  • Nasty Plot Chi-Yu can threaten to KO foes it couldn't otherwise, such as Ting-Lu and Blissey. Overheat hits extremely hard and threatens to OHKO Ting-Lu at +2. Flamethrower is valuable for its perfect accuracy.
  • A Modest nature alongside Life Orb lets Chi-Yu OHKO Ting-Lu at +2. Heavy-Duty Boots can be used instead to give Chi-Yu more opportunities to switch in, but the loss of power is notable.
  • Chi-Yu fits best on offensive teams with Pokemon such as Cyclizar and Grimmsnarl that can facilitate its setup. Sticky Web support from Masquerain is also useful, as it lets Chi-Yu outrun Pokemon like Koraidon and Miraidon and KO them at +2.

I think you can probably fix this up to include partners that can help it set-up, since you already wrote down Cyclizar. Grimmsnarl can set screens up for it, etc.

You might also want to mention webs as a playstyle. Think this fits very well there, since you don't need to keep find multiple ways to set-up.

while outspeeding great tusk might look as something appealing, the sole purpose of this set is to OHKO ting-lu at +2 with modest overheat. because of this, i would delete all mentions of timid and just concentrate purely on modest and what it accomplishes.


thats all honestly. this has good information. let me know if you decide to implement what i proposed or if you disagree.
