[OVERVIEW]
Mollux is a niche pick for rain teams that can provide utility by spreading status, being a secondary rain setter, and walling or threatening common rain answers such as Jumbao, Tomohawk, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela. Mollux's typing grants it an immunity to both poison and burn along with many resistances, which, in addition to its good special bulk, access to Recover, Water-type immunity, and passive healing in rain, enables it to stay healthy during a match while also answering the threats it needs to. While it may possess many resistances, its weakness to many common offensive types means it is unable to check many of the metagame's top offensive threats such as Landorus-T, Crucibelle, and Mega Alakazam. Finally, its susceptibility to Spikes and Stealth Rock severely limits its opportunities to switch in and hampers its ability to check some threats it otherwise would be able to such as Ash-Greninja.

[SET]
name: Specially Defensive

move 2: Lava Plume / Thunder
move 3: Rain Dance / Rapid Spin
move 4: Recover
item: Black Sludge
ability: Dry Skin
nature: Calm
evs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
Sludge Bomb allows Mollux to OHKO Jumbao, which can be difficult for rain teams to deal with otherwise. Lava Plume has a chance to OHKO Ferrothorn outside of rain and can also be used to spread burns, though it is severely weakened when rain is up. Thunder lets Mollux do damage to Heatran in addition to hitting Toxapex and Tomohawk for more damage than its STAB moves and also helps it beat Celesteela while rain is up. Rain Dance allows Mollux to be an effective secondary rain setter. Rapid Spin can be used to remove entry hazards, but Mollux is not an ideal hazard remover, as it has poor matchups against many common Stealth Rock setters.

Usage Tips
========
Mollux should be brought in on resisted hits against Pokemon that it either walls or checks like Jumbao and Ferrothorn and then take advantage of the switches it causes. It can put pressure on its switch-ins like Mega Crucibelle, Heatran, and Landorus-T by threatening to spread status or deal significant chip damage. Mollux can also use this turn to set up rain against Pokemon that Pelipper and Tomohawk can't set up against repeatedly or at all such as Magearna, Tapu Koko, and Zapdos. Stealth Rock makes Mollux unable to switch in repeatedly, so it should be kept off the field or else Mollux will fail to check what it needs to. Some Pokemon that would otherwise be walled by Mollux, such as Jumbao, often run Ground-type coverage, so they should be scouted for by teammates or by double switching out to another Pokemon that can take that move.

Team Options
========
Mollux fits best on rain teams, (AC) where it can patch up some weaknesses and benefit from the passive healing while also providing a valuable Water-type immunity. Along with being the best rain setter in the tier, Pelipper is a great teammate for Mollux, as it also provides a Ground-type immunity and can remove entry hazards with Defog. Mega Swampert is a must-have (AH) on a rain team and partners well with Mollux, appreciating its 4x Grass-type resistance, ability to soak up Scald, and ability to set up rain. Mega Swampert is also able to switch into Rock-types that threaten Mollux, most notably Mega Crucibelle, though it has to be careful of the occasional Wood Hammer. Tomohawk appreciates Mollux's ability to check Fairy-types and can provide utility to rain teams by being a secondary setter or, if Mollux is the secondary rain setter of the team, using the freed-up moveslot to run another move like Rapid Spin or Focus Blast. Because it is the best Defogger in the tier and works well on rain teams, Tornadus-T is a great Pokemon to have on a team with Mollux. As another common pick for rain teams, Ash-Greninja appreciates Mollux's ability to check Jumbao, Toxapex, Ferrothorn, and non-Earthquake Arghonaut. Similarly, Volkraken pairs well with Mollux due to its ability to check the aforementioned Toxapex and Arghonaut. Ferrothorn has good defensive synergy with Mollux, being able to check many Pokemon that threaten it, such as Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle. Tapu Koko is a great addition to a rain team that Mollux can support by dealing with some of the bulky Grass-types Tapu Koko struggles against, like Jumbao, clearing the way for it to spam its Electric Terrain-boosted Thunder.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Mollux can run Stealth Rock or Toxic Spikes, but it does not pressure entry hazard removers well. Heal Bell is another option that can be run over Rain Dance or Rapid Spin, but it is useful in far fewer circumstances.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Pajantom**: Pajantom is specially bulky, resists Mollux's most common attacks, is immune to status, often carries Earthquake, and can trap and wear down Mollux with its specially defensive set.

**Heatran**: Heatran is immune to both of Mollux's STAB attacks and threatens it with Earth Power, though it can't switch into Thunder too many times and doesn't appreciate being paralyzed.

**Ground-type Pokemon and Coverage**: Ground-types like Colossoil, Landorus-T, and Garchomp can OHKO Mollux, though they risk being burned switching in. Many Pokemon such as Arghonaut, Syclant, Krilowatt, and Mega Pinsir also carry Ground type coverage.

**Psychic-types*: While it is able to just barely survive most special Psychic-type attacks, Mollux is very threatened by Psychic-types such as Tapu Lele, Mega Alakazam, Mega Medicham, Hoopa-U, and Reuniclus and Psychic-type coverage from Pokemon such as Extrasensory Greninja and Psychic Volcarona.

**Strong Physical Attackers**: Because it is a special wall, Mollux isn't able to take many unresisted physical attacks. Crucibelle in particular forces out Mollux and can pivot with U-turn, healing with Regenerator and providing momentum for its team. Other physical attackers like Necturna, Hawlucha, and Caribolt possess strong neutral attacks that threaten Mollux. However, most of these Pokemon need to careful of being statused or damaged upon switching in.

- Bulky and immune to both Poison and Burn Why is this good? Please expand more upon this.
- Excels in Rain due to Dry Skin and its ability to wall or threaten many of the common rain checks Such as?
- Capable at functioning outside of rain by compressing certain roles due to its utility moves and bulk What roles? Stealth Rock setter seems like an important one to mention.
- Weakness to the very common earthquake Not everything uses Earthquake, change to Ground-type moves and its poor matchup against many of the top offensive threats in the metagame Such as? make it difficult to fit on a team
-SR weakness is bad for a tank

[SET]
name: Specially Defensive

move 2: Sludge Bomb
move 3: Recover
move 4: Stealth Rock / Rapid Spin / Rain Dance
item: Black Sludge
ability: Dry Skin

evs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

- Lava Plume can pressure the Steel, Grass, And Bug types examples for these would be great Mollux can switch into and threatens to burn anything switching in, such as Zygarde or other physical attackers, but it suffers from reduced damage in the rain Is also good to note its STAB
- Thunder is an alternative to Lava Plume that doesn't lose power in the rain and allows Mollux to spread Paralysis and do more damage to Pokemon such as Toxapex, Heatran, and Tomohawk Toxapex is still pointless cause its only a 3HKO, meaning it can stall you out.
- Sludge Bomb is able to spread poison and can pressure Grass and Fairy types, notably Jumbao need more than Jumbao. Also STAB

- Recover allows Mollux to heal off damage from hazards as well as keep it healthy so that it can keep switching in on the Pokemon it walls like?
- Because Mollux often forces switches, it can take advantage of this by providing various types of utility such as Stealth Rock, Rapid Spin, or even Heal Bell Actually talk about these seperately, since you will be using them each for different reasons. Don't talk about Heal Bell though, since it is not on the main moveset.
- Rain Dance allows Mollux to be a very effective secondary rain setter while also giving itself recovery and boosting the accuracy of its Thunder once rain runs out This last part is confusing. Thunder's accuracy doesn't increase once rain runs out. Idek what you are saying here.

Set Details
========

- Maximum special bulk and a Calm nature allows Mollux to survive almost any special attack from full health, including super effective attacks, and take little damage from resisted hits
- Black Sludge gives passive recovery and discourages trick users from taking its item
- Dry skin gives Mollux even more passive recovery which allows it to shrug off almost any resisted attack and makes it immune to water attacks

Entire section is technically against policy, so say that this area is self explanatory.

Usage Tips
========

- Bring Mollux in against Pokemon that it can wall such as Tomohawk or Kerfluffle Kerf isn't super relevant, I need something a bit better here. or against Pokemon that are or will be choice locked into a move that does little damage to Mollux like Volkraken or Kartana Water-immunes are also free switch ins as well.
- Use the turn your opponent switches to set up rocks Stealth Rock, recover damage, reset rain, or attempt to spread status with Sludge Bomb, Lava Plume, or Thunder
- Keep Stealth Rock off the field, hurts its ability to tank strong hits a lot of the time.
- Watch for ground coverage before assuming a free switch against certain mons.

Team Options
========

- Rain abusers such as Swampert, Tomohawk, and Pelipper
- Pokemon that struggle against Tomohawk like?
- Pokemon that benefit from Mollux's many resistances and immunity like Colossoil, Jumbao, and Zygarde This is super vague and could include a ton of mons. I need you to specialize here.
- Mollux deals with Fairies so partners who like that
- Also deals with certain Waters so partners who like that
- Mollux sets Rocks according to the set, so what likes that?

Why do all these make good partners? I need more information here.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- A Choice Scarf set could be run, but its low speed and limited coverage leave it outclassed by other Scarf users I would need slightly more info about this set.
- Mollux has other options for utility moves such as Fire Spin and Clear Smog, but it is outclassed by other users of those or similar moves Just because other mons can use something similar doesn't mean they can't be used. Actually talk about these in more detail in seperate points.
- Mention Heal Bell
- Mention Toxic for reliable status infliction and putting pressure on other defensive mons.
- Mention Hidden Power Ground to catch Heatran and Mega Cruci off guard.

Checks and Counters
===================

- Pajantom is immune to status, often carries Earthquake, and can wear down Mollux with its Specially Defensive set Resists STABs as well.
- Mega Crucibelle fears being burned, but is capable of OHKOing Mollux with Head Smash Also Resists STABs
- Heatran is immune to both of Mollux's STAB attacks and threatens it with Earth Power Should move above Crucibelle.
- Almost every ground type threatens to OHKO Mollux with their STAB Examples needed, all but Colossoil hate being burned though. Also needs to be higher up, since Ground-types are super common.
- Any other physical attacker carrying a super effective move threatens Mollux, such as Medicham-Mega More examples needed. Also burns are bad.
-Mention Psychic-types

I need the beginning of each one to have **Insert Threat Here**: (for example **Heatran**: blah blah about Heatran) as well as doing a full line between each threat.

Credits needed, add these in.

Good start, but it still is lacking a lot of information. Implement these and I'll give another look at it.

[OVERVIEW]

The QC team wants this analysis to focus on how Mollux is a niche fit on Rain teams as a rain supporter, mostly by switching into and removing Jumbao, which otherwise checks rain, as well as providing some more niche utility. The overview should definitely reflect this. It might be easier to rewrite the overview - it shouldn't be this long.

- Bulky with access to Recover
- Immunity to both Poison and Burn make it impossible to wear down with status
- Many excellent resistances to common attacking types such as Fairy and Fire and an immunity to water dues to its ability you don't need to attribute the water immunity to the ability, simply say that it has a water immunity. also, actually name some of these Pokemon
- Excels in Rain due to Dry Skin and its ability to wall or threaten many of the common rain checks such as Tomohawk, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela
- Capable at functioning outside of rain by compressing certain roles such as setting Rocks or removing hazards in addition to being able to wall or threaten a number of Pokemon such as Jumbao or Magearna this point isn't needed anymore
- Weakness to the common ground type moves and its poor matchup against many of the top offensive threats in the metagame such as Landorus, Crucibelle, and Tapu Lele make it difficult to fit on a team
- Weakness to Stealth Rock is bad for a tank as it limits its ability to switch in as often as you might want it to makes it so it can't check Ash Greninja
- It takes a significant amount of damage from Pursuit users like Colossoil and Mega Tyranitar which both force Mollux out

[SET]
name: Specially Defensive

move 3: Rain Dance / Rapid Spin

move 4: Recover

evs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

- note only that Sludge Bomb is necessary to obliterate Jumbao
- Lava Plume is useful for hitting Ferrothorn

- Thunder is an alternative to Lava Plume that doesn't lose power in the rain and allows Mollux to spread Paralysis and do more damage to Pokemon like Heatran, Tomohawk, and Celesteela
- Stealth Rock wears down the opponents Pokemon, which can make it easier for Mollux's teammates to sweep or clean up in the late game remove Stealth Rock, Mollux doesn't pressure hazard removers well
- Rapid Spin can be used to remove hazards, reducing the amount of chip damage done to your team and allowing Mollux to come in more easily in the future
- Rain Dance allows Mollux to be a very effective secondary rain setter while also giving itself recovery and boosting the accuracy of its Thunder after Pelipper's rain runs out

Set Details
========

- The EVs, ability, and item are self explanatory actually you can just remove this section entirely

Usage Tips
========

- Bring Mollux in against Pokemon that it can wall such as mention Jumbao here too Tomohawk or Magearna, against Pokemon that are or will be choice locked into a move that does little damage to Mollux like Volkraken or Kartana, or in on a predicted water move, which Mollux is immune to water moves from what?
- Use the turn your opponent switches to set up Stealth Rock, recover damage, reset rain, or attempt to spread status with Sludge Bomb, Lava Plume, or Thunder this point essentially boils down to "click a move when the opponent switches out," which isn't helpful. if you were telling me how to use mollux, what do i do early game? late game?
- For Mollux to be able to fill its intended role of being a special wall, Stealth Rocks should be kept off the field This point needs to say that Mollux shouldn't switch into rocks repeatedly
- Certain Pokemon that Mollux would otherwise wall, such as Jumbao, occasionally carry ground type coverage so you should be careful bringing Mollux in on these Pokemon until you know their set

Team Options
========

This needs to say what rain teammates help mollux / which ones mollux supports / any variation on sets that needs to happen to accomodate for mollux. Remove any teammates that aren't directly tied to Mollux's role on rain

- Rain support gives Mollux extra passive recovery and can be provided Pelipper and Tomohawk
- Mollux struggles to switch in repeatedly when Stealth Rocks are up, so rapid spinners and defoggers such as Tornadus-Therian, Landorus-Therian, Tomohawk, and Pelipper
- Pokemon that resist or are immune to Ground, Rock, or Psychic attacks such as Colossoil, Celesteela, or Swampert-Mega
- Pokemon that struggle with Fairy types like Greninja, Zygarde, and Arghonaunt appreciate Mollux's quad resistance
- Mollux's ability to deal with some water types such as Toxapex and Greninja is helpful for Pokemon that struggle with them like Greninja and Volkraken
- Pokemon such as Greninja-Ash, Swampert-Mega, and other wallbreakers benefit from the Stealth Rocks Mollux is able to set up to help wear down the opposing team

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Mollux can run Heal Bell to recover its teammates' statuses what's the downside to running it, it wouldn't be in OO if not for a downside
- Toxic and Will-o-Wisp are options to more reliably spread status on the opposing team but don't deal damage, which is crucial to check...
- Hidden Power Ground can be used to catch Heatran and Crucibelle-Mega off guard what's the downside These Pokemon have a hard time against rain anyways
- Fire Spin can be used to trap the opposing Pokemon
- Clear Smog can be used to remove stat boosts, but Mollux is too slow to utilize this against most setup sweepers

Checks and Counters
===================

**Pajantom**: immune to status and specially bulky, often carries Earthquake, and can wear down Mollux with its Specially Defensive set

**Ground Types**: Zygarde, Colossoil, Landorus-Therian, and most other Ground types can OHKO Mollux, though all of the physical ground types aside from Colossoil risk being burned switching in

**Heatran**: immune to both of Mollux's STAB attacks and threatens it with Earth Power, move this up, it only fears Thunder

**Crucibelle-Mega**: capable of OHKOing Mollux with Head Smash, but fears being burned by Lava Plume merge this with the Strong physical attackers section

**Psychic Types*: While it is able to just barely survive most special Psychic attacks, Mollux is very threatened by Psychic types such as Tapu Lele and Medicham-Mega and by Psychic coverage there are more Psychic types

**Strong Physical Attackers**: since Mollux is a special wall, it isn't able to take many unresisted physical attacks, though most physical attackers must be careful not to get burned provide details on Mega Crucibelle here (about how it forces out mollux and regens off any semblance of damage) and also name more physical attackers and say why they're good checks but have to worry about burn or paralysis

- Good Special bulk with access to Recover and passive healing in rain due to Dry Skin move good special bulk and access to recover to the third bullet point. This point needs to openly say that Mollux is a niche Rain supporter that spreads status, etc. - what it does, not how it does it. What are some key threats to Rain that Mollux overcomes?
- Immunity to both Poison and Burn make it impossible to wear down with status
- Mollux's large number of resistances and water immunity allow it to wall or check common rain answers such as Jumbao, Tomohawk, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela
- Weakness to the common ground type moves and its poor matchup against many of the top offensive threats in the metagame such as Landorus, Crucibelle, and Tapu Lele make it difficult to fit on other a team archetypes

Moves
========

- Sludge bomb is able to OHKO all common Jumbao sets
- Lava Plume can be used to hit Ferrothorn spreads burns, how much does it do to ferro?
- Thunder allows Mollux to spread Paralysis and do more damage to Pokemon like Heatran, Tomohawk, and Celesteela
- Rain Dance allows Mollux to be a very effective secondary rain setter
- Rapid Spin can be used to remove hazards, reducing the amount of chip damage done to your team and allowing Mollux to come in more easily in the future Mentin Mollux's rather weak MU against common rockers

Usage Tips
========

- Bring Mollux in against Pokemon that it can wall such as Jumbao, Tomohawk, or Magearna or against Pokemon that are or will be choice locked into a move that does little damage to Mollux like Volkraken or Kartana, or in on a predicted water move from Pokemon like Ash Greninja or Arghonaut, which Mollux is immune to
- Pressure switch ins like what? by threatening to spread status or do significant chip damage with Sludge Bomb, Lava Plume, or Thunder
- You can also use the turn the opposing Pokemon switches out to Recover if Mollux is low on health, reset rain if needed, or to remove hazards
- As Mollux can't switch into Stealth Rocks repeatedly without losing its ability to check what it needs to, they should be kept off of the field
- Certain Pokemon that Mollux would otherwise wall, such as Jumbao, occasionally carry ground type coverage so you should be careful bringing Mollux in on these Pokemon until you know their set Jumbao runs Ground-type coverage more than "occasionally" - the point is a good start but needs a little rethinking

Team Options
========

- Pelipper is a great teammate for Mollux as it automatically sets up rain, provides a ground immunity, and can defog
- Tomohawk can provide utility to rain by being a secondary setter or can take advantage of Mollux being able to set up rain instead to run a different utility move like Rapid Spin or Healing Wish in addition to getting an accuracy boost for its Hurricanes this point should say that Tomohawk can run Rapid Spin or Focus Blast because Mollux is taking up the secondary rain setting role to align with the Tomohawk analysis.
- Tornadus Therian has access to Hurricane, can Defog, and provides a ground immunity
- Mega Swampert is a must have on a rain team and partners well with Mollux, appreciating its 4x Grass resistance, ability to soak up Scalds, and to set up rain. Mega Swampert is also able to switch in to Rock types that threaten Mollux, most notably Mega Crucibelle
- Ash Greninja is another Pokemon that benefits from rain that appreciates Mollux's Fairy and Grass resistance
- Mollux is able to threaten some of the bulky water types with Thunder that typically wall Volkraken, such as Toxapex or non-Earthquake Arghonaut if it doesn't have Earthquake
- Ferrothorn has good defensive synergy with Mollux as it is able to check many Pokemon that threaten it Mollux, such as Tapu Lele and Mega Crucibelle

this section should honestly have Pelipper and Mega Swampert first, then Tomohawk / Tornadus-T, then other rain mons

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Mollux can also run Stealth Rock or Toxic Spikes, but it does not pressure hazard removers well
- Mollux can run Heal Bell over Rain Dance or Rapid Spin, but it is useful in far fewer circumstances
- Toxic and Will-o-Wisp are options to more reliably spread status on the opposing team, but since they don't do damage, they generally aren't worth using over Sludge Bomb and Lava Plume respectively as Mollux would lose the ability to deal with certain Pokemon such as Jumbao or Ferrothorn

Checks and Counters

**Pajantom**: Specially bulky, resists Mollux's most common attacks, immune to status, often carries Earthquake, and can wear down Mollux with its Specially Defensive set

**Heatran**: Immune to both of Mollux's STAB attacks and threatens it with Earth Power, though it can't switch into Thunder too many times

Many Pokemon also carry Ground type coverage, such as Arghonaut, Syclant, Krillowat, and Mega Pinsir

**Psychic Types*: While it is able to just barely survive most special Psychic attacks, Mollux is very threatened by Psychic types such as Tapu Lele, Medicham-Mega, Hoopa, and Reuniclus and by Psychic coverage from what?

**Strong Physical Attackers**: Because it is a special wall, Mollux isn't able to take many unresisted physical attacks. Mega Crucibelle in particular forces Mollux out and can U-Turn out, healing from Regenerator and providing momentum for its team. Other physical attackers like Necturna, Hawlucha, and Caribolt posses strong neutral attacks that threaten Mollux. [OVERVIEW]
- Mollux has a niche on rain, providing utility by spreading status, being a secondary rain setter, and by walling or threatening common rain answers such as Jumbao, Tomohawk, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela
- Immunity to both Poison and Burn make it impossible to wear down with status technically not "impossible" due to Corrosion / Soak, change the wording to reflect this.
- Mollux has good Special bulk, access to Recover, large number of resistances and a Water immunity, and passive healing in rain What do all these traits help with? Why does this make it a niche on rain?
- Weakness to the common ground type moves and its poor matchup against many of the top offensive threats in the metagame such as Landorus, Crucibelle, and Tapu Lele make it difficult to fit on teams other team archetypes (Even on rain these reasons often stop mollux from being used, so generalise this point a bit).
- Weakness to Stealth Rock is bad for a tank as it limits its ability to check what it is supposed to, such as Ash Greninja Reword this to something like " A weakness to hazards makes Mollux reliant on removal to reliably check..." might be a personal thing but tank is not the word, use "wall" if thats what you want to go for.
- It takes a significant amount of damage from Pursuit users like Colossoil and Mega Tyranitar which both force Mollux out (This is mostly irrelevant particularly on rain teams, feel free to mention in usage tips to avoid letting Mollux get trapped when it is required for hazards / rain tho)

Moves
========

- Sludge bomb is able to OHKO all common Jumbao and Tapu Bulu sets (Trick room builds can often be an issue for Rain, particularly variants with Bulu which most do run. Pretty important reason to use mollux on rain imo)
- Lava Plume has a chance to OHKO Ferrothorn and spreads burns
- Thunder allows Mollux to spread Paralysis and do more damage to Pokemon like Heatran, Tomohawk, and Celesteela Can you change this a bit, it allows it to hit Heatran at all, whilst allowing Mollux to beat Celesteela with rain up. Remove the mention of paralysis. lol
- Rain Dance allows Mollux to be a very effective secondary rain setter
- Rapid Spin can be used to remove hazards, but Mollux has poor matchups against many common rockers

Usage Tips
========

- Bring Mollux in against Pokemon that it can wall such as Jumbao, Tomohawk, or Magearna or against Pokemon that are or will be choice locked into a move that does little damage to Mollux like Volkraken or Kartana, or in on a predicted water move from Pokemon like Ash Greninja or Arghonaut, which Mollux is immune to tl;dr bring mollux in when its safe to bring mollux in, this is pretty self-explanatory and redundant
- Pressure switch ins like Mega Crucibelle, Heatran, and Landorus-T, by threatening to spread status or do significant chip damage with Sludge Bomb, Lava Plume, or Thunder can you match the order of the moves to the ones they pressure
- You can also use the turn the opposing Pokemon switches out to Recover if Mollux is low on health, reset rain if needed, or to remove hazards
- As Mollux can't switch into Stealth Rocks repeatedly without losing its ability to check what it needs to Who cant Mollux switch into with hazards up? What does Rocks up change give some examples, they should be kept off of the field
- Certain Pokemon that Mollux would otherwise wall, such as Jumbao, often carry ground type coverage so you should be careful bringing Mollux in on these Pokemon until you know their set

- What can Mollux set rain on why is that important for a rain team over something like Tomohawk as a secondary.

Team Options
========

- Pelipper is a great teammate for Mollux as it automatically sets up rain, provides a ground immunity, and can remove hazards for Mollux with Defog
- Mega Swampert is a must have on a rain team and partners well with Mollux, appreciating its 4x Grass resistance, ability to soak up Scalds, and to set up rain. Mega Swampert is also able to switch into Rock types that threaten Mollux, most notably Mega Crucibelle
- Tomohawk can provide utility to rain by being a secondary setter or, if Mollux is the secondary rain setter of the team, can use the freed up moveslot to run another move like Rapid Spin or Focus Blast
- Tornadus Therian has access to Hurricane, can Defog, and provides a ground immunity
- Ash Greninja is another Pokemon that benefits from rain that appreciates Mollux's Fairy and Grass resistance
- Mollux is able to threaten some of the bulky water types with Thunder that typically wall Volkraken, such as Toxapex or non-Earthquake Arghonaut
- Ferrothorn has good defensive synergy with Mollux, being able to check many Pokemon that threaten it, such as Tapu Lele and Mega Crucibelle and Mega Latios (Ferrothorn does not check Tapu Lele as they always have either Focus Blast or Hidden Power Fire, or even All Out Pummeling which kills with just a bit of chip).
-Tapu Koko appreciates Mollux's ability to deal with Bulky Grass-types such as Jumbao and fits on rain well.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options

- Mollux can also run Stealth Rock or Toxic Spikes, but it does not pressure hazard removers well
- Mollux can run Heal Bell over Rain Dance or Rapid Spin, but it is useful in far fewer circumstances
- Toxic and Will-o-Wisp are options to more reliably spread status on the opposing team, but since they don't do damage, they generally aren't worth using over Sludge Bomb and Lava Plume respectively as Mollux would lose the ability to deal with certain Pokemon such as Jumbao or Ferrothorn Id also mention Thunder Wave here as its perhaps the best status move on Mollux - helps slowing things down in case your Swift Swimmers are left rainless

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ground Types and Coverage**: Colossoil, Landorus-Therian, and most other Ground types can OHKO Mollux, though all of the physical ground types aside from Colossoil risk being burned switching in. Many Pokemon also carry Ground type coverage, such as Arghonaut, Syclant, Krillowat, and Mega Pinsir

**Psychic Types*: While it is able to just barely survive most special Psychic attacks, Mollux is very threatened by Psychic types such as Tapu Lele, Medicham-Mega, Hoopa, and Reuniclus and by Psychic coverage from Pokemon such as Zen headbutt on Tapu Bulu or Extrasensory on Greninja

Most of these Pokemon need to careful of being statused or damaged upon switching in.

OK, written up, I left the bullets in a spoiler so I can refer back to them if needed. I'm not entirely satisfied with the phrasing of some parts, but it's decent enough and I can take another pass at it after the next check.

[OVERVIEW]

Mollux is a niche pick for rain teams that can provide utility by spreading status, being a secondary rain setter, and by walling or threatening common rain answers such as Jumbao, Tomohawk, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela. Mollux's typing grants it an immunity to both poison and burn along with many resistances which, in addition to its good special bulk, access to Recover, Water immunity, and passive healing in rain enable it to stay healthy during a match while also answering the threats it needs to. While it may posses many resistances, its weakness to many common offensive types means it is unable to check many of the metagame's top offensive threats such as Landorus-T, Mega Crucibelle, and Tapu Lele Mega Alakazam. Tapu Lele is undeniably a difficult Pokemon for Mollux to deal with, but I believe that Mega Alakazam is a better mention because it generally does more against rain teams. And finally, weakness to Stealth Rock and Spikes severely limits its switchin opportunities and hampers its ability to check some threats it otherwise would, such as Ash Greninja.

Moves
========

Sludge bomb allows Mollux to OHKO all common Jumbao and Tapu Bulu sets, both of which can be difficult for rain to deal with otherwise. Tapu Bulu is barely relevant. Lava Plume has a chance to OHKO Ferrothorn outside of rain and can also be used to spread burns. Mention something about how weak it is in rain. Thunder lets Mollux do damage to Heatran in addition to hitting Arghonaut, Toxapex, and Tomohawk for more damage than its STAB moves and also helps it beat Celesteela while rain is up. Arghonaut doesn't really mind it. Rain Dance allows Mollux to be an effective secondary rain setter. Rapid Spin can be used to remove hazards, but is not ideal as Mollux has poor matchups against many common rockers.

Usage Tips
========

Mollux should be brought in on resisted hits against Pokemon that it either walls or checks and then take advantage of the switches it causes. What Pokemon specifically? It can put pressure on its switch ins like Mega Crucibelle, Heatran, and Landorus-T by threatening to spread status or deal significant chip damage. If its health is starting to get low it can also use this turn to Recover so it can come in again in the future or it can use the turn to remove hazards. Handholding, the following sentence is generally more relevant to keep in imo. It can also use this turn to set up rain against Pokemon that Pelipper or Tomohawk can't set up against repeatedly or at all such as Magearna, Tapu Koko, and Zapdos. Stealth Rocks make Mollux unable to switch in repeatedly, so they should be kept off the field or else Mollux will be less able fail to check what it needs to. And you should also be careful about bringing it in against Pokemon that often run ground coverage, like Jumbao, that would otherwise be walled by Mollux. I'd phrase this more like "Scout for Ground-type coverage from xyz."

Team Options
========

Mollux fits best on rain teams where it can patch up some weaknesses and benefit from the passive healing while also providing a valuable water immunity. Along with being the best rain setter in the tier, Pelipper is a great teammate for Mollux as it also provides a ground immunity and can remove hazards with Defog. Mega Swampert is a must have on a rain team and partners well with Mollux, appreciating its 4x Grass resistance, ability to soak up Scalds, and to set up rain. Mega Swampert is also able to switch in to Rock types that threaten Mollux, most notably Mega Crucibelle, though it has to be careful of the occasional Wood Hammer. Tomohawk appreciates Mollux's ability to check Fairies and can provide utility to rain by being a secondary setter or, if Mollux is the secondary rain setter of the team, can use the freed up moveslot to run another move like Rapid Spin or Focus Blast. Tornadus Therian is an all around great Pokemon that benefits from rain due to Hurricane, can Defog, and provides a ground immunity. Ash Greninja is another Pokemon that benefits from rain that appreciates Mollux's Fairy and Grass resistance. Mollux is able to threaten some of the bulky water types with Thunder that typically wall Volkraken, such as Toxapex or non-Earthquake Arghonaut. Ferrothorn has good defensive synergy with Mollux, being able to check many Pokemon that threaten it, such as Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle. Tapu Koko is another Pokemon that fits well on rain, appreciates Mollux's ability to deal with some bulky Grass types like Jumbao, and can defog. There's nothing really wrong here, but I think you should change the phrasing of some mentions up, because some are almost identical right now.

Other Options
=============

Mollux can run Stealth Rock or Toxic Spikes, but it does not pressure hazard removers well. Heal Bell is another option that can be run over Rain Dance or Rapid spin, but it is useful in far fewer circumstances. Toxic or Will-o-Wisp are options to more reliably spread status on the opposing team, but since they don't do direct damage, they generally aren't worth using over Sludge Bomb and Lava Plume respectively as Mollux would lose the ability to deal with certain Pokemon such as Jumbao or Ferrothorn. Thunder Wave may be the best status move Mollux could run as it provides speed control that persists outside of rain, but it suffers from the same problems as other status moves. Never worth considering.
