[OVERVIEW]

Miltank differentiates itself from other Stealth Rock setters thanks to its access to reliable recovery in Milk Drink and resistances to Fire- and Ice-type moves with Thick Fat. Unfortunately, Miltank is extremely passive, as it relies on Toxic and Seismic Toss to deal any sort of meaningful damage. It also still ultimately loses to Pokemon it's supposed to beat such as Incineroar, Delphox, offensive Rotom, and Magmortar despite its resistances and immunities. Miltank also struggles to do anything to Xatu or teams with it. Despite lacking recovery, other Stealth Rock setters such as Steelix, Rhydon, and Druddigon arguably all offer more defensive utility and are much less passive than Miltank; Rhydon has Swords Dance, Steelix has Curse, and Druddigon has raw power.

[SET]
name: Stealth Rock
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Seismic Toss
move 3: Milk Drink
move 4: Toxic
item: Leftovers
ability: Thick Fat
nature: Calm
evs: 252 HP / 236 SpD / 20 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Miltank can attempt to set up Stealth Rock early in the game and try to beat Pokemon such as defensive Rotom and Mismagius lacking Taunt. It can keep acting as a specially defensive Pokemon thanks to Milk Drink. However, Miltank is still unreliable as a Stealth Rock user because of its general passivity and lack of moves to beat Xatu. Other Stealth Rock setters such as Rhydon, Steelix, and Druddigon are far less passive than Miltank and can all beat Xatu.

Miltank differentiates itself from other Stealth Rock setters thanks to its access to reliable recovery in Milk Drink and its resistances to Fire- and Ice-type moves with Thick Fat. Unfortunately, Miltank is extremely passive as it relies on Toxic and Seismic Toss to deal any sort of meaningful damage. Even though it has three resistances, it still ultimately loses to Pokémon it's supposed to beat such as Incineroar, Substitute Toxic Delphox Calm Mind Delphox blasts Miltank too, offensive Rotom, and Taunt Mismagius. remove Mismagius mention, it's a bad Pokemon too lol; you can add Magmortar here Xatu also puts a hard stop to Miltank doing anything, as Seismic Toss will deal residual damage thanks to Xatu's Rocky Helmet. prob can reword this slightly to say how Miltank just straight up loses to Xatu and thus struggles incredibly against teams with Xatu Miltank does have other interesting support moves like Heal Bell to beat Toxic, but needs Stealth Rock to prevent itself from being outclassed by Vaporeon or Mega Audino. eh can remove this bullet; since it's a mini I don't think there's too much reason to stray away from what the sample set has on it Despite lacking recovery, other Stealth Rock setters such as Steelix, Rhydon, and Druddigon arguably all offer more defensive utility and are far more reliable. less passive too; Rhydon has Swords Dance, Steelix has Curse, and Druddigon has that offensive Dragonium Z set

However, Miltank is still unreliable as a Stealth Rock user because of its general passivity and lack of moves to beat Xatu. something about why other Stealth Rock setters outclass it
