Megas For All: V4! (Voting - Lickilicky, Togekiss, Dusknoir)

Would you guys be interested if I had MFA include Gen 8 mons when it comes out?

Canada Dan If you’re going to post during the voting phase, at least actually vote.
I don't think it counts for you to quote votes and slap yours on the end. Even more so he didn't even submit anything.

Okay, so I have a bit of a predicament. Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma are two distinctly different forms with essentially the same Mega in Ultra Burst. I bring this up because they do not have a conventional mega evo in the mod. My question is what should we do?

As you said, it is not a conventional mega. But it is still an in-battle transformation that changes base stats, form, name, ability and typing. I believe we treat it as a Mega and touch neither NecrozDusk/NecrozDawn or Solgaleo/Lunala. Now, this does leave Necrozma up for game. I think he could receive a try at a Mega. Unless I missed that slate.

Then we're done.

Solgaleo and Lunala don’t really have an in-battle form change like megas or Ultra Burst, seeing as how Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings occurs outside of battle. Now what to do with Zygarde because Power Construct is a thing?

Ignore Power Construct. Just make a Zygardite for 50% Zygarde. You can even make a Zygardite 10 and Zygardite 50 for 50% and 10% forms. Making a Mega Power Construct Zygarde just doesn't make sense and isn't possible

Fineee, I just don't personally agree with it. But it's fine. And if that slate came, I'd definitely make something for it.

Did you meant to quote the same post twice?

We have a three-way tie between -Latios, Scoopapa, and Anaconja for Mothim. My tiebreaker vote will go to Scoopapa, so he wins Mothim, DuccSucc wins Throh, and -Latios- wins Sawk. Next slate will be right up.

New Moves
: Recover

  • 145 Attack is solid and 105/95/130 bulk is quite good
  • Regenerator allows Muk to pivot in and out as it pleases. Add on Recover and it can make Muk very difficult to break.
  • Still struggles against Steel types due to its poor coverage.

New Moves
: Foul Play

  • 65/160/120 is pretty solid bulk but the main draw to this set is Weezing's type combination plus Levitate which gives it no weaknesses, outside of Mold Breaker users.
  • Foul Play allows Weezing to punish physical setup sweepers.
  • Weezing's main drawback is its lack of reliable recovery. Its only move to gain health besides Rest is Pain Split which can easily be played around.

New
Moves: Bulk Up
  • Good attack and bulk.
  • A secondary fighting type gives Garbodor a semi-unique typing, shared only with Croagunk and Toxicroak. It also gives it STAB on Drain Punch which is one of Garbodor's only forms of recovery.
  • Aftermath isn't an amazing ability, but it makes physical attackers a little bit more wary to be aggressive against Garbodor.
  • Bulk Up allows Garbodor to attempt to use its decent special bulk to set up.
  • Garbodor is very slow which makes it struggle against fast offensive teams.
  • Ground is an extremely common offensive typing and even with Garbodor's good bulk, Pokemon such as Landorus-T, Garchomp and Excadrill are going to do heavy damage to it.

Def: 75 → 110 (+35)
SpA: 65 → 50 (-15)
SpD: 100 → 120 (+20)
Spe: 50 → 60 (+10)

New Moves: Drain Punch, Toxic Spikes

Mega Muk's main niche lies in its ability Triage, which gives its Drain Punch and Giga Drain lol, priority. This, along with its new Fighting-type, allows it to check/counter (Mega) TTar, Exca, Tran, and Weavile before they can move. It also now has the bulk to take one of their attacks and retaliate. Toxic Spikes is also added because of it being a literal pile of sludge, and could also wear down many of its checks. However, this new Fighting-type makes it struggle even more against Mega Medi and Mew due to its new 4x weakness to Psychic. It also suffers from being unable to break through common defensive 'mons like Steela, Gliscor, and Pex, which can either deplete its health with Leech Seed, hit it with STAB EQ, or burn it with Scald respectively.

Weezing-Mega

Poison → Poison/Fire

Levitate Contrary

HP
: 65 (0)
Atk: 90 95 (+5)
Def: 120 140 (+20)
SpA: 85 130 (+45)
SpD: 70 90 (+20)
Spe: 60 70 (+10)

New Move: Overheat

Pretty-self explanatory, Mega Weezing uses Overheat with Contrary to boost its rather lacking Sp. Atk. for a mega to dangerous levels. This could potentially break almost an entire team due to a pretty large number of pokes weak to Fire, like Steela, Bulu, Ferro, and Mage. It also receives a modest increase in bulk. However, losing Levitate and its new Fire-type means that it is now weak to SR and Ground-types like Exca, Lando-T, and Chomp can now easily KO it, limiting its switch-in opportunities. Its low speed is also a major detriment, meaning faster threats that can hit it super effectively like Scarf Lando-T, Mega Zam, Mega Medi, and Ash-Gren will mean it may not be able to pull off a sweep. It also cannot break Tran w/o HP Ground

Mega Muk
Type
: Poison/Steel
Ability: Filter
Ht: 6' 11"
Wt: 324.1 lbs
HP: 105
Atk: 105 + 45 = 150
Def: 75 + 50 = 125
SpA: 65
SpD: 100 + 25 = 125
Spe: 50 - 20 = 30
New Moves: Iron Head, Heavy Slam
Description: Muk gets filled with sewage pipes and radioactive waste. Mega Muk is a massive physical tank, thanks to the added Steel typing and while that's sort of back-lashed by its now-4x weakness to Ground, Filter helps remedy that. Just keep in mind that Mega Muk's a little slower now, thanks to all that Steel. Iron head and Heavy Slam are for STAB. As long as you don't take too many Earthquakes, you'll wreak some serious havoc with this.
Based on this.

Mega Weezing
Type
: Poison/Electric
Ability: Levitate
HP: 65
Atk: 90
Def: 120 + 45 = 165
SpA: 85 + 20 = 105
SpD: 70 + 50 = 120
Spe: 60 - 15 = 45
Description: Weezing's gas becomes highly conductive and (more) explosive. The physical parts of Weezing thicken considerably to compensate. Weezing already had access to Electric type moves. Electric typing does a few things for Weezing, both offensively and defensively. Defensively there is no cost to the Electric-typing, as Weezing possesses the Levitate ability. As a result, Weezing only benefits from this typing, offered 3 resistances. Offensively, Weezing gets STAB Thunderbolt.
Based on this.

Mega Garbodor
Type
: Poison/Steel
Ability: Landfill - (Berserk Clone) - Boosts the Pokémon's Spe stat when it takes a hit that causes its HP to become half or less.
HP: 80
Atk: 95 + 25 = 120
Def: 82 - 75 = 7
SpA: 60 + 60 = 120
SpD: 82 - 70 = 12
Spe: 75 + 60 = 135
New Moves: Iron Head, Flash Cannon
Description: Garboder's bag is ripped apart as it adds an egregious amount of trash to its body. This makes it enormous, but very unstable. Mixed Sweeper with frail defenses.

Weight: 11.5 kg

New Moves: Gunk Shot, Recover
Description: A heavy tank. This guy has no weaknesses, while boasting a total 4 resistances and 1 immunity. New moves allow him to take and dish out damage. Also, 65/150/100 is nothing to laugh at with these new tools and abilities. No good Dark STAB, but Assurance/Payback are rather nice moves and 95 Special Attack is usable enough for a Dark Pulse. It even has Toxic Spikes to act as a lead.

Description: I tried to make sure to differentiate between Alolan Muk and Mega Muk. I thought of how to make sure there's a difference so Mega Muk doesn't fulfill the same role. Now it doesn't. It instead makes an offensive spinner, akin to Forretress or Excadrill. I couldn't think of a good second move, as Flying STAB isn't needed due to Aerilate, but it could use a speed boost.

The Industrial Revolution has provided plenty of benefits to humanity; hell, I have mass production and capitalism to thank for the laptop that I'm typing on right now. However, our easy access to affordable products has come with a price, in the form of massive piles of garbage that are nearly impossible to get rid of.

And that's what Mega Garbodor is: a massive pile of garbage that's nearly impossible for the opponent to get rid of. Mega Garbodor will be a staple on toxic stall teams, thanks to its reliable recovery, excellent defensive typing, and its ability that lets it tank plenty of SE moves that it couldn't otherwise. (In fact, I calced it, and with max physical defense it has a chance of surviving an Earthquake from Landorus-T. How about that?)
