While Mimikyu may not look like much on paper, Mimikyu has the movepool, typing, and ability to distinguish itself from other sweepers. Disguise almost guarantees Mimikyu an opportunity to set up a Swords Dance, and with its access to priority in the form of Shadow Sneak, Mimikyu can clean up weakened teams with the right support. Swords Dance boosts Mimikyu's attack to respectable levels, allowing Mimikyu to both sweep, and wall break for another teammate. Play Rough is Mimikyu's strongest STAB, and allows Mimikyu to threaten Urshifu, Hydreigon, and Crawdaunt (assuming Disguise is still intact). Shadow Claw is a secondary form of STAB, and allows Mimikyu to hit Pokemon such as Aegislash and Jirachi. Shadow Sneak is a form of priority, and helps Mimikyu to act as a check to faster Pokemon such as Dragapult and Alakazam, and can also clean up teams with a Swords Dance boost. Due to Mimikyu's rather average Attack stat, Life Orb is the best item for this set, giving Mimikyu the best chance of sweeping.

Due to it's ability, and access to priority, Mimikyu finds its home on Hyper Offense teams looking to overwhelm the opponent. Support in the form of Dual Screens and entry hazards are your best bet for helping Mimikyu achieve a sweep, so Grimmsnarl is a good partner as it is capable of setting up both Screens rather consistently. Mew is a great partner, as it can set up both Stealth Rocks and Spikes, while also preventing entry hazards on Mimikyu's side of the field. While Mimikyu can block Rapid Spin, Defoggers can be troublesome for these sorts of teams. Because of this, Bisharp can be a very good teammate, who benefits from opposing Defoggers thanks to Defiant. Bisharp has decent synergy with Mimikyu as well, as Mimikyu is immune to Fighting-type attacks, while Bisharp is immune to Poison-type attacks. Mimikyu often struggles with bulky Steel-types such as Corviknight, Skarmory, and Ferrothorn, so a Fire-type like Volcarona can be a good teammate. Lastly, other set up sweepers such as Azumarill, Dragapult, Cloyster, and Scizor also make for good team mates, as they share similar checks, and can often wall break for one another, enabling another member to sweep.

Not QC, but I think you should mention that Mimikyu really struggles against Steel-types (mainly Skarmory, Corviknight, Ferrothorn) and highlight a few partners that can deal with them (Volcarona and Rotom-H come to mind).
