Basically it covers Volcanion's Electric and Rock weaknesses very well, and the weakness to fire and water is solved by switching into volcanion, the only type that is not covered, is ground, which can be killed if their slower than volcanion.

Scizor is quad weakness against fire while volcanion quad resist fire meaning it already have nice synergy. Usual switch in for volcanion is blissey, chansey, mega latios and latias so mega scizor can pursuit trap them. Faster offensive threat such as tapu-koko, diancie mega also threaten volcanion so you could try pull a double sometime to check them. Scizor appreciate volcanion ability to switch Into scald from toxapex and threaten toxapex with earth power.

Lando covers the Ground, Rock and Electric weaknesses of Volc really easily, being immune to both Ground and Electric, and having super effective damage against Rock types, whereas Volcanion provides a safe switchin to Ice type moves because of it's 4x resistance, and Water type moves because of Water Absorb. Additionally Landorus also provides Defog support which is highly appreciated by Volcanion, because of it's weakness to Rocks.

Arctozolt @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Slush Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Substitute
- Bolt Beak
- Blizzard
- Freeze Dry

Inspired by the famous Ox the Fox Hail team, I am nominating Arctozolt as a counterpart to Volcanion. What makes this core so effective is that Ice, Electric, Fire and Water cover every single Pokémon type-wise, but also the pressure Volcanion exerts when opponents are trying to switch in their weather setters to deny Arctozolt’s Slush Rush; Pelliper, Torkoal, Hippowdown or Tyranitar will be OHKOed by Specs Steam Eruption while attempting to switch in to override Hail. Choice Specs Volcanion almost has no safe switchins, besides Blissey, and bulky Dragon and Water-types due to its wonderful dual 100+ BP Fire and Water STAB moves. Hence, it can wall and eliminate entire types that pose a significant threat to Hail, notably bulky physical walls or Ground and Steel Pokémon like Heatran, Rillaboom, Clefable, Corviknight, Mega-Mawile, Ferrothorn, Mega-Scizor, and Melmetal.

Arctozolt appreciates the intense coverage of Volcanion to freely sweep late-game, using its doubled Speed to pick off fast, strong threats that Volcanion struggles with like Zapdos, Latios, Latias, Landorus-Therian, Thundurus-Therian, Mega-Lopunny, Hydreigon, Blissey, and Urshifu. Freeze Dry and Bolt Beak allow Arctozolt to invalidate bulky Water-types that take little damage from Steam Eruption and Fire Blast, notably Tapu Fini, Rotom-Wash, Toxapex, and Gastrodon. Volcanion’s Fire/Water coverage can free up Arctozolt’s moveset, allowing it to run more useful moves like Substitute or Freeze Dry over Low Kick for bulky Steel/Rock types.

Volcanion is averse to Stealth Rock, struggles with many of the Dragon-types in the tier, has below average Speed, and can’t break a few dedicated special walls, notably Galarian Slowking and Blissey. Mega Diancie fixes most if not all of these issues—it revenge kills Garchomp, Hydreigon, and the Eon duo with its high Speed stat while using Diamond Storm to cruise through the two aforementioned special walls. In return, Volcanion can easily check Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor while letting Diancie not worry about Water-types as they give our steamy boy free entry.

Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

- Accelerock
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge

Lycanroc-Dusk paired with Volcanion is amazing. More Choice Specs over av or sub variants. A +2 Lycanroc can deal with Zapdos, Corv, Pex, Ferro, Clefable, Heatran, Blissey, Gliscor, Fini and non scarf lando. It's an amazing wallbreaker on it's own, even able to take out offensive threats in the meta like, Charizard, Excadrill, Garchomp (50% chance for an OHKO, 87.5% after rocks), Kartana, Kyurem, Tyranitar and Weavile. Of course having an opportunity to set up swords dance is needed, but that comes down to the rest of the partners for these two. By dealing with threats to volc when they come in on it, Lycanroc protects Volc quite well, and of course volc does the same for Lycanroc. Volcanion can deal with Scizor, a big threat to Lycanroc, and when the dog hasn't gotten an opportunity to come in and set up, Volc can deal with Corv, Clefable, Heatran, Gliscor, Tyranitar, Volcarona, Weavile, and chip damage to Latias, Pex, Zapdos (on switch in) of course the number of switch ins for Specs volcanion are limited so it varies to each opposing team's capabilities.

252 SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 252 HP / 56+ SpD Clefable: 252-297 (63.9 - 75.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 156+ SpD Toxapex: 178-210 (58.5 - 69%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 260-308 (64.3 - 76.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Zapdos: 295-348 (77 - 90.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252 Atk Lycanroc-Dusk Splintered Stormshards vs. 252 HP / 164+ Def Landorus-Therian: 361-426 (94.5 - 111.5%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
+2 252 Atk Lycanroc-Dusk Splintered Stormshards vs. 244 HP / 0 Def Gliscor: 475-559 (134.9 - 158.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Lycanroc-Dusk Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 200 Def Clefable: 309-364 (78.4 - 92.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252 Atk Tough Claws Lycanroc-Dusk Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 329-388 (92.1 - 108.6%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252 Atk Lycanroc-Dusk Splintered Stormshards vs. 248 HP / 184+ Def Corviknight: 424-499 (106.2 - 125%) -- guaranteed OHKO

These two just synergise very well, and of course they do need help from other partners live corviknight or landorus here and there, but they can do very well on their own.

Toxapex provides valuable toxic spikes support for reuniclus on bulkier teams, crippling the pursuiters as well as other checks such as tapu bulu and gastrodon. In the case where pex cannot poison them, it is able to wear them down with potential scald burns. The two also possess solid defensive synergy, as reuniclus is one of the best answers to the psychics that scare toxapex out, most notably mega medicham and mega latios. In return, toxapex checks the greninjas, scizors and volcaronas that scare reuniclus before it can setup enough to bypass them.

When I use Reuni I like to pair it with the basic mega lopunny set, you can switch it up if you want it to be more heat with like encore or pup but I like to just punch holes in the things that reunicles doesnt want to set up in front of. Something that is kind of heat for reuni to run thats not as common as z fighting is z electric with thunder, it deals with corv, pex and skarm in 1 hit and a few other mlop checks
