Big Multifaction Recruitment Mafia 2 - Freelancer Boogaloo - Game Over, Freelancers + Electric + DBD Win

Game is really rough. With a smaller group of players, we've had a ton of stress placed onto a few individuals to sort through the massive rules of this game. All the while, game has felt really discouraging to mafia given how absolutely bonkers aspects feel and how little leverage we had over people like Shiftry or Fire.

So this isn't being made at peak strategy, the remaining active grass folks feel really burnt out and exhausted (and absolutely no hard feelings to the grass folks who weren't able to be active, I genuinely felt bad recruiting people because I recognized how absurdly difficult it was to be on mafia this game). So sorry we couldn't be proper adversaries to freelancers. Our strategy at this point is more of a hail mary, but we decided to at least attempt something rather than forfeit. My health has honestly been terrible recently, unfortunately mostly from the stress of this game. So at least let it be over quick.

Shockingly, you find that the game isn't quite over.

Though it is for some of you. Skippergamez, aka Boston, is killed at blazing speed by a Solar Beam.

This counts as a boosting passive, so if anyone ever Baton Passes into your <Alias>, then they will gain the benefits of Speed Boost (you will still passively receive the benefit in your new <Alias>).

You are allied with the Freelancers. You win if you eliminate the Grass and Water factions.

Whatever you most recently submitted for your Primary ability will be what you are automatically resolved as on inspection. This is resolved instantaneously on submission. You are treated as ‘Framed’ for all ability purposes at all times.

If your primary ability tricks an enemy inspection or starting Cycle 3 (whichever comes first), you will gain access to Bitter Malice every other cycle. To use this, submit “CX - Bitter Malice <Alias>”. You will give <Alias> the Frostbite status. If <Alias> is already afflicted with Frostbite, then you will accelerate their turn counter towards death by 1. You are immune to Frostbite.

Additionally, if the Freelancers ever acquire the Aspect of Vengeance and at least one other Aspect, then you will gain the ability to use Bitter Malice an additional time per two cycles. If you have unlocked both this and the enemy inspection trick upgrade, then you will simply have a single every cycle Bitter Malice ability (rather than two separate every other cycle abilities).

You all let out a collective gasp that this was not Meowstic of any variety.

Then, poor Aura Guardian aka Trenton is frozen solid with frostbite. It seems the neutral alliance dream is dead.

Finally, you all get set to count the votes. And yet...there's one more death to be accounted for. Rssp1 has bitten the dust by using one last Healing Wish.

Additionally, once during the game, you may submit “CX - Healing Wish <Alias>”. <Alias> must be a dead member of your current team as of action use. <Alias> will be revived into your alias slot, and you will die. Your alias will be redacted in the public PM reveal. Speed Tier: 1.

Finally, you have the passive ability Magic Guard. This makes you immune to all negative actions outside of kills. Notably, this will not impact status afflictions aside from sleep (as these function as delayed kills) or recruitment (as this is not considered a negative action).

It seems that A Fairy, the Zapdos role, has replaced Rssp1 in whatever alias he previously had.

And thus it was time to count the votes...and it is a tie between Olympia and Jackson. Unfortunately for the representatives from the Grass faction, that was when Pidge, aka Gengar, snuck into the voting booth and broke the tie, cackling all the while. As such, Not Adam Lol aka Olympia dies.

And then there were only four of you left - Former on one side, against Yeti, A Fairy, and Bluedoom on the other.

It is now Cycle 9. Cycle 9 will end when I get all actions in. Say 21 hours / 9 PM PST on Tuesday, December 24th as a final deadline.
