Hello, everyone! Welcome to 'Mon of the Month, where artists show their renditions of some of the community's most beloved Pokemon. The aim is to inspire each other with our styles and ideas and hopefully we can all learn from each other, and have fun along the way!

At the end of every month, the Studio moderators will select various artwork that they feel are unique and represent the skill of the artist well. These will be added to The Gallery, where we showcase some of the best artwork this forum has to offer, for everyone to see.

There are certain rules to follow, however:

1. Plagiarism: This should be a no-brainer, but all artwork must be your own. If you're caught stealing artwork from somewhere else, you can be sure that you won't be allowed in this again.

2. Reposting old artwork: This thread aims to have completely new art from every artist each month, and hopefully even show their progress over time as the project goes on, so it is recommended that artists refrain from posting their artwork that they made a while ago. However, if there is certain drawing you already made for the Pokemon before and feel that it strongly captures your skill to this day, feel free to share it!

3. Submission cap: There is none. If you want to make multiple drawing over the course of the month, no one's stopping you! More is better.

4. Collaboration: If two artists wish to collaborate on a single drawing, feel free to! Make sure that both artists are credited in the post, however.

5. Artistic freedom: This project aims on giving one Pokemon a spotlight every month. Pre-evolutions of the Pokemon in question are allowed alongside the spotlight Pokemon in all cases. If the artist wishes to follow a certain theme by including other Pokemon in the artwork as well (for example, Torkoal and Magcargo in an artwork centered around Primal Groudon), it is allowed as long as the spotlight Pokemon is the center of attraction.

6. Critiques and suggestions: The main aim of this project is for people to learn from each other, so suggestion and critiques are always welcome! However, make sure that any criticism given is constructive, and is aimed to help the artist in question.

7. Have fun! This project is open to everyone that wishes to participate, and we hope everyone has their fair share of fun that goes into drawing.

The current spotlight is

Heracross!

Submissions will end on July 1st at 00:00 GMT, do your best!
