Other Metagames Monotype: the power of Electro

Hi all guys

First of all I'm sorry if I'm posting a lot of teams, but I'd like to have a team for more tiers so I ask u to continue to rate, sooner or later I will finish D:

Second, this is my first monotype team and I choose my fav type, electric.

Honestly I am not sure of this building phase, but I will explain as best as I can:

First I choosed the type, the electric type. Then I choose from the list of all electric types my first pokemon. I started with Ampharos and Eelektross, why this choice? Well, Ampharos with mega-evo gains the dragon type and a fantastic SpAtk while Eelektross has the great ability Levitation, which delete his only weakness. So we can say that this is my starting point...

At this initial "core" I put beside Rotom-W, with his great bulkyness and only weakness in grass type, not a great problem for this team, and Thundurus with his Prankster, he can spread Thunder Wave helping other pokemon like Ampharos and Elektross which have not a great speed stat.

I noticed that I needed a physical attacker, and the only good was Electivire (I'd like to choose Zekrom, but he is banished D:). So I choosed him as 5th pokemon. For the last slot I was very undecided between Zapdos and Raikou. Finally the choice was Zapdos, just because he can take a more defensive role than Raikou, but I'm not sure...

MOVESETS:

Ampharos (F) @ Ampharosite
Ability: Static
EVs: 248 HP / 28 SpA / 232 SpD
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast/Rest
- Signal Beam/Thunderbolt/Sleep Talk

I'm not sure of his movesets. The evs spread imo is good, giving him good SpDef. With Volt Switch he can provide a safe enter to other members, while Dragon Pulse is the second STAB. I think Focus Blast and Thunderbolt are good moves, even if the RestTalk is also a good idea... Signal Beam could be good for coverage, but is has not a great base power.

Eelektross (F) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Flamethrower
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off/Flash Cannon

The AV set is really good, making him the second pokemon of the team with a good SpDef.
Volt Switch as STAB and for momentum, Flamethrower and Giga Drain for coverage. For the last slot I could take Knock Off that is always good, but also Flash Cannon is a good move for Fairies.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Classic set with max Def. I think is good...

Thundurus @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast

With Prankster I can spam Thunder Wave and then hit enemies with a great coverage. Thunder Wave helps other team members, like Ampharos and Eelektross, in sweeping.

Electivire (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wild Charge
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Cross Chop

I know that is difficult, with this team, to receive electric moves, but when it happens, like a Volt Switch for example, Electivire can absorb it and boost his speed, becoming a real problem with his great movepool. Expert Belt is to replace the Life Orb and avoid the recoil, seeing that he has Wild Charge that gives recoil. Cross Chop is to hit also normal and dark type with a supereffective move.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 176 Def / 68 SpA / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Defog
- Heat Wave

The second "physical wall" of the team, Thunderblot and Heat Wave to hit enemies, while Defog is always good to remove hazards.

As I said before, I was undecided between Zapdos and Raikou, but I thought also to Galvantula, because he is a good setter of the Sticky Web, that also helps my team, but I can "replace" it with Prankster+Thunder Wave with Thundurus...

BTW thid i the team, thanks in advance to all the replies.

Hey man, cool team! Here's a rate :)

The first thing I noticed was your uncertainty regarding your amph sets. I would definitely reccommend the bulkier RestTalk spread because it fits with your set and allows your team to switch in on many threatening mons like, for example, zard y and loom's spore. Rest allows you to preserve amph's health and sleep talk let's you do something even while asleep. Amph is a really nice momentum mon for you because it can get off a slow volt switch or it can get off some decent damage with stab dpulse. The bulky set would definitely be helpful.

Second of all, I'd reccomend replacing Electivire with Specs Magnezone. Electivire is a pretty weak mon and does not offer as much offensive presence as you would want so it definitely seems to be holding your team down. Adding magnezone gives you a much needed dragon resist and hits extremely hard due to its incredible SpA and item. Volt Switch for momentum, T-bolt to hit with strong STAB, Flash Cannon for stab to help hit other types hard as well and finally, HP Grass to help with the pesky ground matchup. Running sturdy also allows you to live any attack from anything like, say, Landorus and you can dent it with Flash Cannon. HP Grass helps a bunch vs annoying mons like gastrodon, seismi, or swampert as it ohkos. Overall an amazing mon that provides you with necessary resists.

Now, because your physical attacker is gone. I would reccomend changing Eelektross to Physical. Eelektross has an underrated, extremely useful physical movepool that can help your team deal with threatening mons that can potentially wall like chansey and p2, as it has access to koff. KOff provides electric with a useful dark move and eliminates the opposing item. Drain punch, the next reccomended move, hits normal types and ttar while also healing health a bit. 3rd move is Rock Slide because volcarona puts in tons of work vs electric and av eel easily lives a hit and ohkos. Now, the final move may seem odd but I definitely would suggest Iron Tail. Iron Tail is mainly for luring mega diancie and hitting CM Clef hard, which is a huge annoyance. Eel has a nice movepool for an electric mon.

Final suggestion is your thund set. I would reccomend Grass Knot > Focus Blast. Gknot is amazing for the ground matchup AND water matchup (which isnt as easy as you would think.) It completely decimates ground as ground has no switch in to both gknot and HP Ice, and can safely switch out of threats like exca into rotom. Water has no switchins besides lanturn that can switch into this thund set.
That's what I got, here sre the sets!
