Gen 6 Mega T-Tar sand W/Screens (Updated)

A few weeks ago, I made a team that was based around Sand HO with mega T-tar and screens. I got a good amount of feedback on it and made a few updates. I feel pretty good about the team, but I wanted to follow up with the updates to see if there is anything I overlooked or missed.

This is the original team:

Descriptions are on the original post if you want to see them, but with this updated version of the team I've made some substitutions.

I've replaced Registeel (which was understandably the worst member of the team) with Manaphy.

Manaphy @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
Shiny: Yes

Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Ice Beam
- Energy Ball

Manaphy is a strong set up sweeper with tail glow and has great coverage. It has great natural bulk, and water is a phenomenal typing. Behind screens Manaphy can single handedly set up and win games which is continuing with the theme of the team.

Manaphy is ran over Volcarona due to the stealth rock weakness, however if you would rather have Volcarona you can add rapid spin on Excadrill and then have a QD sweeper over tail glow Manaphy.

Manaphy is running a tail glow 3 attack set in order to hit every type for neutral damage, including Volcanion, which is a weakness for the team. Manaphy is modest for this set because it does have a good amount of bulk (especially behind screens), but it is EV'd to be 276 speed with modest, and 303 speed with timid, both are good speed tiers and can be interchangeable.

With the next member of the team, I wanted to address choice scarf Garchomp. The scarf chomp didn't make sense, so I tried to change the set, but I wasn't having much success. I decided to audible and go with a mon that can cover what Garchomp was doing but also help with another weak point of the team.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off

Landorus-T ended up being the answer to my problem. With intimidate and the flying type Landorus-T is able to cripple physical attackers and resist fighting type attacks, which the team is weak to. Landorus-T can safely set stealth rocks on a majority of the tier and has U-turn for momentum to bring in any of the set-up mons on the team.

Landorus-T is a bulky set with rocky helmet built to shut down and cripple physical attackers. With intimidate and good bulk Landorus-T can check a multitude of physical threats and can answer back with strong attacks.

I think these two changes work really well and help fix the issues with my original build for the team. I would love to hear any feedback and ideas that you all may have. If there are any other mons or sets you think would work better, please let me know, thank you all!

Hey, I like the updates on the team.
I think screens is a effective approach for that team.
Manaphy also gives this team a nice boost. Swords Dance on Drill helps you against those fat teams, that are hard to break. Personally I would go Leftovers over Air Balloon since Landorus-T already provides you with that Ground-immunity and allows you to pivot efficient with U-turn. Further do I like the Knock Off on it, just helps a bunch here.
One thing to think about is the Set of Thundurus. I would probably go Thunder Wave over Substitute, as this helps you with the match up against Serperior. The issue would be that your only Serperior switch in is your own Serperior, which can effectively cripple it, but has no source of regeneration and can be beaten by getting glared and being paralyzed. On the other hand I understand how usefull this Thundurus set can be against certain MUs facing things like Scarf Landorus-T that would threaten it with Stone Edge. Of course do Dual Screens give Thundurus opportunities to use Substitute and set up.

Good work
