heatran @ leftovers
specially defensive

normally offensive steel z tran baits ttar in hard but losing your lefties is rly huge on tran so i’ve chosen to keep lefties to check psychics & clef better over time while also luring tar in with bpress. set is kinda nice to enable smth like boltbeam lati but the main allure is not having to drop lefties while still beating tar
Focus Blast Hydreigon by |Powerman| !
Hydreigon @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Roost

With Focus Blast, Tyranitar is no longer a safe option considering that it would normally take minimal damage from Draco Meteor, and Earth Power doesn't even 2HKO. The set also has some other benifiets, as the other coverage options for steel types in Flamethrower and Earth Power either leave it walled by Heatran, or Corvnight and Ferrothorn. Otherwise it buisness as usual, checking mons such as Non-Ice Beam Ash-Gren, Aegislash, and Kyurem (It cannot switch into anything besides EP though).

252 SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Focus Blast vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar-Mega in Sand: 380-447 (104.6 - 123.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 164+ SpD Ferrothorn: 231-273 (65.6 - 77.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

:ss/Weavile:

Weavile @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Pursuit
- Icicle Crash
- Low Kick

Normally, Mega Tyranitar is a generally solid short term check to CB Weavile, being able to stomach anything it can dish out, even an Icicle Crash or Axel and essentially force it to take massive damage between its sand and Pursuit. However, the addition of Low Kick onto CB Weavile changes this dynamic entirely, letting the little weasel outright OHKO Mega Tar.

252 Atk Choice Band Weavile Low Kick (120 BP) vs. 88 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar-Mega: 520-616 (143.2 - 169.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Low Kick Weavile has other uses as well, being able to nail Heatran and Ferro hard, though losing out on priority can suck. Still, Low Kick Weavile does a great job of luring in Mega Tar and eliminating it.

Colbur Berry Reuniclud by @Stratus ATN !
Reuniclus's tendency to bring in Dark types such as Mega Tyranitar to halt setup makes this set a great lure to turn the matchup on it's head...70% of the time. Despite Focus Blast's trash accuracy, Colbur Berry allows Reuniclus to setup on the Tyranitar switch-in, live Crunch, and OHKO Tyranitar.
252+ Atk Tyranitar-Mega Crunch vs. 252 HP / 212+ Def Colbur Berry Reuniclus: 154-183 (36.3 - 43.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+1 0 SpA Reuniclus Focus Blast vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar-Mega in Sand: 360-424 (99.1 - 116.8%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

This set is best paired with Pokemon that appreciate the luring and removal of Darks and Mega Tyranitar, such as Zapdos, Slowking/bro, Kyurem, etc.

Mtar is a solid mon, but its lack of recovery means that it doesn't switch into many things reliably. Generally if it does switch in it's on mons it can pursuit trap, allowing it to avoid being outlasted. This is why I wanted to pick a mon weak to pursuit, so as to more reliably invite in Mega Tyranitar.

Most Glowking sets can threaten Tyranitar with a scald burn, but due to Tyranitar resisting both stabs and OHKOing standard Glowking with Crunch/boosted Pursuit people will often risk the burn. This is where the set comes in.
252+ Atk Tyranitar-Mega switching boosted Pursuit vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Slowking-Galar: 410-486 (104 - 123.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
176 SpA Slowking-Galar Sludge Bomb vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar-Mega in Sand: 35-42 (9.6 - 11.5%) -- possible 9HKO

252+ Atk Tyranitar-Mega Crunch vs. 248 HP / 252 Def Slowking-Galar: 312-368 (79.3 - 93.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage
252+ Atk Tyranitar-Mega switching boosted Pursuit vs. 248 HP / 252 Def Slowking-Galar: 312-368 (79.3 - 93.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage
8+ SpA Slowking-Galar All-Out Pummeling (190 BP) vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar-Mega in Sand: 376-444 (103.5 - 122.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 8+ SpA Slowking-Galar Focus Blast vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar-Mega in Sand: 356-420 (98 - 115.7%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO
Glowking avoids the OHKO from Crunch/Pursuit after sandstorm damage (ugly EVs are optimized don't @ me). The 8 EVs not needed to live Crunch are dumped into SpA to guarantee the OHKO with the z-move, as well as to help +1 Focus Blast rolls. Fightinium also hits the steels which want to switch in on Glowking's STABs, and the other Pursuit trappers in the tier. I added Shadow Ball for the perfect coverage™, but it can be swapped for one of Glowking's many options. If you blow the z-move you can CM as it switches in and then possibly OHKO with Focus Blast (more likely with hazard chip), but this risks a miss and involves revealing your fighting coverage, which will discourage the Tyranitar from switching in.

Had to nom glowking for you adsam you wouldn't rig it would you

Specs victini is actually pretty threatening and doesn't have many walls besides the obvious stuff like blissey and galar slowking. This is a great lure because most people expect v create victini and not specs and they would stay in and roost until you get the speed drop and defense drop. Once you switch and they swords dance you can glaciate and kill them. Although its 95% acc,if you hit it kills and if you miss than its unfortunate. It also kills gliscor without rocks which is good. Modest guarantees a kill while timid is a roll unless you have rocks up.

Calm Nature

- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Clear Smog

Despite being one of the better bulky Grasses at the moment, Amoonguss does suffer from also being one of the only ones to struggle vs and ultimately lose to SD Gliscor...until now. The general game plan of this set is to try and blank Gliscor's set up attempts with the combination of Clear Smog and Giga Drain for a few turns until the Toxic "damage" can build up, and then using Worry Seed to change its ability to Isomnia, negating its Toxic Orb and suddenly causing it to take a ton of damage or in some cases, flat out kill itself with Toxic damage.

While this set mainly deals with Gliscor, you can also use it to deal with CM Clef (albeit you would need to either go Sludge Bomb>Smog or have some sort of Toxic or Burn support)

Glowking is able to easily live an earthquake from Gliscor, likely avoiding the 2HKO. Gliscor doesn't die to any of standard Glowking's moves, and it generally doesn't mind taking any other than ice beam. I've copy pasted the NDUU CM Glowking set here as it can CM and then ohko Gliscor with Waterium boosted Scald. The Scald Sludge coverage is able to annoy many mons with the threat of status, allowing Glowking to function as an annoying win con. The mons it can't break (pex, ferro, gastro) it can burn/poison to assist other teammates in removing them.

Because Blissey has no real way to threaten Gliscor, opponents will frequently switch in on Blissey regardless of the situation, using the free turn to Swords Dance without any thought. After all, it’s harmless, right?

0 SpA Blissey Subzero Slammer (175 BP) vs. 244 HP / 244 SpD Gliscor: 380-448 (107.9 - 127.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Given the likely possibility Gliscor will use the free turn to roost, you yourself can also recover / “misclick” toxic, further luring them into a sense of security.

Still, Blissey usually runs boots, so the loss of protection against hazards can be scary on paper. However, its impressive special bulk allows it many opportunities to heal as it switches into a special move and is given a free turn to click Soft-boiled, not to mention that its ability strongly lowers the impact of any toxic spikes on the field. Another potential concern may be that this Blissey is using the z-move slot. There is an upside to this; running this set gives any team a nice knock absorber.

- U-turn

Although the physical/special split does not allow for Superachi to exist the way it did back in the day, your buddy Gliscor will be wishing he didn't switch into a Jirachi meant to pummel the poor thing.

252 Atk Jirachi Subzero Slammer (140 BP) vs. 244 HP / 244 SpDef Gliscor: 420-496 (119.3 - 140.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Max attack definitely isn't needed to kill this specific Gliscor, so putting a little investment in HP wouldn't hurt for more chances to live super-effective hits.

The way to bait in Gliscor is to... well wait Jirachi is faster than Gliscor. You don't need to predict with this set, but you can make gliscor feel safe by throwing up some rocks on the switch. U-turn is really just for pivoting, as although Gliscor may come in a U-turn, you want it to come in on Stealth Rock or Iron Head, trying to absorb a couple hits.

U-turn does come in handy since this set has bad matchups into Corviknight and Pex, but props if you pair it with a Zone to punish Corv for wanting to defog.

Also works with icy wind + icium z with substantial spA

+1 0 SpA Slowking-Galar Hydro Vortex (160 BP) vs. 244 HP / 192 SpD Gliscor: 376-444 (106.8 - 126.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Choice Band Weavile Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Blissey: 273-322 (38.2 - 45%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Jolly Nature
