Sableye @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Knock Off
- Will-O-Wisp
- Encore
- Recover

Despite Sableye's below-average defensive stats, its unique part-Ghost typing, Prankster, reliable recovery, and plethora of utility moves have carved it a niche on Dark-type teams. Sableye's Ghost typing makes it one of the few Dark-type answers to the likes of Iron Defense Kommo-o and Galarian Zapdos, as as well as a spinblocker at times. Knock Off prevents Sableye from being entirely passive, while Will-O-Wisp makes up for its substandard Defense stat, crippling physical attackers that threaten Dark-type teams such as Urshifu-R and Zeraora. Encore takes advantage of threatening setup sweepers like Corviknight and Tapu Fini. That said, Sableye is vulnerable against special attackers like Galarian Moltres. Tyranitar ameliorates this by providing a reliable specially defensive switch-in. Additionally, Galarian Moltres, Zarude, Weavile, and Hydreigon all provide key offensive presence and appreciate the Fighting immunity Sableye provides; Bisharp and Drapion in particular do the same and deal with Fairy-types that gravely threaten Sableye.

Idt u necessarily need mandibuzz, I have a build with: Sableye, Moltres, Hydrei, Tar, Zarude, Bisharp and checking Bisharp is just moreso on the offensive end with Hydreigon and Zarude. The Steel matchup you kinda just break things down really easily with all: Galarian Moltres, Hydreigon, Zarude and Bisharp making Mandibuzz a little unnecessary solely for Bisharp. The Dark matchup seems more reliant on Zarude/Bisharp making progress so (Mandibuzz would be good here and it's also not super required). I would also mention Urshifu-S also as it punishes Surging Strikes as Mandibuzz does nothing to it other then: it pivots into it but its best move against it is U-turn or Toxic (which can be scouted by pex/fini/etc). Corviknight/Lax/Fini is also a really notable targets for encore.

TLDR: Mention Urshifu-S, reconsider/evaluate Mandibuzz? it seems like Dark teams should be shifting from Mandibuzz IMO, Mentioning Encore Targets.

Despite Sableye's below-average defensive stats, its unique part-Ghost typing and access to a typing, Prankster, reliable recovery, and plethora of utility moves including reliable recovery in tandem with its ability Prankster has helped Sableye carve itself have carved it a niche on Dark-type teams. Sableye's Ghost-typing allows it to act as one of the few counterplay Dark-type teams have to offer against Ghost typing makes it one of the few Dark-type answers to the likes of Iron Defense Kommo-o and Galarian Zapdos, (AC) while also being able to act as as well as a spinblocker at times. Knock Off prevents Sableye from being entirely passive, (AC) while Will-O-Wisp makes up for Sableye's its substandard Defense stat, crippling physical attackers that threaten Dark-type teams such as Urshifu-R and Zeraora.
