Monotype Slowbro (Water)

Slowbro @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Slack Off
- Scald
- Future Sight
- Teleport

Though not as good on Water Monotype teams as its younger, smarter brother Slowking, Slowbro's higher Defense still makes it a solid choice for teams that struggle against powerful physical attackers like Urshifu-R and Excadrill. Balance teams in particular greatly appreciate Slowbro's presence, as it can check physical Ground-types such as Garchomp, Mamoswine, and Excadrill, thus relieving these teams of the need to run a Ground-immune Pokemon such as Mantine or Rotom-W. The combination of Future Sight and Teleport allows Slowbro to bring in its frailer teammates, like Urshifu-R, Keldeo, and Crawdaunt, to tear holes in the opponent's team. Meanwhile, Slowbro stays healthy thanks to Regenerator. Scald helps mitigate Slowbro's passivity further, with the burn chance being able to cripple foes that switch in on Slowbro, like Weavile and Zeraora. The EV spread gives Slowbro a chance to tank powerful special attacks such as Choice Specs Tapu Lele's Psychic, giving it even more opportunities to activate Regenerator.

Though not as good on Water Monotype teams as its younger, smarter brother Slowking, Slowbro's higher physical defense still makes it a solid choice for teams that struggle against powerful physical attackers like Urshifu-R, Cinderace, (which water is struggling with cinderace, it also just u-turns out anyway) and Excadrill. The combination of Future Sight and Teleport allows Slowbro to bring in its frailer teammates, like Urshifu-R, Keldeo, and Crawdaunt, to tear holes in the opponent's team while also keeping Slowbro healthy thanks to Regenerator (this is a lot to tackle in one sentence and gets kind of confusing, try to split it up more clearly) Slack Off keeps Slowbro healthy against foes that deal big damage against it like Zeraora without it having to switch out (this is a weird example, why would you just stay in and slack off vs a zeraora. i don't really see the point of this sentence honestly, slack off is just to generally keep slowbro healthy and i think thats obvious). Scald further contributes to Slowbro's stellar physically defensive capabilities helps mitigate Slowbro's passivity, with the burn chance being able to cripple foes like Garchomp and Zeraora that switch in on Slowbro. It also serves as Slowbro's main method of dealing with Dark teams (not really dark teams, also kinda unnecessary) The EV spread gives Slowbro a chance to tank powerful special attacks such as Choice Specs Dragapult's Shadow Ball, giving it even more opportunities to activate Regenerator.

the main niche slowbro has on balance water right now is it allows you to forgo having a ground immune like mantine, rotom-w, golisopod, etc. by checking physical grounds like garchomp, excadrill, and mamoswine and providing futureport in one slot. you mention some of these mons in passing but i'd like you to emphasize this point
add remove (comments)
implement this and ill qc StarFalcon555
also need to find out what this spread does, it's hella not for specs dragapult though

move the last sentence to after the first sentence
try not to repeat examples too much — you’re already repeating exca and chomp examples. weavile / zarude are good examples for scald targets

252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 252 HP / 40 SpD Slowbro in Psychic Terrain: 164-193 (41.6 - 48.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Pls specify specs psychic. Moon blast needs to be specified as “Choice Scarf moon blast” because they’re both commonly ran. But for simplicity sake just replace the blast with psychic and add specs for clarification
