Here we go again...
Submitting scarf Lando T

:Ss/landorus-therian:

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 Atk / 64 Def / 232 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Punishment / Toxic / Knock Off

Looking at the current team, we still need a ground type, and good speed control. Therefore, Lando T is a great addition to our team, as it gives both these roles. It also gives another offensive threat, and has good defensive utility as it is another offensive check to various threats like Mawile, and can revenge kill other threats like a weakened Kartana or Medicham. The last move is dependent on what we use in the last 2 slots, punishment hits Mega Latias, Toxic can hit random stuff, and knock can annoy most anything that dosent have a Z crystal or mega stone.
:zeraora: by NuttyRabbit
:ss/Zeraora:

Zeraora @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Plasma Fists
- Volt Switch
- Knock Off
- Close Combat

Zeraora provides this team with an extreme amount of utility. To start, it gives the team a form of speed control that is not only naturally faster than the likes of Mega Lopunny, Kartana, Weavile, and Ash Gren, all of whom are currently major threats, but also a form of speed control that is harder to chip thanks to boots AND harder to exploit thanks to not relying on a Scarf. However, what it also provides the team with is a fast pivot that complements the slow pivoting that Corviknight brings. Speaking of Corviknight, while Corviknight serves as a way to lure in Steels and bulky Waters to pivot on into Lele and Medi, Zeraora does the same for the rising Grasses of the tier that are usually used to counter it like Mega Venusaur, Amoong, Serp, Ferro, and Tang, and it can not only pivot on them into Lele and Medi which feast upon them, but it can also Knock them, making it easier to chip them into range of the Psychics (and for Ferro it also chips it heavily with CC, making it easier for Lele to beat it and less risky for Medi to take it out). As an added bonus, it also lures in the various Dragons of the tier and does much the same thing. However, Zera's utility goes even beyond being speed control and a pivot, since thanks to Volt Absorb it can serve as a Volt blocker, stopping the likes of Kokos and Rotoms from pivoting on you. In addition, it also serves as a way to pressure the troublesome Slowtwins, which otherwise easily grab momentum on the team and make it hard to force progress.

For all these reasons, Zeraora slots perfectly onto the team, fulfilling a variety of roles and providing a ton of utility both necessary and just nice to have. The only downside of using Zera is its Ground weakness, although its ability to Knock Grounds and use them as a free switch into Corv is still incredibly useful.

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Earthquake
- Clear Smog
- Toxic
- Recover

Yes, Gastrodon does not provide the rocker and Latias answer we currently need. However, gastro does provide a special sponge to the likes of Heatran, reduces pressure from Zeraora in being able to switch into Koko, and provides a temporary buffer to Ash-greninja. Furthermore, Gastrodon is able to check one of the most dangerous setup sweepers in the tier, being Volcarona, which this team also currently struggles with provided it lacks the rare giga drain. Gastro also forms an incredible defensive core alongside Corviknight, with corv being able to switch into the sd grounds and Kartanas that can easily break past Gastrodon. The moveset is fairly straightforward: earthquake and recover are givens, clear smog removes boosts from dangerous sweepers such as Calm Mind Clef, Calm Mind Fini, Quiver Dance Volcarona and Z-celebrate Victini. Finally, toxic cripples potential defensive switch-ins such as Kommo-o, Tangrowth and the slow twins.

Garchomp @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Stealth Rock

Did I submit the Mega version on a couple of weeks ago? Yeah.

Is this kind of a cop-out, super cookie-cutter submission for this kind of team? Yeah...

Do I still think it's one of the best if not the best slot for this team? Yes.

Garchomp fills up a ton of roles that are currently missing from this team and patches up several weaknesses this team (still) has. We are still missing a Stealth Rock user, and not to mention a Z-Move user, so Garchomp is kind of a natural fit for this role. It also pressures 2 Pokemon that threaten our dual-psychic core, :victini: and :aegislash: , immensely while also providing a pseudo-switch-in for :heatran: and providing even more pressure against mons like :charizard-mega-y: from switching in. Dragonium is chosen as we have Zeraora to pressure Flying-types and we would could pivot it into non-Ice Beam :latias-mega: and threaten to nuke it in one shot.

There's honestly a few Pokemon here that could fill this slot but IMO Garchomp is definitely one of the most powerful and natural ones to do it.

Kommo-o @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 192 SpD / 64 Spe
Careful Nature
- Drain Punch
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Protect / Earthquake / Flamethrower

The team currently lacks a number of things, such as a rocker, and a frog, heatran and zard y switch in. This is where kommo o comes into play, fulfilling all these 3 roles, whilst also supporting its teammates, mainly zera by spreading toxic to weaken the opposing team for it to clean, Otherwise, pretty self explanatory.

Heatran @ Firium Z
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Toxic
- Earth Power
- Taunt

A little bit difficult last slot here, but this team currently struggles immensely versus CM :Clefable: , as well as still having the same issues as before versus some Pokemon such as :Victini: and :Aegislash: ; Heatran fills up these weaknesses nicely. We were also missing a Z-Move, so we give Heatran a Firium Z as an additional nuke to continue punch holes in the opponent's team for our dual psychics to clean.

Due to having one submission, Avaritia GC wins by default! This is actually a good thing, because now we can move on to Week 7: Adjustments.

:ss/tapu-lele::ss/medicham-mega::ss/corviknight::ss/zeraora::ss/kommo-o::ss/heatran:

Now it's time to fix issues our team has. Here's how it'll work :
In this stage, you can suggest changes which can make the team much more better and solid. You can suggest to change the EVs, Sets or even the Pokemon itself. Explanation for the new Pokemon/Set/EVs would be appreciated, however it's not compulsory. Please include a Pokepaste of your team, or I will not include your submission. Make sure to not completely remake the team into something unrecognizable.

Submissions are due by 6/11 at 11:59 PM GMT!

Edit: guess that’s the team then lol. See you next week for Cycle 3!

Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 220 HP / 96 Atk / 48 SpD / 144 Spe
Adamant Nature

Bulu is an amazing threat rn, and really fun to build around, due to its ability to beat common grass checks and not require a magnezone to use, +offers a lot of defensive utility whilst not being passive. Multiple takes can be done with bulu builds, grasspam, terrain seed offense with like a reuni, and sand bo are common. rlly underrated mon bulu>rilla

Why build mtios when you can have the cool and based MSableye Mega-Diancie ?

MDiancie is not a very common threat, but still can be terrifying for a lot of teams: its superb offensive stats makes it painful to switch into for most builds, and also probably is the best rocker against stall teams. Doing our CCAT around this mon also is a way to give the Royal Pink Princess the recognition she deserves in this metagame!

But seriously let’s do something interesting, perhaps a lower tier mega. I’m thinking Mega Glalie.
:Swsh/glalie-mega:
Glalies wack and kind’ve simple, so I decided to go with a relatively standard set, allowing it to beat other hazard setters while setting up its own spikes. Ice Ground coverage is incredibly potent and allows it to beat some setters such as heatran and kommo-o with ease. When finished setting spikes or when necessary it can go boom to poke a whole in the opponents team.

Glalie-Mega
Jolly Nature
Ability: Refrigerate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

I think volcarona is kinda undderated, probably because it's really hard to build a viable team with it, but it kinda pick it's checks and counter with Hp ground, psychic, safeguard, maybe z moves if you're playing HO or if you are confident in your hazard control.

I hope that because of it's options (and if volc is choosen), people can make proposition to modify the set when they submit a new mon so maybe Solaros & Lunaris can modify it or to just keep in it mind for the last part

Bulk up Z Zarude is a rather interesting wincon that has slowly but surely crept its way into viability and metagame relevance over the last few months thanks not only to its breaking power but also its ability to check stuff like Slowking, Ash Gren, Excadrill, Mega Tar, and others, as well as its surprisingly solid matchup vs styles like Rain, Sand, and even Stall. The given set and spread focuses more on power than defensive utility, with + 1 Z-Lariat and Power Whip being nukes after a boost and Jungle Healing letting it effortlessly shrug off the statuses that other setup sweepers deal while also giving it semi-reliable healing. For being such a potent Mon however, it has gone surprisingly unnoticed and underappreciated and foe that reason I think it would be worth building around

Well that and seeing as we've done a Fighting type and Psychic type for the first two cycles, I think it would be fitting to round it out with a Dark type to complete the type triangle
