Megas For All: V4! (Voting - Lickilicky, Togekiss, Dusknoir)

Would you guys be interested if I had MFA include Gen 8 mons when it comes out?

Electrode-Mega
Ability: Static / Soundproof (Aftermath) ----> Illusion
Typing: Electric/Psychic

Stats:

HP: 60 ----> 60
Attack: 50 ----> 50
Defense: 70 ----> 80 (+10)
Special Attack: 80 ----> 130 (+50)
Special Defense: 100 ----> (+20)
Speed: 150 ----> 170 (+20)
Base Stat Total: 490 ----> 590
Movepool Additions: Psyshock, Psychic
Description: Electrode can make an illusion of a Poke Ball, but Mega Electrode can make an illusion of another Pokemon! Illusion synergizes excellently with Volt Switch as it can pivot out with high damage output while playing mind games at the opponent. Psychic STAB gives it firepower against some Electric-type checks such as Mega Venusaur and Nidoking.

Accelgor-Mega
Ability: Hydration/Sticky Hold (Unburden) ----> Air Lock
Typing: Bug/Water

Stats:

HP: 80 ----> 80
Attack: 70 ----> 70
Defense: 40 ----> 70 (+30)
Special Attack: 100 ----> 140 (+40)
Special Defense: 60 ----> 80 (+20)
Speed: 145 ----> 155 (+10)
Base Stat Total: 495 ----> 595
Movepool Additions: Surf
Description: An anti-weather Pokemon. With its water STAB, it can check Mega Charizard Y and even Primal Groudon in Ubers! It can also deal with Sand Teams via Water or Bug STAB. Giga Drain lets it deal with Mega Swampert on Rain Teams. STAB Water Shuriken lets it outprioritize other Pokemon.

Mega Electrode
Type: Electric => Electric/Steel
Ability: Galvanize

HP: 60
Atk: 50 => 120 (+70)
Def: 70 => 90 (+20)
SpA: 80
SpD: 80 => 90 (+10)
Spe: 150
New Moves: Iron Head, Stealth Rock
Description: Fast, Physically-based Support mon with great moves in Light Screen, Reflect, Stealth Rock, and Taunt. It can also be a devastating wallbreaker with Galvanize-bosted Explosion.

Mega Ninjask
Type: Bug/Flying
Ability: Technician

HP: 61
Atk: 90 => 150 (+60)
Def: 45 => 65 (+20)
SpA: 50
SpD: 50 => 70 (+20)
Spe: 160

New Moves: Flame Charge, Drill Run
Description: Strong, Blazingly Fast Physical sweeper thanks to fantastic speed and attack stats, Swords Dance and Speed Boost before mega evolving. It also has nice coverage moves in Drill Run, Night Slash, and Flame Charge.

Electrode-Mega
Ability: Static / Soundproof / Aftermath ----> Aerodynamic Attraction (Magnet Pull clone which traps foes that have a base speed stat of at least 100)
Typing: Electric / Fire

Stats:

HP: 60 ----> 60
Attack: 50 ----> 50
Defense: 70 ----> 85 (+15)
Special Attack: 80 ----> 135 (+55)
Special Defense: 80 ----> 100 (+20)
Speed: 150 ----> 160 (+10)
Base Stat Total: 490 ----> 590
Movepool Additions: Flamethrower, Overheat
Description: Just when you thought that you were going to do something on your computer, only to have it malfunction and glitch out before spontaneously exploding into a billion burning bits - that's the work of Mega Electrode, probably. Mega Electrode stores the heat in the air, in addition to the electricity it normally stores, then hides in electronic devices and waits for someone to use them before exploding. If nobody uses the device it's in within 24 hours, it will reveal itself and disappear in a poof of smoke and flame, never to be seen again. Anyways, Electrode takes advantage of its much-improved bulk and firepower (had to make that pun), not to mention its much improved attacking combo in Electric / Fire and powerful STAB in Overheat and Flamethrower. As powerful as this does seem, though, Electrode still must deal with its subpar physical bulk, not to mention that its typing is pretty bad defensively, packing three weaknesses, with one of them being a quad weakness to a common offensive type in Ground, AND it also has to deal with being weak to Stealth Rock as well, further eating away at its longevity.

Accelgor-Mega
Ability: Hydration/Sticky Hold (Unburden) ----> Adaptability
Typing: Bug/Dark

Stats:

HP: 80 ----> 80
Attack: 70 ----> 70
Defense: 40 ----> 50 (+10)
Special Attack: 100 ----> 150 (+50)
Special Defense: 60 ----> 90 (+30)
Speed: 145 ----> 155 (+10)
Base Stat Total: 495 ----> 595
Movepool Additions: Dark Pulse, Quiver Dance
Description: Ever feel like the shadows seem to be moving by themselves? Is it Marshadow, or is it something else? It's Mega Accelgor! It blends in with the shadows of its target, waiting for the right moment to strike and devour the victim's life energy, while turning itself into a shadow and moving around, pursuing its prey while it's at it. With its powerful offenses, great speed tier, not to mention much-improved special bulk, and perhaps even better: A new offensive STAB combo in Dark / Bug, prepare your defenses, for Accelgor's ability to sweep entire teams like nobody's business is never something you should hide in the shadows! As powerful as this looks, however, Accelgor's bulk is still pretty bad, especially on the physical side, leaving it easily revenge killed by common Choice Scarfers, while its typing does it no favors defensively, cursing it with 6 weaknesses, on top of a Stealth Rock weakness, not to mention that it has pretty bad 4MSS, leaving it walled by Tapu Fini if not running Giga Drain, or Heatran if not running Focus Blast.

Ninjask-Mega
Ability: Speed Boost / Infiltrator ----> Triage
Typing: Bug / Flying

Stats:

HP: 61 ----> 61
Attack: 90 ----> 145 (+55)
Defense: 45 ----> 100 (+55)
Special Attack: 50 ----> 20 (-30)
Special Defense: 50 ----> 70 (+20)
Speed: 160 ----> 160
Base Stat Total: 456 ----> 556
Movepool Additions: Brave Bird, Knock Off
Description: Say hello to what might just be the fastest and hardest-hitting pokemon in the entire universe! Mega Ninjask utilizes its ability to move extremely fast to hunt down actual prey, jabbing them with the claws on its arms before leeching their life energy away. Yes, this is how it lives. (WIP)

Keep up the submissions!

As powerful as this looks, however, Accelgor's bulk is still pretty bad, especially on the physical side, leaving it easily revenge killed by common Choice Scarfers, while its typing does it no favors defensively, cursing it with 6 weaknesses, on top of a Stealth Rock weakness, not to mention that it has pretty bad 4MSS, leaving it walled by Tapu Fini if not running Giga Drain, or Landorus-T if not running Water Shuriken.
Uhh what relevant scarfer would revenge kill this after it sets up a Quiver Dance, though? Scarf Lando has a 43.8% chance to be OHKO'd by +1 Dark Pulse, so it doesn't wall at all. Water Shuriken actually does less on average (4 hits has a 75% chance to OHKO, while 3 and 2 hits will never KO) to Landorus, so it's not worth the slot. Tapu Fini is set up bait for this Mega Accelgor, since Moonblast against your +1 Accelgor does 48-57. It can Quiver Dance again and OHKO the standard variant with Energy Ball. The only set it would need to run to work is Quiver Dance, Dark Pulse, Energy Ball, Bug Buzz. Even rare scarfers like Garchomp will fall prey at +1.

The mega is fine but all of that quote is kinda wrong lol

edit: I didn't even read that it had Adaptability nvm, Landorus ALWAYS dies.

I'm not personally a fan of adding new moves for Megas, so I didn't.

Mega Electrode
Ability:
Electric Surge
HP: 60
Atk: 50 ---> 80 (+30)
Def: 70 ---> 60 (-10)
SpA: 80 ---> 150 (+70)
SpD: 80 ---> 70 (-10)
Spe: 150 ---> 170 (+20)

Description: Electrode becomes cracked, making it constantly leak energy. This lowers its defenses a bit, but also allows it to set Electric Terrain upon entering the battlefield. While Electrode was designated as a screens setter, Mega Electrode can actually go on the offensive with its blistering speed and devastating Electric attacks.

However, it's still an Electrode, which means its movepool is absolutely terrible and predictable. Tbolt + Volt Switch + HP Ice + Taunt is about the best it can muster, with the possibility of Charge Beam over Volt Switch or Taunt.

Mega Ninjask
Ability:
Technician
HP: 61
Atk: 90 ---> 140 (+50)
Def: 45 ---> 100 (+55)
SpA: 50 ---> 30 (-20)
SpD: 50 ---> 105 (+55)
Spe: 160 ---> 120 (-40)

Description: Mega Ninjask gains armor upon Mega Evolving, boosting its defenses but lowering its speed. However, it's still able to use Speed Boost before Mega Evolving, making it a bit similar to Mega Sharpedo. With Swords Dance, 140 base attack, Technician, and a new Bug/Dark typing, Mega Ninjask can bring the pain with Bug Bite and Feint Attack. Its STABs are resisted by Fairy, but it can cut through those with Metal Claw. For example, against Magic Guard Clefable:

+2 252 Atk Technician Ninjask-Mega Metal Claw vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 304-358 (77.1 - 90.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

However, because of regular Ninjask's horrendous bulk, it would need to force a switch in order to get a speed boost, which is hard to do because regular Ninjask isn't very threatening. It could use Substitute or Protect to make acquiring speed boosts easier, but that would mean dropping Metal Claw, meaning Mega Ninjask would be walled by a very common type.

Mega Accelgor
Ability:
Regenerator
HP: 80
Atk: 70 ---> 110 (+40)
Def: 40 ---> 60 (+20)
SpA: 100 ---> 120 (+20)
SpD: 60 ---> 80 (+20)
Spe: 145 ---> 145 (0)

Description: Mega Accelgor uses its improved defensive typing, slightly improved bulk, and new ability in Regenerator to become a powerful pivot that can set hazards throughout a match. However, because it now has good Attack stat to complement U-turn, it has to make a choice between a Timid nature or a Hasty nature. It's also still somewhat frail on the physical side. I don't really have any flavor text for this one.

Def: 45 ---> 115 (+70)
SpA: 50 ---> 50 (0)
SpD: 50 ---> 120 (+70)

Stats Increase higher by 100

Pokemon: Accelgor-Mega
Type: Bug/Fighting
Ability: No Guard
Stats: 80 / 105 (+35) / 40 / 135 (+35) / 75 (+15) / 160 (+15) (595 BST)
Move Additions: Nasty Plot, Taunt
Description: Accelgor becomes faster and foolhardier with each evolution, and after Mega Evolving, this pint-size prick makes honey badgers look cautious. On the one hand, it has middling attacking stats (for a Mega), bad STAB coverage and worse bulk; on the other hand, +2 STAB No Guard Focus Blast and Base 160 Speed.

Accelgor @ Accelgorite
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Timid Nature
- Focus Blast
- Bug Buzz
- Hidden Power Ground / Hidden Power Ice / Taunt
- Nasty Plot

Who needs coverage when FOCUS BLAST? If Mega Accelgor can pull off a Nasty Plot boost, not even Chansey will be safe. HP Ground hits Pex Poison-types, HP Ice hits Lando Flying-types, and Taunt stallbreaks and blocks status. Encore is another option to help grant setup opportunities, but Screens support is probably better due to the aforementioned bad coverage without HP and weakness to Thunder Wave/Glare without Taunt.

Accelgor @ Accelgorite
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Atk
Hasty Nature
- Focus Blast
- U-Turn
- Spikes / Toxic Spikes
- Toxic Spikes / Taunt / Recover

Alternatively, Mega Accelgor can give up boosting to be the fastest hazard setter this side of Klefki. Seriously, this thing's supportive movepool is ridiculous even without me slapping Taunt on everything (vote Taunt for Universal TM 2020). To be honest, it's probably too frail to make any use of Recover, but that's what I said about Mega Alakazam, so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Electrode-Mega
Ability: Static / Soundproof / Aftermath ----> Volatile (Strong Jaw clone that boosts moves with negative effects on the user ie. Start drops, recoil, fainting, status, move-locking and Mind Blown)

Typing: Electric / Steel

Stats:

HP: 60 ----> 60
Attack: 50 ----> 70 (+20)
Defense: 70 ----> 100 (+ 30)
Special Attack: 80 ----> 100 (+ 20)
Special Defense: 80 ----> 100 (+20)
Speed: 150 ----> 160 (+10)
Base Stat Total: 490 ----> 590
Movepool Additions: Ice Ball, Mirror Shot
Description: Electrode now imitates the metallic covering of pokeballs and its love of exploding has resulted in it specialising in moves that harm itself. It gets a general boost to all stats, especially defense from its new steel plating, which will make it harder to revenge kill with priority.

Accelgor-Mega
Ability: Hydration/Sticky Hold (Unburden) ----> Mummy
Typing: Bug/Dark

Stats:

HP: 80 ----> 80
Attack: 70 ----> 90 (+20)
Defense: 40 ----> 70 (+30)
Special Attack: 100 ----> 110 (+10)
Special Defense: 60 ----> 90 (+30)
Speed: 145 ----> 155 (+10)
Base Stat Total: 495 ----> 595
Movepool Additions: Punishment, Sucker Punch
Description: Accelgor accepts it's creepy ninja nature, leading to a type change. It's bandages help it to bulk up while destroying enemy abilities. It can do this at high speed and use mixed offenses.

Ninjask-Mega
Ability: Speed Boost / Infiltrator ----> Tough Claws
Typing: Bug / Flying

Stats:

HP: 61 ----> 61
Attack: 90 ----> 110 (+ 20)
Defense: 45 ----> 55 (+ 10)
Special Attack: 50 ----> 70 (+ 20)
Special Defense: 50 ----> 80 (+ 30)
Speed: 160 ----> 180 (+ 20)
Base Stat Total: 456 ----> 556
Movepool Additions: Acrobatics, Air Slash
Description: Those big claws are now Tough. With a boosted attack and speed, it is ready to sweep and it has some Mingo defensive boosts too to protect against priority.

Electrode: Bmw6446, SteelixPrisimGX, Sereg
Ninjask: Bmw6446, DrPumpkinz, SteelixPrisimGX
Accelgor: Bmw6446, DrPumpkinz, Steel With It

Electrode: MegaFlareon, DrPumpkinz, Bmw6446

Ninjask: Superstrike66, DrPumpkinz, Latios

Accelgor, DrPumpkinz, SteelixPrismGX, Latios

Electrode:
I wasn't really a huge fan of any of these entries (besides mine, but I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to put your own entry as Vote #1). Turning a literal bomb into a Fire-type is all well and good, but it makes little sense for normal Electrode to be using Fire moves.

1. superstrike66. Theirs makes the most sense flavor-wise.
2. DrPumpkinz
3. -Latios-. It makes sense that the Ball Pokemon would be able to use Shadow Ball, though Hex is a bit iffy.

Honorable mentions for MegaFlareon and Sereg. Their new moves made sense flavor-wise (at least more than the Fire duo), but their abilities seemed either too good or too janky.

Ninjask:

1. Bmw6446. The added moves make perfect sense for Ninjask to learn, and the new ability is cool.
2. SteelixPrismGX. Brave Bird is a bit weird, but Crobat can also learn it so whatever. I like the concept of combining recoil and life drain.
3. -Latios-. My only gripe is that having Ninjask revert to Nincada's typing is a bit strange. Other than that, it's solid.

Honorable mention goes to Sereg, whose entry makes perfect sense flavor-wise, but just doesn't seem as good competitively as the other entries.

Accelgor:

1. Steel With It. Focus Blast + No Guard? Yes please.
2. Sereg. I really like the idea of Accelgor's bandages becoming mummy wrappings.
3. MegaFlareon. Really cool niche, and Water Shuriken makes the somewhat strange addition of Surf more palatable.

Hey, it's been almost a week since voting started. Heavyweapons Mann, can you just end voting now?

Ninjask: Sereg, SteelixPrismGX, Bmw6446 (why are you voting yourself as first place though - isn't that not allowed in this Pet Mod?)

Not voting for anything else though.

I wish I could have put in a Mega Accelgor submission, but I wasn't on here for so long (I didn't even know my Hitmonlee sub won, lol).
Anyway, it would have increased defenses, added Water type, and higher SpA, draining some from the Atk. It would also get Secret Sword, and its Ability would be Water Bubble.
Probably something like 80 / 70 / 40 / 100 / 60 / 145 -> 80 / 40 / 75 / 150 / 90 / 160; Water Bubble, +Water type, +Secret Sword (or Aqua Jet?) and Giga Drain (or Aqua Ring?)
Alternatively, I might bump up its Defense in exchange for some speed, and give it Gooey.

But I know it's too late now. So here are my votes:
Accelgor:
#1 MegaFlareon
#2 Bmw6446
#3 DrPumpkinz
Ninjask:
#1 Sereg
#2 -Latios-
#3 DrPumpkins
Electrode:
#1 -Latios-
#2 MegaFlareon
#3 superstrike66

Can we vote on what's next? I know the last time I made a suggestion about it we went with it, somehow... I don't expect that to happen again, per se, but I wanted to throw this out there.

I'm thinking some of the often overlooked and highly outclassed mons deserve some love:
Ariados, Farfetch'd, Delibird

Also, we need to get ahead of the game (no pun intended) and get the Dynamax/Gigantamax for Everymon or something set up to roll when the time comes. Don't you agree?

Congratulations to DrPumpkinz for winning Accelgor and Ninjask, and MegaFlareon for winning Electrode. Due to someone voting themselves first, I had to remove those votes. New slate in the meantime:

Last of the Gen 4 evolutions
4.5 for Lickilicky and Dusknoir, 4 for Togekiss. 2 new moves for each.

I realized that Game Freak has already added moves to Pokemon just for their Megas to abuse, namely giving Pin Missile to Heracross. So I'll be adding a few moves here and there, but only if they make sense flavor-wise for the base form to learn.

Mega Lickilicky
Ability:
Water Veil
HP: 110
Atk: 85 ---> 110 (+25)
Def: 95 ---> 110 (+15)
SpA: 80 ---> 120 (+40)
SpD: 95 ---> 115 (+20)
Spe: 50 ---> 50 (+0)

New Moves: Hyper Voice
Description: Mega Lickilicky gets covered in saliva, hence the Water type.

Lickilicky
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Tail
- Return
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

Lickilicky
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Hyper Voice
- Thunderbolt
- Fire Blast

Mega Togekiss
Ability:
Pixilate
HP: 85
Atk: 50 ---> 150 (+100)
Def: 95 ---> 110 (+15)
SpA: 120 ---> 70 (-50)
SpD: 115 ---> 130 (+15)
Spe: 80 ---> 100 (+20)

New Move: Brave Bird
Description: Not much flavor, but Togekiss has access to Extreme Speed, so I thought it would be good to make a Mega that could abuse it. With high natural power, great bulk, and good speed, Mega Togekiss is a force to be reckoned with, held back by its best boosting move being Work Up.

Togekiss
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Drain Punch
- Brave Bird
- Roost

Mega Dusknoir
Ability:
Tough Claws
HP: 45
Atk: 100 ---> 160 (+60)
Def: 135 ---> 160 (+25)
SpA: 65 ---> 65 (+0)
SpD: 135 ---> 160 (+25)
Spe: 45 ---> 35 (-10)

Description: Dusknoir's blocky fingers develop into creepy claws (its base form still lacks claws, hence no Shadow Claw). Since Dusknoir's main STAB is the weak Shadow Punch, I considered giving it Technician or Iron Fist. Technician felt like ripping off Marshadow, and Iron Fist sucks and felt like ripping off Golurk.

Dusknoir
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Punch
- Shadow Sneak
- Brick Break / Power-Up Punch
- Ice Punch / Power-Up Punch

SpD: 95 -----> 115 (+20)
Spe: 50 ------> 45 (-5)
BST: 515 ------> 615 (+100)
New Moves: Gunk Shot, Sludge Bomb
Description: A powerful wallbreaker that uses Simple to either triple its attack with SD, or double its Sp. Atk. with Work Up. It also gains some bulk as well, letting it check pokes like Magearna, Clefable, Mega Lopunny, Serperior and Tapu Bulu. While this may seem broken, keep in mind that Mega Lickilicky's type is awful offensively, leaving it walled by Rock-types and Steel-types, and defensively, it can be broken through by foes like Specs or CM Tapu Lele, Excadrill, Mega Alakazam, and Garchomp.

Mega Togekiss
Abilities:

Spe: 80 -----> 90 (+10)
BST: 545 -----> 645 (+100)
New Moves: Draining Kiss, Giga Drain
Description: Basically Comfey for OU, except with Nasty Plot, a Flying-type, and a lot more bulk. Downsides include weaknesses to common pokes like Magnezone, Mega Scizor, Kyurem-B, and Tapu Koko, as well as being walled by Chansey.

Mega Dusknoir

SpD: 135 ------> 150 (+15)
Spe: 45 -------> 75 (+30)
BST: 525 ------> 625 (+100)
New Moves: Drain Punch, Knock Off
Description: A poke that uses the dreaded combo of No Guard + Dynamic Punch to wreak havoc. Its potent offensive typing lets it deal with many common pokes it OU, such as Tyranitar, Ash-Greninja, Ferrothorn and Chansey, while Shadow Sneak can pick off frail Ghosts like Blacephalon that are immune to Dynamic Punch. Despite this, its speed is still bad by OU standards, and its typing is not as great defensively as it is offensively.

New Moves: Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse, (Heal Pulse)
Description:
– It already knows some good pulse moves, and the Fairy/Dragon type combo is insanely defensive. With more special weaknesses than physical (~3.5:2 ratio for Special:Physical weaknesses), a greater boost to special defenses is demanded. Thankfully, Togekiss already has that, so I didn't need to do much.
– Heal Pulse is bounce-able. When we're talking Mega Evolution, there are at least 3 OU Pokémon with Magic Bounce as their Mega Ability. This takes INSANE advantage of that, granting Togekiss-Mega access to a possible 3/4 maximum HP recovery move under certain cases. Dark Pulse would be very good, considering the new high speed stat but it's just one less pulse move. Fairy group mons sorta don't ever use Dark Pulse, but Flying group mons do! Please consider allowing this Mega Launcher access to the three pulse moves it is missing (not counting Origin Pulse).

— Gets thicker, fatter, slower, stronker.

New Moves: Drain Punch, Earth Power
Description:
– Knows more Ground-type moves than Water-type moves, so I chose to stick with Ground type for STAB. I would have done a double type change, except it sorta needs its Normal type STAB. Most of these Normal-type attacks it knows are physical, and all of the Water-type attacks it knows are Special, and most of the Ground-type attacks it knows are physical. Physical STAB outweighed special, so Ground type comes out on top.
– However, with Ground typing comes Grass and Ice and Water weaknesses, thus higher SpD as attacks of those types are primarily special.
– I'm not minimaxing, since there are plenty of special moves in its pool, too!
– For Analytic, getting slower matters, because this thing also knows GYRO BALL. Analytic makes for a thicker Drain Punch recovery
– Flavorfully, it develops a scrupulous attitude, nitpicking what food it finds acceptable, which rubs off in battle, allowing it to deliver attacks more effectively from having gotten a taste for battle.
— Heavy gets heavier (+38.4 kg), but not enough to merit Heavy Slam.

New Moves: Spirit Shackle, Phantom Force
Description:
– See the asterisk. I could do Tough Claws... between that and Mummy.
– Dusknoir knows a lot of Special moves. It *can* be a trick room sweeper.
– With the new Dark type, it already gets STAB on all sorts of good moves, unlike Steel type.
– Spirit Shackle because STAB over Anchor Shot and Gyro Ball.
– Phantom Force for partial direct-damage immunity. Tell me if that's lame.
