PU Mudsdale

Mudsdale @ Figy Berry / Leftovers
Ability: Stamina
EVs: 252 HP / 132 Def / 124 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Rock Slide / Protect

Mudsdale has become PU's most popular Stealth Rock setter thanks to its phenomenal defensive attributes that allow it to serve as a stop to attackers such as Lycanroc and Aggron while having a solid matchup against entry hazard removers like Alolan Sandslash and Skuntank. Mudsdale also benefits from its high Attack stat, making it considerably less passive than other Stealth Rock setters like Regirock and Ferroseed while being able to pressure frailer Pokemon in conjunction with Stealth Rock. While it lacks reliable recovery, Mudsdale can make use of its ability Stamina and decent item options to punish moves like Kangaskhan's Fake Out in order to gain a Defense boost, withstand more physical attacks, and even activate Figy Berry. However, Mudsdale's average Special Defense and common weaknesses in Ice, Grass, and Water make it vulnerable to attackers such as Rotom-F, Floatzel, and Victreebel, so it pairs nicely with teammates that can check these threats like Lanturn, Jellicent, and Cryogonal.

Mudsdale has become PU's most popular Stealth Rock setter thanks to its phenomenal defensive attributes that allow it to serve as a stop to attackers like Aggron and Lycanroc (mention lycanroc first, aggron isnt very common anymore) while having a solid matchup against entry hazard removers such as Alolan Sandslash and Skuntank. Mudsdale also benefits from its high Attack stat, making it considerably less passive than other Stealth Rock setters like Regirock (maybe mention ferro) while being able to pressure frailer Pokemon in conjunction with Stealth Rock. While it lacks reliable recovery, Mudsdale can make use of Stamina and its decent item options to punish moves like Kangaskhan's Fake Out in order to gain a Defense boost, withstand more physical attacks, and even activate Figy Berry.
