My First UU Team

This is the first proper team i have ever made, i started playing three weeks ago and i know this team isnt the best so i would like as much advice/criticism as possible

dpfba031.png

Nidoqueen @ Lum Berry
Ability: Poison Point
EVs: 252 HP/200 Def/12 SpD/44 Spe
Nature: Bold
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power

This thing is Purely Amazing, it almost never dies, this thing can survive alot while Setting up rocks and stopping slower pokemon from setting up, Defense EVs make it strong enough to Survive 2 Earthquakes from a Scarfed Primeape and 2 Leaf Storms from a Scarfed Venusaur

dpfba229.png

Houndoom @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
Hasty Nature
EVs: 156 Atk/128 SAtk/224 Spe
~Pursuit
~Sucker Punch
~Fire Blast
~Dark Pulse

This is Dekzeh's Houndoom from his RMT, it has Enough EVs to OHKO Steelix with Fire Blast, Dark Pulse over Crunch for Better Damage on Slowbro. With these Speed EVs it Outspeed Rotoms, i use this pokemon to get rid of Ghost's Like Mismagius and Rotom with Pursuit. if they dont switch on the first turn they are not going to on the second turn because of Pursuit so i will use Sucker Punch/Dark Pulse(Dark Pulse if im Faster and Sucker Punch if they are faster)

dpfba254.png

Sceptile @ Choice Specs
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 SpA/252 Spe(im not sure were the last 4 EVs are)
Nature: Timid
- Energy Ball
- Leaf Storm
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power{Ice}

My Most Useful pokemon, Specs Leaf Storm does alot of damage even if they Resist, HP Ice is for Dragons while Focus Blast is for Fire Types who try and switch in. Energy Ball is for late game so i dont have to switch as much. Leaf Storm Always 2HKOs Spiritomb after Stealth Rocks, was thinking about getting a new Sceptile with a different moveset: Leaf Storm, Focus Blast, Dragonpulse and HP{Electric} Which would be better my current one or the moveset i just listed?

dpmba481.png

Mesprit @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/124 Def/36 SpA/96 SpD
Nature: Bold
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- U-Turn

This is the Anti-Sweeper set, it comes in on Psychic or Fighting Attacks. Not many people expect a Mesprite to be Bulky and do damage at the same time. this is the main counter to pokemon who have Priority. Its my only pokemon with an Electric type attack so i try and keep it hidden untill the last couple of pokemon then i bring it out and sweep

dpfba184.png

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Hugh Power
EVs: 240 HP/252 Atk/16 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Superpower
- Double Edge

This thing is absolutely Amazing, Normally Aqua Jet against stuff faster then me. if im predicting a switch i will use Waterfall or Superpower, Double Edge is for Grass and Poison pokemon like Venusaur and other pokemon who switch in thinking they can wall me. im thinking about switching Choice Band to Muscle Band because i keep getting walled by ghost's and fire type pokemon when i over/under predict

dpfba442.png

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/140 Atk/116 SpD
Nature: Careful
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

The Ultimate Utility Pokemon for my Team, it switches into a Psychic or Fighting type move and Attack or Disable. Pursuit normally goes first to stop them from attempting to switch then Sucker Punch on the 2nd turn for the kill, Not many people expect Spiritomb to have both Sucker Punch and Pursuit

Please give as much Criticism as Possible, i am willing to switch all the pokemon out for better pokemon

Nidoqueen-I am wondering what you are outspeeding with those 44 Spe EVs on Nidoqueen. I personally would put those in a defense stat and opt for toxic spikes over taunt.

Houndoom-Houndoom is good except for the fact that you have 3 dark moves. I know they all have a reason to be used(pursuit for switches, sucker punch for priority, dark pulse for strength and a special move), but that can be overkill.

Sceptile-Your second moveset for Sceptile is much better. The only dragon in UU is Altaria, so unless you are using this in OU, you Dragon Pulse instead of HP Ice. Focus Blast for steels. HP Electric for all the Water/Flyings. Yep, second moveset is better.

Mesprit-I would also move those minimal 36 Sp.Att EVs on Mesprit into a defense. The boost of 9 points is small, unless you tell me what those 9 points helps kill.

Azumarill-For Azumarill, the 16 Spe EVs are largely unneccesary with Aqua Jet. As for the item, Leftovers could help have it stay in the match longer with it's natural bulkiness. I guess Muscle Band has it's uses, but I would wait for another person for their opinion.

Spiritomb-I would recommend no Attack or Sp.Att EVs, just for more bulkiness. Spiritomb needs all the Defense it can get if you are using it for utility. If you must have some attack power, move them into Sp.Att and choose Dark Pulse. Overall, I would recommend for utility-esque moves such as Icy Wind, Destiny Bond, Taunt, Memento, Hidden Power, Torment, Swagger, and/or Snatch. Some of these moves have limited use, but they are the best Spiritomb has for them.

On Azumarill...what exactly are you keeping Superpower for? Registeel is pretty much the only Pokemon who Azumarill would hit with that.

Ice Punch functions better because with proper prediction you score 2x damage on Tangrowth and the ever-present Venusaur.

Nidoqueen-The Reason i have those EVs it to Outspeed Lead Venusaur's that have 4 Speed EVs, With those EVs and a Lum Berry i can 2HKO it with out taking any damage(Assuming it uses Sleep Power or another status on the first turn) and i dont think Toxic Spikes will help my team much, my team are all attackers

Houndoom-i might change this to a Pure Physical Arcanine, could you please say which is better? also if Arcanine is better could you post a good EV Spread and moveset for it

Sceptile-Which Hidden Power would be better for my second moveset? Fire, Electric or Water?

Mesprit-How does this EV Spread sound? 252 HP/124 Def/116 SpD/16 Spe, with those speed EVs it can Outspeed Neutral Natured Milotic with 4 Speed EVs

Azumarill-Should i put the EVs in Def or SpD? this Azumarill is already strong enough to survive a Grass Knot from Ludicolo and OHKO it with Double Edge/Superpower

Spiritomb-The Reason i have the Attack EVs is just because i just took the Spread from this site, i might look for an editor to change them since i checked the site and it says it needs those attack evs so it can have a slight chance to OHKO Azelf

Azumarill has Superpower for Normal Types like Tauros and Raticate, would it be better to replace Superpower/Double Edge with Ice Punch? if so which would be better to replace?

Your nidoqueen is pretty good. I dont suggest toxic spikes over taunt because if the other poke is poisoned and they predict the WoW from Spiritomb, it would give them a free switch in.

Milotic or Lanturn or Mantine is a counter to your team. They all can surf Houndoom and Nidoqueen to death. Can take a hit from Mesprit and Sceptile. Lanturn can predict a T-Bolt and come in getting free Hp. They all have big SpeD stats and Hp. Milotic and Lanturn can HP electric and T-Bolt respectively kill Azumarril when its locked on Waterfall/Aqua Jet.

Spiritomb should run a 252 Hp, 220 Defense, 36 SpeA or Attack. Ev spread. It gives you enough bulk and some power. Change pursuit with Taunt or Shadow Sneak. Shadow sneak gives you priority and taunt stops Nasty Plot Houndoom from setting up on you and stops status and set ups in general.

Switch Mesprit with Gardevoir. Gardevoir has a much higher SpeA stat and has a higher SpeD stat. Spiritomb with the Ev spread i suggested can take more physical hits now. I suggest a CM gardevoir or a support gardevoir.

gardevioir@leftovers
Modest 252 Hp, 48 SpeA, 176 SpeD, 32 speed.

Wish
Will o Wisp/Thunder Wave
Psychic
Thunder Bolt

or CM set

Gardevoir@leftovers
252 SpeA, 192 Speed, 50 Hp, 14 SpeD

Calm Mind
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Wish/Will o Wisp/Thunder wave

On Gardevoir sets i think you should run T-Wave over WoW because you've already got a Wow-er which is Spiritomb. But if your paranoid that some physical sweeper might sweep you when your setting up CM's you can opt for WoW.

Overall you have a terrific UU team.

I would go with HP Electric on Sceptile.
Mesprit is good and a very good mixed wall. So think about that if you switch to Gardevoir. You get more Special, but less Physical.
I guess I forgot about Venusaur with Roserade going up a tier.

Spiritomb: This is an UU team. You shouldn't have to worry about Azelf. Also, what I recommended is because you have plenty of attack elsewhere on your team. Dark Pulse is more reliable as well. To me, your Spiritomb needs defense. Try this maybe?

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/6 Def/252 SpD
Nature: Careful
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

If you don't like the EV spread, try 140 Def and 116 Sp.Def

The Reason that half my team has Aqua Jet/Sucker Punch is because the first 3 fights i played i got swept by a fast pokemon that nothing could outspeed, since my team is pretty slow i just pack Priority on everything
