Mega Grapploct
New Ability: Limber / Technician ----> Regenerator
New Typing: Water / Fighting
New Stats:
HP: 80 ----> 80
Attack: 118 ----> 138 (+20)
Defense: 90 ----> 120 (+30)
Special Attack: 70 ----> 70
Special Defense: 80 ----> 105 (+25)
Speed: 42 ----> 67 (+25)
Base Stat Total: 480 ----> 580
New Moves: Knock Off, Gunk Shot
Design: Upon mega evolving, the tentacle that makes up its "belt" turns into a bronze color, and has grown to surround its waist. It has two appendages on the side of its head, both resembling the weird structures that are on Copperajah's trunk. Its fists have yellow markings at the ends resembling arrow ends as well, and its arms (the ones it uses for punching and grabbing stuff) are slightly longer as well
Height: 5'09"
Weight: 119.7 lbs.
Pokedex Entries:
Sword: The energy from mega evolution strengthened its muscles, but hijacked its brain in the process, making it extremely aggressive. One punch from it could land a sizeable dent in even the strongest steel.
Shield: Lurking in the water, it waits for a target to walk past it, unsuspecting. Then it grabs them with two of its tentacles and punches them repeatedly with strength even greater than Hitmonchan before dragging the corpse down into the sea with it.
Description: Mega Grapploct's stats, ability, and Octolock spell out its main niche: stallbreaking and even deleting offensive teams depending on the situation. Regenerator gives it some much-needed longevity, thus allowing it to run more power STAB moves like, say, Close Combat, and allowing it to run other coverage moves, like Knock Off for the numerous Ghost-types, Ice Punch for flyers, and Liquidation for its main Water-type STAB. Its bulk is definitely an improvement over its base form's, thus allowing it to function as a strong, bulky attacker that can also perform other roles as well, and so is its speed, which now allows it to outspeed most, if not all, defensive walls. Unfortunately, said speed tier is still relatively poor, and without a way to boost it, Mega Grapploct's still moving last most of the time, and this is especially notable against offensive teams. Moreover, Mega Grapploct's strength is average at best in a metagame filled with powerhouses like Ash-Greninja, so, when combined with its lack of strong coverage, it may need to rely on prior damage to KO most threats.
Mega Copperajah
New Ability: Sheer Force / Heavy Metal ----> Sheer Force
New Typing: Steel
New Stats:
HP: 122 ----> 122
Attack: 130 ----> 150 (+20)
Defense: 69 ----> 129 (+60)
Special Attack: 80 ----> 70 (-10)
Special Defense: 69 ----> 89 (+20)
Speed: 30 ----> 40 (+10)
Base Stat Total: 500 ----> 600
New Moves: Icicle Crash, Knock Off
Design: Likewise with its G-Max forme, a lot of the energy from mega evolution goes into its trunk, thus turning it into something similar to its G-Max form. However, the trunk retains its size and length. It has dark plating, like armor, on its back, and this extends downwards but doesn't cover its entire trunk. Its tusks are longer as well and are sharper on the ends. Its feet have metal plating similar to Mega Aggron's and two horns extend from the rocks on its head.
Height: 10'05"
Weight: 2150.7 lbs.
Pokedex Entries:
Sword: The energy from mega evolution hardened the steel on its body and strengthened its trunk. It could break a diamond into pieces with a single swing.
Shield: Mega Evolution strengthened the cells in its steel, making its steel almost indestructible. As a result, this Pokemon could carry over 750 tons without getting tired!
Description: Copperajah's main role in NatDex OU is basically similar to what Mega Aggron and Mega Steelix provide for UU: a slow but powerful defensive-offensive threat. Its coverage is absolutely fantastic - between Earthquake, Heat Crash, Icicle Crash, and even Power Whip and Knock Off, Copperajah's wide pool of viable coverage moves make it a formidable threat as not just a TR Abuser, but also, as an offensive SR setter. Despite its still horrendous speed, its high attack stat, combined with the aforementioned coverage moves, usually forces Defoggers to play a 50/50 - choose the wrong decision and it's pretty much "hasta la vista" for the opponent's team. Heck, its high HP and fantastic bulk allow it to tank a strong hit if it needs to as well, thus allowing Copperajah to fill numerous roles. Unfortunately, that low speed of its really holds it back from being top tier, forcing it to move last 90% of the time, which, combined with its lack of recovery, spells trouble for Copperajah, as it may not be able to respond back before being KOed. Moreover, it also suffers from 4MSS - no matter what it runs, it's getting walled by something - if it doesn't run Icicle Crash, then Lando-T walls it with ease; if it doesn't run Knock Off, then Galarian Corsola walls it real good.
Mega Frosmoth
New Ability: Shield Dust / Ice Scales ----> Winter's Barrier (Magic Guard clone)
New Typing: Ice / Bug
New Stats:
HP: 75 ----> 75
Attack: 65 ----> 50 (-15)
Defense: 60 ----> 80 (+20)
Special Attack: 125 ----> 145 (+20)
Special Defense: 90 ----> 120 (+30)
Speed: 65 ----> 110 (+45)
Base Stat Total: 475 ----> 575
New Moves: Moonlight, Earth Power
Design: As Mega Frosmoth, its wings turn an icy blue, and 4 icicles float under its wings, which it controls with its mysterious power. Its antennae become longer and sharper at the ends as well, and its "mouth" has 2 "eyes".
Height: 4'09"
Weight: 88.2 lbs.
Pokedex Entries:
Sword: If you happen to wander upon a nest of Snom, expect to find this variant of Frosmoth. This pokemon is usually considered the queen/king of a pack of Snom, and it defends them aggresively.
Shield: This aggresive pokemon creates blizzards to freeze those that vandalize icy caves or those that hunt down Snom. It will defend a trusted trainer in the same way it does with Snom, however.
Description: Frosmoth suffered the most in its base form due to its poor speed, physical defense, and shallow movepool, not even getting stuff like Psychic and Shadow Ball, thus making it easy to wall, not to mention its shitty defensive typing that essentially mandated Heavy Duty Boots for its item. Now this is no longer the case! Its newfound access to Earth Power allows it to hit stuff like Aegislash and Mega Metagross, thus making it no longer walled by them, while Moonlight allows it to viably run bulky QD variants. Mega Frosmoth's new base 110 speed tier, makes it even faster after a single Quiver Dance, and no longer mandates having it to set up Quiver Dance twice. Winter's Barrier is basically just there to prevent hazard damage, which Frosmoth really appreciates. As powerful as this seems, Frosmoth still isn't perfect - it lacks strong coverage, so it will have to rely on prior damage to KO bulkier foes, especially if they resist its STABs. Moreover, Frosmoth's physical bulk is still far from great, which, combined with its poor defensive typing, leaves it forced out by strong physical attackers like Mega Metagross and Mega Scizor, with the latter being able to hit it super effectively a la Bullet Punch while not being forced out thanks to taking neutral damage from Frosmoth's Earth Power.
