And the winner is... Ghostceus Webs :salamence-mega: :arceus-ghost: :smeargle: :zacian-crowned: :yveltal: :kyogre-primal: by Sami!

The next Pokemon is...
:sv/diancie-mega:
Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 108 HP / 184 SpA / 216 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Explosion / Earth Power / Stealth Rock / Encore
- Spikes / Stealth Rock

Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 24 HP / 32 Atk / 220 SpA / 16 SpD / 216 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Substitute / Stealth Rock / Spikes

Mega Diancie has always remained a hidden gem within the metagame. Earlier on, it was primarily used as a potent lead option that frequently shut down opposing leads such as Deoxys-S, Shuckle, and Smeargle. However, more recent developments include a powerful mixed wallbreaker, capable of smashing through typical GHAZ structures with correct predictions, while still assisting against the dominant Sticky Web metagame; Mega Diancie isn't a complete slouch defensively unlike Deoxys-A though, and retains a niche yet useful defensive profile against Yveltal and Arceus-Dark despite its lack of longevity. How will you build around this shining star? Building ends on Wednesday 3rd December.

:clodsire::diancie-mega::alomomola::ferrothorn::chien-pao::giratina-origin:Clodsire + Mega Diancie Semi Stall

Yeah, I'm aware that this looks almost like a NDOU team until the last two members are seen, but as I've explained in this RMT, this is a quite interesting blend of roles that compensate the theoretical limitations of each member for the most part with synergy and anti-meta traits, with Clodsire and Mega Diancie having the spotlight out of displaying unusual uses of their roles (or any, in Clodsire's case).

As this teambuilding competition focuses on M-Diancie, I'll highlight its niche as a mixed wallbreaker that eases the matchup into Sticky Web structures (which Alomomola + Giratina-O teams are typically weak to), pressures GHAZ cores, and even comes with offensive synergy with Chien-Pao, beating the Dark-types that can check it like Arceus-Dark, Yveltal, and Chi-Yu, while Chien-Pao in exchange can overwhelm blanket walls like Alomomola, as well as faster foes that'd pressure M-Diancie such as Ultra Necrozma, Eternatus, and Marshadow.

Alomomola's pivoting capability complements by easing their entry into the field, as well as long-term longevity, especially for Mega Diancie as it can then compress as a stallbreaker by not being worn down easily by Arceus-Dark and Giratina, with Giratina-O in the team acting as a secondary blanket wall to complement Alomomola at checking top threats like Mega Salamence, Primal Groudon, and Arceus-Ground.

Ferrothorn is mostly in the team to cover the Primal Kyogre matchup, but its role compression by setting layers of Spikes while also hindering foes with Knock Off and forcing switches with Leech Seed is still appreciated, with its typing also complementing to check Arceus-Ground, Arceus, and defensive Eternatus.

Finally there's Clodsire as a check to offensive variants of Eternatus without Recover, Zacian-C, Calm Mind Arceus formes, and after Terastallizing, Zygarde, with its deceptively high bulk when backed up by Unaware also letting it soft-check with Counter other physical breakers like Arceus and Mega Salamence.

I had a lot to choose from to submit this cycle, but ultimately I chose this. Mega Diancie and Alomomola make a great core as I've covered in the past, which I'm calling Sunstone. Marshadow loves the pivoting support from Alomomola, as well as Mega Diancie's ability to handle Yveltal and webs. The three first letters of GHAZ come together to provide the team with a strong defensive core, able to wear down the team over time before finishing the job with Marshadow.

And the winner is... Clodsire Semi-Stall :diancie-mega: :clodsire: :chien-pao: :alomomola: :ferrothorn: :giratina-origin: by Bobsican!

Next up we have...
:sv/groudon-primal:
Swords Dance Stealth Rock
Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Drought
EVs: 248 HP / 112 Atk / 140 Def / 8 SpD or 248 HP / 68 Def / 148 SpD / 44 Spe
Impish Nature
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge / Rock Tomb
- Swords Dance
- Stealth Rock

Former spread OHKOes defensive Ho-Oh with Stone Edge with enough Defense to avoid an OHKO from +3 Tera Fighting Zacian-C's Close Combat after Stealth Rock. The latter spread has more SpD for Primal Kyogre but does outspeed uninvested Zygarde; this is more suited for Rock Tomb variants though.

Swords Dance 3A
Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 248 HP / 36 Atk / 84 Def / 96 SpD / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge / Heat Crash
- Heat Crash / Dragon Tail

Avoids OHKO from +3 Tera Fighting Zacian-C's Close Combat, Tera Dark Life Orb Yveltal's Dark Pulse after Stealth Rock, and Choice Specs Eternatus's Draco Meteor, while outspeeding uninvested Zygarde.

Specially Offensive Support
Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 SpA / 96 SpD / 160 Spe or 104 HP / 8 Def / 244 SpA / 152 Spe
Mild Nature
- Overheat
- Precipice Blades
- Rock Tomb / Toxic / Hidden Power Ice
- Stealth Rock / Spikes

"252 Special Attack EVs with a Mild Nature ensure that Overheat hits maximally hard, while 160 Speed on Rock Tomb sets outspeed a -1 Marshadow. The remaining EVs are invested into Special Defense to better handle Primal Kyogre. Alternatively, if Primal Groudon is not running Rock Tomb, a spread of 104 HP / 8 Def / 244 SpA / 152 Spe can be used to avoid a 2HKO from Primal Kyogre's Ice Beam and an OHKO from +1 Life Orb Marshadow's Low Kick after Stealth Rock while outspeeding Adamant Necrozma-DM."

Eruption
Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Drought
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Eruption
- Precipice Blades
- Rock Tomb / Stone Edge
- Swords Dance / Stealth Rock / Hidden Power Ice / Toxic / Overheat

3A Rock Polish
Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 248 HP / 24 Atk / 120 SpD / 116 Spe
Brave Nature
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge
- Overheat
- Rock Polish

SpD investment survives +1 Tera Dragon Dynamax Cannon from Eternatus, while the Speed investment outspeeds Deoxys-A after a Rock Polish.

You are allowed to use other sets and spreads if you wish, but you are NOT ALLOWED TO USE DEFENSIVE PRIMAL GROUDON.

While Defensive Primal Groudon is easily the most popular version of the tier's best Pokemon, it's offensive counterparts can be extremely powerful in the right circumstances. While its no longer essential on HO teams like it was during USUM, Double Dance Primal Groudon can be a menace in the late game with its absurd power and speed. Meanwhile, SD + Stealth Rock variants keep the utility of Defensive Primal Groudon while being able to punish would-be checks such as Alomomola and Dragon Dance Zygarde. There are alternatives, albeit niche ones, such as Offensive Support and Eruption Primal Groudon, as well as the old 3A Rock Polish set used "back in the day." How will you build around offensive Primal Groudon?

Deadline is Sunday 14th December.
