Let's check out our winners!

Butterfree
This one's a tie between かたわれ時 and cordeliafrey78's subs! The first one voted for or who gets a vote change to vote for them wins the tiebreaker.

EDIT: Thanks to Yahooboo's vote, the winner of the tiebreaker is...
:Butterfree: <—> :Butterfree-gmax:
Pokemon Name: Butterfree
Mega Stone Name: Butterfrite
Stats: 60 / 45 / 40 (-10) / 130 (+40) / 100 (+20) / 120 (+50) (BST 495 (+100) )
Typing: View attachment 216814 View attachment 216815
Ability: Compound Eyes
New Moves: Moonblast, Moonlight, Toxic
Competitive Description: I have always been a fan of Vivillion, but now that it’s gone it’s time to groom its successor! Mwahaha! Except that Butterfree can’t sleep spam like Vivillion in AG. Nevermind it can still do other things! (Not to mention that it is still good at sleep spam!) It is a capable set-up sweeper with Quiver Dance, while still being a powerful menace without set-up! It is incredibly fast, as well as giving support to the team with Tailwind, Whirlwind and Toxic. (Speaking how if Toxic, it can also run a set with Venoshock to defeat poisoned opponents, but I doubt that would be too popular.)
Of course, this Pokemon is far from perfect, with its crippling Defense making it a prime target for the rampant Physical attackers. Lack of an ability that helps it to sweep makes things a bit hard when a bit of extra power is preferred. Also, it’s Speed, while great, leaves it outsped by Dragapult, Choice Scarf users and others, allowing stuff like Sand Rush Excadrill to revenge kill it.

Pokemon Name: Kingler
Mega Stone Name: Kinglerite
Stats: 55/170/125/50/70/105 (+40 Atk, +10 Def, +20 SpD, +30 Spe) BST: 575
Typing: Water/Rock
Ability: Sheer Force
New Moves: Icicle Crash
Competitive Description: Rock-typing makes sense flavor-wise due to its hard shell and the fact that crabs live near rocks and corals. It also gives STAB to Rock Slide which is also boosted by its ability. 105 Speed allows it to forgo Agility and just focus on Swords Dance to sweep and wallbreak. Icicle Crash gives it coverage against Grass- and Dragon-types and also avoids Ferrothorn's Iron Barbs.

Pokemon Name: Lapras
Mega Stone Name: Laprasite
Stats: 130/135/100/95/95/80 (+50 Atk, +20 Def, +10 SpA, +20 Spe) BST: 635
Typing: Water/Ice
Ability: Water Veil
New Moves: Icicle Crash
Competitive Description: Lapras has Dragon Dance and a lot of physical coverage moves such as Megahorn, Iron Head, Zen Headbutt, etc. Water Veil allows it to sweep without the worry of a burn. Icicle Crash gives it a physical Ice-type move that has a good chance to flinch especially after a Speed boost.

Pokemon Name: Drednaw
Mega Stone Name: Drednawite
Stats: 90/155/110/58/68/104 (+40 Atk, +20 Def, +10 SpA, +30 Spe) BST: 585
Typing: Water/Dark
Ability: Strong Jaw
New Moves: Psychic Fangs
Competitive Description: Dark-typing and Strong Jaw boosts its signature move Jaw Lock to full power. If the timing is good, it can further set up a Swords Dance against a helpless opponent then sweep. Psychic Fangs gives it coverage against Fighting-types.

Pokemon Name: Kingler
Mega Stone Name: Kinglite
Stats:
55 / 150 (+20) / 140 (+25) / 120 (+70) / 45 (-5) / 65 (-10)
Typing:
Water / Fighting
Ability:
Contrary
New Moves:
Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse
Competitive Description:
A fairly slow stallbreaker intended to beat down physical walls - alike to Hoopa-Unbound. The lower Speed makes it better in balance matchups but its very low Special Defense still makes it difficult to use against offensive teams.

Pokemon Name: Lapras
Mega Stone Name: Laprite
Stats:
130 / 110 (+25) / 95 (+15) / 110 (+25) / 120 (+25) / 65 (+5)
Typing:
Water / Ice
Ability:
Regenerator
New Moves:
Calm Mind, Icicle Crash
Competitive Description:
Lapras has an awkward typing to utilize but Regenerator allows it to become a vital check to Pokemon such as Ash-Greninja and Genesect due to its high bulk and decent Attack stats forcing things out. It can also try out boosting with Calm Mind or Dragon Dance, and although it may not be particularly effective at it, it gives Lapras an interesting niche as a bulky tank that can also act as setup.

Pokemon Name: Drednaw
Mega Stone Name: Drednite
Stats:
90 / 150 (+35) / 115 (+25) / 58 (+10) / 78 (+10) / 94 (+20)
Typing:
Water / Rock
Ability:
Drizzle
New Moves:
Close Combat
Competitive Description:
Drednaw is a capable wallbreaker that comes with Drizzle, an ability that the Mega Stones desperately needed to become complete with weather. However, its middling Speed stat without priority makes it easy to kill with Tapu Lele, Kyurem-Black, Kartana and other faster threats so despite its solid coverage and powerful STABs it can still be dealt with.

Pokemon Name: Kingler
Mega Stone Name: Kinglite
Stats: 55 / 160 (+30) / 135 (+20) / 50 / 90 (+40) / 85 (+10)
Typing:
/

Ability: Mold Breaker
New Moves: Bullet Punch, Iron Head, Earthquake
Competitive Description: Thanks to Kingler's additional Steel typing and increased bulk, it gets some more opportunities to switch in against foes like Clefable, Corviknight without Body Press, and Hatterene. Earthquake grants it crucial coverage for Toxapex, Dracozolt, and Rotom-W (you'll see why). Mold Breaker allows it to ignore abilities like Clefable's Unaware, Rotom-W's Levitate and Seismitoad's Water Absorb. Bullet Punch also gives it a priority attack against foes like Clefable, Grimmsnarl and Tyranitar. Sadly, its speed is still awful for a sweeper, and its Steel typing now leaves it weak to foes like Lando-T, Mega Medicham, and Hawlucha.

Lol all my Pokemon seem to be slow powerful Wallbreaker :D

1578829944569.gif

Ability: Adaptability
New Moves: Earthquake, Stone Edge, Close Combat
Competitive Description: With a huge attack stat and the boosts provided by Adaptability, Kingler is now a huge menace, with strong moves in Crabhammer, Close Combat, Earthquake and Stone Edge. With the option to boost its already brilliant attack stat even further with Swords Dance, Kingler takes on a wildly unpredictable role: a single mistake (like thinking that it will sett up) May cause the opponent to be completely overwhelmed and defeated due to the sheer power of Kingler. Kingler, in a way, takes on the role of Darmanitan-Galar.
Of course, Darmanitan was never so easy to defeat :)
Darmanitan’s potency was its ability to use a Double Band or Band + Scarf set with its unpredictability as a Zen Mode user: Kingler, with Adaptability and item-locked, is not so powerful. Having an abysmal Special Defense, Kingler can easily be defeated simply by pivoting into a Special Attacker. It’s slow Speed further hinders this, by making it extremely easy to outspeed it. Pokemon like Tapu Lele can easily destroy it. Nevertheless, Kingler still has its incredible niche by being able, through sheer power, power through Defensive staples like Chansey, Toxapex and Ferrothorn. (And trough Trick Room, But let’s not talk too much otherwise it’s calling for a nerf...)

Ability: Refrigerate
New Moves: Calm Mind, Wish, Will-O-Wisp
Competitive Description: Gifted with an incredibly high Special Attack, coupled with powerful moves, makes Lapras an efficient Wallbreaker. Especially with the rare ability Refrigerate, makes Lapras the perfect Pokemon to get rid of those annoying Landorus running around. Combined with good bulk and Special Defense, this is every Special Attacker’s nightmare. Also through its bulk, Lapras can also choose to run Defensive, but that isn’t too recommended.
Despite all these perks, Lapras comes with some serious drawbacks. Weakness to Stealth Rock, which comes with the downside of its dismal Defensive typing (which ironically is the thing making it strong), is one of the issues. A low Defense makes it easier for Fighting and Rock types to power through it, especially since it’s already weak to them. Lastly, a Speed that is nowhere (60: too high for Trick Room yet too low to sweep efficiently).

Ability: Rock Head
New Moves: Close Combat
Competitive Description: Slow yet deadly, Drednaw occupies a similar role as Kingler, yet is different from Kingler in a couple of things: 1. Their different typing, making their checks and counters different. 2. It’s way of sweeping. Instead of using Adaptability-boosted moves to bust through everything, Drednaw instead chooses to use its coveted access to Rock Head and Head Smash to Smash (geddit?) through everything. There isn’t not much need to explain this Pokemon when I already explained Kingler.

Hmm... Nah, this is just a better Mega Lucario lol. Same silly ability but with even more power and speed is a big no-no. IMO cut the Speed waaaaay down (sub-100 is my recommendation) and put it in other areas and it should be at least a bit more manageable.

Kingler Sprite

Pokemon Name: Kingler-Mega
Mega Stone Name: Kinglerite
Stats: 55 / 145 (+15) / 160 (+45) / 50 / 70 (+20) / 95 (+20) (575 BST)
Typing:
Water-type
/
Poison-type

Ability: Corrosive Pincers: Serene Grace clone
New Moves: Cross Poison, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb
Competitive Description: My Mega Kingler takes inspiration from the OG Gigantamax's Shield dex entry, which mentions having strongly alkaline bubbles that can dissolve anything, including opponents. Corrosive Pincers gives it access to some fun stuff that isn't stupid Flinch hax fishing, including Razor Shells with guaranteed defense drops (or Liquidations with 40% defense drops), 60% poison rate Poison Jabs and even 60% burn rate Scalds if you really wanna be an evil memelord.

Lapras Sprite

Pokemon Name: Lapras-Mega
Mega Stone Name: Laprasite
Stats: 130 / 85 / 105 (+25) / 140 (+55) / 105 (+10) / 70 (+10) (635 BST)
Typing:
Water-type
/
Ice-type

Ability: Slush Rush
New Moves: Aurora Veil, Calm Mind, Fire Blast
Competitive Description: Meet Hail Megapert. Under the weather it can outspeed and hit foes with super strong Hydro Pumps and Blizzards, as well as set up Aurora Veil or go for a sweep with Calm Mind.

Drednaw Sprite

Pokemon Name: Drednaw-Mega
Mega Stone Name: Drednite
Stats: 90 / 150 (+35) / 130 (+40) / 48 / 113 (+45) / 54 (-20) (585 BST)
Typing:
Water-type
/
Rock-type

Ability: Guts
New Moves: Aqua Jet, Bulk Up, Glare
Competitive Description: Drednaw is a unique tank that, while it can't use Flame Orb itself, can still be kept around to deter Scald, Toxic and Will-O-Wisp. In the meantime it can set up Rocks, cripple foes with Glare and wallbreak with Bulk Up or Swords Dance. The crappy speed and lack of reliable recovery are the main things that hold it back, and it does struggle a bit with 4MSS, but it can still be a bulky and powerful asset for certain teams.

Gravity Monkey

Lapras-Mega - Requires Laprasite
Typing:

Ability: Snow Warning
Stats: 130 / 85 / 90 (+10) / 115 (+30) / 103 (+8) / 112 (+52)
New Moves: Aurora Veil, Recover
Places the veil fast and then doesn't die. 130 / 90 / 103 defenses coupled with aurora veil and recovery almost bypass the weakness that is its awkward typing. It's still weak to SRs though.

Pokemon Name: Kingler
Mega Stone Name: Kinglite
Stats: 55 / 150 (+20) / 145 (+30) / 50 / 110 (+60) / 65 (-10)
Typing: Water
Ability: Corrosion
New Moves: Earthquake
Competitive Description: Kingler's main niche in OU is a slow, albeit powerful wallbreaker, like Mega Garchomp and Hoopa-U of days past. Losing Sheer Force is well, painful, but this is made up for by significantly improved bulk on both sides of the spectrum, allowing it to tank much more hits. NOW it can shine in AG!... oh wait, Barraskweda, Mega Swampert, Dracovish, and Mega Blastoise exist. Well, never mind then, it can do OTHER things! Its speed tier is at least enough to outspeed most, if not, all, defensive staples, and even without an Agility boost, it still manages to be threatening due to its high attack stat, which enables it to OHKO or 2HKO most offensive staples with ease, factoring in SR damage.
Now, and then, it does carry flaws in its system. While 145/110 defenses are fantastic, Kingler's mediocre base 55 HP undermines those defenses greatly, usually resulting in Kingler dying against offensive teams in 2 or 3 hits, making it an easy target against faster, stronger threats like +2 Mega Blastoise, Dracovish, and Kartana. It also lacks an ability to help it wallbreak, which can make things hard for poor Yorick Kingler when it needs that extra power. Moreover, its speed, while great for outspeeding stuff like Galarian Corsola and Chansey, leaves it outsped by almost all of the current NatDex OU metagame staples, like Dragapult, Mega Blastoise, and Kartana.

:drednaw-gmax:
Pokemon Name: Drednaw
Mega Stone Name: Drednawite
Stats: 90 / 135 (+20) / 130 (+40) / 68 (+20) / 88 (+20) / 74
Typing: Water / Rock
Ability: Adaptability
New Moves: Shell Smash
Competitive Description: Remember Mega Blastoise of days past? Well, time to focus on his potential big (or little) brother: Drednaw-Gmax! Perfect! Or maybe not - Drednaw doesn't exactly have the stupid good power of Mega Blastoise due to Mega Launcher. But who needs Mega Launcher when you have a secondary Water/Steel typing and better speed? In all honesty, Drednaw is a capable setup sweeper via Shell Smash, and still manages to be threatening in other ways, be it with venting its raw power out on the opponent without boosting with Shell Smash, or maybe a more supportive role with Stealth Rock. While not the fastest, its solid 120/98 defenses allow it to tank quite a few hits if it needs to. Combine this with Adaptability, and at +2 attack, know that Drednaw WILL punch a big hole in your team.
As powerful as this seems, Drednaw is clearly far from perfect. Its typing, despite being good offensively, is absolutely horrible defensively, and this is especially true in a metagame where stuff like Lando-T and Kartana run rampant, which undermines its solid bulk. Drednaw-Gmax is also fairly slow before a boost, which means that if it does get outsped, it may end up in range of a priority attack from stuff like Mega Metagross or Ash Greninja, or it may not even be able to boost up before it's overwhelmed. Lastly, by the time Drednaw-Gmax has set up with Shell Smash, it will have taken quite a bit of damage, making it vulnerable to being checked in some of the same ways as Mega Blastoise.

Just a heads up: Stalwart doesn't actually function like Mold Breaker, it only ignores redirection-based abilities in Doubles. Also I'm not sure if Shell Smash Drednaw with those stats is a good idea, I'd like to see some more examples of reliable counterplay after seeing how much that move has made Blastoise a threat in NatDex OU.

Subs will end Wednesday.

Places the veil fast and then doesn't die. 130 / 90 / 103 defenses coupled with aurora veil and recovery almost bypass the weakness that is its awkward typing. It's still weak to SRs though.
Drednaw
Pokemon Name: Drednaw
Mega Stone Name: Drednite
Stats: 90 / 150 (+35) / 115 (+25) / 58 (+10) / 78 (+10) / 94 (+20)
Typing: Water / Rock
Ability: Drizzle
New Moves: Close Combat
Competitive Description: Drednaw is a capable wallbreaker that comes with Drizzle, an ability that the Mega Stones desperately needed to become complete with weather. However, its middling Speed stat without priority makes it easy to kill with Tapu Lele, Kyurem-Black, Kartana and other faster threats so despite its solid coverage and powerful STABs it can still be dealt with.

Slate #3: Do You Even Lift?
Machamp Sprite
Melmetal Sprite
Grimmsnarl Sprite

Maximum of 3 new moves for Machamp and 2 new moves for Melmetal and Grimmsnarl. Due to already possessing remarkable qualities that make it a strong pick in National Dex OU, Mega Melmetal will be designed for Ubers. Also due to enough slates having taken place I am publicly releasing the spreadsheet! It'll be put in the OP after Slate 2 additions are put in. Now go submit!

Pokemon Name: Melmetal
Mega Stone Name: Melmetite
Stats: 135 / 168 (+25) / 128 (-15) / 90 (+10) / 65 (+0) / 114 (+80)
Typing: Steel / Ghost
Ability: Sheer Force
New Moves: Close Combat, Shadow Claw
Competitive Description: Melmetal is a fast all out attacker with a large array of defensive utility. To avoid its performance being potentially inconsistent, Sheer Force blocks out the flinching effect of Double Iron Bash, so that for a submission like this the result isn't too uncompetitive. It however, also boosts Double Iron Bash to obscene power levels, allowing it to cleanly 2HKO support Arceus-Ground and other alike resists. However, it still struggles to take some threats down due to a lack of good Ghost STAB, such as Necrozma-Dusk-Mane and defensive Primal Groudon.

Pokemon Name: Grimmsnarl
Mega Stone Name: Grimmsnarlite
Stats: 135 / 160 (+40) / 80 (+15) / 120 (+25) / 95 (+20) / 60 (+0)
Typing: Dark / Fairy
Ability: Ominous (Dark Aura clone)
New Moves: Knock Off
Competitive Description: Despite Grimmsnarl's low speed and middling bulk, Grimmsnarl is an exceptional wallbreaker and revenge killer due to its access to an Ominous-boosted Sucker Punch coming off of 160 Attack, and a unique typing that allows it to switch into threats like Dragapult and Hydreigon, as usual. Knock Off now allows Grimmsnarl to punish Pokemon such as Toxapex and Clefable that could otherwise give it trouble, and further boosts its capability of offensive sets.

Pokemon Name: Machamp
Mega Stone Name: Machampite
Stats: 90 / 165 (+35) / 100 (+20) / 80 (+15) / 95 (+10) / 75 (+20)
Typing: Fighting / Steel
Ability: Iron Fist
New Moves: Meteor Mash, Mach Punch
Competitive Description: With molten fists Machamp is one of the best offensive threats in National Dex. It is capable of 2HKOing Slowbro and Corviknight with Thunder Punch after Stealth Rock and traditional Fighting checks like Clefable are bypassed. However, it struggles to get past tanks such as Hippowdon and Landorus-T who are more bulky and difficult to hit super effectively without wasting coverage or Bulk Up.

Pokemon Name: Grimmsnarl
Mega Stone Name: Grimmite
Stats:
95 / 140 (+20) / 115 (+50) / 105 (+10) / 80 (+5) / 75 (+15)
Typing:
Dark/Fairy (unchanged)
Ability:
Tangling Hair
New Moves:
Recover, Shadow Sneak
Competitive Description:
With some decent buffs to defensive stats as well as a little extra speed, Mega Grimmsnarl definitely lifts. Prankster Bulk Up into this is solid, but mainly held back by a mediocre, albeit incredibly fitting, ability. Shadow Sneak also grants it a way around its still low speed, but it's still kinda slow. Alternatively, use your still alright special attack for a Nasty Plot set. It's also still relatively weak compared to some other megas, though, so it takes some work to use well.

Pokemon Name: Grimmsnarl
Mega Stone Name: Grimmsnarlite
Stats: 95 / 150 (+30) / 95 (+30) / 95 (+0) / 95 (+20) / 80 (+20)
Typing:

Ability: Fluffy
New Moves:
Competitive Description: Physical Tank that pairs well with allied Ghost types, as it can soak up the Ghost or Dark moves targeted at them and threaten back with powerful STABs.

Pokemon Name:Machamp
Mega Stone Name:Machampite
Stats:90/155(+20)/100(+20)/45(-20)/100(+20)/110(+60)[BST:606]
Typing:Fighting/Fire
Ability:Ignite(it's just a fire type pixilate)
New Moves: Quick Attack
Competitive Description:My god I made him faster, which kind of makes sense since you know it looks sleeker. It's fire typing comes from the fact that it has blotches of lava on its arms. Seriously when I first saw this I thought it would be fighting/fire type. Anyway this is a physical sweeper that can take a hit and rather than giving this thing a load of fire type moves I just gave it an ability that does it for free.

Pokemon Name: Machamp
Mega Stone Name: Machampite
Stats: 90/170/100/65/95/85 (+40 Atk, +20 Def, +10 SpD, +30 Spe)
Typing: Fighting/Fire
Ability: Super Luck
New Moves: Blaze Kick
Competitive Description: Its ability is based on its G-Max Chi Strike move which boosts its critical hit rate by one stage. Blaze Kick and Fire-typing get flavor from its more defined legs and glowing appearance. Blaze Kick is also STAB that has a 50% critical hit rate. Cross Chop also nets a 50% critical hit ratio if you can stomach its 80% accuracy, though I think 12.5% critical hit Close Combat is already neat enough, especially coming from a 170 Attack stat. Its stat increases mirror the boosts of its Kantonian special counterpart, Mega Alakazam.

Stats:
135/163/173/110/85/34 (+20 Atk, +30 Def, +30 SpA, +20 SpD)
Typing:
Steel
Ability:
Bulletproof
New Moves:
Competitive Description:
With Bulletproof blocking Focus Blast and Hidden Power no longer existing, Melmetal becomes a perfect counter to Xerneas. It also checks offensive Psychics that rely on Focus Blast to hit Steel-types such as Attack Deoxys and the Necrozma formes.

Pokemon Name: Grimmsnarl
Mega Stone Name: Grimmsnarlite
Stats:
95/150/85/125/95/60 (+30 Atk, +20 Def, +30 SpA, +20 SpD)
Typing:
Dark/Fairy
Ability:
Hustle
New Moves:
Yawn
Competitive Description: Grimmsnarl's signature move, False Surrender, bypasses Hustle's accuracy check, allowing Mega Grimmsnarl to spam it under a Hustle-boosted 150 Attack stat! Grimmsnarl's other physical moves get a 20% nerf though and it still has low Speed and middling bulk, making it much more balanced. Grimmsnarl also has a good SpA stat, making it a capable mixed attacker with False Surrender and special coverage moves to play it safe.
