Sorry for the delay folks, irl stuff hit me hard this week. But back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Congrats to Team D by Solaros & Lunaris for winning this cycle! Your team will be added to the Hall Of Fame.

Cycle Six
:sv/ogerpon-cornerstone:

Let's mix things up a little bit. While mostly overshadowed by its highly threatening and metagame defining cousin, Cornerpon is very capable of bringing the pain thanks to its high powered STABs and uniquely threatening Rock-coverage, which lets it potentially slam through solid Wellspring checks like Dragonite and Raging Bolt. Coverage issues and a limited defensive profile make it much harder to fit on a team than the very consistent Wellspring, but Cornerstone can absolutely make some noise in a high level game. What can you do with this Rock Solid Attacker?

Cornerpon zam and lele act as the team's breakers with zama also acting as the teams primary speed control. Leles terrain is valuable for corner as it blocks priority moves like bullet punch from msciz. Lele also breaks through mons corner may struggle with such as kommo o. Ting lu corv and pex form the teams defensive core with corv comfortably switching in on opposing leles, pex checking mons like volcarona and ting lu sponging up other special attacks.

Zamazenta + Ogerpon-Cornerstone Offense

:zamazenta::ogerpon-cornerstone::latios-mega::heatran::clefable::landorus-therian:

Pretty simple offense based around Ogerpon-C, Zamazenta, and Mega Latios beating down each other’s checks while using their good speed tier or defensive typing to not easily be revenge killed. Latios in particular is great for shoring up the Mega Charizard Y and Waterpon matchups. Heatran is the team’s Steel and has Taunt to really harass defensive structures that can take on Ogerpon-C. Clefable is free to run Calm Mind and Electrium Z here which makes it great for luring and putting the hurt on other Steel-types. Landorus-T rounds out the team as Speed control, Electric and Ground immunity, and Defogger, as well as letting in the breakers for free via U-turn. Would like to shoutout Flames Of Elixir for helping me tune up this squad, as well as the others I’ve submitted ur my goat.

M-Aero + Cornerpon Offense

:aerodactyl-mega: :goodra-hisui: :great-tusk: :ogerpon-cornerstone: :tapu-lele: :alomomola:

This team revolves around aero's ability to outspeed all of unboosted metagame and fire insanely strong dwb. The set is 4a no rock move because it loves the coverage into gliscor/ferro/pex and other mons that would defeat the DD set. Cornerpon acts as true rock type on this team, with both aero and pon weakening each others checks and cornerpon posing an offensive threat to the ground and water types that aero hates. Tusk knocks off helmets and lefties while CM Lele breaks down steels and is a bane to defensive teams that would love to slowly break down this team. The real glue and synergy comes from mola's wishpassing to the rest of the team, letting lele set up multiple times, allowing cornerpon to stay at sturdy through hazards, and giving necessary recovery to Goodra. H-Goodra is the last component that was necessary to keep this team in check against many special pokemon, including the many fairy and steel types this team can't deal with otherwise. The evs are super weird, but it notably lives +1 Z-lele, a cc from iron val, and 2 weather balls from yard with hazards up. Even tho this team's got aero as speed control, gooey goodra acts as a last ditch effort to check val and scarf kart and stuff. Very fun to use, and one of my favorite teams I've curated throughout this gen.

Cornerstone + M-Latios Pure Offense

:Ogerpon-Cornerstone: :Latios-Mega: :Gholdengo: :Samurott-Hisui: :Tapu Lele: :Great Tusk:

Pure Offense featuring Cornerstone + Mega-Latios combined with hazard stack pressure. Latios is probably the best Mega to pair with Cornerstone as it can exert major pressure on defensive staples like Mega Scizor and Corviknight with Mystical Fire, allowing Cornerstone to have an easier time. Cornerstone returns the favor by threatening Ting-Lu, Alomomola, or Garganacl, while also having Knock Off as a good progression tool if it's not able to break immediately. Scarf H-Samurott pressures with spike stacking so Cornerstone switch-ins don't get too comfortable, while also being the main speed control; offering pivoting from Flip Turn, benefiting the wallbreakers of this team. Both H-Samurott and Cornerstone value Bulky Gholdengo's presence as it shuts down hazard removal, and they appreciate status immunity, while Nasty Plot takes advantage of passive walls like Pex or Corviknight, paired with Ghostium Z clearing them for Cornerstone. AV Lele is more than just a sponge for special attacks on this team; Psychic Surge helps block priority attacks from Mega Scizor, aiding Cornerstone, or Sucker Punch from Gambit, protecting Mega Latios and Gholdengo. Lele also checks Kommo-o and is able to trade with Volcarona using Psyshock—two Pokemon this team can't really counter without. Lastly, Lele being weak to physical attacks pairs well with Great Tusk to cover for physical threats and is the hazard cleaner for the team. Overall, if you're someone who likes makings sheist doubles and enjoys playing offense, this team is for you.

Ogerpon-Cornerstone + Pecharunt Balance Offence:

:Ogerpon-Cornerstone: :pecharunt: :Heatran: :KYurem: :Gliscor: :Lopunny-Mega:
https://pokepast.es/be632f55f0a5d887

Here's Chef Vlarcheops with his first time taking part of this competition! Therefore I am glad to introduce you to my team! I'll start with describing every Pókemon and its role:

:Pecharunt: Pecharunt acts as a physical wall with its absurb physical bulk against adversaries Ogerpon-Cornerstone is afraid of like Zamazenta, Ogerpon-Wellspring and Urshifu (and many more). This Pókemon does have a nasty STAB 100 BP Malignant Chain, having 1/2 chance to badly poison the opponent. If that'd be the case the opponent will be confused. Also its STAB Hex move doubles in power whenever the opponent has a status condition. It has also Recovery and Parting Shot for switching out.

:Heatran: Heatran serves as a speciall wall but also as a stally breaker with Cornerstone. It has STAB Magama Storm to trap opponents, Earth Power for coverage, Toxic for passive damage against the opponent, you can use it wheneber you think your opponent is gonna switch out or to passively damage your trapped opponent (If that Pókemon isn't a poison type).

:Kyurem: Kyurem acs as the immediate powerhouse again with Choice Specs along with powering 130 Special Attack. It has STAB Freeze Dry for Water types (mainly Toxapex), devastating STAB attacks with STAB Ice Beam and Draco Meteor and Earth Power for coverage against Steel types.

:Gliscor: Gliscor serves as the bulky defogger of the team and as a bulky Pókemon to take hits and hitting with Knock Off, removing the item off the enemy/opponent. It has great bulk all around and has Roost for faster and more efficient recovery.

:Lopunny Mega: Lopunny acts as the devastating wallbreaker, having an unwallable offensive type combination with Normal + Fighting along with its ability Scrappy. It also has Ice coverage in Triple Axel in case Kyurem dies.

:Ogerpon-Cornerstone: STAB Power Whip instead of Horn Leech for the raw power. It's worth it!

I thank my good friend Ineros!
For giving me few BUT helpful advices! I hope you're gonna have some (toxic) fun with this team!

Leads can either be :ogerpon-cornerstone:Coger or :urshifu-rapid-strike:Urshifu or even :landorus-therian:lando if needed. Set rocks with :landorus-therian:lando and taunt any hazard setters or defoggers. :tapu-lele:Lele is either the breaker or just future sight spammer for :urshifu-rapid-strike:Urshifu. :tyranitar-mega:Tyranitar can bait :kingambit:Kingambit with Low Kick and does his best to stop any ghosts / other :tapu-lele:lele's or even weakened foes. :ogerpon-cornerstone:Coger either brutually weakens a foe and get a kill or two, or even do an all-out sweep since the base damage being strong due to adamant. And also :volcarona:Volc is surprise defogger. (I burnt down the kitchen but it felt fun to me :D)

Unfortunate for me to say this but first of all, it's :ogerpon-cornerstone:Ogerpon-Cornerstone's turn for this week and second of all, the team you submitted doesn't have :zamazenta:Zamazenta based on the quote reply you used for your post.

SD Ace CornerStone Sun
:cinderace: :charizard-mega-y: :clefable: :great tusk: :kingambit: :ogerpon-cornerstone:

Originally build this for NDBD semis but alas our team was struck by tragedy. Team is still solid in the modern meta though.

:cinderace: : Underrated breaker. Has decent speed outpacing threats like ogerpon, latios, and tying roaring moon. Z-double edge at +2 demolishes toxapex, slowbro, landorus, chomp and other non dozo physical walls. Pyro and sucker punch are the coverage (second stab in sun) and priority to either revenge kill or prevent revenge kill attempts from gambit and scarf lando.
:charizard-mega-y: : Praise the sun, another breaker who scorches all but dragons. Sun also helps power up ace and clefable’s firepower and give tusk a proto-boost.
:clefable: : Fat rocker necessary to beat moon, zamazenta, and ursh while absorbing status. Flamethrower chips at ghold and gambit.
:great tusk: : 4a tusk cooks trust. Since clef has rocks you can use cc to help shore up the ogerpon, lopunny and moon mu. Evs have enough speed to bully ttar, zone and zooming past 110’s after a spin. Rest is a bulk dump.
:kingambit: : We know what kingambit does. More antioffense and wall breaker.
:ogerpon-cornerstone: : She clobbers the birds (which yard loves) and can boost up to become a blistering end game cleaner. Sturdy gives insurance against nearly anything as well.
