Special Rule: Pokemon are equipped on send-in, similar to how Anime-Style Simulator challenges work.
Special Rule #2: The Gym League rules on Megas is in effect. A mega may be used as long as it shares a type with the gym. Pokemon that mega evolve into a Pokemon with the right type can only be used in their mega evolved form, and enter the field mega evolved (see: Mega Lopunny in Fighting). Pokemon that lose the proper type on mega evolution may not be used (see: Mega Aggron in Rock).
Special Rule #3: Silvally can be used, but it must hold the Memory associated with the typing of the team, unless you are Normal, in which case, you cannot use a Memory. Silvally will be immune to any item-changing/removing effect if it is holding a Memory item, and Knock Off will get a boosted BAP against a Silvally holding a Memory.

Limber (Passive)
This Pokemon's body is well trained and immune to paralysis. If the Pokemon with this Ability is Electric-type, this Pokemon's Speed cannot be lowered by any method, including self-inflicted reductions.

Unburden (Passive)
This Pokemon is incredibly possessive. If it uses or loses an item in battle its rage swells and its Speed doubles (x2) until it receives another item. This ability only activates on the first use of a consumable item - subsequent uses of the same item do not activate Unburden, even if the Pokemon switches out between uses.

Mold Breaker (Passive) [Unlocked]
Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities. Yo yo YO!... I need a new introduction. Welcome Peepz and Peepettes to Set 2 of Round 1 of the 1st Monotype tournament! Where you pick one type and yolo and hope to win one of Lake Trio or even a Genesect! Today in this arena we have a newcomer named awesomec walking around with a bulky Fighting Mono squad. Ironically his opponent today is the Fighting Gym Leader and asb veteran Birkal with a fiesty Dragon Team! Our Lovely Luvdisc tells us awesome will send out first so let's get this party started huh?

AC424's lead of choice is Doink the Conkeldurr kek what adorable name carrying an Expert Belt on both of his pillars. Birkal retaliates with Cuélebre the Salamence with a shiny Mega Stone. Immediately after Cuélebre Mega Evolved, the Salamence summoned a Protective barrier, blocking Doink's icy punches. This time the Conkeldurr goes defensive, summoning a barrier of his own and protects himself from the Salamence's strike which seem to have a lot of pent up anger in it. Finally Cuélebre flies towards the Conkeldurr and headbutting against him! Doink becomes dazed and unable to strike back after such attack.

Round started off slow with some defensive plays but defintely became unfortanate for ac424 filled with action at the end of the round! What shall our newcomer do now?​

Blue Note the Lucario wearing an Expert Belt around its head joins the field as awesomec's third Pokemon and ot replace his fallen comrade.

Cuélebre slams into the ground, breaking the floor of the arena apart and causing Blue to fall into it. The Lucario floats back up from the hole with magnetism. Lucario goes for a strike, but moves a little too late as Cuélebre flies into the sky and avoids it. He then comes back into the arena and strikes Blue with its red crescent wing. Finally Birkal sees he has a fair lead against his opponent and decides to let his Salamence take a small rest in the middle of the battle! Blue Note takes this time and summons rocks to fall upon Cuélebre as he lays down on the ground.

With Salamence still healthy, and Birkal still having two options to choice from, this is becoming rough for awesomec. Will he find a way to get over this hill?
