[OVERVIEW]
Normal
========

Meloetta's high Special Attack stat, massive movepool, and great offensive typing make it a dangerous special wallbreaker that can take care of passive walls such as Toxapex and Hippowdon, and its great Special Defense allows it to take attacks from Pokemon like Clefable, Latios, and Zapdos. Meloetta helps balance Normal greatly, serving as a special attacker, and its STAB Psychic moves help its more passive teammates like Chansey and Porygon2 deal with threats like Toxapex and Mega Venusaur in the Poison matchup. Meloetta can also take care of faster Pokemon like Gengar and Latios. However, its base 90 Speed tier is quite mediocre to fulfill a role of a revenge killer or wallbreaker, as it gets outsped by common Pokemon in the tier like Landorus-T, Keldeo, and Terrakion even when running Choice Scarf. While its Psychic typing can help with some matchups, it also leaves Meloetta weak to moves like Knock Off and Pursuit from common Pokemon like Bisharp and Alolan Muk. Furthermore, Meloetta has a mediocre Defense stat that limits what it can switch into because it gets easily KOed by the likes of Victini and Excadrill. It also faces competition with Porygon-Z as its team's special attacker because of Z-Conversion transforming Porygon-Z into a Ghost-type and making it immune to Fighting-type moves.

Moves

Hyper Voice is powerful STAB move that also goes through Substitute, which is useful against Pokemon like Suicune, Sharpedo, and Zapdos. Psychic is another powerful STAB move that helps with breaking passive Pokemon like Toxapex and Mega Venusaur and helps with Fighting-types like Terrakion and Infernape. Shadow Ball helps greatly with Ghost- and Psychic-types and allows Meloetta to break Gengar and Latias so its passive teammates don't have to worry about dealing with a Special Defense drop or Trick. Focus Blast helps with Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Tyranitar.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature is run with maximum EVs in Speed to outspeed Pokemon like Nidoking and Zapdos. 252 EVs in Special Attack along with a Choice Specs turn Meloetta into a powerful wallbreaker. The ability Serene Grace can make secondary effects happen more often with Psychic, Shadow Ball, or Focus Blast.

Usage Tips
========

Use Meloetta early-game, as its wallbreaking power can let its STAB moves easily dent walls and threats to its teammates. Meloetta has great Special Defense, so switch it in on neutral or resisted special attacks such as Rotom-W’s Hydro Pump and Clefable's Moonblast. Meloetta can also switch in safely on passive walls that do not threaten it like Toxapex, Mega Venusaur, and Hippowdon. Take advantage of a slow U-turn from Staraptor or following a teammate fainting to safely bring in Meloetta. Do not bring it in on physical wallbreakers such as Azumarill, Diggersby, and Sand Rush Excadrill, because it will get easily KOed. Similarly, Meloetta should never stay in on potential Choice Scarf users that can threaten it such as Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, and Victini, as they can KO it before it can hit back. Be careful around Knock Off users such as Bisharp, Azumarill, and Landorus-T, as losing its item greatly hurts Meloetta's wallbreaking power. Be wary of potential Pursuit users that can trap and remove Meloetta such as Alolan Muk, Scizor, and Mega Aerodactyl. Also, be careful what move Meloetta uses, as locking into the wrong move makes it vulnerable to being Pursuit trapped by the likes of Tyranitar and Alolan Muk or set up on by Pokemon like Bisharp and Mega Scizor.

Team Options
========

Chansey can sponge special attacks from threats like Tapu Koko and Hydreigon that threaten Meloetta. It can also set up Stealth Rock to break Focus Sash and limit how many times a Pokemon can be brought in, which allows Meloetta to secure KOs on Thundurus-T and Landorus. Porygon2 can take physical attacks that Meloetta cannot like Victini's V-create and Mega Sharpedo's Crunch. Staraptor takes care of entry hazards for Meloetta with Defog, has Intimidate to help with threats like Mega Lopunny and Infernape, and can help Meloetta get safely into the field with its slow U-turn, which can easily help preserve Meloetta for later in the game. Mega Lopunny can provide great help in the Dark-type matchup and take care of threats like Mega Sableye and Bisharp. Mega Pidgeot can help take care of Fighting Pokemon as well as use U-turn to get it in safely on a predicted switch. Diggersby is a great physical wallbreaker that can take care of threats for Meloetta such as Mantine with Return and Celesteela with Fire Punch. Ditto can help against common setup users like Mega Charizard X and Bisharp by threatening a reverse sweep and pressuring them, and it is able to outpace any Pokemon that is not Choice Scarf itself thanks to its own Choice Scarf. Smeargle is a great suicide lead on hyper offensive Normal, setting hazards and allowing Meloetta to outspeed Pokemon it usually could not thanks to Sticky Web.

Moves
========

Psychic is powerful STAB move that can revenge kill Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Heracross and Choice Specs Keldeo. Shadow Ball helps greatly with Ghost- and Psychic-types and allows Meloetta to break Blacephalon and Mega Gallade thanks to its Choice Scarf. Focus Blast helps with Rock- and Steel-types such as Tyranitar, Excadrill, and Stakataka. U-turn is run to gain momentum, since Meloetta often forces in Pokemon like Bisharp, Mega Siczor, and Alolan Muk. Hyper Voice is another STAB move that can do neutral damage as a safe opening attack and goes through Substitute, a move that Pokemon like Mega Sharpedo and Zapdos commonly use.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature is run with maximum Speed EVs and Choice Scarf to outpace common Choice Scarf users such as Excadrill, Heracross, and Tapu Bulu. 252 EVs in Special Attack help maximize Meloetta's damage output. The ability Serene Grace can increase the chance that opposing stats will drop from Psychic, Shadow Ball, or Focus Blast.

Usage Tips
========

It's best to bring in Meloetta against threats that it takes a hit well from and beats such as Zapdos, Blacephalon, Nidoking, and passive Pokemon like Toxapex, Mega Venusaur, and Torkoal. Bluffing a Choice Specs set with U-turn is an option to gain momentum on the opponent. Another way to get Meloetta in safely is on a predicted switch, which can lead to gaining momentum with U-turn. Do not bring it in on physical wallbreakers like Azumarill, Diggersby, and Dragonite, because with Meloetta's poor physical bulk, it will get easily KOed. Be wary of Knock Off users such as Mega Sableye, Azumarill, and Landorus-T, as the loss of Meloetta's Choice Scarf leaves it outpaced by Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu. Also be careful around status moves such as Toxic or Thunder Wave from common users such as Zapdos, Chansey, and Celesteela, because Toxic puts Meloetta on a timer and Thunder Wave causes it to be outpaced by Pokemon such as Excadrill. Be aware that Meloetta's much lower damage output will give its item away to the opponent and give away that common walls like Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Slowbro can withstand attacks from it. Be careful with locking into the wrong move, as this can lead to a dangerous situation where Meloetta can get Pursuit trapped or set up on by the likes of Mega Charizard X and Bisharp.

Team Options
========

Chansey can set up Stealth Rock to help Meloetta secure KOs and soak up attacks from Pokemon that threaten it like Alolan Raichu and Greninja. Porygon2 is a staple for Normal balance teams with its ability to take on strong physical attacks from Pokemon that Meloetta cannot like Victini and Mega Scizor. Staraptor takes care of entry hazards with Defog, which can help prolong Meloetta's longevity, punishes physical attackers with Rocky Helmet and lower their Attack with Intimidate, and provide Meloetta momentum with its slow U-turn and gets it on the field safely to deal with faster threats like Terrakion and Infernape. Meloetta struggles with Dark-type Pokemon, so Mega Lopunny helps greatly with Dark- and Steel-types like Alolan Muk, Bisharp, and Ferrothorn. Mega Pidgeot takes care of Fighting Pokemon and can also help in the Steel matchup, taking on Pokemon that Meloetta struggles with like Celesteela and Heatran with Heat Wave and Hidden Power Ground. Diggersby is a powerful physical wallbreaker that can take care of threats to Meloetta like Zapdos with Return, Mega Scizor with Fire Punch, and Empoleon with Earthquake.

Normal
--------

Meloetta can run a Calm Mind set with Leftovers and Substitute and a spread of 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe that can become really dangerous after setting up and take down threats like Suicune. However, this limits Meloetta to Psyshock and Thunderbolt as attacking moves, which can limit what Pokemon it can knock out. Psyshock can be used over Psychic on the Choice Specs set to hit Pokemon like Chansey, but it doesn't come with a chance of getting a Special Defense drop and cannot take care of Buzzwole. Dazzling Gleam is another option to deal with troubling Dark-types such as Mega Sableye and Hydreigon, but this means usually dropping an important move like Hyper Voice. A Modest nature can be used over Timid on the Choice Specs set, but this makes Meloetta lose the ability to outspeed Nidoking and Mamoswine. Trick can be run to cripple passive Pokemon like Mantine or a setup Pokemon like Bisharp at the cost of dropping one of its coverage moves. Thunderbolt can be used on the Choice Specs set to hit Pokemon like Mantine and Celesteela, but this forces Meloetta to drop a move that it needs like Focus Blast.

Checks and Counters
===================

Normal
-------

**Pursuit**: Meloetta can easily be Pursuit trapped by Pokemon like Mega Aerodactyl, Alolan Muk, and Scizor, leaving Meloetta heavily damaged or KOed.

**Dark-types**: Focus Blast is too unreliable to effectively deal with the Dark-types that counter Meloetta, as it can easily get KOed by STAB Knock Off, Pursuit, or Sucker Punch from common Dark-type Pokemon like Bisharp, Alolan Muk, and Krookodile. It also has trouble with Mega Sableye, as it can easily take any of Meloetta's attacks.

**Bug-types**: Bug-types like Heracross and Scizor easily scare out Meloetta with their super effective moves, but Heracross has to be wary if Meloetta is using a Choice Scarf. Both of these Pokemon also commonly run Pursuit, which heavily dents Meloetta.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Chansey and Mantine can easily wall Meloetta, cripple it with Toxic, and recover any type of damage they receive.

**Revenge Killers**: Revenge killers like Victini, Kyurem-B, and Tapu Bulu threaten Meloetta and KO it due to their powerful attacks.

**Physical Wallbreakers**: Physical wallbreakers like Azumarill, Excadrill, and Dragonite can easily KO Meloetta from full HP due to its mediocre defenses.

MMagma I'm going to suggest putting this back into WIP. Sentences between sets should not be straight up copy paste. Even if they're conveying the same point, they need to be phrased differently and/or provide differing examples. The difference in power between scarf and specs in moves alone is enough to warrant separate examples.

[OVERVIEW]

* Meloetta has a great Special Attack stat, (AC) and a massive movepool, and a great offensive typing that can make Meloetta a dangerous special wallbreaker. This allows it to take care of passive walls such as Toxapex and Hippowdon. Just a GP tip, but you don’t have to say Meloetta twice in the same sentence. Say “it” to make it sound less repetitive.
* Also, it helps greatly with allowing balance Normal have an offensive presence with helping out its more passive members like Chansey and Porygon2 with threats such as
trick users like Latios, and Gengar. Too specific of an example here. What I would point out is how well it does against Poison-types like venu/pex/etc that the defensive core struggles with.
*
It can also be used on hyper offensive teams with support from Sticky Webs, which furthers its use as a special wallbreaker with outspeeding threats like Keldeo and Gallade. More of a Team Options comment, not really suited for Overview.
* Its Psychic-typing helps it greatly take care of Fighting threats such as Breloom, and Kommo-o. It also helps out in the Psychic matchup with resisting Psyshic moves and hit back with Shadow Ball. Poison matchup is really important.
* However, Meloetta has a mediocre Defense stat which limits what it can switch into. It also faces competition with
Mega Pidgeot for being the special attacker that has recovery from Roost, and more Speed to outpace Keldeo, but therefore giving up the mega slot. Wouldn’t Porygon-Z be a much better example of a great special attacker it competes with?

Moves

* Hyper Voice is powerful Normal-STAB that is easily spammable if there is no Pokemon that resist for some massive damage. It also goes though Substitute.
* Dazzling Gleam is another option to deal with troubling Dark-types such as Mega Sableye and Meloetta does not care about being burnt. More of an OO thing, I don’t think DGleam is worth including in its main set. Also, I would replace it with something else over Hyper Voice which is its most spammable STAB a lot of the time.
* Psychic is another powerful Psychic-STAB does helps with breaking passive Pokemon like Toxapex. It also easily 2HKOes many Pokemon that do
es not resist or is are immune to Psychic.
* Shadow Ball helps greatly with Ghost- and Psychic-types and allows it to break Gengar without its passive members worrying about a Special Defense drop or a trick from Gengar. Gengar isn’t a good example since Psychic already bops it. Mention opposing Psychic-types like Mew.
* Focus Blast helps with the Steel matchup with Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Heatran.

Set Details
========

* Timid is ran with max EVs in Speed to outspeed Nidoking, and Zapdos. The phrasing makes it sound like it only outspeeds these 2 mons.
* 252 EVs in Special Attack is ran to help maximize damage to become a powerful wallbreaker.
* The ability Serene Grace can make secondary effects happen more often with Psychic, Shadow Ball or Focus Blast.
* The item Choice Specs boosts its Special Attack, making it hit a lot harder, but locked into the first move it executes.

Usage Tips
========
* Use this early game as its wallbreaking power can easily dent walls and threats to its teammates
early game with one of its STAB moves.
* Bring it in on a special attack Pokemon that is not super effective, like Zapdos, Rotom-W and Nihilego. Again, the phrasing on this is a little weird even though I get what you mean.
* Passive walls that do not threaten Meloetta like Toxapex, Mega Venusaur and Hippowdon that Meloetta can easily switch into safely is an ideal way for Meloetta to come in and damage any Pokemon that comes in. Mention also its really good natural special bulk, allowing it to check offensive Pokemon such as x.
*
U-turn from Staraptor can easily bring Meloetta safely in without taking any damage. More of a Team Option.
* Do not bring it in on band Pokemon, or Pokemon with Huge Power like Azumarril, Diggersby, and Sand Rush Excadrill because with Meloetta's poor defense bulk it will get easily KOed. Rephrase to just say don’t bring it in on powerful physical breakers such as the ones you mentioned. This is oddly specific.
* Physical scarfers that outspeed like Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, and Victini can KO Meloetta before it can hit back.
* Status moves like Toxic from common Pokemon like Zapdos, Gastrodon and Cradily can hinder Meloetta and puts it on a timer.
* Be careful around Knock Off users such as Seismitoad, Azumarill, and Landorus-T as this greatly hurts Meloetta and forces to lose its item, Choice Specs which means it will lose its wallbreaking power.

Team Options
========

*Chansey can sponge Special Attacks from threats like Latios, Tapu Koko, and Hydreigion. It can also set up Stealth Rocks to break Focus Sashes, and limit how many times a Pokemon can brought in. It can also Toxic a Pokemon to put it on a timer. Briefly mention why Meloetta appreciates all of this.
* Porygon2 can take Physical Attacks while helping in the flying matchup with Discharge and Ice Beam and in the Steel Matchup with Hidden Power Fire. Discharge also has a chance to paralyze Toxapex, or Celesteela which can help greatly with stopping them from recovering additional HP with Leech Seed or Recover. See above.

* Staraptor takes care of Hazards with Defog and can punish Physical Attackers with Rocky Helmet and get their Attack down with Intimidate which can easily help preserve Meloetta for later in the game. Mention giving Melo safe opportunities to come in thanks to U-turn.
* Mega Lopunny can greatly help in the Dark matchup thanks to its Fighting typing it gains from Mega Evolving. It can also chip Pokemon with Fake out or Encore threats such as Suicune. OHKOing Mega Sableye as well is huge as it normally hard walls Meloetta.
*
Mega Pidgeot and Meloetta together can help take care of Fighting Pokemon and can also offer Tailwind support on a hyper offensive team with Smeragle. I wouldn’t include Mega Pidgeot.
* Diggersby is a great Physical wallbreaker that can go together with Meloetta for a power wallbreaking duo that can take care of threats for Meloetta like Azumarril with Quick Attack and help break annoying walls such as Mantine with Return, Celesteela with Fire Punch and Toxapex with Earthquake. Make it a point somewhere that the core basically secures the Poison matchup and helps vs bulkier types like Water, etc.
* Porygon-Z can become a late game sweeper with Z-Conversation as this allows it to transform into a Ghost-type and be immune to Fighting-type attacks. Its Boltbeam coverage helps greatly with Flying- and Dragon types.
* Ditto allows a reverse sweep and pressures set up users thanks to its imposter ability and being able to outpace thanks to Choice Scarf.

* Smeragle is a great suicide lead on hyper offensive Normal with hazards and allowing Meloetta to out speed Pokemon it usually could not thanks to Sticky Web.

I would go into detail with how these teammates help Meloetta and how Meloetta helps these teammates. You only bring up their role on the team and not the positive effect they have on Meloetta.

Moves
========

* Psychic is powerful Psychic-STAB does helps with Poison-type Pokemon once Alolan Muk is gone. Also it can revenge kill pokemon such as Scarf Heracross and Choice Specs keldeo.
* Shadow Ball helps greatly with Ghost- and Psychic-types and allows it to break Latios without its passive members worrying about being tricked.
* Focus Blast helps with the Steel match up with Pokemon such as Excadrill and Heatran. Same bullet from other set. Mention Dark-types as a focus this time.
* U-Turn makes this a Pivot and gives it momentum to switch out to a Pokemon that can take care of the opposing Pokemon, and it can also be used to scout an opponents switch in, or what item / set the opponent is.
* Hyper Voice is Normal-STAB that can do neutral damage as a safe opening attack. It also goes though Substitute. Mention its good neutral coverage with Psychic and Focus Blast.

Set Details
========

* Timid is ran with max EVs to outpace common scarfers such as Excadrill and Tapu Bulu.
* 252 EVs in Special Attack is ran to help maximize damage output from its moves.
* The ability Serene Grace can make a secondary effect drop happen more often with Psychic, Shadow Ball or Focus Blast.
* The item Choice Scarf boost its Speed, but locks it into the first move it executes. You can merge this with the first bullet and just mention how Timid + Scarf + 252 Speed makes it as fast as possible.

Usage Tips
========

* Bring it in on a special Pokemon that isn't super effective, like Zapdos, Blacephalon and Nidoking. You’re still repeating a lot of the same points from the Specs set even though Scarf fills a completely different role.
* Try to bring in it on Pokemon that are more passive like Toxapex. A bit of a broad statement here. The Scarf set gets walled by quite a lot so it's not a good idea to bring it out vs Mantine, Chansey, etc. Clarify what it's safe to bring out on.
* Meloetta can revenge kill Pokemon like Buzzwole, and Heracross due to outpacing these threats thanks to Choice Scarf and with how troubling it can be for its teammates.
* U-turn makes this a great pivot Pokemon to scout for items, lead, or get in a Pokemon that is better suited for the opponent's Pokemon. Mention how it can provide a safe switch-in for a potential teammate.
* Do not bring it in on Choice Band Pokemon, or Pokemon with Huge Power like Azumarril, Diggersby, and Dragonite because with Meloetta's poor Defensive bulk it will get easily KOed. Rephrase this to just say "don't bring it out on physical breakers such as x and y." This is oddly specific.
* Physical scarfers that outspeed such as Kyurem-B, Infernape, and Terrakion are threats that can easily KO Meloetta. Well, none of those Pokemon can actually OHKO Meloetta from full so I'd clear up that they only KO it after it's been weakened.
* Be wary of Knock Off users such as Mega Sableye, Azumarill, and Landorus-T as this greatly dents Meloetta and loses its item, Choice Scarf which means it will lose its extra speed and being outpaced by Scarf Excadrill.
* Be careful around status moves such as Toxic or Thunder Wave from common Pokemon such as Zapdos, Chansey and Celesteela because Toxic puts it on a timer and Thunder Wave causes Meloetta to lose speed to outpace Pokemon such as
Excadrill. You've said Excadrill quite a while now, use a diff example.

Team Options
========

*Chansey can tank Special Attacks from threats like Greninja, Gengar, and Alolan Raichu. It can also set up Stealth Rocks to break Focus Sashes, and limit how many times a Pokemon can brought in. It can also Toxic a Pokemon to put it on a timer. It can also soak up status as its ability Natural Cure removes status upon switching out. Bit of an awkward/repetitive phrasing on this bullet, seems like it can be merged into one or two sentences.
* Porygon 2 can take Physical Attacks while helping in the flying match up with Discharge and Ice Beam and in the Steel Match up with Hidden Power Fire. Discharge also has a chance to paralyze Toxapex, or Celesteela which can help greatly with stopping them from recovering additional HP with Leech Seed or Recover. How does Meloetta appreciate any of this?
* Staraptor takes care of Hazards with Defog and can punish Physical Attackers with Rocky Helmet and get their Attack down with Intimidate. It also gives momentum with its U-turn to go into a Pokemon that can take care of the Pokemon on the field. This is great for faster threats like Terrakion or Infernape to afraid Meloetta getting heavily damaged.
* Mega Lopunny can aid in the Dark match up thanks to its Fighting typing it gains from mega evolving. It can also chip Pokemon with Fake out or Encore threats such as Suicune. OHKOing Mega Sableye is huge, again.
* Mega Pidgeot and Meloetta together can help take care of Fighting Pokemon. Mega Pidgeot can also help in the Steel match up with Heat Wave and Hidden Power Ground.
* Diggersby is a powerful Physical wallbreaker that can take care of Azumarril with Quick Attack and help break annoying walls such as Zapdos with Return, Ferrothorn with Fire Punch and Stakataka with Earthquake. It can't really beat Azumarill, though. QA does not KO, rest is fine.
* Porygon-Z can become a late game sweeper with Z-Conversation as this allows it to transform into a Ghost-type and be immune to Fighting-type attacks. Its Boltbeam coverage helps greatly with Flying- and Dragon types.
* Ditto allows a reverse sweep and pressures set up users that could threaten members like Mega Gallade thanks to its Imposter ability and being able to outpace thanks to Choice Scarf.

There is still a good amount of repetition from the Team Options in the first set.

Meloetta can run Leftovers with Substitute with a spread of 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe and become really dangerous after setting up a few Calm Minds to take down threats like Suicune. But this limits Meloetta to two moves to attack with which would be Psyshock and Thunderbolt, which can limit of what Pokemon it can kill. I don't think this is viable enough to put in OO.
* Psyshock can be used over Psychic to hit Pokemon like Chansey, but at the cost of running Psyshock means no drop in Special Defense and cannot take care of Buzzwole.
* Modest nature on the Choice Specs set can be used over a Timid nature, but doing this makes it lose the ability to outspeed Nidoking, and Mamoswine without Sticky Web support.
*Trick can be ran, but at the cost of dropping Shadow Ball, Focus Blast or one of its STABs can cause it to lose out on hitting some Pokemon but in return can trick a passive Pokemon like Mantine, or a set up Pokemon like Bisharp.

Checks and Counters
===================

Normal
--------

**Mega Sableye**: I'd give msab its own section here, since it's such an amazing check to Meloetta.

**Dark-types**: Dark-types threaten Meloetta with their super effective moves and how easily they can ware down Meloetta.
While Meloetta can have Focus Blast, due to its low accuracy it can easily miss and get KOed. Meloetta can easily get KOed by Knock Off, Pursuit or Sucker Punch from common Dark-type Pokemon like Alolan Muk, Bisharp, and Krookodile.

**Revenge Killers**:

**Bug-types**: Bug-types like Heracross and Scizor easily scare out Meloetta with their super-effective moves, also both of these Pokemon commonly run Pursuit that easily dents Meloetta.

**Pursuit**: Be careful around Pokemon such as Heracross, and Alolan Muk as Pursuit can cause Meloetta to get KOed, since Pursuit will double in power if Meloetta is trying to switch out if its locked into a non effective move or a move that barely damages the Pokemon.

**Knock off**: Be wary of Pokemon with knock off such as Landorus-T, Alolan Muk, and Azumarill. This forces Meloetta to lose its iteam causing it to be non-choiced but with the price of being heavily dented and easily in range of being killed by any attack.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Chansey, and Cradily can easily wall Meloetta cripple it with Toxic and recover any type of damage with their recovery moves.

**Physical Wallbreakers**: Physical Wallbreakers like Victini and Azumarill can easily KO Meloetta from full HP due to its medicore defenses.
Sorry for the lengthy AM check, just implement what you agree with.

I'll implement with what I agree with since I didn't agree with some of it if memory recalls correctly. I will look over the am check when I get back from Disneyworld July 8 and edit this.

Overview:
- Special defense stat should be added in allowing it to take many special attacks pretty well. Things like Zapdos, Clefable, etc.
- There should be somewhere listed about its speed stat being a con. Base 90 speed, especially for a wallbreaker and revenge killer like Meloetta isn't much of anything to hit home about.
- There should be something about Meloetta's psychic typing coming with a cost, which is being weak to Knock Off and Pursuit users. Even though it's mentioned further down in the analysis, the overview should also point out its main flaws too and you only have Meloetta's typing as a positive to normal.

[SET]

move 2: Psychic
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Focus Blast

evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Dazzling Gleam shouldn't be in the set and would rather move it to OO. The move is more of a necessity against dark matchups when you're using psychic. Unlike psychic teams, normal has access to a reliable teammate in threatening Mega Sableye such as Mega Lopunny, which can beat Mega Sableye and KO it with HJK. Meloetta can't afford to run Dazzling Gleam just for 1 thing in substitute for any other attack listed above.

Moves:
- What notable threats that Meloetta is able to 2HKO with Psychic?

Usage Tips:
- When you say bring in Meloetta on a special attack that's not super effective, it sounds as if Meloetta "can" take a special attack, which isn't always the case here. Even Meloetta wouldn't be able to take a strong special attack from something like Tapu Koko Tbolt under E Terrain or a FBlast from Zard Y under the sun. Instead, it should be rephrased as, "Meloetta has great special bulk, so switch-in on weak special attacks such as...."
* U-turn from Staraptor can easily bring Meloetta safely in without taking any damage.
- Definitely phrased as a team option comment so it shouldn't be put here. Rephrase saying, "Meloetta can also be brought in on a slow U-turn user such as Staraptor or from a fainted teammate without taking any damage."
* Do not bring it in on band Pokemon, or Pokemon with Huge Power like Azumarril, Diggersby, and Sand Rush Excadrill because with Meloetta's poor defensive bulk it will get easily KOed.
- Just say physical wallbreakers.
- Your comment about choice scarf users: Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, and Victini are phrased more as a checks and counters sentence and not a usage tip. It should say something like, "Meloetta should never stay in on potential choice scarf users such as....."
* Status moves like Toxic from common Pokemon like Zapdos, Gastrodon and Cradily can hinder Meloetta and puts it on a timer.
- More like a checks and counters sentence. I wouldn't put it there but just rephrase saying it should avoid being poisoned as it shortens its longevity.

Team Options:
* Chansey can sponge Special Attacks from threats like Latios, Tapu Koko, and Hydreigion that threaten Meloetta. It can also set up Stealth Rocks to break Focus Sashes, and limit how many times a Pokemon can brought in.
- Allowing Meloetta to secure KOes easier.
* Mega Lopunny can greatly help in the Dark matchup thanks to its Fighting typing it gains from Mega Evolving. This paired up with Dazzling Gleam Meloetta can easily take on Dark-types. If Meloetta is not running Dazzling Gleam, Mega Lopunny can take care of Mega Sableye which is a big threat to Meloetta. It can also chip Pokemon with Fake out or Encore threats such as Suicune.
- Remove Dazzling Gleam mentioning.
- People reading this is most likely going to assume that Quick Attack from Diggersby alone is going to KO Azumarill. I would just remove this one since you mentioned it in the scarf section already.
- Remove mentioning of Tailwind from Mega Pidgeot.

- I mean you mention the steel matchup already, try and mix it up a bit instead of reiterating the same thing. "It hits Dark-, Steel-, and Rock-types such as...." or something.
- U-turn doesn't have Meloetta scout for items, Protect has more sense in doing that, especially against choiced users. I would say that U-turn also helps with forcing switches because the opponent does have a 50/50 shot in predicting which set Meloetta is running and many situations players would assume specs so you can use that to your advantage.

Set Details:
- Just move choice scarf up to the sentence to where you mentioned its speed evs and timid nature since they should be lumped together in the same sentence.

Usage Tips:
* Bring it in on a special Pokemon that isn't super effective, like Zapdos, Blacephalon and Nidoking.
- Please rephrase it's a very similar sentence as the other usage tip for the specs set.
* Try to bring in it on Pokemon that are more passive like Toxapex.
- Mention more examples of other things it can threaten out.
- You should also add how bluffing a choice specs item with U-turn is also a great way in forcing switches.
* Do not bring it in on Choice Band Pokemon, or Pokemon with Huge Power like Azumarril, Diggersby, and Dragonite because with Meloetta's poor Defensive bulk it will get easily KOed.
- As said before, just say "physical wallbreakers" choice band and huge power. They all fit that category.
* Physical scarfers that outspeed such as Kyurem-B, Infernape, and Terrakion are threats that can easily KO Meloetta.
- Remove this, this is definitely a checks and counters sentence and Infernape and Terrakion 2HKOes Meloetta. Infernape can KO Meloetta if it's band. Even then scarf beats it.

Team Options:
* Porygon 2 can take Physical Attacks from Pokemon like Victini, and Mega Scizor. It also helps in the flying match up with Discharge and Ice Beam and in the Steel Match up with Hidden Power Fire. Discharge also has a chance to paralyze Toxapex, or Celesteela which can help greatly with stopping them from recovering additional HP with Leech Seed or Recover.
- Toxapex just loses to Meloetta anyway.

Checks and Counters:
- Pursuit and Knock Off don't need to be on there as separate sections. You can just mention them in the Dark-types section instead; however, I would make a notable mention to Alolan Muk, which is an absolute counter to Meloetta with its own section, especially Assault Vest variants.
- For specially defensive Pokemon, I think you should just put it as Chansey for a counter. Mantine dies to Thunderbolt if Meloetta is running the move and Cradily is 2HKOed by Focus Blast (83.5% at most) so it can't switch into it.
- Yes, revenge killers like Victini can KO Meloetta but how? What makes them a revenge killer? "Victini, especially Choice Scarf variants can outspeed Meloetta and KO it with its powerful V-Create."

**Bug-types**: Bug-types like Heracross and Scizor easily scare out Meloetta with their super-effective moves, also both of these Pokemon commonly run Pursuit that easily dents Meloetta.

**Revenge killers** Revenge killers like Heracross, and Victini can threaten Meloetta and KO it.

**Physical Wallbreakers**: Physical Wallbreakers like Victini and Azumarill can easily KO Meloetta from full HP due to its medicore defenses.

- You mentioned Heracross already in another part of the section, use a different example. Same thing goes for Victini. Choose which you want to put them under and use a different example for the other.

Some of these sentences need to be rephrasing, considering they're the exact same sentence as the next set. Please redo that part. Also tag me again so I can check this and I'll give it a stamp, nothing much for you to change!

Misaka Mikoto Really sorry for the wait, I had to take care of some things irl and had to do something about my depression. This is ready now, hope I didnt miss anything.

Overview:
* Meloetta's 90 base Speed tier is quite medicore to fufill its role as a revenge killer or wallbreaker as it gets outspeed from common Pokemon in the tier.
- List examples.
- You can remove "non-super effective hits" and just put attacks. It honestly sounds sort of weird.

Specs:

Team Options
* Mega Pidgeot and Meloetta together can help take care of Fighting Pokémon.
- Also viable for U-turn.

Moves:
* U-Turn makes this a Pivot and gives it momentum to switch out to a Pokemon that can take care of the opposing Pokemon, and can force the opponent to make switches.
- Reads a bit awkwardly but U-turn is gives Meloetta the momentum it needs against threats it forces out.

Usage Tips:
* Special Pokemon that isn't super effective, like Zapdos, Blacephalon and Nidoking are great Pokémon to bring Meloetta in on.
- Just say "it's best to bring in Meloetta against threats that it takes a hit well from and beat such as..."

**Bug-types**: Bug-types like Heracross and Scizor easily scare out Meloetta with their super-effective moves, also both of these Pokemon commonly run Pursuit that easily dents Meloetta.
- I mean Heracross does need to be weary of scarf Meloetta.

The team options sentences still look very similar to each other with the difference being different examples but:

Here you go!

* Meloetta has a great Special Attack stat, a massive movepool and a great offensive typing that can make it a dangerous special wallbreaker. This allows it to take care of passive walls such as Toxapex and Hippowdon.
* It also has a great Special Defense stat that allows it to take attacks from Pokémon like Clefable, Latios, and Zapdos.
* Also, Meloetta helps greatly with allowing balance Normal have an offensive presence with helping out its more passive members like Chansey and Porygon2 with threats like Toxapex and Mega Venusaur in the Poison matchup.
* Its Psychic-typing helps it greatly take care of Fighting threats such as Breloom, and Kommo-o. It also helps out in the Psychic matchup with resisting Psyshic moves and can hit the Pokemon back with Shadow Ball.
* Meloetta's 90 base Speed tier is quite medicore to fufill its role as a revenge killer or wallbreaker as it gets outspeed from common Pokemon in the tier like Landorus-T, Keldeo, and Terrakion.
* Also, while its Psychic-typing can help with some matchups, this leaves Meloetta vunable to moves like Knock Off and Pursuit from common Pokemon like Alolan Muk, and Bisharp.
* However, Meloetta has a mediocre Defense stat which limits what it can switch into. It also faces competition with Porygon-Z for being the
Special Attacker because of its z-conversion transforming it into a Ghost-type and being immune to Fighting-type moves.
Also, thanks to to z-conversion it gets all of its stats boosted and paired with Adaptability makes it a really dangerous wallbreaker.

Moves

* Hyper Voice is powerful Normal-STAB that is easily spammable if there is no Pokemon that resist for some massive damage. It also goes though Substitute. Talk about in what instance going through Substitute is useful (what Pokemon use it?).
* Psychic is another powerful Psychic-STAB that helps with breaking passive Pokemon like Toxapex. It also easily 2KOs any Pokemon that does not resist or is immune to Psychic like Torkoal, and Mega Swampert. Second half is unnecessary as Hyper Voice already does this. However, do mention it hitting Fighting-types as well.
* Shadow Ball helps greatly with Ghost- and Psychic-types and allows it to break Gengar without its passive members worrying about a Special Defense drop or a trick from Gengar.
* Focus Blast helps with the Steel matchup with Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Heatran.
Also hits Rock-types.

Set Details
========

* Timid is ran with max EVs in Speed to outspeed Pokemon like Nidoking, and Zapdos.
You can just combined with this the 252 SpA "252 Evs in Special Attack along with a Choice Specs is ran to turn Meloetta into a powerful wallbreaker."

Usage Tips
========
* Use this early game as its wallbreaking power can easily dent walls and threats to its teammates early game with one of its STAB moves.
* Meloetta has great special bulk, so switch-in on weak special attacks such as like Zapdos, Rotom-W and Nihilego.
Just be careful around Fire-types in the Sun and Electric Pokémon in Electric Terrain as Meloetta cannot handle these attacks well. Remove Nihilego, you'd always switch into Chansey on it. The second half is unnecessary as it's not specific to Meloetta (you'd say the same thing for most Pokemon).
* Passive walls that do not threaten Meloetta like Toxapex, Mega Venusaur and Hippowdon that Meloetta can easily switch into safely is an ideal way for Meloetta to come in and damage any Pokemon that comes in.
* Meloetta can also be brought in on a slow U-turn user such as Staraptor or from a fainted teammate without taking any damage.
This isn't worded well, you could instead say "Take advantage of a slow U-turn from Staraptor or following a teammate fainting to safely bring in Meloetta."
* Do not bring it in on Physical Wallbreakers such as Azumarril, Diggersby, and Sand Rush Excadrill because with Meloetta's poor defensive bulk it will get easily KOed.
* Meloetta should never stay in on potential choice scarf users
that threaten it such as Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, and Victini who can KO Meloetta before it can hit back.
* Meloetta should avoid being poisoned as it shortens its longevity.
* Be careful around Knock Off users such as Seismitoad, Azumarill, and Landorus-T as this greatly hurts Meloetta and forces to lose its item, Choice Specs which means it will lose its wallbreaking power.
* Talk about being wary of potential Pursuit Pokemon which can trap and remove Meloetta such as Alolan Muk and Mega Aerodactyl.

Team Options
========

* Chansey can sponge special attacks from threats like Latios, Tapu Koko, and Hydreigion that threaten Meloetta. It can also set up Stealth Rocks to break Focus Sashes, and limit how many times a Pokemon can brought in which allows Meloetta to secure KOs.
* Porygon2 can take physical attacks that Meloetta cannot like Victini, and Sharpedo. It can also help in the flying matchup with Discharge and Ice Beam and in the Steel Matchup with Hidden Power Fire. Discharge also has a chance to paralyze
the opponent, which can make up for Meloetta's mediocre Speed. Celesteela which can help greatly with stopping them from recovering additional HP with Leech Seed.
* Staraptor takes care of Hazards with Defog and can punish Physical Attackers with Rocky Helmet and get their Attack down with Intimidate which can easily help preserve Meloetta for later in the game while dealing with threats like Mega Lopunny, and Infernape. It can also get Meloetta safely into the field with its slow U-turn.
* Mega Lopunny can greatly help in the Dark matchup thanks to its Fighting typing it gains from Mega Evolving. Mega Lopunny can take care of Mega Sableye which is a big threat to Meloetta. It can also chip Pokemon with Fake out or Encore threats such as Suicune.
* Mega Pidgeot and Meloetta together can help take care of Fighting Pokémon as Mega Pidgeot can U-turn to get Meloetta in.

* Diggersby is a great Physical wallbreaker that can go together with Meloetta for a power wallbreaking duo that can take care of threats for Meloetta and can help break annoying walls such as Mantine with Return, Celesteela with Fire Punch and Toxapex with Earthquake.
* Porygon-Z can become a late game sweeper with Z-Conversation as this allows it to transform into a Ghost-type and be immune to Fighting-type attacks. Its Boltbeam coverage helps greatly with Flying- and Dragon types. I wouldn't pair Meloetta with Porygon-Z personally as you'd have to give up both Ditto and also Diggersby to do so.

* Shadow Ball helps greatly with Ghost- and Psychic-types and allows it to break Latios without its passive members worrying about being tricked.
Also outspeeds and hits Mega Gallade.
* Focus Blast helps with the Rock match up with Pokemon such as Tyranitar and Stakataka.
* U-turn is gives Meloetta the momentum it needs against threats it forces out.
I would reword this, you use it to keep up momentum to switch into a Pokemon that can deal with whatever the opponent switches in to take on Meloetta - aka you'd pivot into either MLop or Diggersby on a defensive switchin or can pivot into Chansey or Porygon2 against offensive Pokemon while providing some chip.
* Hyper Voice is Normal-STAB that can do neutral damage as a safe opening attack. It also goes though Substitute. Need to mention why going through Substitute is relevant, especially for Scarf and it's much weaker than Specs.

Set Details
========

* Timid is ran with max EVs, and Choice Scarf to outpace common scarfers such as Excadrill and Tapu Bulu.
* 252 EVs in Special Attack is ran to help maximize damage output from its moves.
* The ability Serene Grace can make a secondary effect drop happen more often with Psychic, Shadow Ball or Focus Blast.

Usage Tips
========

* It's best to bring in Meloetta against threats that it takes a hit well from and beat such as Zapdos, Blacephalon and Nidoking.
* Pokemon that are passive like Toxapex, Mega Venusaur, and Torkoal is another way to get Meloetta out safely.
* Meloetta can revenge kill Pokemon like Buzzwole, and Heracross due to outpacing these threats thanks to Choice Scarf and with how troubling it can be for its teammates.
* Bluffing a Choice Specs item with U-turn is also a great way in forcing switches.
Rephrase this, you take advantage of a bluff by utilizing u-turn to gain momentum on the opponent
* Do not bring it in on physical wallbreakers like Azumarril, Diggersby, and Dragonite because with Meloetta's poor Defensive bulk it will get easily KOed.
* Be wary of Knock Off users such as Mega Sableye, Azumarill, and Landorus-T as this greatly dents Meloetta and loses its item, Choice Scarf which means it will lose its extra speed and being outpaced by Scarf Tapu Bulu.
* Be careful around status moves such as Toxic or Thunder Wave from common Pokemon such as Zapdos, Chansey and Celesteela because Toxic puts it on a timer and Thunder Wave causes Meloetta to lose speed to outpace Pokemon such as Excadrill.

* talk about how it's much weaker than Choice Specs and is unable to get past common walls.

Team Options
========

* Chansey is a great special wall that can tank special attacks from Pokémon that threaten Meloetta like Greninja, and Alolan Raichu. It can also set up Stealth Rocks to break Focus Sashes, and limit how many times a Pokemon can brought in helping Meloetta get KOs. Also Chansey can soak up status as its ability Natural Cure removes status upon switching out.
* Porygon2 is a staple for balance normal with it being able to take on strong physical attacks from Pokemon that Meloetta cannot like Victini, and Mega Scizor. Furthermore, it helps with Flying-types that threaten Meleotta like Celesteela and Zapdos.
* Staraptor takes care of Hazards with Defog which can help prolong Meloetta. It can also punish physical attackers with Rocky Helmet and get their Attack down with Intimidate. It also gives momentum with its slow U-turn to go into a Pokemon that can take care of the Pokemon on the field safely. This is great for faster threats like Terrakion or Infernape and a way to get Meloetta in safely without getting heavily damaged.
* Mega Lopunny helps greatly in the Dark match up thanks to its Fighting typing it gains from mega evolving. It can also chip Pokemon with Fake out or Encore threats such as Suicune. It can also help with Mega Sableye which Meloetta appreciates.
* Mega Pidgeot and Meloetta together can help take care of Fighting Pokemon. Mega Pidgeot can also help in the Steel match up with Heat Wave and Hidden Power Ground.
* Diggersby is a powerful physical wallbreaker that can take care of threats to Meloetta like Azumarill with Quick Attack if rocks are up and after it Belly Drums. It help break annoying walls such as Zapdos with Return, Ferrothorn with Fire Punch and Stakataka with Earthquake. All which Meloetta can have trouble with.
* Porygon-Z can become a late game sweeper with Z-Conversation as this allows it to transform into a Ghost-type and be immune to Fighting-type attacks. Its Boltbeam coverage helps greatly with Flying- and Dragon types that threaten Meloetta like Dragonite, and Garchomp.
Same as above, I wouldn't use PZ with Melo
* Ditto allows a reverse sweep and pressures set up users that could threaten Meloetta like Mega Charizard X thanks to its Imposter ability and being able to outpace thanks to Choice Scarf. I'm not sure about keeping ditto with Scarf Melo as then your team completely lacks any wallbreaker at all.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Normal
--------
* Meloetta can run Leftovers with Substitute with a spread of 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe and become really dangerous after setting up a few Calm Minds to take down threats like Suicune. But this limits Meloetta to two moves to attack with which would be Psyshock and Thunderbolt, which can limit of what Pokemon it can kill.

*Z-Celebrate? No
* Psyshock can be used over Psychic to hit Pokemon like Chansey, but at the cost of running Psyshock means no drop in Special Defense and cannot take care of Buzzwole.
Only on the Specs set
* Dazzling Gleam is another option to deal with troubling Dark-types such as Mega Sableye and Hydreigon, but this means usually dropping an important move like Hyper Voice.
* Modest nature on the Choice Specs set can be used over a Timid nature, but doing this makes it lose the ability to outspeed Nidoking, and Mamoswine
without Sticky Web support.
*Trick can be ran, but at the cost of dropping
Shadow Ball, Focus Blast or one of its STABs one of its moves can cause it to lose out on hitting some Pokemon but in return can trick a passive Pokemon like Mantine, or a set up Pokemon like Bisharp.
* Thunderbolt on Specs

Checks and Counters
===================

Normal
--------

**Mega Sableye** Mega Sableye easily walls Meloetta if it is not running Dazzling Gleam as Mega Sableye can tank any of Meloetta's attacks and KO it with Knock Off.

**Alolan Muk** Alolan Muk is a big threat to Meloetta as Alolan Muk can soak up any of Meloetta's attacks and can threaten Meloetta with Knock Off or Pursuit.
These are both coverage by Dark-types and Special Defensive Pokemon. They're not particularly unique of the other c/c.

* Pursuit - I know Misaka told you to remove this, but it's applicable to beyond Dark-types. Talk about Mega Aero, Alolan Muk, Scizor

**Dark-types**: While Meloetta can have Focus Blast, due to its low accuracy it can easily miss and get KOed. Meloetta can easily get KOed by Knock Off, Pursuit or Sucker Punch STAB attacks from common Dark-type Pokemon like Bisharp, and Krookodile.

**Bug-types**: Bug-types like Heracross and Scizor easily scare out Meloetta with their super-effective moves, but Heracross has to be weary if Meloetta is Scard. Both of these Pokemon commonly run Pursuit that easily dents Meloetta.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Chansey can easily wall Meloetta cripple it with Toxic and recover any type of damage with its recovery moves.

**Revenge killers** Revenge killers like Victini can threaten Meloetta and KO it with V-Create.

**Physical Wallbreakers**: Physical Wallbreakers like Azumarill can easily KO Meloetta from full HP due to its medicore defenses.

This allows it to take care of passive walls such as Toxapex and Hippowdon. It also has a great Special Defense stat that allows it to take attacks from Pokémon like Clefable, Latios, and Zapdos. Also, Meloetta helps greatly with allowing balance Normal have an offensive presence doesn't balance normal always have an offensive presence just based on the build wouldn't a special attaker be a better way to word this most normal teams lack a dedicated special attacker with helping out its more passive members like Chansey and Porygon2 with threats like Toxapex and Mega Venusaur in the Poison matchup. Its Psychic-typing helps it greatly take care of Fighting threats such as Breloom, and Kommo-o. It also helps out in the Psychic matchup with resisting Psyshic moves and can hit the Pokemon back with Shadow Ball. the two above points could easily be merged so it doesn't seem like you're just stating moves section here something like it has powerful Psychic Stab along with great complentary coverage to cover other threats make it seem less like a moves section Meloetta's 90 base Speed tier is quite medicore to fufill its role as a revenge killer or wallbreaker as it gets outspeed from common Pokemon in the tier like Landorus-T, Keldeo, and Terrakion. Somewhere here you have to mention that majority of those Pokemon can outspeed Choice Scarf variants since Terrakion and lando-t are revenge killers that use Choice Scarf Also, while its Psychic-typing can help with some matchups, this leaves Meloetta vunable to moves like Knock Off and Pursuit from common Pokemon like Alolan Muk, and Bisharp. I would mention how it stacks a Knock Off weakness with p2 and Chansey which isn't good However, Meloetta has a mediocre Defense stat which limits what it can switch into Why is this important explain and what does it mean how does it hinder it since I could have figured that out by just looking at Melo's base 77 defense. It also faces competition with Porygon-Z for being the

Use this early game as its wallbreaking power can easily dent walls and threats to its teammates early game with one of its STAB moves. Meloetta has great special bulk, so switch-in on weak special attacks such as like Zapdos, and Rotom-W While this is true the big the thing is that most of the time using volt switch is much better or switching into digga using better examples that clicking Volt Switch isn't best option. Staraptor takes care of Hazards with Defog and can punish Physical Attackers with Rocky Helmet and get their Attack down with Intimidate which can easily help preserve Meloetta for later in the game while dealing with threats like Mega Lopunny, and Infernape. It can also get Meloetta safely into the field with its slow U-turn. This could easily be condensed since it is a handful of information and it is really hard to see what is important and what is fluff Mega Lopunny can greatly help in the Dark matchup thanks to its Fighting typing it gains from Mega Evolving. Mega Lopunny can take care of Mega Sableye which is a big threat to Meloetta. It can also chip Pokemon with Fake out or Encore threats such as Suicune. Mega Pidgeot and Meloetta together can help take care of Fighting Pokémon as Mega Pidgeot can U-turn to get Meloetta in. All the Mega Lop points can easily be merged it just seems like it's a mini mega lop analysis not why it is a good teammate consider what it does for Melo what does it do well. Shadow Ball helps greatly with Ghost- and Psychic-types and allows it to break Latios and hit Mega gallade without its passive members worrying about being tricked this is all jumbled up there's 0 ghost-type example it just seems you didn't reread and implement the last qc check properly . Focus Blast helps with the Rock match up with Pokemon such as Tyranitar and Stakataka. U-turn is gives Meloetta the momentum to switch into a Pokemon that can deal with the Pokémon the opponent switches in to take on Meloetta while chipping the opposing Pokemon What I don't really understand please be a bit more specific why is U-turn good on Meloetta . Hyper Voice is Normal-STAB that can do neutral damage as a safe opening attack. It also goes though Substitute that Pokemon like Tapu Bulu, Sharpedo, and Zapdos commonly use.

Chansey is a great special wall that can tank special attacks from Pokémon that threaten Meloetta like Greninja, and Alolan Raichu. It can also set up Stealth Rocks to break Focus Sashes, and limit how many times a Pokemon can brought in helping Meloetta get KOs This part is exactly the same as specs set, Choice Scarf Melo needs rocks for different reasons maybe to make up for its lack of power. Also Chansey can soak up status as its ability Natural Cure removes status upon switching out. Porygon2 is a staple for balance normal with it being able to take on strong physical attacks from Pokemon that Meloetta cannot like Victini, and Mega Scizor. Furthermore, it helps with Flying-types that threaten Meleotta like Celesteela and Zapdos How does it help this is vague while other team section was too specific. Staraptor takes care of Hazards with Defog which can help prolong Meloetta. It can also punish physical attackers with Rocky Helmet Starraptor doesn't always run Rocky Helm though it can run leftovers as seen by Smogon set this is exact same as other section and get their Attack down with Intimidate. It also gives momentum with its slow U-turn to go into a Pokemon that can take care of the Pokemon on the field safely. This is great for faster threats like Terrakion or Infernape and a way to get Meloetta in safely without getting heavily damaged. Mega Lopunny helps greatly in the Dark match up thanks to its Fighting typing it gains from mega evolving. It can also chip Pokemon with Fake out or Encore threats such as Suicune. This is exact same form other section and same thing applies here it's more than just cuneit's as if you're making mini analysis for it's teammates It can also help with Mega Sableye which Meloetta appreciates. Mega Pidgeot and Meloetta together can help take care of Fighting Pokemon. Mega Pidgeot can also help in the Steel match up with Heat Wave and Hidden Power Ground. These 2 points can easily be merged since Mega Bird isn't even the most important teammate why have info for a Pokemon that is not as important as Chansey or P2 in 2 sentences Diggersby is a powerful physical wallbreaker that can take care of threats to Meloetta like Azumarill with Quick Attack if rocks are up and after it Belly Drums I don't reallt get what you're trying to say here. It help break annoying walls such as Zapdos with Return, Ferrothorn with Fire Punch and Stakataka with Earthquake. All which Meloetta can have trouble with. not neccesairly since it has Focus Blast please come up with better examples that highlight digga's usefulness instead of just looking at what Psychic doesn't handle

Psyshock can be used over Psychic on the Choice Specs set to hit Pokemon like Chansey, but at the cost of running Psyshock means no drop in Special Defense and cannot take care of Buzzwole. Dazzling Gleam is another option to deal with troubling Dark-types such as Mega Sableye and Hydreigon, but this means usually dropping an important move like Hyper Voice. Modest nature on the Choice Specs set can be used over a Timid nature, but doing this makes it lose the ability to outspeed Nidoking, and Mamoswine. Trick can be ran, but at the cost of dropping one of its moves can cause it to lose out on hitting some Pokemon but in return can trick a passive Pokemon like Mantine, or a set up Pokemon like Bisharp. Thunderbolt can be used on the Choice Specs set to hit Pokémon like Mantine, and Celesteela, but at the cost of dropping a move that Meloetta needs like Focus Blast.

Checks and Counters

**Pursuit**: Meloetta can easily be pursuit trapped by Pokemon like Mega Aerodytal, Alolan Muk, and Scizor leaving Meloetta heavily damaged or KOed.

**Dark-types**: While Meloetta can have Focus Blast, due to its low accuracy it can easily miss and get KOed. Meloetta can easily get KOed by Knock Off, Pursuit or Sucker Punch STAB attacks from common Dark-type Pokemon like Bisharp, Alolan Muk and Krookodile. It also has trouble with Mega Sableye as it can easily eat any of Meloetta's attacks.

Can you give naother example besdies Chansey since you're not just talking about Chansey

**Revenge killers** Revenge killers like Victini can threaten Meloetta and KO it with V-Create. can you give more examples since 1 isn't quite enough to show why revenge killers check Melo

**Physical Wallbreakers**: Physical Wallbreakers like Azumarill can easily KO Meloetta from full HP due to its medicore defenses. Same as above it just seems very lazy

[OVERVIEW]
Normal

Meloetta has a great Special Attack stat, a massive movepool and a great offensive typing that can make it a dangerous special wallbreaker. This allows it to take care of passive walls such as Toxapex and Hippowdon and with its great Special Defense, it allows it to take attacks from Pokemon like Clefable, Latios, and Zapdos. Meloetta helps greatly with allowing balance Normal to have a Special Attacker and help its more passive members like Chansey and Porygon2 with threats like Toxapex and Mega Venusaur in the Poison matchup and with its Psychic-STAB Meloetta can take care of threats like Gengar and Latios This section doesn't make sense right here latios isn't a poison type. However, Meloetta's 90 base Speed tier is quite mediocre to fulfill its role as a revenge killer or wallbreaker as it gets outspeed from common Pokemon in the tier like Landorus-T, Keldeo, and Terrakion even when running Choice Scarf. While its Psychic-typing can help with some matchups, this leaves Meloetta weak to moves like Knock Off and Pursuit from common Pokemon like Alolan Muk, and Bisharp, switch the order of Alolan Muk and Bisharp and running Meloetta makes the Normal team much weaker to Knock Off. Furthermore, Meloetta has mediocre Defense stat which limits what it can switch into because it gets easily KOed by the likes of Victini, and Excadrill. It also faces competition with Porygon-Z for being the special attacker because of its Z-conversion transforming it into a Ghost-type and being immune to Fighting-type moves.

Hyper Voice is powerful Normal-STAB that can be easily used if there is no Pokemon that resist for some massive damage and it also goes through Substitute is useful for Pokemon like Suicune, Sharpedo, and Zapdos. Psychic is another powerful Psychic-STAB that helps with breaking passive Pokemon like Toxapex and Mega Venusaur and helps with Fighting-types like Terrakion, and Infernape. Shadow Ball helps greatly with Ghost- and Psychic-types this allows it to break Gengar or Latias without its passive members worrying about a Special Defense drop or a trick from Gengar or Latias. Focus Blast helps with the Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Tyranitar.

Set Details

Timid is ran with max EVs in Speed to outspeed Pokemon like Nidoking, and Zapdos. 252 EVs in Special Attack along with a Choice Specs is run to turn Meloetta into a powerful wallbreaker. The ability Serene Grace can make secondary effects happen more often with Psychic, Shadow Ball or Focus Blast.

Usage Tips
========

Use this what is "this" referring to it is very confusing as the reader early game as its wallbreaking power can easily dent walls and threats to its teammates early game with one of its STAB moves. Meloetta has great special defense bulk, so switch it in on weak special attacks such as Torkoal , and Empoleon, passive walls that do not threaten Meloetta like Toxapex, Mega Venusaur, and Hippowdon that Meloetta can easily switch into safely This section just doesn't make any sense it is very confusing and wasn't read over. Take advantage of a slow U-turn from Staraptor or following a teammate fainting to safely bring in Meloetta. Do not bring it in on Physical Wallbreakers such as Azumarill, Diggersby, and Sand Rush Excadrill because with Meloetta's poor defensive bulk it will get easily KOed. Meloetta should never stay in on potential choice scarf users that can threaten it such as Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, and Victini who can KO Meloetta before it can hit back. Be careful around Knock Off users such as Seismitoad, Azumarill, and Landorus-T as this greatly hurts Meloetta and forces to lose its item, Choice Specs which means it will lose its wallbreaking power Why is Seis even mentioned when it's not even a metagame defining Pokemon like Lando-T or Azu chose something different. Be wary of potential Pursuit Pokemon that can trap and remove Meloetta such as Alolan Muk, Scizor, and Mega Aerodactyl. Be careful what move Meloetta uses as locking into the wrong move can easily get it Pursuit trapped or set up on. Please give more context instead of vague idea since it may be hard to understand this without any example

Chansey can sponge special attacks from threats like Latios, Tapu Koko, and Hydreigon that threaten Meloetta, It can also set up Stealth Rocks to break Focus Sashes, and limit how many times a Pokemon can be brought in which allows Meloetta to secure KOs such as?. Porygon2 can take physical attacks that Meloetta cannot like Victini and Sharpedo. Staraptor takes care of Hazards for Meloetta with Defog, get their Attack down with Intimidate which can easily help preserve Meloetta for later in the game while dealing with threats like Mega Lopunny, and Infernape and also help get Meloetta safely into the field with its slow U-turn. The set is a wallbreaker not a revenge killer please fix the team options to reflect that since you're implying that Melo will love to take Close Combat from Infernape Mega Lopunny can greatly help in the Dark-types and take care of threats like Mega Sableye, and Bisharp. Mega Pidgeot and Meloetta together can help take care of Fighting Pokémon as Mega Pidgeot can U-turn to get Meloetta in Key in on fighting types Mega Pidgeot outspeeds and can revenge kill the set is a wallbreaker not a revenge killer. Diggersby is a great Physical wallbreaker that can go together with Meloetta for a power wallbreaking duo that can take care of threats for Meloetta such as Mantine with Return and Celesteela with Fire Punch. Ditto allows a reverse sweep and pressures set up users and being able to outpace thanks to Choice Scarf. Ditto can help against common set up users like Mega Charizard X and Bisharp. Psychic is powerful Psychic-STAB does help with Poison-type Pokemon once Alolan Muk is gone, and it can revenge kill Pokemon such as Scarf Heracross and Choice Specs Keldeo. Shadow Ball helps greatly with Ghost- and Psychic-types and allows it to break Latios and Blacephalon switch it so blace is first and latios is 2nd without its passive members worrying about being tricked isn't this better suited for usage tips, it can also help with hitting Mega Gallade thanks to Choice Scarf allowing Meloetta to outpace it couldn't this be condensed there's too much unnecessary information. Focus Blast helps with the Rock match up with Pokemon such as Tyranitar and Stakataka It doesn't just help with Rock matchup consider the following It revenge scarf drill focus on what it does make it seem different from other set. U-turn is run to gain momentum since Meloetta force switches Pokemon to come out like Bisharp, Mega Siczor, and Alolan Muk. Hyper Voice is Normal-STAB that can do neutral damage as a safe opening attack and goes through Substitute that Pokemon like Tapu Bulu, Sharpedo, and Zapdos commonly use. Sub bulu isn't a meta set please chose something different or only use 2 examples

Timid is ran with max EVs, and Choice Scarf to outpace common scarfers such as Excadrill and Tapu Bulu. 252 EVs in Special Attack is run to help maximize damage output from its moves. The ability Serene Grace can make a secondary effect drop happen more often with Psychic, Shadow Ball or Focus Blast.

Usage Tips
========

It's best to bring in Meloetta against threats that it takes a hit well from and beat such as Zapdos, Blacephalon and Nidoking, and Pokemon that are passive like Toxapex, Mega Venusaur, and Torkoal. Wouldn't passive Pokemon also be something it could take a hit from Meloetta can revenge kill Pokemon like Buzzwole, and Heracross due to outpacing these threats thanks to Choice Scarf and with how troubling it can be for its teammates Isn't this more of a set detail or general team option thing why put it in usage tips?. Bluffing a Choice Specs set with U-turn can be utilized to gain momentum on the opponent. Do not bring it in on physical wallbreakers like Azumarill, Diggersby, and Dragonite because with Meloetta's poor Defensive bulk it will get easily KOed. Be wary of Knock Off users such as Mega Sableye, Azumarill, and Landorus-T as this greatly hurts Meloetta and loses its item, Choice Scarf which means it will lose its extra speed and being outpaced by Scarf Tapu Bulu. Be careful around status moves such as Toxic or Thunder Wave from common Pokemon such as Zapdos, Chansey, and Celesteela because Toxic puts it on a timer and Thunder Wave causes Meloetta to lose speed to outpace Pokemon such as Excadrill. Meloetta is much weaker without Choice Specs as it cannot break common walls like Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Slowbro which will give it away to the opponent that Meloetta is not Choice Specs due to its power output Why is this important explain this is vague and is very wordy. Be careful with locking into the wrong move as this can lead Meloetta in a dangerous situation to get pursuit trapped, or be set up on the likes of Mega Charizard X, and Bisharp Again please switch the order of your examples to match the order of what they are. Another way to get Meloetta in safely in on a predicted switch and it can lead to gaining momentum with U-turn.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that threaten Meloetta like Alolan Raichu and Greninja can have its attacks soaked up by Chansey and provide Meloetta with Stealth Rock to get KOs due to Meloetta's lack of power. Porygon2 is a staple for balance normal with it being able to take on strong physical attacks from Pokemon that Meloetta cannot like Victini, and Mega Scizor. Staraptor takes care of Hazards with Defog which can help prolong Meloetta. It can also punish physical attackers with Rocky Helmet and get their Attack down with Intimidate and Staraptor can provide Meloetta momentum with its slow U-turn to get it on the field safely to deal with faster threats like Terrakion or Infernape. the staraptor section is legit the same as Specs set. Meloetta struggles with Dark-type Pokémon so Mega Lopunny helps greatly with Dark-and Steel-type Pokémon that Meloetta has trouble with like Alolan Muk, Bisharp, and Ferrothorn. Mega Pidgeot and Meloetta together can help take care of Fighting Pokemon and can also help in the Steel match up with Heat Wave and Hidden Power Ground with Pokemon that Meloetta struggles with like Celesteela, and Heatran. Diggersby is a powerful physical wallbreaker that can take care of threats to Meloetta like Zapdos with Return, Mega Scizor with Fire Punch and Empoleon with Earthquake.

Usage Tips

Use Meloetta in the early-(AH)game,(AC) as its wallbreaking power can easily dent walls and threats to its teammates with one of its STAB moves. Meloetta has great Special Defense bulk, so switch it in on special attacks that are not super effective such as Rotom-W, and Clefable. rotom-w and clefable are not special attacks. if u want to use an example here, change it to Rotom-W's Pump or something similar Meloetta can also switch in safely on passive walls that do not threaten it like Toxapex, Mega Venusaur, and Hippowdon. Take advantage of a slow U-turn from Staraptor or following a teammate fainting to safely bring in Meloetta. Do not bring it in on physical wallbreakers Physical Wallbreakers such as Azumarill, Diggersby, and Sand Rush Excadrill because with Meloetta's poor defensive bulk,(AC) it will get easily KOed. Meloetta should never stay in on potential Choice Scarf choice scarf users that can threaten it such as Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, and Victini,(AC) as they who can KO Meloetta before it can hit back. Be careful around Knock Off users such as Bisharp, Azumarill, and Landorus-T,(AC) as losing its item this greatly hurts Meloetta's and forces to lose its item, Choice Specs which means it will lose its wallbreaking power. Be wary of potential Pursuit users Pokemon that can trap and remove Meloetta such as Alolan Muk, Scizor, and Mega Aerodactyl. Also, be careful what move Meloetta uses,(AC) as locking into the wrong move makes it vulnerable to being can easily get it Pursuit trapped or set up on.(AP) This which can lead to the opponent sacking a Pokemon to get a Pursuit user like Tyranitar,(RC) or Alolan Muk in when Meloetta is locked into Psychic or a setup sweeper like Bisharp or Mega Scizor in when Meloetta is locked into a move that the opponent's Pokemon resists like Bisharp,(RC) or Mega Scizor can take advantage of this and get a free Swords Dance.

Chansey can sponge special attacks from threats like Tapu Koko,(RC) and Hydreigon that threaten Meloetta.(AP),(RC) Chansey can also set up Stealth Rock Rocks to break Focus Sash Sashes,(RC) and limit how many times a Pokemon can be brought in,(AC) which allows Meloetta to secure KOs on Thundurus-T,(RC) and Landorus. Porygon2 can take physical attacks that Meloetta cannot like Victini and Sharpedo again, these two mons are not physical attacks - either remove, clarify an attack victini/sharpedo use, or change to something like "...can take physical attacks from Pokemon like Victini and Sharpedo that Meloetta cannot". Staraptor takes care of entry hazards Hazards for Meloetta with Defog, get their Attack down with has Intimidate,(AC) and helps with threats like Mega Lopunny and Infernape. This can easily help preserve Meloetta for later in the game. Staraptor can also help get Meloetta safely into the field with its slow U-turn. Mega Lopunny can greatly help in the Dark-type matchup Dark-types and take care of threats like Mega Sableye,(RC) and Bisharp. Mega Pidgeot and Meloetta together can help take care of Fighting Pokemon Pokémon. Mega Pidgeot can use U-turn to get Meloetta in safely if used on a predicted switch. Diggersby is a great Physical physcial wallbreaker [that can go together with Meloetta for a power wallbreaking duo that can take care of threats for Meloetta such as Mantine with Return and Celesteela with Fire Punch] bracketed portion is confusing because you set it up to make it seem like you're going to talk about them as a duo instead of exclusively diggersby - I think the best fix is to remove "that can go...wallbreaking duo...". Ditto allows for a reverse sweep and pressures set(remove space)up users and is being able to outpace who is ditto outpacing here thanks to Choice Scarf. As a result, Ditto can help against common set(remove space)up users like Mega Charizard X and Bisharp that can otherwise sweep the team. Thunderbolt can be used on the Choice Specs set to hit Pokemon Pokémon like Mantine,(RC) and Celesteela, but at the cost of dropping a move that Meloetta needs like Focus Blast.

**Pursuit**: Meloetta can easily be pursuit trapped by Pokemon like Mega Aerodactyl Aerodytal, Alolan Muk, and Scizor,(AC) leaving Meloetta heavily damaged or KOed.

**Dark-types**: While Meloetta does have access to Focus Blast, due to its low accuracy it can easily miss and get Meloetta KOed I would consider rewriting this to mention dark-types in this sentence, since this segment is about them - maybe like "Focus Blast is too unreliable to effectively deal with the Dark-types that counter Meloetta". Meloetta can easily get KOed by STAB Knock Off, Pursuit or Sucker Punch STAB attacks from common Dark-type Pokemon like Bisharp, Alolan Muk, and Krookodile. It also has trouble with Mega Sableye,(AC) as it can easily eat i get the meaning but it might be better to a less figurative word here. ur call any of Meloetta's attacks.

**Bug-types**: Bug-types like Heracross and Scizor easily scare out Meloetta with their super-(RH, add space)effective moves, but Heracross has to be wary if Meloetta is using a Choice Scarf. Both of these Pokemon commonly run Pursuit that easily heavily dents Meloetta.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Chansey and Mantine can easily wall Meloetta,(AC) cripple it with Toxic,(AC) and recover any type of damage they receive with their its recovery moves.

**Revenge Killers**: Revenge killers like Victini, Kyurem-B, and Tapu Bulu can threaten Meloetta and KO it due to their powerful attacks.

**Physical Wallbreakers**: Physical wallbreakers Wallbreakers like Azumarill, Excadrill, and Dragonite can easily KO Meloetta from full HP due to its mediocre defenses.

A Timid nature is ran run with maximum EVs in Speed to outspeed Pokemon like Nidoking and Zapdos. 252 EVs in Special Attack along with a Choice Specs is run to turn Meloetta into a powerful wallbreaker. The ability Serene Grace can make secondary effects happen more often with Psychic, Shadow Ball, (AC) or Focus Blast.

Usage Tips
========

Use Meloetta in the early-game, as its wallbreaking power can let its STAB moves easily dent walls and threats to its teammates with one of its STAB moves. Meloetta has great Special Defense, so switch it in on neutral or resisted special attacks that are not super effective such as Rotom-W’s Hydro Pump, and Clefable's Moonblast. Meloetta can also switch in safely on passive walls that do not threaten it like Toxapex, Mega Venusaur, and Hippowdon. Take advantage of a slow U-turn from Staraptor or following a teammate fainting to safely bring in Meloetta. Do not bring it in on physical wallbreakers such as Azumarill, Diggersby, and Sand Rush Excadrill, (AC) because with Meloetta's poor defensive bulk, it will get easily KOed. Similarly, Meloetta should never stay in on potential Choice Scarf users that can threaten it such as Landorus-T, Tapu Bulu, and Victini, as they can KO Meloetta it before it can hit back. Also, be careful what move Meloetta uses, as locking into the wrong move makes it vulnerable to being Pursuit trapped by the likes of Tyranitar and Alolan Muk or set up on by Pokemon like Bisharp and Mega Scizor.This can lead to the opponent sacking a Pokemon to get a Pursuit user like Tyranitar or Alolan Muk in when Meloetta is locked into Psychic or a setup sweeper like Bisharp or Mega Scizor in when Meloetta is locked into a move that the opponent's Pokemon resists.
