Terapagos makes use of its exceptional coverage with a deadly alternative to its common set: choice specs. While most Terapagos seen so far on the ladder are a heavy-duty boots set, the choice specs set allows Terapagos to, among many other things, switch in, outspeed, and eliminate both Heatran and Buzzwole. To make matters better, both Buzzwole and Heatran are likely to stay in versus Terapagos. Both appreciate toxicing a Terapagos, and Buzzwole enjoys clicking drain punch into it after its Tera Shell is broken. Provided a team has strong hazard support (a feat made admittedly challenging in light of the fact that HDB Terapagos is one of the premier forms of hazard control in the tier), this set lures and eliminates both in game-winning style!

252 SpA Choice Specs Terapagos-Terastal Earth Power vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Heatran: 480-568 (148.6 - 175.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Terapagos-Terastal Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 212+ SpD Heatran: 360-428 (93.2 - 110.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
0 Atk Buzzwole Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tera Shell Terapagos-Terastal: 50-59 (15.1 - 17.8%) -- possible 6HKO
Non Tera Shell: 0 Atk Buzzwole Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Terapagos-Terastal: 200-236 (60.4 - 71.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Mon’s just fat, you get one cm then click tbolt. You either:
- cm on buzzwole EQ than ohko buzz, 2hko tran and have to eat buzz eq + tran epower at +1 spdef, take like 92% max
- cm on tran and eat 2 epowers for 69%
- cm on tran, eat toxic and epower, take 71% after 3 turns of toxic + epower

+1 252+ SpA Protosynthesis Raging Bolt Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heatran: 226-267 (58.5 - 69.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252+ SpA Protosynthesis Raging Bolt Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Buzzwole: 543-640 (129.9 - 153.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
4 Atk Buzzwole Earthquake vs. 76 HP / 48 Def Raging Bolt: 198-234 (48.2 - 57%) -- 91.4% chance to 2HKO
0 SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. +1 76 HP / 0 SpD Raging Bolt: 120-142 (29.2 - 34.6%) -- 6.7% chance to 3HKO

Gyarados @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Moxie
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Bounce
- Earthquake

Didn't even have to change anything from the sample set :P
- comes in on swole and takes 30% max from ice punch
- comes in on tran and eats toxic + magma stormm
- comes in on swole, bluffs mega, takes 22% on a drain punch instead
- comes in on tran, bluffs mega, floats over earth power like a gentle breeze
- dragon dance up

would have put substitute on this to really fuck over tran but this set really suffers from 4mms and i don't want to replace waterfall, bc i need eq and waterfall doesn't even OHKO tran at +1

252 Atk Gyarados Supersonic Skystrike (160 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Buzzwole: 580-688 (138.7 - 164.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Gyarados Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 408-480 (105.6 - 124.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Heatran Magma Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Gyarados: 67-80 (20.2 - 24.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after toxic damage and trapping damage
(remember you also need 1 turn to apply toxic)
4 Atk Buzzwole Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Gyarados: 87-103 (26.2 - 31.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
4 Atk Buzzwole Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Gyarados: 65-77 (19.6 - 23.2%) -- possible 5HKO

Voting is up! Ends Monday!

Our voting has left us with a tie! We need a tiebreak vote for either Gyarados, Mega-Charizard-X or Raging Bolt.
Congratulations to Hittite Jumpscare for winning this week of Break this Core!
Unfortunately this will be the last BTC week with me as I will take a longer hiatus from at least SV ND. I am very proud to have led this project for more than two years and reached 64 weeks in this generation alone. I also have to thank you all for your participation and BTC's co-host Dead by Daylight, it wouldn't have been possible without you!

After a shorter hiatus our co-host Dead by Daylight will take over and regularly continue this project.
