Never ever use Pokémon like Whismur, Zigzagoon, Ralts or Roselia, Starters and Fossils please, they are used for other large, for example Youtube-Giveaways, or are more rare .
And try to avoid using Pokemon Lv 1 since they get sniped more often due to the fact that people hope they have good IVs.

Oh, I see. Hmm I really don't know, I will test it out to see what happens. But if they're nicknamed, I believe they: a) will retain the nickname no matter what or b) It will update their name accordingly to the game they were evolved on. For example my cart is in english so once charmander evolves it will be named charmeleon just as usual, because it has its original name but in german so it just changes to its original name but in english. Hope I made sense.
