[OVERVIEW]
Mega Slowbro's incredible physical bulk combined with its Water/Psychic typing allows it to check physical wallbreakers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Primal Groudon, Kyurem-Black, and Mega Blaziken. Additionally, its other strengths lie in its very low speed tier, underspeeding every wall besides Mega Sableye and Ferrothorn so that it can suppress abilities with Core Enforcer easier, as well as pivot and switch in its teammates without them taking damage. However, Mega Slowbro has a weakness in its subpar Special Defense, which makes it vulnerable to special and mixed attackers like Mega Mewtwo Y and Xerneas. Its typing also curses it with Dark, Ghost, Electric, and Bug weaknesses, meaning that common support moves such as Knock Off, Spectral Thief, Volt Switch, and U-Turn wear it down easily. These typings are also common coverage on offensive wallbreakers, preventing Mega Slowbro from checking them reliably. Mega Slowbro struggles against common walls, being unable to threaten them effectively while they can set hazards, chip it with special utility moves like Core Enforcer, or cripple it with status. It fears hazards because it needs to be healthy in order to reliably check physical attackers, and requires team scouting to check whether said physical attackers carry special moves.

Moves
========
Anchor Shot is a trapping move that has no immunities, and also the useful ability to hit supereffectively against Mega Diancie and Kyrurem-Black. It allows Slowbro-Mega to guarantee that the Pokemon it checks is eliminated, unless it carries a pivot move. It also traps Imposter and PP stalls it, making it self-improof. Alternatively, Core Enforcer takes advantage of Mega Slowbro's lack of speed and removes abilities such as Poison Heal, Contrary, and Tough Claws from the opponent. This allows it to easily KO Pokemon that rely on these abilities, like Regigigas and Mega Mewtwo X.
Spectral Thief steals boosts from setup users like Mega Mewtwo X and Primal Groudon. Scald is another option for a STAB special move that can cripple physical attackers to support the team further. It also pressures walls that lack Misty Surge or Comatose by forcing them to use recovery more often and can cripple Poison Heal users if it burns them before their Toxic Orb activates. Parting Shot is a pivoting move that maintains momentum while being blocked by its own Soundproof to beat Imposter. If Anchor Shot is not used, U-Turn is the better option, chipping opponents while not being blocked by opposing Imposter or Magic Bounce and Soundproof users.

Set Details
========
Minimum Speed investment, 0 IVs, and a Sassy nature maximizes its special bulk while giving Mega Slowbro the best chances of underspeeding to pivot. A Relaxed nature can also be used to further its physical longevity, particularly against powerful physical wallbreakers like Bolt Strike Primal Groudon. Safety Goggles blocks Spore and sand damage, while Darkinium Z gives Mega Slowbro a powerful support move in fully recovering a Pokemon of choice. It also lowers damage taken from the opponent's Knock Off and prevents it from being tricked. Soundproof blocks Boomburst from opposing -ate users such as Mega Diancie and Kyurem-Black, while tanking their Extreme Speed and coverage moves thanks to Mega Slowbro's physical bulk.

Usage Tips
========
Mega Slowbro can comfortably switch in on -ate abusers once their sets are revealed, but scout Mega Diancie to make sure that they don't have another set like Magic Guard, or a special coverage move that Mega Slowbro doesn't resist, like Earth Power or Volt Switch. It should be wary of Choice Specs coverage moves that aren't sound-based, such as the aforementioned Volt Switch. Use Anchor Shot and Scald liberally, as both have a large amount of PP; Anchor Shot traps offensive Pokemon while Scald is a STAB that can spread burns that provides good chip. Parting Shot can also be used generously to lower stats and gain momentum, but be careful of Magic Bounce and other Soundproof users, because they cause Mega Slowbro to lose momentum instead. If Mega Slowbro is using Darkinium Z, be careful when activating Z-Parting Shot, for Soundproof and Magic Bounce users as well as Imposter can switch in and prevent the Z-effect from happening.

Team Options
========
Specially defensive walls are essential to tank special and mixed wallbreakers like Adaptability Mega Gengar and Refrigerate Kyurem-White; such examples include Regenvest Primal Kyogre, Registeel, and Ho-Oh. Regenvest Dialga is especially helpful, as it creates a nice defensive core with Mega Slowbro: it walls Bug, Electric, and the (mostly) special Ghost-type moves, while Slowbro covers Fighting and the (mostly) physical Ground-type moves. Checks to Mega Tyranitar, Yveltal, and Mega Gyarados, such as Mega Audino and Xerneas, cover the Knock Off weakness that afflicts Mega Slowbro. Yveltal in particular appreciates Mega Slowbro's ability to handle Diancie, Kyurem-Black, and Mega Mewtwo X, all of which threaten Yveltal. In return, it checks Dark and Ghost-types like Mega Gyarados and Mega Gengar. Chansey also synergizes well with Mega Slowbro. Imposter checks Shedinja and scouts Mega Diancie. Fur Coat Chansey, while not having as great of a defensive typing, has incredible special bulk, as well as the ability to check most mixed attackers. Shedinja checks such as the aforementioned Imposter Chansey, Giratina, and Aegislash are needed for their immunity to Endeavor. Mixed walls like defensive Primal Groudon and Flash Fire Registeel check other Mega Diancie sets, such as Specs -ate and Magic Guard. A Magic Bounce user, defensive Z-move user, or Revelation Dance user is important to check Normalize Gengar. Magic Bounce Mega Audino, Prankster Zygarde with Thousand Waves and Groundium Z, and Regenvest Yveltal are good examples. If Core Enforcer is not used, checks to Poison Heal such as Flash Fire Registeel with Entrainment or Regenvest Dialga are necessary to prevent offensive sets from setting up on Mega Slowbro. On the offensive side, wallbreakers such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Kartana, and Mega Mewtwo X, appreciate Mega Slowbro's ability to wall revenge killers and provide slow pivots to maximize their longevity and offensive presence. In return, they can heavily pressure the walls that Mega Slowbro struggles against. Mega Mewtwo Y beats Giratina, Zygarde-Complete, and Primal Kyogre; Kartana beats Fur Coat Chansey, Mega Audino, and Primal Kyogre; and Mega Mewtwo X beats Fur Coat Chansey, Registeel, and Primal Kyogre.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Mega Slowbro can use an Assault Vest and Regenerator to patch up its low Special Defense. However, the inability to recover in a pinch gives it more of a pivoting role, and Mega Slowbro loves to directly confront wallbreakers. Unaware is an appealing option so that Mega Slowbro does not have to worry about boosted physical hits, which is compounded with its resistance to Photon Geyser and Sunsteel Strike, although it is weak to Power Trip. It also cannot take special hits well, requiring a special teammate that can check set-up. It can also use Fur Coat to tank even supereffective physical hits from the likes of Mega Mewtwo X, Regigigas, and Primal Groudon. However, it loses its ability to check Pixilate and Aerilate users. Poison Heal is an option to allow Mega Slowbro to better take on physical attackers and walls due to its constant healing and inability to be affected by status. It can be inconsistent, however.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Special and Mixed Attackers:** Mega Slowbro's special bulk is lackluster, causing it to be 2HKO'd or even OHKO'd by special attacks from attackers that it doesn't resist, like Magic Guard Mega Diancie's Light of Ruin and Choice Specs Kyurem-White's Draco Meteor.

**Dark-types:** Mega Tyranitar, Mega Gyarados, and Yveltal all threaten Mega Slowbro with their supereffective STAB. Yveltal is especially dangerous, as its Revelation Dance hits specially.

**Ghost-types:** Mega Gengar and Lunala can both OHKO Mega Slowbro with their hard-hitting Moongeist Beams or Spooky Plate Judgments.

**Super-effective Coverage:** Even support moves such as U-Turn, Volt Switch, Knock Off, and Spectral Thief can chip Mega Slowbro, which usually forces it to recover the next turn, potentially causing a loss in momentum.

**Walls:** Walls that aren't vulnerable to Mega Slowbro's attacks, such as Registeel, Giratina, and Mega Audino, can switch in freely and either lay hazards or cripple Mega Slowbro with burn or poison.

before i do anything, gonna have to ask you to fix the formatting on the analysis. bb code bullet points are fine but sub bullet points like the ones in team options wont do much bc it wont be on the actual analysis. also, checks and counters shouldnt be bolded, and overview shouldnt be bolded either. also, analysis credits should have the string of numbers in your profile url next to them.

  • Mega Slowbro is an incredible physical wall; combined with its Water/Psychic typing, it can check physical wallbreakers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Primal Groudon, and Kyurem-Black.
  • combined isnt the right word here, unless you change the sentence to "mega slowbro's physical bulk combined w/ its... allow it to check...
  • Its other strengths lie in its 130 base Special Attack, which allows it to chip opponents for decent damage, and its great i wouldnt call it great, as you still have to take a hit before you do anything. just say lowspeed tier, underspeeding every wall bar Mega Sableye and Ferrothorn. mention why this is significant
  • Mega Slowbro’s main weakness is its subpar Special Defense, which makes it vulnerable to special and mixed attackers like Mega Diancie, Mega Rayquaza, and Xerneas.
  • Additionally, its typing curses it with Dark, Ghost, Electric, and Bug weaknesses, meaning that common support moves such as Knock Off, Spectral Thief, Volt Switch, and U-Turn wear it down easily.
  • tie in somewhere how those moves also being reasonably common coverage on offensive mons means it cant take on many pokemon reliably
  • mention in the overview how it can't take on walls, maybe tie it into the last point though id put it in a new one
  • talk about how it needs a lot of team support because of its only redeeming factor being its defense

Moves
========
  • Anchor Shot is a trapping move that has no immunities, and also the useful ability to hit supereffectively against Diancie-Mega and Kyrurem-Black. have to mention how it traps pokemon more. mention how it lets slowbro beat mons it checks and also mention why trapping its checks can be good
  • Core Enforcer takes advantage of Mega Slowbro's lack of speed and removes abilities such as Poison Heal, Contrary, and Tough Claws from the opponent. mention common users which hate this (gigas, mmx)
  • Spectral Thief steals boosts from setup users like Mega Mewtwo X and Primal Groudon.
  • Scald is another option for a STAB special move that can cripple physical attackers to support the team further. It also pressures walls that lack Misty Surge or Comatose by forcing them to use recovery more often. mention poison heal here
  • Shore Up is reliable recovery.
  • Parting Shot is a pivoting move that maintains momentum while being blocked by its own Soundproof to beat Imposter.

Usage Tips
========
  • Mega Slowbro can comfortably switch in on -ate abusers, but scout Mega Diancie and Mega Rayquaza to make sure that they don't have another set like Magic Guard or Triage, respectively. not even another set, just coverage like volt switch earth power etc sicks slowbro so id be scared of that. Make sure they aren't variants with Choice Specs, either, because their special attacks will do massive damage to Mega Slowbro. rephrase this to say that it should be wary of choice specs coverage moves that arent sound, emphasize the aforementioned volt switch
  • Use Anchor Shot and Scald liberally, as both have a large amount of PP; Anchor Shot chips offensive Pokemon very easily i wouldnt ever list this as a benefit of anchor shot, just say it traps. while Scald is a STAB that can spread burns if chip belongs anywhere, it's definitely here. Parting Shot can also be used generously to lower stats and gain momentum, but be careful of Magic Bounce users, because they cause Mega Slowbro to lose momentum instead. also soundproofers
  • Against a non-Normal setup user, use Spectral Thief followed by recovery, and then continue to chip the opponent. uh, specify the setup user and also this is really specific, i dont think this is important enough to warrant a usage tip especially since it's intuitive for the most part.
  • When using Darkinium Z, be careful when activating Z-Parting Shot, for Soundproof and Magic Bounce users as well as Imposter can switch in and prevent the Z-effect from happening.

Fur Coat Chansey, while not having resistances of Steel-types just say while it doesnt have as great a defensive typing, im putting it here bc gpers might interpret it as that or just "doesnt resist steel", has incredible special bulk, as well as the ability to check most mixed attackers.
  • Wallbreakers, such as Mega Mewtwo Y, Kartana, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Mewtwo X, appreciate Mega Slowbro's ability to wall revenge killers and provide slow pivots to maximize their longevity and offensive presence. In return, they can heavily pressure the walls that Mega Slowbro struggles against. Mega Mewtwo Y beats Giratina, Zygarde-Complete, and Primal Kyogre; Kartana beats Fur Coat Chansey, Mega Audino, and Primal Kyogre; Mega Rayquaza beats Giratina, Zygarde-Complete, and Mega Audino; and Mega Mewtwo X beats Fur Coat Chansey, Registeel, and Primal Kyogre.
  • If Core Enforcer is not used, checks to Poison Heal such as Flash Fire Registeel with Entrainment are necessary to prevent offensive sets from setting up on Mega Slowbro. you have to mention a ph kyogre check here
  • Shedinja checks such as the aforementioned Imposter Chansey no, this doesnt check shed, shed checks it, Giratina, and Aegislash are needed for their immunity to Endeavor.
  • Mixed walls like Fur Coat Chansey you mentioned this earlier, select a different example and Flash Fire Registeel check other Mega Diancie sets.
  • Checks to Mega Tyranitar, Yveltal, and Mega Gyarados, such as Mega Audino and Xerneas, cover the Knock Off weakness that afflicts Mega Slowbro.

  • Its other strengths lie in its very low speed tier, underspeeding every wall besides Mega Sableye and Ferrothorn so that it can pivot and switch in its teammates without them taking damage. Also note letting it activate Core Enforcer more often
  • Mega Slowbro’s main weakness is its subpar Special Defense, which makes it vulnerable to special and mixed attackers like Mega Diancie, Mega Rayquaza, and Xerneas. Hmm not too sure about Mega Diancie especially as most Pixi sets get completely stopped by the Sproof set, I would honestly just change that to MMY instead as most of its sets deal a hefty chunk to Meg Bro.
  • Additionally, its typing curses it with Dark, Ghost, Electric, and Bug weaknesses, meaning that common support moves such as Knock Off, Spectral Thief, Volt Switch, and U-Turn wear it down easily. These typings are also common coverage on offensive wallbreakers, preventing Mega Slowbro from checking them reliably.
  • Mega Slowbro struggles against common walls, being unable to threaten them effectively while they can set hazards, chip it with special utility moves like Core Enforcer, or cripple it with status.
  • It fears hazards because it needs to be healthy in order to reliably check physical attackers, and requires team scouting to check whether said physical attackers carry special moves.

Moves
========
  • Anchor Shot is a trapping move that has no immunities, and also the useful ability to hit supereffectively against Mega Diancie and Kyrurem-Black. It allows Slowbro-Mega to guarantee that the Pokemon it checks is eliminated, unless it carries a pivot move. Also note how it traps Impster and PP stalls which is extremely valuable.
  • Core Enforcer takes advantage of Mega Slowbro's lack of speed and removes abilities such as Poison Heal, Contrary, and Tough Claws from the opponent. This allows it to easily KO Pokemon that rely on these abilities, like Regigigas and Mega Mewtwo X.
  • Spectral Thief steals boosts from setup users like Mega Mewtwo X and Primal Groudon.
  • Scald is another option for a STAB special move that can cripple physical attackers to support the team further. It also pressures walls that lack Misty Surge or Comatose by forcing them to use recovery more often and can cripple Poison Heal users if it burns them before their Toxic Orb activates.
  • Shore Up is reliable recovery. Not necessary
  • Parting Shot is a pivoting move that maintains momentum while being blocked by its own Soundproof to beat Imposter.
  • If Anchor Shot is not used, U-Turn is the better option, chipping opponents while not being blocked by opposing Imposter or Magic Bounce and Soundproof users.
Set Details
========
  • Minimum Speed investment, 0 IVs, and a Sassy nature maximizes its special bulk while giving Mega Slowbro the best chances of underspeeding to pivot. A Relaxed nature can also be used to further its physical longevity. Mention that Relax sets can better handle stuff like Bolt Strike Primal Groudon which can be nice for certain teams.
  • Safety Goggles blocks Spore and sand damage while Darkinium Z prevents Knock Off from boosting in power and also gives Slowbro-Mega a powerful support move in fully recovering a Pokemon of choice. You can also mention it preventing Trick.
  • Soundproof blocks Boomburst from opposing -ate users such as Mega Diancie, Mega Rayquaza, and Kyurem-Black, while tanking their Extreme Speed and coverage moves thanks to Mega Slowbro's sky-high physical bulk.
Usage Tips
========
  • Mega Slowbro can comfortably switch in on -ate abusers once their sets are revealed, but scout Mega Diancie and Mega Rayquaza to make sure that they don't have another set like Magic Guard or Triage, respectively, or a special coverage move that Mega Slowbro doesn't resist, like Earth Power or Volt Switch. It should be wary of Choice Specs coverage moves that aren't sound-based, such as the aforementioned Volt Switch.
  • Use Anchor Shot and Scald liberally, as both have a large amount of PP; Anchor Shot traps offensive Pokemon while Scald is a STAB that can spread burns that provides good chip. Parting Shot can also be used generously to lower stats and gain momentum, but be careful of Magic Bounce and other Soundproof users, because they cause Mega Slowbro to lose momentum instead.
  • When using Darkinium Z, be careful when activating Z-Parting Shot, for Soundproof and Magic Bounce users as well as Imposter can switch in and prevent the Z-effect from happening.
Team Options
========
  • Specially defensive walls are essential to tank special and mixed wallbreakers like Adaptability Mega Gengar and Refrigerate Kyurem-White; such examples include Regenvest Primal Kyogre, Registeel, and Ho-Oh. Would also note Yveltal as not only can it check Darks and Ghost, but appreciates Bro's ability to handle the likes of Diancie, Kyurem-B, and MMX which all really harm Ygod.
  • Regenvest Dialga is especially helpful, as it creates a nice defensive core with Mega Slowbro: it walls Bug, Electric, and the (mostly) special Ghost-type moves, while Slowbro covers Fighting and the (mostly) physical Ground-type moves.
  • Chansey synergizes well with Mega Slowbro. Imposter checks Shedinja and scouts Mega Diancie and Mega Rayquaza. Fur Coat Chansey, while not having as great of a defensive typing, has incredible special bulk, as well as the ability to check most mixed attackers.
Mega Mewtwo Y beats Giratina, Zygarde-Complete, and Primal Kyogre; Kartana beats Fur Coat Chansey, Mega Audino, and Primal Kyogre; Mega Rayquaza beats Giratina, Zygarde-Complete, and Mega Audino this is debatable depending on set, would give a better example; and Mega Mewtwo X beats Fur Coat Chansey, Registeel, and Primal Kyogre.
  • If Core Enforcer is not used, checks to Poison Heal such as Flash Fire Registeel with Entrainment or Regenvest Dialga are necessary to prevent offensive sets from setting up on Mega Slowbro.
  • Shedinja checks such as the aforementioned Imposter Chansey, Giratina, and Aegislash are needed for their immunity to Endeavor.
  • Mixed walls like defensive Primal Groudon and Flash Fire Registeel check other Mega Diancie sets.
  • Checks to Mega Tyranitar, Yveltal, and Mega Gyarados, such as Mega Audino and Xerneas, cover the Knock Off weakness that afflicts Mega Slowbro.
  • A Magic Bounce user, defensive Z-move user, or Revelation Dance user is important to check Normalize Gengar. Mega Audino, Prankster Zygarde with Thousand Waves and Groundium Z, and Regenvest Yveltal are good examples.

Other Options
=============
  • Mega Slowbro can use an Assault Vest and Regenerator to patch up its low Special Defense. However, the inability to recover in a pinch gives it more of a pivoting role, and Mega Slowbro loves to directly confront wallbreakers.
  • It can also use Fur Coat to tank even supereffective physical hits from the likes of Mega Mewtwo X, Regigigas, and Primal Groudon. However, it loses its ability to check Pixilate and Aerilate users.
  • Unaware is an appealing option so that Mega Slowbro does not have to worry about boosted physical hits, which is compounded with its resistance to Photon Geyser and Sunsteel Strike. It cannot take special hits well, though, requiring a special teammate that checks set-up. Also mention that it is still susceptible to Power Trip.
  • Poison Heal is an option to allow Mega Slowbro to better take on physical attackers and walls due to its constant healing and inability to be affected by status. Would mention the downside of this set being the inconsistency however.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Special and Mixed Attackers:** Mega Slowbro's special bulk is lackluster, causing it to be 2HKO'd or even OHKO'd by special attacks from attackers that it doesn't resist, like Magic Guard Mega Diancie's Light of Ruin, Triage Mega Rayquaza's Oblivion Wing, and Choice Specs Kyurem-White's Draco Meteor.

**Dark-types:** Mega Tyranitar, Mega Gyarados, and Yveltal all threaten Mega Slowbro with their supereffective STAB. Yveltal is especially dangerous, as its Revelation Dance hits specially.

**Ghost-types:** Mega Gengar and Lunala Lunala isnt really that relevant, remove can both OHKO Mega Slowbro with their hard-hitting Moongeist Beams or Spooky Plate Judgments.

**Super-effective Coverage:** Even support moves such as U-Turn, Volt Switch, Knock Off, and Spectral Thief can chip Mega Slowbro, which usually forces it to recover the next turn, potentially causing a loss in momentum.

**Walls:** Walls that aren't vulnerable to Mega Slowbro's attacks, such as Registeel, Giratina, and Specify PH Mega Audino, can switch in freely and either lay hazards or cripple Mega Slowbro with burn or poison.
