force High Jump Kick mind games against Mega Lopunny. Foul Play is a way to punish physical attackers for setting up, hitting them harder and giving Sableye a threatening presence outside of utility. This is especially for foes unaffected by Will-O-Wisp like Mega Charizard X and Substitute users such as Gyarados. However, it can only be used on the first turn in and does not threaten help Mega Sableye's beat threats like Mega Lopunny.

Set Details
========

248 HP EVs maximizes Mega Sableye's bulk while minimizing potential Stealth Rock damage. 104 Defense EVs give Mega Sableye the ability to take powerful physical attacks like Stakataka's Continental Crush. 156 Special Defense EVs supported by the Careful nature allow Mega Sableye to handle special attackers, even surviving Mega Diancie's Moonblast and killing it with Metal Burst. Magic Bounce allows Mega Sableye to shut down entry hazard setters and status spreaders. Prankster gives Sableye the possibility to use its utility moves with priority before Mega Evolution.

Usage Tips
========

Try to Mega Evolve Sableye as soon as possible, especially in matchups where entry hazards must be avoided at all costs like against Poison and Steel. Use Protect when Mega Evolving against powerful wallbreakers and other threats like Mold Breaker Excadrill. Also, Protect should also be used to scout moves from Choiced attackers like Victini and switch out to the appropriate check if needed. Additonally, Protect can force Mega Lopunny to miss High Jump Kick and stall Fire Blasts from Mega Charizard Y. While Mega Evolving early is important, Sableye can forego this to get important burns with Prankster Will-O-Wisp. After getting off a priority burn, Sableye can take advantage of Prankster to get priority recovery. In fact, Will-O-Wisp should be used to cripple physical attackers; however, it risks letting in threats like Volcarona and Mega Charizard Y. Take advantage of opposing walls like Chansey and Toxapex to rRecover. Avoid being burned by opposing Magic Bounce or Mew's Synchronize because this greatly hinders Knock Off and Foul Play's damage output.

Gengar is another offensive Pokemon that assists Mega Sableye by providing an offensive presence to take out threats, in particular the Fairy-types that it cannot touch such as Clefable and, if running Choice Scarf, Tapu Koko. Gengar is also able to remove Toxic Spikes, which is necessary because Toxapex beats Mega Sableye one-on-one if it gets poisoned. Mimikyu can clean up the Dark-types that Mega Sableye has weakened during the battle. It also functions as a blanket check against setup sweepers that Mega Sableye cannot beat such as Volcarona, Refresh Mega Altaria, and Taunt Mega Gyarados. Alolan Marowak and Golurk can set up Stealth Rock and serve as Electric-type attack switch-ins check Electric-types like Tapu Koko to support Mega Sableye, as it has trouble against Pokemon that use those such as Tapu Koko. Jellicent provides a Water-type immunity to aid Mega Sableye against threats like Suicune and Keldeo. Decidueye assists Mega Sableye by removing hazards that like Toxic Spikes. (AP) Mega Sableye missed, in particular things like Toxic Spikes, which cripple it. With the use of Spirit Shackle, it is able to trap and eliminate Pokemon like Mantine that can stall out Mega Sableye. Decidueye assists Mega Sableye by removing hazards like Toxic Spikes and trapping defensive threats like Mantine with Spirit Shackle.
