Moves
========

Psychic is a respectable STAB attack with good neutral coverage outside of Dark- and Steel-types that allows Celebi to beat common Pokemon like Tentacruel, Amoonguss, and Heracross. Giga Drain is used over other Grass-type attacks thanks to its ability to restore Celebi's HP and keep it healthier against residual damage from hazards or status. Dazzling Gleam is primarily used to beat Hydreigon, which would otherwise wall this set with ease. Earth Power is an option that allows Celebi to break past certain Steel-types much more easily and should only be used alongside Groundium Z.

Set Details
========

Psychium Z transforms Psychic into a very powerful attack that allows Celebi to blow past Pokemon like Togekiss, Gligar, and Rotom-H at +2. Natural Cure prevents Celebi from being permanently vulnerable to status, giving it more chances to set up or act as a status absorber and pivot throughout the game. Groundium Z allows Celebi to nuke Steel-types that would normally check it, such as Mega Aggron, Bisharp, and Doublade, as well as other less common answers like Alolan Muk while retaining great neutral coverage with its STAB attacks.

Usage Tips
========

Celebi should aim to set up against Pokemon that cannot do much against it thanks to its typing and Natural Cure, such as Hippowdon, Empoleon, and Suicune. Do not set up if Celebi's checks, such as Mega Aggron and Bronzong, have not been worn down, as this can give the opponent momentum or free turns. Celebi's offensive presence causes many switches, especially against passive Pokemon; take advantage of these forced switches to double switch to Pokemon that can directly threaten the opponent's answers to Celebi. Make sure to scout for a Choice Scarf set against slower Pokemon such as Hydreigon and Togekiss that Celebi could otherwise beat one-on-one. Use Natural Cure's benefit liberally against defensively oriented teams that depend on status or other passive damage to deal with setup sweepers. After a Nasty Plot, Celebi can dent opposing teams and heal off most residual damage via Giga Drain. Similarly, Shattered Psyche is immensely powerful at +2 and allows Celebi to muscle through certain Steel-types like Scizor with prior damage. Use this to your advantage when setting up if Celebi's checks have been worn down. Celebi can also be used as a status absorber and pivot throughout the match versus Pokemon that could otherwise be annoying for the rest of the team to switch into, such as Amoonguss and Alomomola.

Team Options
========

Celebi fits best on bulky offense and balance builds but can be used on any archetype outside of hyper offense and stall with the proper team support. Pursuit trappers such as Mega Aerodactyl, Scizor, and Krookodile can remove Latias, which is one of this set's hardest counters because it can beat Celebi with Calm Mind and Roost. Scizor deserves a special mention due to its ability to bring in Celebi with U-turn and weaken specially defensive Pokemon like Blissey and Bronzong for Celebi. Faster Pokemon like Mega Aerodactyl, Latias, and Nihilego can beat Celebi with their STAB moves, so it is imperative to have ways of handling them on the team. Strong priority like Scizor's Bullet Punch and Bisharp's Sucker Punch as well as Choice Scarf users like Hydreigon can help revenge kill most faster Pokemon that threaten Celebi. Pokemon that pressure Steel-types like Kommo-o, Mienshao, Infernape, and Moltres can give Celebi an easier chance to sweep late-game and simultaneously threaten a lot of specially defensive Pokemon. Fairy-type teammates are extremely beneficial to help check the Dark-types that can beat this set, such as Bisharp, Choice Scarf Hydreigon, and Mega Sharpedo. Mega Altaria and Primarina can usually beat these Pokemon one-on-one but should be careful of switching into them. Answers for powerful Flying-types such as Moltres and Mega Pidgeot that can OHKO Celebi are necessary. Mega Aerodactyl can outspeed and threaten every Flying-type with Stone Edge, while Rotom-H can handle most Flying-types with the exception of Mega Aerodactyl and spread status against opposing Dragon-types that switch into it. Justified users, primarily Terrakion and Cobalion, are helpful partners because they can gain free turns or a potential Attack boost if Celebi is Pursuit trapped or attempted to be revenge killed by Dark-types.

  • Psychic is a respectable STAB attack with good neutral coverage outside of Dark- and Steel-types that allows Celebi to beat some common Pokemon in the tier like Kommo-o, Tentacruel, and Amoonguss. (Psychic doesn't OHKO Kommo-o and you beat it with dgleam anyways, im sure there's a better example that could be used here. Maybe Heracross or Nidoking).
  • Giga Drain is used over other Grass-type attacks thanks to its ability to restore Celebi's HP and keep it healthier against residual damage from hazards or status.
  • Dazzling Gleam is primarily used to beat Hydreigon which would otherwise wall this set with ease.

Set Details

  • Psychium Z transforms Psychic into a very powerful attack that allows Celebi to blow past Pokemon like Togekiss, Gligar, and Rotom-H at +2.
  • Natural Cure prevents Celebi from being permanently prone to status, giving it more chances to set up or act as a status absorber and pivot throughout the game.

Usage Tips
========
  • Celebi should aim to set up against Pokemon that cannot do much against it, such as Hippowdon, Empoleon, and Suicune, thanks to its typing and Natural Cure.
  • Do not set up if Celebi's checks, such as Scizor and Bronzong, have not been worn down, as this can give the opponent momentum or free turns. (+2 Psychium Z actually just nukes tf out of Scizor. Replace that for Maggron).
  • Celebi's offensive presence causes many switches, especially against passive Pokemon; take advantage of these forced switches to double into Pokemon that can directly threaten the opponent's answers to Celebi.
  • Make sure to scout for a Choice Scarf set against slower Pokemon such as Hydreigon and Togekiss that Celebi could otherwise beat one-on-one.
  • Use Natural Cure's benefit liberally against defensive oriented teams that depend on status or other passive damage to deal with setup sweeper. After a Nasty Plot, Celebi can dent opposing teams and heal off most residual damage via Giga Drain.
  • Similarly, Celebi can be used as a status absorber and pivot versus Pokemon that could otherwise be annoying for the rest of the team to switch into, such as Amoonguss and Alomomola.
  • (Mention how Psychium Z at +2 can be used to muscle through some of Celebi's checks such as the aforementioned Scizor and other steels after chip).
Team Options

  • Pursuit trappers such as Mega Aerodactyl, Scizor, and Krookodile can remove Latias, one of this set's hardest counters as it can beat Celebi with Calm Mind and Roost.
  • Scizor deserves a special mention due to its ability to bring in Celebi with U-turn and weaken down specially defensive Pokemon like Blissey and Bronzong for Celebi.
  • Faster Pokemon like Latias, Infernape, and Nihilego can beat Celebi with their STAB moves, so it is imperative to have ways of handling them on the team. (Give examples of how to deal with these faster threats. Also change Lati out for maybe Maero since Lati is already covered in the pursuit point).
  • Fighting-types like Kommo-o, Cobalion, and Mienshao can pressure the Steel-types that this set struggles with while simultaneously pressuring specially defensive Pokemon for Celebi. (This point is good but fighting types aren't the only things that can pressure steels, you can probably change this point to just "Pokémon that can pressure steels such as..." Infernape and Moltres should be other examples worth mentioning).
  • Fairy-type teammates are extremely beneficial to help check the Dark-types that can beat this set, such as Choice Scarf Hydreigon, Bisharp, and Mega Sharpedo. Mega Altaria and Primarina can usually beat these Pokemon one-on-one but should be careful of switching into them.
  • Answers for powerful Flying-types such as Moltres and Mega Pidgeot that can OHKO Celebi are necessary. • (Mention Justified users like Terrakion and Cobalion (you can remove Coba from the other point and put it here). Justified gives these mons the ability to abuse Pursuit users that trap Celebi and gives them free setup opportunities).
