More Balanced Hackmons (Slate 3 Voting)

#1
bhbanner.png

This will be a Pet Mod where moves, mons, items, and abilities will be modified in an effort to create a more diversified, and hopefully, a more Balanced Hackmons.

For example:
"Teleport now is a Baton Pass clone with -6 Priority."
"Adamant Orb cannot be knocked off when Dialga holds it."
"Swampert-Mega now has 110/135/120/80/120/70 stats."

Guidelines:
Pokemon buffs:
  • should be balanced. Offensive mons should be able to have a reliable defensive and offensive checks, and defensive mons should be able to be broken through without excessive setup.
    • For example, giving 50 Attack to Beedrill-Mega would not be allowed.
  • should only be used on C-rank or lower mons.
    • For example, you would not be able to buff Zekrom.
Generally, mega BST should not exceed 780, and non-mega BST should not exceed 680. These are extremely general, however, and more specific guidelines will be enforced for each slate.

Ability/item buffs and new abilities/items:
  • should strictly be clones of one other legal ability/item, so as to not be broken. However, if you can prove that the ability/item is not broken on top-tier Pokemon, it will be allowed.
    • For example, an ability that doubles Special Attack, raises Defense by 3 when a stat is lowered, or lowers the opponent's Defense every turn would not be allowed.
  • should be balanced. Make sure that likely candidates for this ability would not be broken, testing with damage calcs.
    • For example, a Flying-typed Steelworker clone would not be balanced, for Rayquaza-Mega could abuse it with Dragon Ascent to nearly 2HKO Registeel.
Move buffs and new moves:
  • should have downsides if the BP is 130 or above to balance. Exceptions include moves that have a bad offensive typing (Bug, Grass, Poison), which can instead have no additional effect.
    • Downsides include: low accuracy (80% or lower), lowers stats on use (be wary of Contrary, however), charges, recharges, delayed hit, lowers based on user's/opponent's HP, based off of user's and opponent's base stats, recoil, requires certain typing + removes said typing on use, faints user
  • should be balanced. Make sure that likely candidates for this move would not be broken, testing with damage calcs. Take likely abilities into account as well.
    • For example, a Steel-type Extreme Speed clone would not be balanced, for Kartana could abuse it with Steelworker to outspeed and eliminate common Prankster users.

To kick off the first slate, one aspect of BH is the prevalence of Fairies, such as Diancie-Mega and Xerneas on the offensive side, and Audino-Mega on the defensive side. On the other hand, Poison types are almost seldom used, due to their subpar offensive and defensive presence, low BST, and lack of powerful and viable moves. So to begin with, I'd like to base this slate on buffing Poison-types.

Make 2 buffs: one to Muk-Alola to be a better special wall, one to Naganadel to be a better special or mixed attacker. The last buff to Poison-types will be adding a Poison-type move or ability. This can be offensive or defensive.

BST limits:
Muk-Alola: 600 max BST, defensive stat sum must not exceed 360
Naganedel: 600 max BST, offensive stat sum must not exceed 360
recommended: make the base stats prime

I put like 15 min into this hf

Pokemon
Stats:
105/105/75/65/100/50 (500) -> 135/125/105/65/130/40 (600)
Summary of Changes: With these changes, Muk turns into an exceptional special wall with a reasonable attack stat to be able to Pursuit trap sht. It's given good physical bulk to be able to tank hits from special attackers with phys coverage, as well.
e: since this was meant for stat changes - hp is to give muk more general bulk, 125 atk is reasonable to give it some offensive power, more def so it can take mmy's v-create/bolt strike easier, unchanged spatk bc muk doesnt need it, more special bulk bc it's meant to be a special wall, 40 speed to underspeed regi and dino
Competitive Use: Muk's main use is a hard counter to Mega Mewtwo Y. Contrary sets fall short against it, with V-Create being MMY's best chance to beat it and even then only having roughly an 18% chance of 2HKOing Muk after SR. Sheer Force sets have a somewhat easier time against it, but Bolt Strike can't 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery and Earth Power can be levitated vs. There aren't many other sets for Mega Mewtwo Y, so Muk can reasonably check most of them. The issue is it being difficult for Muk to check all Mega Mewtwo Y's sets at once.
Is it OP?: This is a really bad question because without playtesting it's kinda hard to tell if something will be broken or not just from theory. However, there's definitely a lot of ways to deal with it - Primal Kyogre can Scald burn it, Diancie-Mega can Boomburst it, etc. It's only really good for checking Mega Mewtwo Y and Mega Gengar at once.
Sample Set(s):
Muk-Alola @ Black Sludge

Muk-Alola
Stats: 110/110/90/100/120/40 (570 BST)
Summary of Changes: +5 HP, +5 Atk, +15 Def, +35 SpA, +20 SpD, -10 Spe
Competitive Use: Muk-Alola becomes a very effective RegenVester, having enough Special Attack to 2HKO Gengar-Mega with Revelation Dance, even when the opponent Quiver Dances. It also underspeeds the crowded base 50 walls, making it an effective pivot.
Is it OP?: It is still KO'd by Specs Boomburst from the likes of Rayquaza-Mega and Diancie-Mega, and its STABs still make it quite passive.
Sample Set(s):
RegenVest (Muk-Alola) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Knock Off
- Revelation Dance
- Rapid Spin / Nuzzle / Poison Fang
- U-turn

Defensive (Muk-Alola) @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Unaware / Fur Coat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Knock Off
- Spectral Thief

- U-turn

Nagandel
Stats: 73/73/73/167/67/137 (590 BST)
Summary of Changes: +40 SpA, -6 SpA, +16 Spe
Competitive Use: Nagandel becomes a speedy special wallbreaker that can outspeed other attackers such as Mewtwo-Mega-X and Gengar-Mega and OHKO them with its STAB attacks.
Is it OP?: It has a lot of trouble against Steel-types and Regenvesters not weak to its STABs such as Kyogre-Primal and Registeel, and is OHKOd by Extreme Speed from -ates after Stealth Rock or other chip damage.
Sample Set(s):
Wallbreaker (Naganadel) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb / Sludge Wave
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power / Blue Flare
- Volt Switch / U-Turn

Belch

Category: Special
Power: 130
Accuracy: 85
PP: 8
Effect (if any): 20% to poison the target.
Competitive Use: It offers a better special Poison-type attack.
Is It OP?: It's a Blue Flare clone with worse type coverage, so likely not.
Likely users: Gengar-Mega, Naganadel, Rayquaza-Mega (?)

Naganadel
Stats: 73/73/73/127/73/121(540)--> 83/61/79/163/83/131(600)
Summary of Changes: Pushing this boi to the limit while keeping its stats prime. +10/-8/+6/+36/+10/+10
Competitive Use: Threatens out the big two dragon boys and isnt afraid of big diancie/maud in the process. Fast enough to run set up like tail glow or no aet up at all without being scared of spooky plate man making it normal or buff geyser shooter bopping it in its sleep
Is it OP?: Its stabs are the same and its phys attack got even worse so most vest steels are probably straight stops
Sample Set(s):

Naganadel @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe

Pokemon
Old Stats
: 73/73/73/127/73/121
New Stats: 73/53/83/179/83/129
Summary of Changes: 0/-20/+10/+52/+10/+8
Competitive Use: Incredibly strong wall breaker that with tinted lens and choice specs 2hkos sassy registeel with clanging scales. Speed tier ties ultra necrozma but is outsped by gar and mmx (it had a composite number for speed so who cares). Difficult to answer if ones spd wall isn’t kyogre. The defense lives pixi plate fakespeed from diancie.
Is it OP?: Not at all, regenvest kyogre literally takes like nothing and it misses out on the crucial 130 speed. Also has like no bulk and will heavily rely on tinted to break steels.
Sample Set(s):
Naganadel @ Choice Specs / Dragonium Z / Poisonium Z / Life Orb
Ability: Tinted Lens / Adaptability / Dazzling
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Clanging Scales
- Corrosive Acid
- Volt Switch / Shell Smash
- Moongeist Beam / Earth Power
Corrosive Acid

Category: Special
Power: 80
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 24
Effect: 10% chance to poison. Hits Steel types super effectively.
Competitive Use: A special coverage against steels that doesn’t have an immunity option while having rare resists. Also good STAB for poison types to spam. Also boosted by SF.
Is It OP?: Pretty balanced move with a low bp to balance it out.
Likely users: Gengar, Naganadel, Psychic types?

Muk-Alola

Stats: 105/105/75/65/100/50 (500) 120/125/125/70/115/45 (600)

Summary of Changes: +15/+20/+50/-5/+15/-5

Competitive Use: poison dark means youre something immune to psychic but not weak to fighting or fairy so this thing can be a decent mewtwo check. A simultaneous resistance to moongeist, sunsteel, and power trip along with an immunity to stored power allows muk to function as a decent set up check.

Is it OP?: may only have one weakness, but resistances are lacking.groundium z diancie takes out non-vest variants. It also lacks key resistances to offense oriented moves in the meta, such as fire and flying. I can see this being really good and whether or not it's broken is hard to say.

Sample Set(s):
Muk-Alola @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Relaxed Nature

Naganadel
Stats: 71/59/79/163/89/139 (600)
Summary of Changes: -2/-14/+6/+36/+16/+18
Competitive Use: Naganadel acts as a fast and powerful special sweeper with an interesting typing both offensively and defensively. It has lots of resistances to switch into some resisted hits, but bad overall bulk makes it more of a glass cannon.
Is it OP?: Low physical bulk leaves it open to -atespeed mons and strong priority in general.
Sample Set(s):
Naganadel @ Choice Specs
Ability: Corrosion
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Draco Meteor / Clanging Scales
- Earth Power
- Volt Switch

Naganadel @ Life Orb
Ability: Dazzling
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Clanging Scales
- Shell Smash
- Earth Power

Feedback appreciated because I'm not very good at BH.

Corrosion
Effect: This Pokemon can hit Steel types with Poison-type moves. This Pokemon can poison or badly poison other Pokemon regardless of their typing.
Competitive Use: Allows Poison-type attackers to spam their STAB without worrying about having to run coverage for Steel pokemon.
Is It OP?: The ability is really only useful on poison-type pokemon because poison coverage is bad, and some pokemon would prefer to use an ability that directly boosts their power. It also has a more niche use as a way to badly poison almost any pokemon.
Likely users: Naganadel, Mega Beedrill, Mega Gengar?

Move Name: Putrefaction
Category: Special
Power: 110
Accuracy: 80%
PPs: 5 (Max 8)
Effect: 100% chance to induce Heal Block effect. Can't miss if the target has full health.
Z-Effect: 185 BP

Competitive Use: As far as I know, stall is quite a big deal in balanced pokemon, with bulky pokemons like Giratina, Zygod and Fur Coat Chansey running rampant. This move would give another tool to stallbreaker to help get past the bulkiest walls by being strong and disruptive at the same time. It also greatly helps against Triage and PH.
Is it broken? RegenVest doesn't care the slightest about this move. Also, running hazards somewhat invalidade this move, since 80% accuracy is not great.
Likely Users: Naganadel, Gengar-Mega, some other fast wallbreakers.

Since everyone who subbed also voted, I'll end the voting phase here.

Zovrah's Muk-Alola buff, Chessking345's Naganadel buff, and Chessking345's Corrosive Acid wins this slate! Spreadsheet will be out soon.

Slate 2: Group-based Buff

The Tapus are very centralizing in OU and some other OMs, but find very little use in BH due to their low base stats and general lack of offensive or defensive presence. Let's change that by giving the Tapus a nice buff.

They all will have a maximum BST of 630, and a recommended, but not required, guideline is that their base stats can be rearranged to make the stats of the other tapus.

Additionally, I'd like to modify the corresponding seeds so that they become more relevant. They can either be one-time-use, or signature to the tapu (i.e. cannot be knocked off, can only benefit when used by it).

This slate will end on Sunday at 8pm.

Another thing I would like discussion on is how often we should playtest and have discussions on the current meta. With mons being buffed constantly, I want to make sure that the meta is still balanced, especially since this is based off of an OM and is therefore competitively-focused.

tapu bulu
stats:
hp: 70 (unchanged)
atk: 160 (+30)
def: 130 (+15)
spa: 85 (unchanged)
spd: 105 (+10)
spe: 80 (+5)

i wasn't sure what to do with bulu because obviously he's geared toward a more physical offensive but bulky role, and that's pretty cool in bh because we don't really have any physically offensive grass or fairy types (kart/diancie don't really count) but at the same time it doesn't seem that good if running a cb claws set. enter poison heal, the ability that makes everything better.

Tapu Bulu @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shift Gear
- Play Rough
- Close Combat / Thousand Arrows
- Wood Hammer / filler (rocks?)

bulu is an interesting mon because he's a grass type that can break giratina, even 2hkoing with play rough from this set:

252+ Atk Tapu Bulu Play Rough vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Giratina: 240-284 (47.7 - 56.4%) -- 84.4% chance to 2HKO

the buffs to defense and spdef help it live common super effective moves:

252 SpA Dialga Revelation Dance vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Tapu Bulu: 252-296 (73.2 - 86%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Rayquaza-Mega Oblivion Wing vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Tapu Bulu: 254-302 (73.8 - 87.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252+ Atk Tapu Bulu Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Rayquaza-Mega: 446-528 (107.7 - 127.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

he can also use his typing to take advantage of stuff like regenvest ogre.

is it broken? not even close lol, its bulk is still only average and play rough is just not a good move. at all.

tapu koko
stats:
hp: 70 (unchanged)
atk: 150 (+35)
def: 75 (-10)
spa: 135 (+40)
spd: 65 (-10)
spe: 135 (+5)

Tapu Koko @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Bolt Strike
- Boomburst
- Extreme Speed
- Stealth Rock

Tapu Koko @ Magnet / Expert Belt
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Bolt Strike
- Fleur Cannon
- Sunsteel Strike
- Volt Switch

koko is a fast, potentially mixed attacker that takes advantage of its good stabs to wreak havoc. the pixilate set is like mega diancie's, but with the benefits of stab bolt strike and a higher speed tier, which helps it outpace dazzling mmx and knock it out. however, it does struggle to get kos with only 135 base spa. the adapt set focuses more on wallbreaking, ohkoing gengar after rocks with magnet bolt strike and volt switching around on guys that try to come in.

is it broken? no way man, we have tons of more broken things in the meta already.

tapu lele
stats:
hp: 105 (+35)
atk: 75 (-15)
def: 105 (+30)
spa: 140 (+10)
spd: 115 (unchanged)
spe: 95 (unchanged)

Tapu Lele @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Recover
- Core Enforcer
- Lava Plume

Tapu Lele @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Mind Blown
- Light of Ruin
- Psystrike
- Shell Smash

giving lele physical bulk is pretty much necessary because unless you completely rearrange its stats to give it 130 speed or something, it's just a worse mega garde outside that. thanks to its typing, lele is a great counter to all mmx without sunsteel, and it might also be able to run a viable soundproof set to handle ates. the special attack buff is small but kinda important, it helps lele threaten more with its fairy moves.

is it broken? uhh maybe, ph xern is a set and you could just run it on this too to get the same result except it lives anchor shot better lol. that might actually be bad news for this meta

tapu fini
stats:
hp: 100 (+30)
atk: 70 (-5)
def: 115 (unchanged)
spa: 100 (+5)
spd: 130 (unchanged)
spe: 115 (+30)

2/24 (Tapu Fini) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Scald
- Moonblast
- Stealth Rock

Tapu Fini @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Revelation Dance
- Moonblast / Ice Beam
- Spectral Thief

fini was obviously pretty much fixed as a wall by adding more hp, so i decided to use some of the other boosts to make it into something unique: a fast wall. we don't really see these in bh at all, because for the most part the 90- speed ones are just better, plus they get the slow uturns. a toxic orb set with taunt/rocks could potentially be a huge pain for many teams to deal with, while regenvest has a few things over ogre, like a uturn resistance and a core immunity.

is it broken? no way man if you think it is then you haven't been playing this meta long enough

here's my proposal for seeds: they activate the same way they did before, except their effect is changed to this: gives a +1 boost to the mon's highest stat, and the item is never consumed (although it only activates once per switchin). i think this is fair; it doesn't give the mon the power to completely beat teams up, but it isn't just a trash mechanic shut down forever by prankster haze. this will help dedicated terrain teams rise to power, at least to some extent, i think.

discussions/playtesting
after we get the first few slates done so we have a reasonable chunk of new additions to the meta, i think there should sometimes be no slate, and have the time be used instead for meta discussion. you could even have like a round robin tournament or something during this week, so the teams people build see some use.

Tapu Bulu
Stats: 100/140/130/80/110/70
Summary of Changes: +30 HP, +10 Atk, +15 Def, -5 SpA, +15 SpD, -5 Spe
Competitive Use: Tapu Bulu becomes much bulkier, being able to better take on physical hits from mons like Mewtwo-Mega X, Groudon-Primal (using Flash Fire) and Garchomp-Mega.
Is it OP?: Its weaknesses still make it lackluster and its Special Defense is only decent.
Sample Set(s):
Regenvest (Tapu Bulu) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Horn Leech
- Nature's Madness
- Rapid Spin
- U-turn

Tapu Koko
Stats: 100/130/70/110/80/140
Summary of Changes: +30 HP, +15 Atk, -15 Def, +15 SpA, +5 SpD, +10 Spe
Competitive Use: Tapu Koko is an effective revenge killer thanks to its great speed and access to a good STAB synergy.
Is it OP?: Its defenses are lacking, making it weak to Extreme Speed and tanks that have powerful STABs, such as Groudon-Primal.
Sample Set(s):
Wallbreaker (Tapu Koko) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bolt Strike
- Play Rough
- Icicle Crash
- Sacred Fire

Pixilate (Tapu Koko) @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Pixilate
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly / Naive Nature
- Bolt Strike
- Extreme Speed
- Precipice Blades
- Fake Out / Boomburst

Galvanize (Tapu Koko) @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Galvanize
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Extreme Speed / Frustration
- Judgement
- Boomburst
- Shell Smash

Tapu Lele
Stats: 100/70/110/140/130/80
Summary of Changes: +30 HP, -15 Atk, +35 Def, +10 SpA, +15 SpD, -15 Spe
Competitive Use: Tapu Lele also gains a lot of physical bulk, perfect for using with Poison Heal, Regenerator, or Tinted Lens.
Is it OP?: Wallbreaking sets are let down by its bad speed, and setup sets are let down by its weakness to support moves such as Spectral Thief and Anchor Shot.
Sample Set(s):

Poison Heal (Tapu Lele) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Magma Storm / Earth Power / Photon Geyser / Lava Plume
- Quiver Dance
- Lovely Kiss / Spore / Spikes / Photon Geyser

Wallbreaker (Tapu Lele) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Tinted Lens / Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psystrike / Photon Geyser
- Psycho Boost
- Moonblast / Fleur Cannon
- Earth Power / Blue Flare / Secret Sword

Tapu Fini
Stats: 100/80/110/140/130/70
Summary of Changes: +30 HP, +5 Atk, -5 Def, +45 SpA, +10 SpD, -15 Spe
Competitive Use: Tapu Fini is now much more bulky mixed-wise, and can take on neutral physical hits better than usual. It has more of an edge over Kyogre-Primal due to its high Defense stat.
Is it OP?: This could possibly be problematic due to its bulk and typing, but I'm not sure of a way to balance it without changing its stats (which I might do if I can't find any other way to do it)
Sample Set(s):
Defensive (Tapu Fini) @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Scald / Spectral Thief
- Moonblast
- Shore Up
- U-turn

Regenvest (Tapu Fini) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Core Enforcer / Spectral Thief / Scald
- Moonblast
- Rapid Spin / Nuzzle / Poison Fang
- U-turn

Grassy Seed
Effect: Boosts the holder's Defense by 25%.
Pokemon Restrictions (if any): Tapu Bulu
Electric Seed
Effect: Boosts the holder's Speed by 25%.
Pokemon Restrictions (if any): Tapu Koko
Psychic Seed
Effect: Boosts the holder's Special Attack by 25%.
Pokemon Restrictions (if any): Tapu Lele
Misty Seed
Effect: Boosts the holder's Special Defense by 25%.
Pokemon Restrictions (if any): Tapu Fini
Competitive Use: They provide an item which cannot be Knocked off or Tricked, as well as a useful boost.
Is It OP?: They provide half the boosts as items such as Choice Scarf, Choice Specs, and Soul Dew, but could possibly be broken. Playtesting will tell.
Likely users: tapus lol

As for meta discussion, I like Gurpreet's suggestion on taking breaks from slates and playing some games to feel out the meta. I can plan on doing this every 2 or 3 slates, starting right after this one.

Stats: 90 / 150 / 135 / 85 / 105 / 75
Summary of Changes: +20 HP, +20 Atk, +20 Def, -10 SpA, +10 SpD
Competitive Use: With good bulk and high attack, Tapu Bulu can effectively use Assault Vest or Choice Band sets.
Is it OP?: Grass/Fairy isn't very great offensively and a mediocre speed forces slightly more defensive sets.
Sample Set(s):

Tapu Bulu @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Horn Leech
- U-turn
- Rapid Spin
- Spectral Thief

Tapu Bulu @ Choice Band

Tapu Fini
Stats: 105 / 75 / 135 / 90 / 150 / 85
Summary of Changes: +35 HP, +20 Def, -5 SpA, +20 SpD
Competitive Use: Insane bulk and good defensive typing make Tapu Fini the perfect wall. Luckily, a low 90 SpA leaves it relatively passive.
Is it OP?: It is vulnerable to Taunt. This might be too much honestly, let me know if you think it is.
Sample Set(s):

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Scald
- Shore Up
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock / Defog

Tapu Koko
Stats: 75 / 135 / 90 / 105 / 85 / 150
Summary of Changes: +5 HP, +20 Atk, +5 Def, +10 SpA, +10 SpD, +20 Spe
Competitive Use: A very fast physical attacker with good attack and good typing.
Is it OP?: Low defenses leave it vulnerable to strong priority.
Sample Set(s):

Tapu Koko @ Choice Band
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature

Summary of Changes: +5 HP, +5 Atk, +10 Def, +20 SpA, -10 SpD, +30 Spe
Competitive Use: A powerful special attacker with a good special defense and great offensive type combo.
Is it OP?: I think it will be a little outclassed by Mega Diancie or MMY.
Sample Set(s):

Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe

Tapu Bulu
Stats: 90 / 135 / 140 / 65 / 120 / 80
Summary of Changes: +20 HP, +5 Atk, +25 Def, -20 SpA, +25 SpD, +5 Spe
Competitive Use:
Excellent bulk along with typing makes it great answer to Chomp, Zekrom, POgre, with FF: Scept, PDon, some Contrary Ray. Speed tier underspeeds the 90s which is nice but it can also run investment to outspeed standard tina to hit it hard with Play Rough. Grass is a good typing and makes it one of the only Ground resists. Immune to spore is also good.
Is it OP?: Weak to common types like Flying, Ice, Steel, and 4x weak to Poison is bad and weak to strong wallbreakers like mewtwos.
Sample Set(s):
Tapu Bulu @ Leftovers

- Thousand Arrows / V-create / Precipice Blades
- Shift Gear

Tapu Fini
Stats: 90 / 65 / 135 / 80 / 140 / 120
Summary of Changes: +20 HP, -10 Atk, +20 Def, -15 SpA, +10 SpD, +35 Spe
Competitive Use:
Very solid bulk and a great typing lets it run a variety of sets. Excellent speed encourages max speed similar to Arceus which outruns Ray, Diancie, etc. Misty Surge is a solid ability and seed makes it good. Immunity to Core Enforcer along with STAB Scald also makes PH pretty solid.
Is it OP?: Probably not, lower special bulk than Kyogre and speed is really fast but spa is weak to do much (Moonblast doesn't 2hko ray most of the time).
Sample Set(s):
Tapu Fini @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

- Shore Up
- Core Enforcer / Ice Beam
- Spectral Thief / Topsy Turvy

Tapu Koko
Stats: 90 / 120 / 65 / 135 / 80 / 140
Summary of Changes: +20 HP, +5 Atk, -20 Def, +40 SpA, +5 SpD, +10 Spe
Competitive Use:
Galvanize and Pixilate both could see play, the former with Zap Plate 2HKOs Sassy Registeel with Boom while Pixi can rk mmx and ray. Electric surge is viable too with seed and maybe Sheer Force?
Is it OP?: Really low offensive stats means it will be similar to Phero but it has strong STABs with galv or pixi. Garbage physical bulk leaves prone to priority. Struggles against ferro and megalix.
Sample Set(s):
Tapu Koko @ Zap Plate / Pixie Plate
Ability: Galvanize / Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe

Tapu Lele

Summary of Changes: +20 HP, -5 Atk, +45 Def, +10 SpA, +20 SpD, -30 Spe
Competitive Use:
To differentiate from mega gardevoir, it has great bulk and special attack, similar to xern can run ph or run defensive utility sets.
Is it OP?: Weak to ghost, steel, poison are all bad. Speed is horrendous and doesn't even outspeed MMX at +1. Faces competition from MMY and Xern.
Sample Set(s):
Tapu Lele @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe

Grassy Seed
Effect: If the terrain is Grassy Terrain, raises holder's Attack and Defense by 1 stage. Single-use. If held by Tapu Bulu, this item is not consumed and cannot be removed.
Pokemon Restrictions (if any): Tapu Bulu
Misty Seed
Effect: If the terrain is Misty Terrain, raises holder's Defense and Special Defense by 1 stage. Single-use. If held by Tapu Fini, this item is not consumed and cannot be removed.
Pokemon Restrictions (if any): Tapu Fini
Electric Seed
Effect: If the terrain is Electric Terrain, raises holder's Attack and Special Attack by 1 stage. Single-use. If held by Tapu Koko, this item is not consumed and cannot be removed.
Pokemon Restrictions (if any): Tapu Koko
Psychic Seed
Effect: If the terrain is Psychic Terrain, raises holder's Special Attack and Special Defense by 1 stage. Single-use. If held by Tapu Lele, this item is not consumed and cannot be removed.
Pokemon Restrictions (if any): Tapu Lele

Competitive Use: They provide an item which cannot be Knocked off or Tricked, as well as a very powerful boost that rivals ORAS Soul Dew, but it can only be used with Surge abilities and the stat boosts can be stolen.
Is It OP?: Strong stat boost and instantaneous which allow for boost when switch-in, Surges aren't bad except Psysurge is banned, Spectral Thief and Haze and Topsy are all very common and Imposter can take advantage, but could possibly be broken. Playtesting will tell.
Likely users: Tapus, not lele
NOT FINISHED

BIG EDIT: K so i see these as a small self contained terrain so if its possible, the defense boosts would be ignored by moldy but NOT the terrain effects. Otherwise, moldy ignores all the shit.
Grassy Armor
Effect: Same effects as grassy terrain, but only for the user. Raises spd by 20% Dispels in the face of other terrain
Competitive Use: Idk probably not much, Small defensive boost in terrain that likely won't matter too much. Bulu gets some extra spd without running vest so thats cool.
Is It OP?: Hahaha
Likely users:Tapu Bulu, Venusaur-M(?)

Mist Cloak
Effect: Same as Misty Terrain, but only for the user. Raises Def by 20%. Dispels in the face of other terrains.
Competitive Use: Fini/Aud and anything else now has comatose with a bulk boost.
Is It OP?: Honestly could be. Any wall now has higher defense and complete status immunity.
Likely users:Audino, Giratina, Tapu Fini

Static Robe
Effect: Same effects as electric terrain, but only on the user. Raises Atk by 20%. Dispels against other terrains.
Competitive Use: No sleep, boosted electric moves and slightly higher attack.
Is It OP?: Zekrom has a really strong bomb strike and thats bout it so.
Likely users:Tapu Koko, Zekrom, Zeraora

won't bother making a Psysurge variant since thats banned anyway. I was pressured to make a sub(imavictimofabuse) and this is it.

I do have a non slate related sub though.

Assault Jacket(Idc you come up with a better name)
Effect: Raises the pokemon's defense by 50%. Cannot use status moves.
Pokemon Restrictions (if any): hahaha
Competitive Use: its like fur coat but worse. Could be a nice deal on regen mons with low defense (Ho-Oh maybe? Ogre too). Mostly exists so there is a physical vest counterpart
Is It OP?: Probs not.
Likely users: Ho-Oh, Ogre, Mmy(contra with extra defense? loses spore though)

kk cya.
