Medicham @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Zen Headbutt
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch

Breaks all of blaces checks and opens it up for lategame cleaning.

Kartana @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beast Boost
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Sacred Sword
- Knock Off
- Smart Strike

We all know how good Grass/Fire coverage is. Kartana hits urshifu-r, mdiancie, and non-booster variants of boulder for super effective damage (blace dies to aqua jet). It also removes the items of popular walls like clod and pex (blace dies to them, trick isnt enough and its too frail for supereffective damage) while being immune to toxic. On top of that, tera grass leaf blade is a nuke

252 Atk Kartana Leaf Blade vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu-Rapid-Strike: 378-446 (110.8 - 130.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Kartana Leaf Blade vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Great Tusk: 300-354 (80.8 - 95.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Kartana Leaf Blade vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Clodsire: 286-337 (61.6 - 72.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Ok I’m late… very so, but it’s time for the voting cycle, the last one before the Terastalization suspect ends!

Option A
Reserving venu mega
:sv/venusaur-mega:
Venusaur-Mega @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 248 HP / 164 SpA / 96 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Earth Power
- Synthesis

Mega Venusaur is an excellent teammate, as it alleviates the Ogerpon-Wellspring and Iron Valiant matchups quite nicely, deals with SpDef Tera Grass Heatran whether it has used Tera or not since it has Earth Power coverage, and makes Rain a feasible matchup. It's also nice for dealing with Knock Off and Toxic from a SpDef wall/pivot. Garganacl is one of Blacephalon's hardest matchups, and including MVenu makes it feel trivial. You will PP stall its Recovers. It's also one Mon away from a nice FWG core (Urshifu for instance).
Option B
:sv/Great tusk:
Great Tusk @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Icium-Z
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Headlong Rush
- Ice Spinner
- Stone Edge / Stealth rocks / Knock Off

Helps breaking common switchins like non-tera :Garganacl:, :Toxapex:, :Clodsire:, :Tyranitar-Mega:, :Ting-Lu: etc. Has hazard removal in rapid spin which helps with the rock weakness too. Pursuit is a lost cause but it's a valid option to double switch into if the oppo has like a :Tyranitar-Mega: on their team to nab momentum. Depending on the team u can pick between the two items ( whether ur priority is spinning safely or luring the birds ) .
In fact blace helps tusk in quite a few ways like tricking walls, punishing ghosts , Pressuring mutual checks like :alomomola:/ spdef :moltres: and just being a scarfer that picks off fast shit that tusk may not be able to handle.
Option C
Charizard-Mega-Y @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast / Defog / Roost / Air Slash
- Fire Blast
- Scorching Sands
Sun comes in handy so Blacephlon can pick up 1 or 2 OHKOs with Overheat, and Zardy itself Can get rid of Heatran or Untera'd Waterpon and make Flamethrower much more Spammable, Making of Blacephalon that one Late game sweeper. Focus blast can get rid of Offensive TTar too and make Blace sweep as easy as buying the circus' entry ticket
252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Tyranitar-Mega: 520-612 (128.7 - 151.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
ykyk
Option D

Ability: Pure Power
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Zen Headbutt
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch

Breaks all of blaces checks and opens it up for lategame cleaning.

Voting ends Tuesday!

Hi, with the recent vote on Tera being banned I’m closing voting early. Since jaja voted for himself (not allowed), mvenu by sh0shin wins this round; congrats! I am putting this project on hiatus so then we can get accustomed to the new Teraless meta. Stay tuned!

With the new vr update and new sample sets being created as I speak, it’s time to reopen this project!

Round 8: Terapagos
:ss/terapagos-terastal:

Terapagos @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Tera Shell
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Tera Starstorm
- Ice Beam / Calm Mind
- Earth Power / Flamethrower
- Rapid Spin

Terapagos has already proven to be one of the metagame’s best presences. Not only does it have an ability that allows it to soft check almost any offensive threat, it has a wide array of tools in its moveset that give it more good qualities. For starters, its coverage is wide and colorful, allowing it to target and help check the 2 main ghost types in Gholdengo and Dragapult among other Pokemon. Calm Mind is a rarer but still powerful option that allows Terapagos to act as a wincon able to snowball with rapid spin boosts. Speaking of Rapid Spin, Terapagos is also one of the most effective spinners in the tier in how it not only threatens the spinblockers but also virtually every stealth rocker barring Mega Tyranitar with the right coverage. That being said, what Pokémon is the best partner for the Tera turtle?

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet / Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Taunt / Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Earthquake

Comes into any Fighting-type that Terapagos hates like Mega Lopunny or choice-locked Urshifu, while being a safe pivot into Terapagos via U-Turn. It can setup Stealth Rock for Terapagos to notably let it OHKO Gliscor with Ice Beam, or Tapu Koko with Tera Starstorm (assuming its Choice Specs or Z-Move). It also handles bulkier foes like AV Kingambit for Terapagos who could potentially trade with it, while Terapagos itself handles offensive Gholdengo and Dragapult sets that Landorus-T can't handle. Finally, Taunt from Landorus-T prevents hazard removal while Terpaagos ensures its own team isn't hindered by them either.

Ability: Protosynthesis
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Encore
- Thunder Wave
- Dazzling Gleam
Fighting types? shit's unheard of. Twave spreader, wish restores tera shell, encore gives free switches, dazzling gleam lets it not be passive. Goated support, screams "I'm goated" on team preview

:sv/zapdos:
Zapdos @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Static
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave / Defog / Hidden Power Ice
- Roost

i have enjoyed 3a zapdos a lot with terapagos, since terapagos can provide a source of hazard control, freeing up a would-be defog slot for, preferably, heat wave (so many steels now!). you can definitely fit fog/hp ice as you see fit on your team comp, but i definitely recommend trying 3a sometime if you haven't already. with pagos, this duo combos well with any usual steel and ground type suspects on BO teams.

:sv/dragapult:
Dragapult @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Darts
- Phantom Force
- Dragon Dance
- Substitute

subdd pult with terapagos is basically the perfect combo. their typings complement eachother, covering for eachothers weaknesses. one is a phys sweeper and the other one a spec sweeper. they both can setup and destroy teams due to speed increases (rapid spin/dd) and the two of them are very potent mons on their own right. (also i put clear body cause of lando-t intimidate)

Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Def
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Encore / Thunder wave
- Wish
- Air Slash
- Tailwind

A very good fighting-type taker. Like Screaming tail, wish restores tera shell, encore gives free switches, while air slash does damage and is annoying when you are fatser with the flinches. Tailwind also increases the speed of the whole team, being supportive to Terapagos that can't increase its own speed. Overall Togekiss is an excellent support that takes fighting-type moves

Yeah I’m sorry for holding off on this project I was more focused on other mons stuff and I got lazy lol. Either way, congrats to Kinak for winning the previous cycle!

Round 9: Mega Diancie
:ss/diancie-mega:

Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 28 Atk / 228 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Earth Power
- Mystical Fire
- Moonblast

Diancie is one of if not the best mega evolutions NDOU has to offer, mainly due to its near unwallable coverage options which make it incredibly dangerous for balance and bulky offense teams. It’s also incredibly splashable on many teams ranging from balance to offense to hyper offense because of its traits as one of the tier’s best progress forcers and surprisingly useful utility against threats like Volcarona and Tornadus-T, along with having an excellent matchup against Sun teams. On hyper offense, it’s particularly seen as a lead to prevent hazards from going up while also hazard setting itself. How will you make the magical diamond’s light shine brighter?

- Knock Off
- Mirror Coat
av alomomola my goat
alo with av and mixed defenses can switch into literally everything that threatens mdia offensively. it can pop the air baloon on plot :gholdengo: and chip it enough for mdia to kill with ep/mystical, it can mirror coat special threats, knock items, slow pivot into mdia for it to do its thing and break, switch into steel and water moves that threaten a kill (and a partner like :corviknight: switches into the grass & ground moves neutral on alo) and is great role compression, for it being a slow regen pivot that can switch into something, knock, slow pivot out, and also get a kill if special attackers get too comfortable.

252+ SpA :raging_bolt: Thunderbolt vs. 4 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Alomomola: 254-302 (53.8 - 63.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (alomomola just mirror coats and it dies)
+2 252 SpA :gholdengo: Corkscrew Crash (190 BP) vs. 4 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Alomomola: 240-282 (50.8 - 59.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
248+ Atk Choice Band Iron Fist :melmetal: Double Iron Bash (2 hits) vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Alomomola: 188-222 (39.8 - 47%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
